Rick!! Go to him, I'm not one to write reviews about customer service or experiences in stores. But man did this guy stand out from the rest. The minute I walked in he guaranteed me the best furniture for the best price. We both walked around the store probably 2-3 times going back and forth between stuff. I dragged him along the entire way of my indecisiveness. Rick truly was looking out for me, learned and remembered my background and my life so he could meet my needs in the house. He constantly wanted to make sure I liked the product. And even thought he could sell sell sell the expensive stuff all day... he didn't. He made sure everything was well within my price range. He knew the store like the back of his hand so If something was too expensive for me he walked me over to the right stuff and we browsed there. I could go on and on about Ricks customer service, but idk if yelp will allow it. Take my advice and ask for Rick when you go in! Upon purchase of the sofas, we also bought a warranty to cover damage to the sofa and when it was time to make a claim the warranty company has gone out of business and another company is is do the warranty work for them OF APPROVED! Well, the damage WAS NOT approved and Ashley Furniture will not stand by the product sold to us or even issue a refund for the warranty that we paid $499. If you are looking for furniture, go someplace else and get piece of mind for what you are buying. They didn't assemble it correctly and my daughter fell through the top bunk because they didn't drill in the slats. It's been about a month, still no resolution, offered me $50 and then store credit. I bought a queen size Sealy princtn firm mattress from Ashley's Furniture Store. It has lost it firmness. They send a technician out to take pictures of the mattress that I paid over 2,000 cash for. How are pictures telling a technician about the softness of the mattress are the backaches the mattress gives me. He said he saw how the bed sunk down when he asked me to sit on bed, and laid on the bed. But they go by pictures. A person doesn't go by pictures when we purchase a mattress. You use your physical body. This doesn't make any sense. When he pushed down on the mattress in certain areas, some were soft were I slept and sat. Other areas were firmer. Okay, let's make sense of this. Warranties don't help. Too many loop holes. read more

Delivery team was great, but i am not happy. I paid extra for delivery AND assembly. Was told this was the "white glove" delivery & assembly. Everything would betaken care of. I was even told when at the store that once this bed frame was assembled, it was not returnable. I was willing to take that chance. When the delivery team arrived, I was informed this was a "customer assemble" item. I told them i paid extra for the "white glove" delivery and assembly, they informed me they only deliver. I have already spoken with a service representative and requested my $80 delivery fee be reimbursed. If I was told when purchasing this item that it was "delivery only", we could have brought it home ourselves in our truck, but I'd probably have gone with a different option that includes assembly. I am not happy and you'll probably only see me again if I can't get someone to assemble this and I end up returning it! Update: I have spoken with several Ashley employees, and even returned to the store where nobody was even willing to discuss the situation. I was handed a phone number which I called. Was transferred multiple times and put on hold several times. Thankfully, I have an amazing neighbor that came to my rescue and assembled the platform bed frame. I came in for a scheduled interview, but the interview never took place. The sales manager, Lashawn (I believe that was her name) remained seated at her desk eating food and immediately told me I was "not appropriately dressed for an interview." I was not greeted professionally, no handshake was offered, and I was not given the opportunity to speak or explain my situation. During this time, employees were yelling across the store, some were on their phones, and a few staff members were wearing hair scarves, which made the focus on my appearance feel judgmental and discriminatory rather than professional. I recently bought a sofa from Ashley Furniture, and on the same day of pickup, I opened a case for a return because the sofa does not fit in my apartment -- it won't go through the staircase or the elevator. It's still brand new, unopened, with the plastic and packaging intact. However, Ashley's customer service has been absolutely unhelpful. They keep sending me away, refuse to respond properly, and won't even discuss a return or reselection option. No one warned me beforehand that they do not accept returns at all, even for brand new items that can't be delivered or used. Now I'm stuck with a sofa I can't even bring inside my home, paying over a thousand dollars for something sitting in storage. This is completely unreasonable and incredibly frustrating. I have to do pop ups in the store to get any type of communication. They have rescheduled my delivery about 7+ times now with no eta. On top of that when they do cancel, it's during the delivery