I took my car in for a simple inspection. A week later the engine light came on. They suspected electronic water pump but light went out. I give this shop a half star. I recently took my 1995 Ford Mustang GT to My Transmission Experts on 5608 Hwy 6 North, Houston for a a refurbished Transmission. Upon driving it home my 1st and 2nd gears were not shifting properly. I had it towed back to the shop. Upon driving it home I noticed a loud noise coming from the Transmission. After arriving home from the shop I noticed my driver side tail pipe was loose and hanging. I contacted the shop again and spoke with the Mgr Luis Gonzalez. He was a bit condensending with me over the phone and said to bring my car back to check out these issues. I've spent $3,200.00 and yet to have my transmission repaired properly. I plan to take it back to the shop on June 24th. I'm hoping Mr. Luis Martinez corrects these issues. We will see. A follow up review to follow. read more

Less than 5000 m8les and I need another transmission, these guys kept my van 4 months and it still not right. They gave a 3 year warranty but they refuse to honor it, but what they did do is BS me until the warranty expired in and then got irritated somwhat threatening when I kept coming back. To this day I have less than 5000 miles on a transmission that yall so called fixed 3 years ago. Now they have changed the name and refuse any sort of assistance. The mileage on all my receipts reflect the mileage. I was thrown from my horse while the truck was in the shop, which I communicatedwith them , I had to have someone else pick it up for me. I explained to these people it was 8-9 months before I could even try to drive to test because I couldn't walk.. But when I finally drove it the transmission went out almost immediately . They kept the truck for 4 months before returning it. I picked it up and transmission failed as soon as I got off the lot. They kept it again for 2 monthsand anther unauthorized$1500 repaired they souced out to who knows who "electrical expert" to replace some sort of circuit board. Of course it still didnt work. Long story short 3 years , less than 5000 miles and $7000 later I'm still without a working transmission. ****RUN FROM THESE PEOPLE****. They also changed the name of the company so now they REALLY not fixing anything. CAUTION VERY DISHONEST COMPANY Shade tree Mechanics with a building. New name same scammers! I could go to court and win a judgement but I don't have the resources to do all that as I explained to them. So they basically stuck me with a hard one with no lube! I picked up my Dodge Caravan on 3-31-2021 from My Transmission Experts on Highway 6 N. The front desk guy, Jack Stewart called me and said your transmission is fixed, your van is ready to be picked up, the cost $2,350.00. Less than two weeks I drove the van and the transmission broke down; it felt the same way as the first day I took it in for repair. I went back to the shop and reported the issue to Jack, he asked to have the van back and this time he assured the problem will be fixed. (as to say the first time we flat rated the job, which means they did a patch job, which really means they did nothing to the transmission). But I went along and send the van back to the shop, this second time Jack kept the van for almost 4 weeks, I would call for a follow-up from time to time and the excuses were predictable, my mechanic is sick, or simply we are still doing work on your van. After almost a month, I got a call from Jack saying, your van is now fixed and ready to be picked up. All I asked was for them to do the work I had paid for and be honest about it. So, I went and picked the van up a second time, I was happy thinking that this time around it got fixed for good. But to my surprise, again less than two weeks driving the van it went back to the same problem, the transmission will not work after making a noise, it will not drive more than 20mph, and it felt like something was about to fall off while driving it. The whole experience with this shop (My Transmission Experts on 5608 Highway 6, where Jack Stewart is the only person there who you can talk to, scammed me of $2,350.00 and the van is now parked in front of my house broken down) for about two months was nothing short of irresponsible and deceiving work. It would have been better for them to be honest the whole time and tell me, we don't know what the problem is your van, than to make me think work was being done. DO NOT COME HERE! I called them in the beginning of August to see how much it would be for a quote/estimate to get my transmission repaired. I was told that they would charge $995 to take out the transmission and inspect it. They said this would go towards the overall cost of the vehicle repairs. My car was in the shop for a month and 2 weeks it was supposed to get a remanufactured transmission. This is definitely not a remanufactured transmission. After noticing the dashboard being broken I decided to check over everything. Don't go here. It is a huge scam. This is definitely a used transmission that has a broken transmission mount. This is probably why it took so long and why they had to rebuild it again. They broke the bracket that supports the catalytic converter and left the carrier bearing for the haft shaft loose. $3600 later and I don't feel safe driving my car now. read more

My car is a mess. I took it in because it had a transmission and engine light on. When I picked it up my car was out of gas completely and didn't even make it to the gas station. I spent my whole day trying to get it to turn on and eventually took my battery to autozone. They informed me that my battery was very bad. So I called the "experts" and they offered tow my car back there for free. I agreed because I need my car to work. So, they ended up finding the actual problem which was my battery and alternator. There was an oil leak on my alternator which was very clear to see for someone that works with cars daily. When I picked up my car after everything was said and done, my ac wasn't working. Sadly I'd rather sit in the Texas heat right now than trust someone else with my car. Don't trust this company with your car. They'll only break it further and steal your money. read more

