Absolutely terrible - waiting 2.5 months for order. Initially, store routed order to Mississauga instead of Windsor (1st error). I contacted them online and they re-routed so I got part of it 3 weeks past promised date. I went to pick up my order and was given 2 boxes - one was not mine (2nd error). Once I discovered the error, I went online to get the situation corrected. Weeks of being told "the store has been notified" and "I'll message the store that you are waiting to be contacted," I got an advance notification for delivery (didn't know it, but this was the 3rd error). Ok, they didn't tell me they corrected it, but at least they corrected it. When the delivery crew arrived, they didn't have my order and thought they were there to assemble something. (4th error) Weeks more of online help and being given the same message, and it has all amounted to a pointless wait (5th error). I was just told that I needed to contact the store. read more

Absolutely DO NOT recommend Ashley Homestore. I do, however, recommend that you stay as far away from this business as you possibly can. They lock you into a contract. You sign because you think you are getting new, good quality furniture. If you cancel for any reason at all, they will charge you 10 - 25% administration/restocking fee. Absolutely NO REFUNDS, unless you have it in you to fight for months or years on end. When you finally get delivery of the furniture, it's broken or used, and broken. Ashley Furniture will tell you that they will REPAIR this NEW (?) furniture. If you cancel the order because of this, you are still subject to cancelation fees. However, they will give you a store credit in lieu of a refund, and then you can start the game all over again. If you're lucky enough to get furniture that looks good initially, do not relax. Days, or weeks later, this furniture will be broken. The warranty you purchased is useless as they will deem everything as normal wear and tear. Ashley Furniture uses fraudulent business practices and they run a Bait and Switch Scam. Customer Service is absolutely horrific, and once you give them your money, they will fight to keep it. My Husband and I went into Ashley Homestore in Windsor on the week end, looking for two swivel recliners. We came out purchasing a Tempurpedic vibrating Queen bed. We had one of the most awesome sales persons, Mark McCafferty. Mark is also the Sleep expert, and I will tell you, Mark is awesome!!! His knowledge is second to none. If he does not know the answer to your question, he will go way above to find out that answer for you. He is truthful, informative and a super nice person. We were both so impressed. PLEASE SHARE - FRAUD ALERT - Ashley Furniture Homestore 1-650 Division Rd, Windsor, ON N8X 5E7 @them here On March 28, 2021, Ricky and I purchased a couch from Moe Habib at the Division Road Ashley Furniture Store. The purchase was for a sectional couch and ottoman for $2045.21 which included tax, delivery fee and an administrative fee. As of today, April 17, 2021, we have only received the sectional couch and Ashley Furniture is refusing to acknowledge the purchase of the ottoman as agreed upon in the sale. They are claiming we have lied about the purchase and upon searching complaints, we have discovered there are multiple groups, pages, and websites filled with thousands of complaints about the shady and illegal dealings of this furniture store. Prior to our purchase we had viewed a couch at Teppermans that was on back order and was not available until August. The couch was made by Ashley Furniture which is what prompted us to check out their location in the first place. When discussing the purchase with Moe Habib, he explained that he would be able to price match their couch to the one at Teppermans, but as the couch at Ashley's location was higher quality, the price match would not include the ottoman. We explained that we were adamant about the ottoman and if we could not purchase it with Ashley Furniture, we would wait until it became available at Teppermans instead. Moe Habib went and spoke to his supervisor and came back with the price of $1898.32 for the sectional, ottoman, and delivery fee. We set up the purchase, were approved for financing, and sat down with Moe Habib to look over the contract. The contract used did not have descriptions of the items but instead only had the item numbers. Moe Habib explained each item number and how one correlated to the sectional, one for the ottoman, and one for the delivery fee. He explained he had not included the administrative fee by his own mistake and we would not be charged for it. 15 minutes after signing the contract and leaving the store Moe Habib called us to advise his manager had noticed we had not been charged the administrative fee and a second contract needed to be signed including this. We returned and signed the second contract at an increased price of $2045.21 which included four item codes (one for the sectional, ottoman, delivery fee, and administrative fee). After a few weeks we received the text to set up a delivery date. We sold our old couch and on April 15, 2021, the delivery men arrived with the sectional. They unwrapped the couch, took the garbage outside, and then left without completing the delivery or cleaning up the garbage from the packaging left on our porch. We noticed the ottoman was not included in our delivery and called 1-800-737-3233 to explain a portion of our order was forgotten. This was the first time we were notified that "we did not purchase an ottoman." I explained that it had been a part of the initial purchase and she said it would need to be handled in store. I stated that due to the lockdown the store location was currently closed. The agent advised to wait until after it ended and refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor. After insisting i speak to a supervisor she stated she would email hers and they would provide a call back. After the phone call I went on the online chat to inquire further, where the agent (Cierra) accused me of lying and stated that "you did not PAY for an ottoman, so you would not be given one." At this point I stated I would like to return the couch as it was not what I had purchased and at this time had only had it for an hour and a half. I was informed