window ,not even giving me advanced notice so my time is being wasted sitting around waiting. I asked the first day I made the purchase if there was a back order because I experienced this with my couches a few years ago and they told me there was no back order which is why I was confident in purchasing it. The reason is always, "it hasn't made it to the warehouse." Is the product just sitting somewhere? What is going to take to get it to me? We visited Ashley Furniture in Schaumburg,IL looking for a new sectional. The sales person, Sabrina showed us several different sectionals. we found one that we liked and I asked her to see if it was made in America. I told her I didn't want any foreign made products. Without hesitation, she said "yes, that is manufactured in North Carolina and is very good quality. The furniture was delivered on 11/25 and set up in our family room. it was not inexpensive and cost around $4k dollars. When the men were through, I went to watch them clean up the boxes on my front lawn. there were 5 boxes for 5 pieces. Each box was marked "made in Viet Nam". They left very quickly and the furniture was already delivered and set up. I called Selena to voice my displeasure and she said "I'm sorry for the mix up but I can't be expected to know where every item in our store is manufactured. We bought a mattress about three months ago and when we bought it, the sales person told us that we have a 30 day warranty. We didn't like it. When I told the salesperson, I was going to order it online I was told I should order from them in case anything went wrong with delivery they could help. The sectional arrives and does not fit! I called the store to complain and was told that I cannot return any pieces of the furniture, the set up was not completed. Went to Conroe TX store, the salesman Sunny who wears a Drs. coat is very pushy. He sell the beds in the store. Told him what I wanted and ask him how much and what could he do for me. He said he had to talk to his manager. He first tried to give me a free base worth 300$ I said that's not what I want. He continue calling me and texting me. It's like a bait and switch scam he has going on. Finally he said he take 500$ off. Well he should have did that the first day. And if he can take 500$ off, they are still making money. The best part of the experience of buying furniture at Ashley is actually being in store. As soon as you walk out the door, you're completely and totally screwed if you have any semblance of hope for a normal furniture buying experience. We were disappointed that the original delivery date was going to be 3-4 weeks, but were given false hope from the salesperson that it could be available earlier as "sometimes it's faster than predicted." Our original delivery request date came and went, then the actual expected date came and went. We received three calls/emails stating that there was a delay, so we ultimately have now waited over 6 weeks. We were beyond excited when the email came saying our delivery was going to be today and prepared our whole living space to receive the new couch. When it arrived, we unpacked it only to realize that it was only half the couch. I called the support line, and they informed me that the other half of our sectional was still on backorder and was not even given an expected delivery date. We're beyond disappointed and would 100% be cancelling our order if we didn't have half a couch (the chaise, not even the usable loveseat that makes the chiase functional) sitting in our livingroom already. The best way to review this store is to look at the experience we had of buying a kitchen table from them. We bought a beautiful table from Ashley Furniture. We loved how it looked in the showroom, and were happy with it at first. Very sturdy and high-quality. Then over the course of just a couple of weeks through normal dinner time use, we noticed it started to show a lot of wear. The finish essentially comes off! After a bit over a year, it now looks absolutely awful and we're very disappointed with our purchase. I made the mistake of not acting on the table issue sooner, as now that I'm past the one year warranty, Ashley Furniture won't do anything to help. Their online support people say to contact the store because it's past 12 months, the number you get for the store says to call warranty support, and I can't even get the warranty support system to understand I'm pressing "1" on my phone for English. I purchased a power lift recliner for my elderly mother on 5/21/ 25 to be delivered on the 27th. I paid the extra fee for hassle free delivery and assembly Delivery crew delivered the chair, assembled but did not explain to her how to operate. If they had gone through all the options physically they would have known that chair was not working properly. The back of chair does go back and forth as it should, the message mode works, the ottoman only moves about an inch or two and the lift does not work at all. After several hours and calls on the 27th I was able to get a warranty claim . When I did not hear from anyone able when service for chair would be done I called customer service again . The young man I spoke to said the girl I had previously spoken to had scheduled an appointment for later in week and she had not informed me. My patients are wearing thin by this time, mom is 94 years old and needs this chair to work properly, he rescheduled my appointment for today the 29th. So far I have not received any notification as to when they would show up. NEVER AGAIN will i purchase anything from this sad so called business. read more

