The prices were what we were looking for and we received quality products as well. Our recent purchase for our basement couch was the best experience we've had due to the sales associate, Marisa. She was SO helpful with products and sizing for what we were looking for. She clearly loved what she does and knows her stuff. Our purchase was due to her wonderful help and guidance. We went home to double check the measurements and returned back to make the purchase when she was there. She also offered to finalize the purchase over the phone if it was easier for us. VERY CHEAP FURNITURE! A review of my furniture after less than 2 years of owning it. We bought a full sectional and a matching ottoman for about $2,000. We thought we got a great deal but....buyer be ware! This store is full of very very cheaply manufactured furniture. One part of my sectional makes a loud squeaky noise every time I get up or sit down. My ottoman has one side of the padding completely slumped - it looks absolutely horrible. We had Ashely come to take a look...they determined the sofa wasn't assembled correctly and "fixed" it. It still makes a squeaky noise and Ashely refuses to come fix this. They are clueless on what happened to the ottoman - CLUELESS!!! We have a 5 year protection plan but Ashley will give you the FULL run around if you call them. A million questions ALL DESIGNED TO GET THEM OUT OF HONORING THEIR WARRANTY! I'm truly disappointed and feel like I got completely shafted by this store. LOW Quality products they DON'T STAND BEHIND! Furniture is 1 year old. It's falling apart and leaving dangerous furniture nails on the dining room floor. We purchased the 5 year protection plan. They don't care that this is dangerous because we have a young son... they admitted to me on the phone that it's unsafe and told me to highlight the safety risk when I talk to "Platinum " the warranty provider. Despite platinum website, saying that you can file a claim over the phone, they refuse to take claims over the phone. Worse yet it takes two business days to review a claim. So the soonest that I will be able to talk to a real human being about the giant furniture nails That are falling on my floor is four days from now. It's currently Friday and they told me they will most likely call me on Tuesday. This is at least the 3rd nail that has fallen out, if not the 4th... we only just figured out where it's coming from... 2 came out in the last 2 days!! Never again Ashley!!! Never again Platinum!!! Not only did they assemble my couch leaving a nail sticking out of it causing a small scrape on my mom's arm, but when I recently called because I need help disassembling my couch to move into a new home, they refer me to 3rd party resources? He also assisted us with scheduling our delivery and explained the entire process from start to finish. Rich went above and beyond to assist us when we were unsure which size stand we needed and calmed our nerves about making such a large purchase. Joseph was a nice sales guy and the reason why I came back to patronize this store above the others. We had shopped other places but chose this store. The management team is inept and unprofessional. I was offered a 10% discount off of three pieces of furniture by the sales person and had agreed to buy them for that price. I continued to purchase other items. One on clearance, and a mattress. I was also going to be returning to purchase a dining room table with 4 extra chairs. I was also offered additional discounts there. A manager came over when we were finalizing the transaction saying to the salesperson, "I'm your T.O". His name was Paul. He is in dire need of training. I would not recommend using inside business terms with a customer present. It's tacky and doesn't present well. This checking out ordeal must have went on for no less than 30 minutes while my family sat in furniture waiting for it to be completed. There was a flyer that I have that states 10% off on regular priced merchandise which is where I thought the salesperson was offering his discount from. The management team said they couldn't give the 10% off and that they would have to raise the price to a higher price to give that discount. What? Yes, this is what was said. Your pamphlet does not meet advertising guidelines set by the New York states attorney general. The disclaimer font is smaller that the legal size required. I was told the explanation was in there. I could not read it. I will not be returning to the store and plan on writing reviews on yelp and google. I will also be contacting the AG office and be filing a complaint with the BBB. This is certainly not over a discount of $150.00. It's the principle of offering one, having a flyer that's states there is one, and not honoring it. Ads are required to be clear to consumers. When they are not, it's considered deception and are illegal. Sad that your management team is unwilling or unable to handle a small customer service issue and allow it to turn to this. I will be formalizing my complaint in greater detail. I would like someone to contact me. I will not speak to a manager from the store. They are the cause of this. Came into the store looking for a new sofa and I was greeted by a lovely young lady who was only to happy to help me she showed me a few sofas and I showed her a picture of one that I saw from a competitor's ad and she brought me over