that I would be charged a 25% restocking fee if I attempted to do so. I called the store and was told the Manager Jason would provide me with a return call. Our next conversation was with the first agent's supervisor providing the return call I had requested. Her name was Rose Marie and she was the late night supervisor of the Ashley Homestore phone line. She listened to my story, agreed that there was a mistake, and told me to speak with Jason (the supervisor of the Windsor location) and to call her back if nothing was done. I called Jason  on April 16, 2021, as he had not contact me, and after explaining the situation was told "this would never happen. My sales associate would not offer you a free ottoman." I explained that the ottoman was not free as it was part of the initial purchase and that Moe Habib had received the manager's approval for the sale. Jason explained that this conversation never happened as he was not in the store that day. We requested to speak to Moe Habib but was told by Jason that he was unavailable due to a lay off. After pressing the issue further Jason stated he would "try" to call Moe. I asked what would happen if Moe admitted the ottoman was included in the sale but Jason refused to answer that question stating "Moe would not say that and he did not need to provide an answer." Junk junk cheap overpriced junk! Went in there to look at sofas... priced me out a sofa but then added $550 for a warranty and $250 for delivery. He said the warranty is needed because the reclining mechanisms break. The floor model he showed me, one of the reclining chairs was broken and the stitching was unravelling. No wonder they want to charge so much for warranty! Almost$1000 in add-ons they want to charge! No thanks they said they make their own furniture, but they don't stand behind it at all. don't buy anything here! terrible customer service. we have a problem with our stearns and foster mattress and adjustable base. the technician they sent out stated the mattress would definitely be covered. the base claim had to be sent directly to the manufacturer which is what we did. we paid a lot of money for both and even purchased an extended warranty. well it's been over three weeks of going back and forth with guest care which is ashley's customer service. we are now told the mattress is not covered and we still are waiting to hear about the base which was supposed to be a 48 hour response time. it's a joke. their customer service is rude and do not call you back. don't buy from here. big mistake!! read more

I made a purchase and unfortunately, had to cancel. Please be aware that you can't cancel the order even before delivery without paying a cancellation fee. Even if you return the item "without good reason" after delivery there is an even higher return fee! You are given this information in the fine print when you are asked to sign in the store so ultimately with every purchase from Ashley you are at risk of loosing your money. I called customer care and the store, but they were not helpful. I am now responsible for a $250.00 fee for a table I cancelled 48 hours in advance. Ultimately, I have since found similar items half the price in almost every other furniture store in the city. Way over priced, and beware of additional fees! *Update: The store called to "connect" with me after my review. Went in to browse bedroom sets. Justin was helpful and courteous until it came time to share the pricing with us. When I asked to have the paper that he priced everything out on, he replied "What for??" He lost my respect and sale right there. I said I'd like it to keep so I can shop around and compare, he refused to hand over the paper and then became pushy, and tried to pressure us to buy. I politely declined, and requested to have the paper with price once more, he still refused to give the paper with the pricing. I found it a strange sale tactic, and pompous. DECEPTIVE SALES - I would strongly recommend not buying furniture from this store. They sold us an extended warranty saying we won't have to worry about anything for the 5 years. Here we are 3 years later (delayed because of COVID) and we are now told "It's normal wear and tear and not covered". Purchased a couch back in March. I was more than willing to make the complete payment but the rep at Ashley insisted that I go through their financing service. He confirmed there was no charge to setup the account, no interest for 6 months and literally coaxed me into getting it financed. Once everything was set. I immediately used the account umber provided and paid off the balance I was informed about. Since I paid it off I never really bothered about the account. Apparently there is a hidden application setup fees of $21. Now its been 8 months down since I purchased the couch and the interest has rolled down to about $62. I was made aware by Fairstone (the financer) and I had no other way but to go and pay for the damn thing to get the account closed. Aug 14 2021 placed order for three bedroom sets which were promised Sept 18 2021 for 29,515.30 paid in full, it is now Nov 10 2021 and all I have is one bedroom set and assorted odds and ends, a room full of cardboard and packaging material and nothing but excuses, I changed two bedroom sets as I did not like the loose items that were delivered, fine, but I have not seen anything complete anyways wrong or right, emailing no answers, calling no luck, speaking with manager promised to call on Monday never heard from again. The only thing they seem good at is collecting the commission, after that good luck, a more irresponsible organization is hard to find, at Ashley's you are sailing with a ship of fools, all talk and no show, even the mattress they ordered was wrong so the only complete bedroom set cannot be used as the right one has not arrived. Not one thing they promised came true just a bunch of lame excuses, no furniture, they are paid in full and could care less. True Story, think twice before paying you will be waiting forever for these clowns while sleeping on the floor for 30,000.00 cash.. read more

