Went into store as soon as they opened on 3/22/2026. Waited 20 mins for the single person there, Chad, to finish with a customer that got in before us. Wife and I had a series of questions and were being shown different options when another customer came in, who Chad left for and spent 30 mins with. Came back, apologetic, as that customer had come in to discuss her delivery. Ended up spending 1.5 hours in store because there was only 1 person working. We decided on our furniture, a full $7400+ set, chosen specifically because we were told all of the items were in their local warehouses and would be delivered that week, prior to an event we had scheduled at our home on 3/28. I received a call on Tuesday 3/22 by Brittany, the delivery coordinator, who told me that we would not get our furniture until Tuesday, 3/31. I expressed my frustration that we were promised delivery that week, and that what they were doing was a bait-and-switch, overpromising and underdelivering. I told her Chad had made this promise to us, to which she replied that she may be able to use a 3rd party delivery service that handed overflow for them during the busy months, and that she would get back to me. She never did. After my call with Brittany, I called Chad directly at the store, who apologized "for the misunderstanding". ultimately admitting that he made a promise that he couldn't keep. He said that he would get with Brittany to see what could be done, but if nothing actually could be done to get the furniture to us before our event on the 3/28, he would "guarantee that he would make sure that we were taken care of for the trouble". Furniture arrived on 3/31, after I had to call the store and ask what the status was. Additionally, there was nothing included nor followed up on by Chad or Rich's on Chad's second promise of "taking care of us". All-in-all, a terrible first impression and experience. The furniture itself, while well-made, is overpriced for what it is. We were willing to pay those costs due to the promises made. Instead, they took our money and ruined our event by not following through. This will be the last time we ever order from Rich's. read more

We bought a freestanding gas fireplace in September in 2021. When purchased, Rich's Tukwila Washington, assured me it could be installed within a week or so. I admit I don't remember the exact details but I do know it was halfway or more through the winter before they were able to install it. This I attributed mostly to Covid. The only saving grace for them, is the service person that eventually came out was so good, informative and professional and did a great job installing our fireplace. Fast forward to December of 2025. The fireplace quit working. I called for a service repair and was not able to schedule until February 19th. Days before they were due to come I received a text, I was being rescheduled to sometime in March. As of today February 26th I still don't have an exact date they will be able to fix it. Meanwhile Rich's is advertising big blow out sales and adding more soon to be disappointed customers to the list. I'm not sure I would trust their promises. They don't do what they say they are going to do. I miss standing in front of my fire during the cold rainy days here in Washington. The one star is for the service person. Otherwise there would be no stars. read more

Edited. They now say it is due to a wiring issue. The first tech they sent had never worked on our model of spa and was very young. He did something with the electric panel under the tub. He removed some things and then replaced the components. He was on phone with a tech the whole time. He did fix air lock but when he left several hours later and we checked the spa the readout said heating suspended. They have been out additional times with different issues. Readout panel is now out with parts on order. It is our hope that they will come and get spa. We have requested this several times We purchased a Wellis Houston hot tub at a pop-up event in Chehalis from Rich's For the Home On April 26th. It was delivered on May 31st. It has not worked since we bought it. I have asked numerous times for them to come pick it up. They say that is not an option, due to some small print on the back of the invoice. They have been here 4 times counting delivery. 1sr person sent after delivery didn't even know there was a problem. He thought he was coming to do water class.Hot tub still does not work and they refuse to come and get it. They now have another part ordered for the last two weeks.I have stopped payment and have sent complaint to the Attorney General. I have numerous notes and texts. read more

