The local Ashley HomeStore is not affiliated with the online corporation so forget about using the chat feature - they do not actually direct you to someone local even though the robot says it does. If you call the local store number and no one answers by the fifth ring, you are automatically transferred to corporate and guess what? They can't help you because you ordered in store. I have spent over 7 hours on hold with customer service, I have missed 2 full days of work for deliveries that never came, and I am so over it that I don't even know what to do. I will never do business with this company again. I do not recommend ever purchasing from the Bellingham Ashley HomeStore - save yourself the headache and buy from LITERALLY anywhere else. I'd attach photos, but it would just be of my empty house because it's been 7 weeks and counting for this company to figure out how to deliver furniture 20 miles away. read more

My fiance and I had a great experience buying our mattress and bed frame here! We worked with Arturo, who was so helpful and patient with us. He listened to what we were looking for, answered all of our questions, and wasn't pushy in the slightest. We also worked with the store manager, who worked with us and gave us a great deal on the mattress base and even threw in two $150 pillows for free. We were able to discuss our options by ourselves without feeling pressured and took our time walking around the store looking at our bed frame options. The only negative would be that additional salespeople approached us while we were trying to pick out the frame, almost like they weren't aware that we were already working with someone and were told we could take our time by ourselves to look around. It got a little frustrating trying to pick something out and discuss amongst ourselves when other people kept trying to approach us. At the end of the day, we got a great deal on a Tempur-Pedic mattress, base, and frame, and walked away satisfied and excited to visit Ashley Furniture for future furniture needs. I would highly recommend working with Arturo - he was beyond patient with us, extremely helpful with all of our mattress and financing questions, and took his time in ensuring we had a great experience. Well... if you want to do business at a company that cares about your wallet more then you the customer, then sure by all means shop here.... Ashley HomeStore is nothing short of horrendous. If you find yourself there on a weekend you will be meet by 12 sales persons eyes, almost as if they are judging you and what you may or may not buy. It feels like you will be jumped on by everyone. It would also seem that customers are in a way obligated to make a purchase even though customers are free consumers and aren't to be obligated to buy anything, you should be able to just browse or look without feeling eyes on your or even being followed. If that isn't enough, one salesman who is tall and darker skinned with a beard walked around eating candy from a Dixie cup.... yea real professional... Then on top of that, multiple employees were just walking and talking not helping anyone but having personal conversations when there were multiple customers needing help. Another bald salesman I saw sitting on a couch on his phone. I don't know how a company like this will last when in honestly I'd rather pay the prices at Macy's then deal with what Ashley HomeStore calls good customer service. I'm not sure if his is just how Ashely is or if this is the lack of professionalism, but either way they need to completely rehire all positions. Oh and I you think for one second that you can receive better help at the counter think again.... you'll probably be meet by a woman on her phone and eating..... It saddens me that I can't put less than one star. To anyone thinking about it... DON'T waste your time or your money. Spent about 45 minutes working out a deal for dining room chairs. My husband and I asked SEVERAL times to confirm that it would come with a total of 4 chairs because on the order it was just written that it was 2. The "salesman" said that they come in boxes with two chairs. One month later two chairs are delivered. We go down to the store today to explain that we only received half of what we were sold and paid for.. we were rudely greeted by a manager I believe by the name of Kate who asked us "what we needed" when I know she had already been briefed about the situation by an employee we were just speaking to. She was so rude and unprofessional! We explained that we were pretty irritated since we had just wasted a month waiting for our order when only getting half of what we were promised. She told us there's not much she can do but she'll speak with the employee about not lying to people in the future. She then asked us to just return the chairs. Uh hello?? I drive a pretty small vehicle to be hauling around tall bar stools. When I explained this to her she responds "yeah I drive a small car too. A Ford Focus." Not sure how that was the least bit relevant. HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE. NEVER going back. And will be calling corporate shortly. read more

Even in a world where "furniture store" has become the new "used car lot" with regard to customer service and rip offs, this place stands out as particularly terrible. If these people put a quarter of the effort they expend dodging responsibility for their blatant mistakes into actually helping people they might, MAYBE be OK at their jobs. LOL! Who am I kidding? NOTHING they do will EVER make them good at their jobs. When we pointed out that we ordered a different chair from "them" than what was delivered they decided THAT was the time to get SUPER detail oriented and pedantic and correct us that "they" didn't take our order since they had never met us. This went on for a while and then it moved in to how it was our fault for accepting delivery even after we'd told them that we DID refuse delivery but their drivers refused to take the chair back to their truck. At this point a manager came over because at Ashley it's apparently a policy that if you want to mistreat an upset customer it should be done by management. If you are thinking about coming here to buy home furnishings do yourselves a favor and stick your hand into a running fan while chewing on aluminum foil. Sure it's going to hurt and when you are done you won't have your furniture but it has the benefit of being over faster and you won't have wasted 100s of dollars. read more