I ordered a bed frame on 12/11th (Wednesday) and I was scheduled for a delivery on Saturday 12/21st (2024). My card was charged a few days after I made the purchase online. Then a day before the delivery, the money was put back on to my debit card. I thought I would be charged the day of the delivery or right after the delivery. And the day after the delivery, I was emailed that my card had been charged for the full amount of the bed frame and the delivery and set up. That didn't bother me but it was inconvenient for me. However they didn't charge me when they sent the email. And I ended up being charged later on Monday December 23rd the day before Christmas Eve for a purchase I made on December 11th. That is my biggest complaint. Just take the money off the debit and then stop going in and out of my account making unauthorized charges. When things like this are done, there is so much room for fraud and or stealing. I've had terrible experiences with stores that do this and they did steal. This Ashley Furniture experience happened during the holidays with Christmas shopping and bonuses and or rewards so it was very inconvenient. Imagine paying on the 11th and then having money added on the day before delivery only to be charged on the 23rd. Money taken out, put back in and then taken out a day after I was said to be finally charged. I would recommend people go into the store to purchase the furniture because then maybe the debit card won't be used without your authorization after the initial purchase. I ordered an ottoman and couch on 4/24, I opted for the "No Hassle Delivery + Assembly" to be delivered on 5/7. On 5/3, I received a voicemail saying if I didn't call back to confirm my delivery they would cancel it and I would have to reschedule. I called back and confirmed I wanted it on 5/7 and asked about the time it would be delivered. They told me that I would get an email the night before with details. Well on 5/7 I did not get an email so I called in, the automated agent said it would be delivered between 9a-1p. At 1:30p I hadn't heard anything and called back in, they stated they called me at 10:23a. I told them I had not gotten any call. The agent then told me the phone number they called, it wasn't mine even though everything had the correct number and they had contacted me earlier. I asked when it would be delivered and they told me it was already returned to the warehouse and he could try seeing if it could be delivered on 5/10 or 5/13. I stated this didn't work for me as I live in a high rise and need to have it scheduled and I was available on 5/8 or 5/9. He told me he would request it and I should get an email overnight with a new delivery date. Well the next morning I had no email so I call in again, I talk with an agent who said he would escalate it and he couldn't do more then email the delivery team. I asked to speak with someone higher, I got connected with Aileen M. from their Customer Experience Escalations team. She told me that they would give me an email to see if a 5/8 or 5/9 delivery was possible and she would handle everything moving forward. Then offered me a $50 coupon for my next purchase. I told them I don't want a coupon I just want my things delivered. When I asked when I would get an email back she told me within the next couple of hours. After almost 4 hours I emailed back asking for an update, an hour later she told me they are available 5/10 or 5/13 again. I was able to arrange everything to get it on 5/10 during a specific timeframe and it took her almost 15 hours just to say I will get you an update when I can. As of right now I feel as if Ashley Furniture doesn't care about their customers and they have no issues dragging you along. I have been in customer service a long time and have no idea how a business can operate in the manner they do. read more

This is a weird company for me to rate. We always go into the Tukwila location to see/test furniture we saw online. We got couches from here years ago that we loved, and although our delivery date was delayed a week for that purchase, we got such a good deal and were happy enough with our couches that when it came time to buy new ones, we tried again. The deals were great - we saved $500 on our new set online vs buying in store, and bought them in early October for a delivery date of November 7th. This was delayed twice - which was frustrating, as we sent away our old furniture on November 5th. They delivered it on the 20th, and called the day before to confirm and let us know our delivery window. They did deliver it to us at the beginning of our window that day, and we do like our furniture. Would we order again? Honestly idk - we would probably heavily shop around first before choosing here again since their deliveries are never on time. read more
