BUYERS BEWARE. I would give negative stars if I could. I purchased a sofa and loveseat, and unfortunately, the loveseat does not fit the way I expected it to. I contacted the store hoping they would work with me on a return, but apparently customer service ends after they drop it off to you. To be very clear, my dogs are not allowed on the furniture in my home. The reason they are refusing the return? Five single strands of dog hair on the foot of the loveseat. Yes -- FIVE STRANDS. The loveseat was otherwise in perfect condition and exactly the way it was when it was delivered. I even offered to wipe the hair off myself while the delivery team was still in my home, and they would not even allow me to do that. I thought, surely, I could simply reschedule the pickup and make sure the loveseat was PRISTINE before they came back. Apparently, I was wrong about that too. I was told the return would still be denied. Again, once they have your money, don't expect them to do anything else for you. I deeply regret making this purchase and will forever advise anyone with children or pets to not buy from this store, or any Ashley/Regency store. read more

Do not use this location. I have now waited two months for my furniture to be delivered. Today delivery was happening and all the pieces were incorrect and were not what was ordered. Two months later, I still do not have the furniture. Called the store and spoke to Chavon "Sales Manager" who was unable to rectify the problem. I asked to speak to the general manager, and she was unavailable to take phone calls, and they would not be able to call me back until Monday. Definitely will be going to corporate. Absolute nonsense and absolute terrible customer service. Update: I spoke with the general manager on Saturday and she was going to speak with her manager and get back to me on Monday and I have yet to hear anything from her. It is now Thursday at 5:18 PM and still no callback. No resolution. No acknowledgment. I called yesterday and left my name and number again and still no return call. This is getting to be ridiculous. Update #2 It is now been a week since I was promised a call back by the general manager. I have called this location every day all week long to be told that the manager was not available or in meetings and that a message will be left for her to give me a call back. Again it is now Sunday at 3:30 PM and this manager has yet to respond back to any of the messages. I requested her manager's contact information to which I was told I was not able to be given. I requested that a message get sent to him for follow up. I will continue to wait to see what Kind of follow up this manager has. As a manager of the company I work for, this is truly unacceptable. This is not a good business practice at all. Update #3 It is comical how the "owner" only responds to positive reviews. Update #4 Still no return call from the "General Manager" and an email was apparently sent to her boss to give me a call and I have yet to hear from him/her. Cannot make this up how terrible their customer service is. Think twice before using this location. There are plenty of other competitors out there. Update #5 Furniture finally delivered in full 2 1/2 months later. Not bad, outside of the fact that I now need to wait for a drawer handle replacement that came broken from the warehouse. Now that the furniture has been delivered, I will wait for the replacement handle to arrive and to see what compensation/refund the store will be providing. To date, the General Manager never returned any of my calls/messages left for her and her manager never bothered to reach out and return any call at all. I hope they right the situation sooner than later. Update #6 Attempted to contact the Bel Air location again tonight as I have yet to receive a call from the general manager, Candice. It has been a few weeks now since her original message where she told me she would give me a call back with some sort of resolution. To date, I have called the store numerous times left numerous message for both her and her manager to call me and have received a call back from neither one of them. Called again tonight and spoke to Chavon who again took 7 1/2 minutes to get on the phone and again had an attitude about him. Asked him about the handle that was damaged in delivery and when that would be mailed out to me and nothing was posted yet. Again asked him to have his manager, and her manager reached out to me, so we'll see how long this takes now. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. My wife and I purchased a sectional from here a few years ago with the warranty. We were told my the sales rep that the warranty would cover damage to the framing (we had a similar issue with a previous couch so we wanted clarification.) Recently the framing on the couch broke and we filed a claim with the 3rd party company they use. We were told that we would hear back in 48 hours. After 3 weeks of not hearing anything, I had to call the company just to be told that they denied our claim. They refused to go into specifics of why they did and even told us that they would charge us a fee to have someone come out and inspect the couch. When I called the store back to get some help they kept trying to pass me off to the 3rd party company or to their service center (who told us they couldn't do anything.) after about 20 minted of talking to a rep at the store they finally connected me to a manger who assured me that he would reach out to the claim department and get more informality. Well.... It has been 2 weeks since that happened and we shockingly have not heard anything. This store will lie to your face to make a sale and just ignore you if you have any concerns. We bow have a broken couch and have gotten no help from the liars who sold it to us. I assume all of these reviews are From people who just bought their furniture and have not had to ask for any help from this company as they couldn't care less after their commission check hits their bank accounts. read more