to another sofa and asked me what I thought, I really liked it so then a manager came over and we started talking and I expressed how I liked the sofa and decided to make the purchase . The only thing that I regret is not buying the ottoman maybe I'll take a ride and go back and order one. The purchasing experience was pleasant- they misinformed me about the quantity of pillows I would be receiving. The delivery experience was unacceptable. The drivers were rude. My husband explained the layout of the new sofa- the delivery man snapped at him and told him "let me do my job"! Unacceptable behavior. They did call to update me on arrival which I appreciated. I specifically asked when buying the furniture if the delivery men were going to be nice and respectful. They also tried to dispose of the boxes in my neighbors trash bin. I bought two sets of furniture in November. One set came with one sofa first and the other two seater weeks later. When the sofa was delivered the DAMAGE that it had was unseen to the naked eye unless you picked up the couch. Upon moving the sofa , the entire MIDDLE seat was totally broken in half. Ashley gave me a BROKEN piece of furniture then I was told they can only offer to fix it rather than. Replace it. Three techs so far, the first one saying the kind of break in the sofa definitely happened in transit or the factory. He left . Second one came and basically did surgery replacing the entire frame with wood. I want to reiterate I paid for a NEW SOFA not a broken one that needs to be fixed. He repaired the frame and ordered foam and fabric for the uneven seat and snag in the material. Weeks later another tech to replace those parts . I was scheduled for a Saturday, which I called out from work to be home for same . A tech showed up to fix the rest, only to come inside my house unnecessarily and tell me ITS TOO LATE AT NIGHT TO FIX and they will come back another day . That is two weeks ago. It is beyond absurd how this company would give me a BROKEN piece of furniture , insist on basically doing surgery on it to be repaired and then never following up when the tech left my house two weeks ago without fixing it with a new date. I'm livid and will be doing whatever I can to contact corporate and who ever else I need to for this disgraceful service. What a nightmare to pay good money for something and receive it broken and them not do their due diligence and replace their broken sofa or even finish repairing MONTHS later. I walked in and not a single person came to help. I needed a recliner for my brother, who is very very sick. My intention was to come in and buy same day. Someone finally came to ask us if we need help but there was a white woman next to us and he helped her instead. Needing the chair, I asked him the price. He gave it and continued to help the woman. No problem. It was taking a while so I sought out someone else asked if the chair came in any other color. He did respond but before I could blink my eyes, he left us to go help a white couple. Baffled and insulted I left the store. I can't believe they treated me like that. It was terrible. I had a truly awful experience receiving products and following up with wrong assembly and undelivered items. In-store, the staff member Amanda who assisted us with finding the furniture was very nice. Store manager Sam was much less so, she kept brushing us off to go to other customers, didn't really answer our questions, and deceptively priced things instead of giving us discounts they were advertising. We received two beds using their "white glove" service, and the assembly was completely messed up because they mixed up the parts for each bed. When we called to have this corrected, the representative was so rude and tried to make it seem like it was our fault that the delivery workers put the mattress over their mistakes to hide them. We had items that we also needed to pick up from the store that no one gave us tracking information for, and the corporate system refused to give us a direct number to the store, giving us a number to the regional automated system instead (perhaps they are so shoddy and disorganized, they don't even know the number to their stores). They really charged so much for customer service and satisfaction guarantees, and then made it near impossible to access these services. I'm so disgusted. I will not only never use Ashley for furniture purchases ever again, I will tell every relative, friend and coworker not to go to this horrible store. read more

Don't buy furniture here! They do not back up what they sell! They try hard to sell you a protection plan. I bought the plan which is handled by a separate company, 5 star protection. I bought in a claim to replace sofa cushions that wore out at the he seems. I had to complete an arduous phone oceans to file the claim; which included the date I noticed the damage. I didn't know the exact date so I entered a date a few months earlier. They denied the claim saying I didn't report the damage within 30 days. Sorry Ashley. Awful experience!!!! Awful customer service!!!! I paid in full for a sectional. I was assured it would be delivered as soon as I wanted it. I let them know 3 weeks ahead of time when to deliver. Half of the sectional was delivered! When I questioned where is the missing pieces I got a million different excuses. Then after a week of trying to find out what's