Ashley's has been nothing but a nightmare to us. After spending thousands of dollars on furniture, and after they completely destroyed my storm door by tearing the cylinder out of the bottom , They even took pictures of it when they did destroy it, and asked me for two estimates which I sent up to them., Then they decide not to pay for the door and only give me $200, When the estimates were in excess of $700 I sent the two lowest estimate to them.They deliberately lied at first about the damage to the door, and it has taken months and many phone calls to get them to cooperate and trying to fix this problem. The door was only six years old!. I only wish I could post pictures to show you the damage to the door They also destroyed the couch and chair and after numerous phone calls they will be coming to fix the parts they destroyed. Dufresne is the one who delivered and Ashley's is the store I purchased from both of them are complete unprofessional's, As they destroyed things they kind of chuckled and said no big problem will take pictures and they'll replace it. They were very destructive when delivering. Trying to get a hold of them is almost impossible you have to go through some guest care and if you get an answer back from them you're lucky. Needless to say they will never see me in that store again and you can be sure I will be letting everyone know how I feel about Ashley furniture, Including the Better Business Bureau. This is MY experience with Ashley Furniture Homestore; and I am advising potential customers to BEWARE of price inflation. To begin, Ashley sales consultants are paid on commission only, so this may explain for the lack of transparency in regards to pricing, as Ashley advertises prices in store at a hugely inflated rate. To hook potential customers, Ashley consultants discreetly let customers know that they can get you a much better offer (mine was $800 off the tag price), plus a discount on delivery, and a discount on the protection plan. This all sounded great, until I got home and looked online and saw that the price on ASHLEY's OWN CANADIAN WEBSITE was cheaper than the price the sales associate was able to finagle for me (so - the website price was more than $800 cheaper than in store, and it was not during an online only sale, and the sales associate went out of her way to make it seem as if she was getting me a great deal). Fortunately, the store price matched + 25% of the difference. However, this got me thinking - what are other customers paying for the furniture, delivery, and the protection plan; more or less than me? The cost of furniture, delivery, and protection plan should not vary on a person-to-person basis, and Ashley's attempt at tricking customers with "discounts" is shameful. Buying furniture should not be comparable to buying a used car from a sleazy lot, and I'm very disappointed with the ploys used at Ashley. I love the sectional I picked out, but in the future I will be hesitant to shop at Ashley again. read more

Made a huge mistake, I bought over $5000 for furniture, and like others I read would not tell me how much for each item, kept that secret. Then after my purchase it took a month to get it. Well after just one week the chair broke and they said it would be a month before someone could look at it. Haven't even made my first payment yet! DONT NOT BUY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!! I would give a zero star if I could! Almost every piece of furniture that we purchase arrived damaged!! Can you believe that? Two different bed headboards were already peeling paint, the bench that came with one of the bedrooms sets foot is damaged, the third bed frame has a massive puncture on the side panel, and of course, there's a giant chunk of marble missing from on of the nightstands. HOW CAN EVERYTHING BE DAMAGED?!?! We called in and expected an exchange, but they said have to send out a technician to come to look at it when I send them a whole bunch of clear photos. I asked for an exchange, they said that they can't do that. Does that make any sense, they have new items, but they won't replace them for you, you have to wait for your brand-new items to be fixed? So I asked for a return because we didn't buy second-hand items, we were told there will be a 25% restock fee??? So I asked to speak with a manager, the girl on the phone told me there is no manager to speak with and I have to follow company policies? Nobody can do anything. So all we can do right now is to wait for a technician to come and repair our "brand-new" furniture. Does that make any sense to you? Extremely dissappointing experience with this company. Not only all the furniture we got was damaged in one way or another. Sales person on floor point blank lied multiple times telling us that the dresser and nightstands we were getting was NOT floor model despite us asking over and over that it will not be floor model. The delivery person was so inconsiderate came with shoes on despite telling him once not to. Technician came in after we brought up all the issues with the furniture to "touch up" the new furniture we bought. And they decided to replace our dining table and scheduled it to deliver 2 days later on Friday because they didnt have Saturday available. After few hours we decided it would be better to have it delivered sometimes week after. So we called in and call center agent are extremely rude and wanted to charge us a rebooking fee of 90 dollars even though the store scheduled it the same day I called back. I have bought furniture from many furniture stores and I can only say this is the absolute worst store and service that I have ever experienced. Starting from the delivery service tearing my furniture as they shoved it through my door, then breaking my door off and refusing to pay for it. Then they say they will come and fix the furniture that they tore I waited three months, they finally call in a robotic voice telling me when they will be here. I take the entire day off waiting for them and at the last minute they, They call and tell me that they just noticed the material that they were bringing was damaged and they'll have to come another time. When I ask them when they said they have no idea. I lost a days wages and still have torn furniture and a torn door that I cannot keep I have to buy a new one. I am telling you if, If you are going to Ashley's to buy furniture, check reviews on every website that has Ashley's on it and you will find more one stars than anything else.