I brought my car in 3 weeks ago to be diagnose. After finding out the problem, and the insurance adjus went in to do what he needed to do, the gentlemen remained friendly and courteous. Jack kept in contact with me to make sure my claim was being processed, but of course my claim wasn't handled to my satisfaction. They then waived the diagnostic fee and offered to help in any they could. Due to my plans for the car, I chose not to have it repaired. My Transmission Experts have been very understanding and willing to go above and beyond for me. I recommend them to anyone having transmission problems. My 75 year father took my truck in to check out my transmission. Instead of giving a price to look at it they said it would be free as long as we get them to do the repair. Do not fall for that because that means they can charge you and my 75 year old father whatever they want. The transmission was rebuilt 6 months ago. I checked the transmission fluid before we took it in and there was no metal in the fluid but they claimed there was and it needed to be rebuilt. They wanted to charge $5,200 to rebuild the transmission, which is 3 times the cost it should be if it was needed. I told them to put the transmission back in, no deal. Then they tried to charge me 9 hours labor/ $1,700 just to wrongly diagnose my truck. They are obviously trying to screw my elderly father, their bill came out to $1,700 for their assessment of the transmission and then I didn't get any diagnosis or written explanation of the problems with my transmission, only a credit card receipt. If they have cutting edge computer diagnostics programs then I didn't see it, Jimmy just told me lie after lie. Complete rebuild with parts was only $1,800 when I got it done 6 months ago! They didn't even put the dipstick back into the transmission, didn't tighten all the bolts on the transmission, and left the battery cable loose. On top of that there is multiple huge dent in the passenger side of my truck that wasn't there when we dropped it off. Don't go here, once they have your vehicle they wreck it and jack up the price, these people are crooks. STAY AWAY! read more