Spent over $15k on bedroom, living room, and dining room furniture. Well guess what they selling product they don't even have on hand or access to ship out. No knowledge on the issue. Didn't even bother to call me to explain that my scheduled delivery date has been pushed out because they are out of stock items purchased. I understand the delays with the shipping containers but don't lie to make a sale. And tell me I will be getting all that I ordered on this day. Why are you even open or selling products you don't have!! Us consumers have paid for the product have the right to know. Don't play games with us and be honest. Apparently reading reviews this has been happening since before Covid. We bought a mattress for our room and a new sectional for our downstairs living room. The service was so great! Fayez and Travis helped answer all our questions that we had. It was a totally different experience than what we had experienced at other furniture stores. We were so excited to get our new mattress when it came in. The delivery system was awesome. Fayez told us they would call or text us to setup the delivery date and time. They called and texted us about one week prior with a tome window of four hours. Then on the day of delivery in the early morning they sent us another text that we could track our delivery with. It gave us a one hour window. Then we received another text when they were 15 minutes away. They showed on time, were super professional and were out the door so fast after setting everything up for us. We were so thrilled with the service that we went back and bought a coffee table to go with our new couch and a bedroom furniture set to go with our new mattress. Fayez helped us again with figuring out dimensions and other questions we had. I would highly recommend them to others. The prices were GREAT! The service was awesome! The delivery was so punctual! I will definitely be back for any other furniture needs I have. read more

Would not recommend buying anything from this store. We spent $4500 on a brand new sectional couch. When it showed up the main recliner was broken. It took 8 months of the store sending techs out to try and fix it. Of course we have to take time away from work to be there for them. They made 3 attempts and the store still refused to refund us any money or just simply take that piece back. They were extremely rude and were absolutely no help through this entire process. The Bellingham store manager constantly blamed his subordinates as to why the issue couldn't be fixed and didn't apologize about the agony they put me and my wife through. 9 months later they finally got us a replacement piece. When it showed up there were three gentleman who spoke zero English that brought it in and completely scratched the walls and the floor. One of them spilled their drink on my floor/couch and then just left. Absolutely the worst service and people I have ever dealt with. Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere. My husband and I have never had a worse experience attempting to purchase anything in our entire lives. If I could leave negative stars, I would. PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE REVIEW IF YOU ARE EVEN REMOTELY THINKING ABOUT BUYING ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE!! We walked into this store and really liked a dining room set. We were told if we financed we would get a large percent off of whatever we bought so we figured why not. We got the dining set as well as a couple nightstands with phone charging plugs at the back. My husband asked the sales rep if they delivered and he said yes, then my husband immediately followed up with "for free?" and the rep said YES. When our new Ashley account had ALREADY BEEN CHARGED, the sales rep gave us the total. It seemed like way more than it should have been so I asked about the percent off. Only then were we told that the dining set was already on managers special and that the cost was less than if they had taken off the managers special then given us the deal with the percent off. NO ONE said anything about managers special and us not getting the percentage off of the price we were looking at prior to this moment. My husband really liked the set, so we got it anyway. We were not given a breakdown of how the total amount came about until we were about to walk out the door. When we got home I reviewed it and realized we had also been charged $150 for delivery! We called and that's where the nightmare really started. We were told they don't do free delivery so there's no way the guy would have told us that. So they essentially called us liars. THEN, we look online at the Ashley website and discover the items we purchased were hundreds of dollars cheaper on the website. So, we called again to ask if they would price match it. After some more back and forth they said they would but we would have to eat the delivery cost and pay for it outright. We should have just canceled the whole thing at this point but my husband was really in love with the furniture, so we agreed and went back to the store for the refund on the Ashley account and to pay with a debit card instead. Delivery was scheduled for a Friday in between the hours of all morning basically. My husband took work off to wait. The truck arrived WITH NO DINING TABLE. My husband told them he wouldn't accept the delivery because there was no dining table with it, but then he was reassured by dispatch that he could still return the items if we were unhappy with what the store had to say about our table not being on the truck. So he signed for the items. When we called the store OF COURSE we were told they don't accept refunds after you sign for it. I called corporate and was told the table was on back order, that the store should have known this, and that there was nothing they could do but take our complaint about the store. The store claimed they were having computer glitches in the whole Ashley system and had no idea the table was on back order. They offered to give us a $100 Ashley gift card. They could not have paid us