Ordered furniture. They use a 3rd party delivery service. Bookcases were on the truck in boxes pre-assembled. The two delivery gentleman could not carry the furniture up my steps. Two of the bookcases were never taken off of the truck. Delivery men annotated on their Form that the "furniture was delivered and cancelled". Ashley refuses to re-deliver the bookcases unassembled. I was accused by their phone receptionist of failing to measure for proper fit. This means that Ashley furniture can charge me a 30% restocking fee. This fee amounts to $1359.45. The room where the bookcases should have been placed had the height, width and depth to accommodate all three bookcases. This is customer abuse and thievery! read more

NO STARS!!! I would never purchase from Ashley Furniture again. I purchased a dining room set it was delivered damaged I had the delivery guys take pictures and then i called the store to inform them of the damaged furniture within 24 hours and was told to come in and select a new set. I went into store selected a new set was told someone would call me the next day with a date and time for the set to be picked up no-one called i had to call the store and then was told that i had to keep the set because it was after the 72 hours from being delivered i said no on the back of the receipt it says you have 72 hours to call the store to tell them it was damaged. I called within 24 hours I even emailed them pictures of the damage. The store manager then told me that she would have service come out and fix the items i said no i would like the set be replaced with a different set i don't want the same set because the quality of the furniture is not good. The only thing I was asking for is the set to be picked up and i would select a new set. Then she told me i had 72 hours to pay a pickup fee for the damage set that was delivered to me. Why would i have to pay $150 for a pickup fee for you delivering me damaged goods. I have also sent multiple emails with no response. My attorney has already been contacted to start the claim on Ashley Furniture in Churchville MD. read more

I've purchased furniture from this location for many years under a variety of names (Gardener, Wolf, etc) , but now that it was bought out by Ashley the customer service is horrendous. I purchased a brand new sectional which was delivered with a chunk of fabric missing from one side. I noticed it 5 minutes after the deliverymen left, tried to call them and they didn't answer. I immediately called the store and followed up with pictures via email. I was contacted by the service department who told me they would order the part. I assumed they meant that one part of the sectional, the loveseat, since it was delivered to me damaged. When a random piece of fabric arrived to me via UPS, I called the service department to ask why they were sending me fabric to repair a brand new couch section instead of replacing that piece (which I believe is Ashley's policy if it is within the first few days)?? The woman I spoke with was incredibly rude and unprofessional, and refused to let me speak to anyone past her. I called the store and was given the runaround for a few weeks while the store manager attempted to reason with their corporate office, but was ultimately told there was nothing she could do (she was at least polite and considerate). There is no reason I should have to have a brand new couch repaired when it was delivered to me damaged on day 1. Ashley Furniture is completely unethical, and I would warn anyone not to shop there. read more

I have spent over $4000 on a sectional couch with Ashley Furniture. It took me countless phone calls and messages sent on Twitter to Ashley Furniture. The store in Bel Air closed, which I bought from, NO ONE was able to figure out how to use my $500 5 year protection plan. My couch is 14 months old. After two weeks, I finally found a person in the store at Churchville who took the time out of her day to find my order and help me get a claim started! I'd like to send a HUGE thank you to RACHEL LOZZI! Without her help I would still be making endless phone calls to get my issue resolved! Ashley Furniture, I would never buy from you again, but you should keep Rachel happy, she's your only good employee. read more

My wife and I went in spontaneously to look at living chairs and/or sectionals, which we have been looking for off and on for more than six months. They have a very good selection in a bunch of price ranges. There is the usual group of salespeople at the front of the store, but not a lot of pressure. Abdul took care of us, looked up prices, and gave us a nice discount. He did a great job, no complaints. Pumulo processed the sale at the counter. Abdul entered all the details with us at a sales kiosk at the rear of the store. Happily, ALL that information made it to Pumulo at sales counter, and I only had to confirm the big details and pay. That how computers are supposed to work. The delivery was on time as promised. I called mid-week, and again at the end of the week to check, and spoke with two other people, both of whom were able to look up the delivery status quickly and give us the information. The two guys in the back of the store helped load my little trailer with the three unopened (but clearly labeled) boxes. We had a pleasant chat. The chairs were assembled easily enough, and look great. The price we paid was a good value, and the staff was all professional. Frankly, I am surprised by the 1 star ratings - I don't give up 5 stars on a whim. This was the CHURCHVILLE location. read more