Thomas sims- the manager bent over backwards to help me get my car repaired, he even came back to the shop to meet me way after the shop was closed. He did exactly everything that he said that he would do and gave me more than a reasonable price. I was amazed by Thomas's commitment to customer service. Jones Rd location. But I called the Highway location to get help, and got nothing!!! I never go online to give bad reviews, but today I must let the public know of my experience with this place. I've own over 40 cars in 25 years and I never experience horrible service like I did at this location. This place not only practically stole my money, the sheriffs had to tell the manager to give me my car. I had to pay in full. $1,600 for work not complete. After 2 weeks of car being there they did not know how to fix clutch issue that they created. My car was running perfect, just needed a throw out bearing, they replaced it and the clutch, now car does not run. They kept my car for 2 weeks and lasted 1 week without touching it or fixing issue. The last 5 days that the car was there I would leave work early everyday and drive to this place to see if car is done, NOT DONE!! The sheriffs also was upset at the place even threatened to take the manager for theft! When I had tow truck pick up my car and take to another transmission place, the tow truck company knows of the horrible job this place does. They use to pick up warranty work cars. Work that this place did. The transmission place that I dropped my car of to now, also told me of how horrible this place is. I looked in BBB they had 6 complaints in 12 months. I wish I would have seen this. They paid a service to leave good reviews on google. The owner to this place received several lawsuits that he was forced to change the name making it look like it was a new owners. Same shady owners. I hope you read this. Now I have to do a civil lawsuit and I don't know how much the new transmission place is going to charge me to fix the car now. Make it short brought my vehicle up there for transmission problem. Truck was broken into tools radio etc. stolen . End up having too remac/ rebuild transmission. Not cheap by far. A little bit over transmission fails only reason I brought it back up there was because I was under the impression that trans was still under warranty truck sits a week doesn't move drive by every other day just too see if it has been moved too the the working bay.realized it hasn't as any normal person would I ask questions on what the hold up and if they diagnosed the problem. This is the worst organization i have ever dealt and how it still exist is beyond me. this place has blatantly taken advantage of the fact that i am currently serving in the Military located thousands of miles away and used this to keep my car in their shop for over 21 months! with no resolution in sight. they have refused to refund me and dared me to pick up the car while letting me know if i do that they cannot guarantee any repairs if i do. this forces me to leave the car at their shop while they take as much time as they like. During the 21 months i have dealt with a different manager almost every 6 weeks. i stopped counting on the number of managers I've had to deal with about 1 year ago and that was around 8. Each one promising to fix my car while blaming and informing me that it has been the company fault that my vehicle is not fixed. each one has failed to find a solution as to why my car is not running. Reimbursement was once promised over a year ago and has since fell on deaf ears. I have called and emailed and there is no way to speak to the owner of the 5 shops as none of the managers will give out his information. What is approaching 2 years and my car sits there being neglected for the most part. Some of the things i have dealt with are lies, arguing, cursing at my daughter, blatant disregard of my vehicle, lost vehicle (took 3 weeks to track down my vehicle), and among many other things. the car was given to my daughter by myself as a gift to go to college and i trusted it for a simple transmission repair to this place. it has caused many headaches and pain and I'm at a complete loss of words as i find myself vulnerable as there is nothing i can do as they keep my car there hostage. i cannot even get a detailed history of what they have done during the 21 months. all of this knowing that I'm not there physically to do anything. I took my vehicle in for one issue, gave me a deadline, and a week later I had to go in and see what the status was, just to be told "oh ya, its done. my guys are waiting to see if there is a leak in it, its been driven 3 times and you will be able to pick it up by 5 today." (now mind you the entire truck was covered in dust/dirt, as if the vehicle had not been driven in days) Picked the truck up by 5, and drove to the store. On the way to the store, the dash lit up like a Christmas tree (abs, breaks.... all of it). Pulled over and checked breaks, good... E break pedal....NO E BREAK!!!! Now mind you, I had to get an inspection on the vehicle before I started having Transmission problems, so it was working. While driving back home, vehicle started doing the same thing. initial diagnosis was the transmission needed to be rebuilt. The next day, arrived at 8am, and explained the situation, that vehicle was doing what I initially brought it in for. Few days later, went back to be told that a wire to the speed sensor was loose and that it was tightened and all is good now. So, like an normal person, started thinking.... If I brought it in for the same issue that happened last night, how did the transmission need to be rebuilt. Got home, looked under the vehicle, and now have a dripping oil leak. Immediately took the vehicle back, and while waiting in the lobby another dissatisfied customer said not to go there because they are scam artists, now our turn to talk, and was told that they did not cause that but will look into it. As I proceeded to tell Jim Hernandez what I thought of him and his services, I told him what I saw happening and the SCAM he is running on people. After the first time taking my vehicle back, requested a parts list that was ordered to do the rebuild, and was told he would get the list.....Still to this day...NO LIST....Funny right? only further proving the scam he is running. Got my vehicle back, and was told "as a courtesy," he changed the oil pan seal, to keep his customer happy (OH, happy is the last thing we are with this place), and that it was wiped clean and all is well. I have been provided so many lies by this company I will not be able to list all here only the few major ones. 1st and most important, I brought my vehicle in after the check engine light came on and I noticed something wrong, I googled the closest automotive shop near me because I was worried about damaging my vehicle further by driving it. I provided all info I could to the manager Thomas, 3 days later he sent me 3 text of what he explained was my transmission in bad shape showing all of the damage. At this point he provided me a cost that I was not confrontable with and asked him to hold off. He called back 10 minutes later stating he wanted my business and decided to drop the cost $800. On Feb 3rd I decided to let them do the work. between Feb 3rd and Jan 17th I called 7 different times to see why my car that was suppose to be completed in 7 working days or less hand not been completed. On the 17th I had still not received a call so I decided I had to go in to figure this out. Scott the "New" manager on site stated at that time my vehicle was done and they had simply not had the time to contact me. I am totally fine with this. I drive the vehicle off the lot only to get 10 miles down the road and the check engine light and same problem is happening again. I called and Scott stated it was best that I drive the vehicle for a few days with my check engine light on to see if the problem will correct its self. I stoped immediately at Precision Auto Repair and told them what Scott had just asked me to do. They agreed with me that you should not be driving your vehicles for days with a check engine light on. I drove vehicle immediately back to the shop expressed my concern. From Feb 17th to Feb 25th I called another 6 times for an update, I had no return calls so once again I drove to shop to force a conversation. At this point another "NEW" manager was there Jeff. I was able to video our entire conversation, Jeff stated he was "brought from the corporate location to clean up this shi* show" and that Thomas nor Scott were with the company any longer. I expressed my concern that I did not believe any work had been done to my vehicle and his response was that he had concerns too. Jeff expressed that he had brought a new technician that he could trust in and was going through all cars transmissions to see what if anything had been done. At this point I was still going to give them the benefit of doubt they could make this right. Then Jeff showed me his computer screen and stated why my vehicle was not on the top of his list, they had over 15 vehicle ahead of mine, so I asked how they could possible be ahead of mine, his response was that I had brought my vehicle in on Feb 17th and they were before me. At this point I lost all faith if they could not even keep track of when my vehicle was brough in (*Jan 31st) then how could they possible fix anything. I decided at that point this company was not competent enough to work on my vehicle and I wanted to know if any work had actually been done to my transmission. I asked for my keys so I could have vehicle towed away to another shop, they lost my keys, "seriously". my guess is. Several attempts to prevent this from going to small claims court by a reasonable conversation showing my evidence to the owner Sam. He just like all of his managers will not return a call. Please Please Please, do not use this company In fact their is an extremely reliable company in Livingston called Guys auto service, if you would like HONEST and RELIABLE. I suggest leaving Houston all together especially My Transmission Experts. They are the absolute worst company I have ever ever dealt with. read more

The name of this Transmission shop fits the experience perfectly. Thomas and his crew not only provide the best service of any automotive shop I have ever been to. But also provide the best quality of service. My transmission shifts better now than when I bought the truck. The work was completed in a very timely manner. Terrible place! Do not take your transmission to be repaired or replaced here. They replaced our transmission a week later we take it back because it is making loud noises. They assured us it was fine and it was just trying to find the way we drive. Now a month later it is sitting in front of their shop again because the transmission is not working and there is transmission fluid all over the back of the car. They need to give rentals for their shitty work read more

I had to do a complete over haul. They offered the lowest price I could find. It took A while to get my vehicle back, which is why I didn't give a 5 star. They also honored their warranty when it came down to it. I will use them again. read more