going on I now get told that there discontinued it!!!! Then they offer me the floor model that was in there store for months! With 1.8 out of 5 stars I should have known. I went to the show room and worked with Mike L to purchase two 92" sofas. I let him know the front door is tight and the back sliding door may have to be taken off the hinges to help with delivery. He assured me not to worry about it that they would figure it out. Couches come at 730am today and of course didn't fit. The delivery man told me he could not assist in getting the doors off it's hinges (not allowed in case something breaks they would be help liable), couldn't re deliver later, and couldn't wait while I attempted to do this myself. Man delivery drivers suck these days! They dropped the couches in the backyard still fully wrapped and disassembled while my boyfriend who has a severe lower back injury, 72 year old uncle, and I worked for THREE HOURS figuring out how to take off the sliding door, drag the couches up the stairs and inside, assemble the feet, and get rid of 6 bags of garbage. Of course I don't get any refund on the "white glove delivery" that I was forced to get (no pick ups allowed) that should have included getting the couches in, assembling them, and removing the garbage. Instead I got two couches dropped off, and two men with completely destroyed backs after this ordeal. Absolutely no sympathy from management, no partial or full delivery refund, and no fair resolution. This is NOT the delivery and help I was expecting from a big name brand. You should be embarrassed that you not only leave your customers out to dry but that you do not do the right thing to help out when they are in need. You can be sure I won't be purchasing couches from here again an "outlet" whose final price really didn't make it feel like I got a deal. I wish I would have read the reviews before shopping at Ashley furniture in Farmingdale. Initially, the customer service rep, Maddy, was nice and friendly. We made a purchase and she gave us her direct contact information if we had any problems or questions. She told us that when the furniture was delivered, the delivery people would bring our old furniture to the curb. The day the furniture was delivered, we had an issue that they said it was not their job. We ended up giving MORE money to assist in getting the furniture out... that was problem number one. So not only did we pay for delivery, we basically had to grease their palm in order to get the old furniture out. After they left, I sat on the couch only to find out that the headrest to one of the three reclining units we purchased was not working. I contacted the initial sales rep who then said that she was not able to do anything and had to pass me to customer service. So she basically washed her hands of it. I called customer service and they set up an appointment. When the technician came, the first thing he did when he walked in my house was ask to use my bathroom. He then did whatever he had to do with the furniture and said that the headrest was not plugged in so he fixed that. That evening, my daughter went to go sit on the chair and we realized that the two chairs are not connected properly. So here I was on the phone with customer service again trying to get another service tech. The representative I was on the phone with literally asked me at least five times "if I am looking at the couch, which side is it on?". I told him it's the right side and the chair right next to it. He even confirmed by asking me is it the one with the left arm rest. To which I responded yes. Moments later he's asking me the same question again regarding if I'm looking at the couch which chair is it. Needless to say, the conversation ended in a heated discussion. To which point he then put me on hold and never came back. Ashley furniture has the worst customer service ever! I ended up resolving my problem via text with someone named Pamela who opened a new ticket for me immediately without asking me over and over which chair it is ...because she was probably able to figure it out by looking at the previous service ticket. Thank you, Pamela. So, now we are waiting for a tech yet again. Such a shame because I have a full house to furnish ... but it won't be with Ashley. read more

Initially, I was really happy with my experience because it was quick and easy. I stand by the experience we had being easy and quick, how ever over the past several months, Ashley furniture has left a really bad taste in my mouth. After about a month of use, one of the bars on my bench snapped. I reached out to the sales rep Big Chris who promised he'd take care of us, he forwarded me to the Customer Service. We were bounced around for about a day and then finally got to someone. They agreed to send a replacement (Makes a lot of sense because we bought the care plan). This was February. We are now in August and still no bar to replace. So... If you want a quick and easy experience where you get beautiful furniture only to be able to not ever be able to sit on your furniture if it breaks, go ahead and shop here. Delivery men put a hole in my ceiling, scratched my brand new wood floors, chipped my wall and broke my light switch. ....ALL of which is on video and was sent to the claims department and customer service. The delivery men said they would pay cash to for the damage and told us