Edited again: Just keeps getting worse, So the Tech who looked at the pictures and diagnosed what was wrong with my spa, (yes you read that right, they diagnosed my spa's problem from a picture, because the child they sent out to work on my spa, new little to nothing about spas.) said that is was probably just an O ring that had failed on the pump. I asked why then would you want to replace the whole pump, when all it needs is an O ring, he said, "Because the manufacturer does not sell us O rings only the pumps." So, they want to charge me for a new pump at about $1,200 for parts and labor for a $3.00 part!!!!!! What is wrong with this company? I am an older woman on my own and I am certain they see me as an easy target. If I knew anything about machinery I would take this thing apart by myself, but sadly I do not. Shame on you coast spas! Don't expect service and tech support from this company. Bought the extended warranty and am trying to use said warranty. There is ZERO communication from their warranty department. I have had to call Rich's and warranty department frequently to get any answers on the fact that they are not coming out to find out why my spa is leaking. Finally they after sent out a child with no real experience to diagnosis the problem. It was apparent from the start he had little experience with spas, so I asked him how long he had been doing this, he told me he really didn't work on spas that he worked on fireplaces but he would fill in when they needed help with a spa. He had to continually send texts to someone to try and figure out what was going on with my spa and then took all the panels off the spa, looking for a second pump which he said he could hear was trying to start but was not working. (there is no second pump). After unable to find the second pump which he could "hear was trying to start" he told me, well they told me there is two pumps. Said Tech guy told me I would hear from Tech support that day to schedule a new appointment to replace the leaking pump. No call, no word for 6 days and that was only because I called Rich's repeatedly to find out when my leaking spa would be fixed. Every 3 days I have to replace 2inches of water lost through this leak. This is going to cost me a lot in water alone. The text they finally sent said, "Currently waiting for an ETA date on your replacement pump diagnosed by our tech." 6 days later I have still not heard from them. Have again left messages with Rich's and tech support for any answers. The saga continues. Edited: Oh wait there is more. Got an email from Tech, saying the manufacturer (Coast Spas) will not replace the pump because it is my fault it leaks. They said I put too much chemicals in and therefore not covered under warranty. This diagnoses came from a picture the tech they sent out, showing calcium deposit on pump. From this they decided it was my fault and I will now have to pay near $1,000 for a new pump and $179 per hour to replace. 1. The pump is working fine, it is leaking from an O ring or gasket, not sure what is in there. 2. I am not paying $179 for service when they have already proven that they send out people who have no idea how to work on a spa. (read above for more on that). This is ridiculous. Good luck if you buy a Coast Spa and something goes wrong with it... and something is bound to go wrong with it. Stay tuned for more I am sure! read more

The service, techs and product they sold (pellet stove) are HORRIBLE. I feel scammed. They never fixed the pellet stove they sold me and changed the service appointments multiple times. (2 months time) This is the only source of heat and the temps inside was extremely frigid. They told me they had the part but never came to install it. Then they texted the night before to cancel the appointment because they now didn't have the part. Yo-Yo service from a Yo-Yo company. And the parts they replaced wasn't what was wrong with the pellet stove. Monroe Fireplace came out and fixed the pellet stove and told me to manually light the fire so I didn't freeze to death. We bought a huge Napoleon grill for our house in Bellingham, Wa. Our house is rather tricky to find and also difficult for a large truck to have room to park in order to deliver. Then, after all that....we have a maze of steps to get to the house! I had doubts that the delivery people would be able to get the grill down the stairs, but Jonathan and Gustavo arrived, found a place to park and navigated their way down the maze of steps and placed the grill exactly where I wanted it and not a scratch on it! They were so professional and nice and didn't even complain about the difficulty of this delivery. I highly recommend their service. Now, if the weather would just get warmer!!! read more

We had a great experience here, don't remember who I worked with but everyone there was really helpful. My aunt recommended them because she got her woodstove installed here. We ordered our woodstove here Mid Nov 2018, we asked to be put on a stand by list (in addition to our set appt on installation a month later) just in case someone canceled so that I could get in sooner. One week later we got a call and were able to get in 3 weeks ahead. It was a fast process with the installation, they checked down our chimney to make sure it was clear enough to install everything and it was great to go! Prices here are WAY more reasonable than everywhere else that I called. And they were way more helpful and straightforward. They have models in their store that you can look at in person and give you several pricing options. It was quick and painless. We paid them for the wood stove stuff, and paid the installers separately after they were done. They have payment plan options if needed as well. We LOVE the fireplace insert we bought from RIch's!!! We initially had some issues with them around where/when our fireplace would be available. Problems are going to happen with all companies though and it's most important how they deal with issues when they do pop up. We bought the fireplace in Mar/2020 right at the beginning of the shutdowns due to COVID19 and Rich's was short-handed like most companies. After we complained about the issues Rich's bent over backward to take care of us. Like I said, issues can always pop up and this was a very unusual time, but Rich's showed themselves to be a very reputable company. In the end we 1) love the fireplace and 2) love how Rich's took care of us. read more