to shop there again. We asked them to apply it to our purchase, and they said they had lost too much money on us already by giving us the internet match price so they couldn't. After some more back and forth they agreed to have a truck come pick up the furniture and refund us. This was after we threatened to drive the furniture back to the store and then call our bank and dispute the charge. Mind you, we never even mentioned that the nightstands showed up without the phone plugs on the back. We are assuming this is a special feature you have to ask for but of course no one mentions that to you when we buy them. My husband had to take off work again to wait for the truck to pick up the furniture. After they picked everything up we were told we would need to go back into the store to be refunded. When we called we were told they had no record it was picked up and they would call us when they got the information from the truck. No one called so finally we called AGAIN and were told we could come back in to get the refund. When my husband went in for the refund he got no apology. The entire time we dealt with everyone in this store from sales rep up to manager and everything in between, as well as corporate, there was a huge problem with communication, everything was shady, and once we made it clear we wanted the refund they were downright rude. The staff and apparently the whole corporation are completely incompetent when it comes to customer service seemingly unless you don't look beyond the scam they are selling you and don't bother to stand up for yourself. It was the worst two weeks of constant stress involving OUR money that we have ever experienced. If you show even the slightest amount of dissatisfaction they act like you should be grateful they even agree to talk to you anymore. After walking through the entire store we decided to go to the large customer service desk at the center of the store. We found a girl sitting behind the counter playing on her cell phone. Went to Ashley Furniture on Sheridan Street and my sales girl was Christy. Let me start by saying she was very nice, Bought a dining room set and a dresser with 2 night stands. They delivered everything on Jan 7th. At the time I noticed the chairs were not leveled with the floor and a small tear in the chair. The table is leveled fine. At that time I told the delivery guy to take it back and his words were "As soon as I leave customer care is going to call you and send someone out to repair the problem or they will take it back then". I told him NO just take it back. He took the dresser in the bedroom and asked me do you want me to take the foam stuff of the handles and I said of course I do!!. He starts heading for the front door and I tell him again to take the set with him and as he gets to the door he says "If I take it now you will not have anything and do not worry customer care will take care of you and LEFT!!!! I wait and no one calls. I call customer care service myself and explain to girl what happened and she says I am sorry this happen and we will send someone JAN 21ST out to take care of the problem. I said no I want the set picked up and to the guy to take it back and he just left. I finally got so upset and did a dispute on my card. This was the very first time in Ashley Furniture and I loved it...After this NEVER AGAIN...They are connected with City Furniture which I did not know. Someone was on my patio doing work for me and I am so happy because he heard the whole conversation. The drawers on the dresser and night stands also stick really bad and they said that is the way they are. They said its a good set, just not one of their better sets..REALLY $1700.00 and not one of their better sets!!! They refuse to take back or exchange!!!! THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR FURNITURE!!! Ordered a furniture set of two sofas with lamps and tables and only the lamps and tables arrived on time. We had the choice of waiting an extra month or decide to just order a different sofa set. Our new order of the sofa arrived and the two workers couldn't fit it through the door. They had only tried 2 ways of turning the couch to fit it through and gave me a hard time about it. From the start they had attitude and made me feel like a burden. Then suggested they leave it outside for me to take in myself. I suggested to lift it through my back door from the balcony, which is only 2 feet tall but aggressively refused. The one guy called up customer service on speaker phone to get someone to refuse me as well. I didn't want to continue this any further so I declined the furniture and did not end up getting my sofa. It definitely would have fit through my door if they were open to trying other angles. Such a stressful and inappropriate experience. I ended up buying a sofa from somewhere else with no problem. I have never written a bad review about any business but my family's overall experience with this store has been nothing short of horrendous. Our first purchase was a dining room set. It was delivered and assembled. Soon after the delivery guys left we realized the table was damaged. We called the store right away to let them know. The service techs who were booked to come out to the house to make the repairs did not come. We made another appointment - no show. To top it off, no one called to inform us either time. Before the second no show, we ordered a box spring and bed frame and head board. The delivery/assembler realized the head board was damaged and guess what, no box spring. We at this point decided to go in to find out what the heck was going on and decided at this point to return the dining room set. In fairness, there was a manager and a gentleman working behind the desk that evening who attempted to find answers for us and the manager even offered to compensate us for our inconvenience. However was told we needed to come back in the next day to talk with the main store manager Chris. We agreed and let's just say he made it pretty clear by his attitude and dismissiveness that he was unhappy we chose to return the dining room set. In that moment, he had the opportunity to do the right thing by taking care of us, THE CUSTOMER!!! So now I wait to see if my head board and box spring will show up on the date given to us.