It took three winter months of staggering ineptitude to fix a gas fireplace that stopped working. Toward the end of the Christmas 2000 holiday our gas fireplace stopped working. Early in 2001 we contacted RICH'S of Lynnwood to arrange for service. A few weeks later the first repairman arrived and determined that he needed a part he had to order. He offered to reinstall the glass front he had previously removed. He did not explain to my wife that without the glass panel there was a large hole in the living room that was open to the outside. Since he appeared to be in a hurry she politely said it wasn't necessary and he left. As a result we spent a good portion of the winter with a large cardboard box ineffectively taped over the hole to the outside in our living room. The repairman offered to try to expedite the part order. About five business days later we received a call from RICH'S informing us that they couldn't order the part until it was paid for. The first repairman had been given our credit card data but we supplied gain. Weeks later RICH'S scheduled a visit by a repairman. A few days later the second repairman arrived to install the replacement part but he noted that the first repairman had not noticed tat a metal box that enclosed backup batteries was rusted out and had to be replaced. Of course the metal box had to be ordered. He removed the cardboard box and replaced the glass front and said he would try to expedite the order. About five business days later we received a call from RICH'S informing us that they couldn't order the part until it was paid for. Although we had already given them our credit card data at least three times we supplied it again. By now it was about mid-March. We called for an update the box was expected later in March. Then earl in April we got a later date. When we called we spoke to Service. They said they wold check and call us back but they didn't. Some time early in April RICH'S received the box and a few days later a third repairman completed the repairs just in time for the arrival of warmer weather. read more

Update - got a call from these folks that they have made significant changes in both staff and processes. They apologized for how my transaction was handled. Rich's does carry solid, name-brand inserts so if they have truly tuned up the sales process, it might be worth your time to go have a talk with them. Everyone should be given a chance to fix their mistakes and it sounds like they may have done that. Upvoted for reaching out and apologizing plus making real changes. read more

Ok, My original 5 stars review that I had previously written, that went down to 1 star is now back to 5. Jon, the owner of Rich's contacted me and we discussed the situation that I had experienced at great length. He listened to me and asked appropriate questions in reference to my outdoor furniture. The manufacturer is not going to replace my umbrella but Rich's is. He made it clear that he wants his customers to be happy with their purchases as well as having a good overall experience. We also spoke in great length regarding any possible problems. I gave him my word that my umbrella will go down in September and will not even have the potential for another problem. I felt that discussion was very fair, and if I were the business owner, I would expect the same courtesy. Resolving issues should be made by both parties, and I actually feel that this company made a problem right. Will I shop here again? Yes. Will I encourage my friends to do the same? Absolutely! We received the tub with a missing feature ( spa connect" that we were told it will be included and the staff confirmed that the tub will have spa connect. The tub was delivered without that feature that we are very interested in. The salesperson promised to call us back on a Monday and now it is the second week we haven't heard back from him. We would not recommend this location to someone else due to misinformation we received and poor communication. More than once they promise to call back and we didn't get to hear back until we made more effort to follow-up. read more

They sold me a pellet stove insert at the Puyallup Fair after they confirmed for me that it was in stock because my time is limited for the install. Lie #1-- it wasn't in stock. They said someone would call to arrange pickup in a couple days. Lie#2-- After four days and them not returning calls, I contacted them to arrange pickup. Then they admitted that the unit was missing the surround which holds the controls and it was backordered for two weeks. Then they said they would take one from someone else's order. (Lie#3) Then after driving for 2 1/2 hours order is still incomplete (lie#4) Decided not to do business with this company and demanded a full refund. read more

For very basic follow through issues regarding my sale and delivery, I have had to wait for months to get things from them, On the third time, I decided to just wait and see how long it would actually take to have the items taken care of after the quoted date from my representative, I quit at 90 days and realized that again they just forgot about me again after the sale. have had to return to the store 3 times to remind people to do their jobs and to top it off, their spas are way too expensive. We ordered a fire table in June. We were told it would take 6 weeks which was fine. After 8 weeks and hearing nothing we phoned. No one knew what the status was and we were told they would call us back. Weeks later and hearing nothing. It took us calling and checking every few days before we were told it was there and ready to pick up, this is late October now. We organized a truck and help and when we arrived the store manager said that it wasn't there and she didn't know where it was. She would call us back. After a week of hearing nothing we kept calling. Nobody knew anything. I finally called the Lynwood store and after getting dropped twice while holding, I finally got ahold of someone. Several calls later, she found it and scheduled the delivery. When delivered the guys didn't have the tool to connect it. Again, no one called or followed through. Back to daily calls to Tukwila and Lynwood both. Nobody knew what was going on or what needed to be done. (Some of the calls they told me that the table was almost ready for pickup) Always promises of calling us back which they never once did. After another 2 weeks, we found the problem was that they didn't know which tool was needed and we had to send photos. The fire pit was finally installed the 2nd week in December. The fire table looks nice but I wasted way too much time talking to people who were completely disorganized and stressed. Absolutely unbelievably bad experience. read more

I was referred here by the manufacturer for my wood stove. I need a new door. This store referred me to their "parts department" (which I think they said was in Lynnwood). I called the number and had to leave a voicemail. My call was returned a day and a half later. I told the woman what I was looking for and she said the computer showed one in stock for $349 and quoted me $20 for shipping it. (I thought the actual price seemed high but the shipping was too low...but what the hell do I know?). Anyways, she said she would walk out to the warehouse to make sure it was there and then call me to finalize the transaction. She didn't. I waited two weeks and then decided to call someone else - Good Earth Works in Maple Valley. They were so quick and efficient...asked me for the serial number of my stove to get the right part, then called me right back with a quote. And it was $279, not $349, with five day delivery. read more

This store stinks. Even before walking in, there's a creepy vibe about the building. It looks old. And even with the doors held open, this place does not feel welcoming. I felt profiled by these employees. They are anything but friendly. I had come into the store with an inquiry about fireplaces multiple times but I have never been greeted with such blatant fakeness. Devin was supposed to have my order but forgot so we built it again and started from scratch. I was very clear about how I imagined my fireplace would look and he would not give me room to speak. I felt powerless. I felt like he was trying to take advantage of me being alone and being a woman. He also spat a lot when he was talking. Management, please train your employees with skills on not being overly aggressive. It shifts you into not buying. Covid regulations are not set into place here. It's obvious with how shabby the place looks. It looks so disorganized. It reminds me of someone's basement with their junk in it. I did not like my time here. Stopped by this afternoon to look at some BBQ/grilling accessories. Had never been in before. They have a lot of product; including grills, spa supply, and patio furniture. Really packed in, kinda hard to make your way around between all of the large items. Lots of really cool stuff; everything is VERY expensive though. We were the only people in the store. The guy behind the counter looked up at us twice while we were in the store, never said a word or smiled. The only person that spoke to us was a lady that asked us if we needed anything as we were leaving. Bad customer service. read more

Before I share my updated review, I need to clarify a comment in my original review. One of the comments mentioned " There is a gap around the pipe where it exits out our wall. My husband had to go out and put caulk around it to ensure bugs don't enter our home." My husband corrected me and said that this is typical as the piping is stainless steel. Using clear silicone is the best way to have that done. What happened was the broken piece of siding that he had to fix. Final Chapter of our saga. I am amending my review from 1 star to 4 stars because 1) the owner of Rich's reached out to us more than once to resolve the issue. He called us twice and explained what had happened but in the end we (he and my husband) were able to resolve the issue. 2) We love the product. I'm mostly happy that the Owner had a strong desire to provide excellent customer service and ended up with a very happy customer. If someone asked me about our wood stove, I will tell them that we got it at Rich's. If they ask...would you recommend them? I would say yes. Why? Bought a gas fireplace, they are expensive, The sales lady was great and I was told they have everything in stock, turns out they were missing a part and had to order it and it would take a week. A week went by and I called them and was told it would be 3 weeks, I asked to receive the parts they had and I had to drive to a warehouse to get them so I did only to find some of the parts were actually back at the store. After arriving home I see on the box they sold me a factory second.