that we could not report it to Ashley. They would not take all the damaged furniture and we did not pressure them to as we were made to feel VERY uncomfortable in our own home with unprofessional behavior. After contacting Ashley, they are refusing to pick up the remaining pieces and credit us and no one has contacted us regarding the thousands for dollars in home damage. The reps were defensive and in not so many words called us liars. The videos and the pics prove otherwise. My advice is to stay far away!! I had waited for a replacement for a month just to find out no one had made a replacement appointment when they said they would. Mirrors came for the wrong dresser- had to send back. Went in looking for a new mattress and we had Tay as our sales person. She was a decent sales person but had more focus on the mattress fitting computer and getting a picture for a charity if we bought a mattress. We were a pretty easy sale. Wanted a good nights sleep and bought their best mattress, cooling cover and two bed gear pillows. We told Tay about our current box spring and she said it was fine. Turns out we needed more of a flat surface box spring platform or we could void the warranty. We called the store and nobody called back at noon. We called and got Tay finally. All we asked for was to buy the flat box spring and not have to pay shipping. We would have purchased it together had the sales person been more knowledgeable. All we got was attitude from multiple employees and no acknowledgement of the pictures we sent Daryl via e mail. The employees were very rude and would not give an inch. Kept quoting corporate policy and just giving us a very bad attitude. So after spending 2500 on a couch and 5000 on the mattress plus extras, Ashley lost a customer for life. Just a disgusting customer service experience by unqualified sales people with a millennial attitude when you ask a simple question. When we were delayed again after they called us to confirm delivery then called back and said no forget it, I asked the question of why, was it given to someone else . Devon the salesman became condescending and stated do you understand about COVID ! I stated yes I just want to know was it given to someone else because we were promised it wouldn't. The salesman was great, but the quality of the sofa sectionals is NOT We purchased a sofa in where the back pillows are attached to the back of the sofa. Within 6 months it ripped. also, since we had a dog, we were told to buy an insurance policy that would take care of damage. When the damage was noted, and we contacted the insurance company, (you have to download an app) they denied us coverage. It was not the dogs; it was the quality of the furniture. Upon arriving at the store we knew what we wanted, a nice tan color living room set. Nothing big or fancy and no leather. We came across a micro suede couch which fit the style of our home and the price was reasonable. The salesman was nice, not pushy and was able to give us a decent price and the insurance policy if the couch were to rip or be stained etc. This is sort of where the good experience ended. We had arranged to have our apartment painted and remodeled a bit and got rid of our old furnitre. We made sure to schedule Ashley for a few days after so that we would have ample time to do what we had to in the apartment, but not too much where we had nowhere to sit or relax. The day of the delivery i stayed to receive it, and they cancelled on me. Something about a truck breaking down in Jersey. I called up the store to complain who said they were going give me a credit towards my next purchase but I never received anything via email or physically to my address. We had to wait a whole week more now. We kind of just excepted it and sat on the bed and ate our meals there etc while we waited for the couch to come. We like the couch a lot after the couple of years we have had it now, and the quality is great. It's just too bad they kind of didn't care and couldn't stick to their end of the bargain in terms of delivery. I wouldn't recommend not shopping there. But I would say to keep in mind that the delivery can be a put off. I've read other reviews online of people who have had the same issues. read more

My husband and I were looking for a single 7ft couch for our Florida room. We didn't want to spend more than $800 including tax and delivery. We found 4 different options at the Farmingdale outlet location that worked well with our space. Our sales rep Nickesha was pleasant, informative and help us make a decision for our space. We were please to add a 5 year Fabric protection plan for only $129. Total for this lovely smoke gray couch was $805. Expecting delivery in 2 weeks. We can't wait. Do not. I repeat do not use these guys under any circumstances. Ever. The sales people aren't the problem. They were wonderful. There customer care department is the issue. I spent over 18 K to furnish a new house and after over 6 weeks I am still waiting for them to put together two beds. The parts are all here. But the hardware isn't. They keep on delivering incomplete products. Ordered furniture well over a month in advance. 3 days before the delivery they canceled it because it was on back order. Rescheduled for 2 weeks after that. Called again 3 days before and the furniture was still on back order. I went into the store and they offered me the floor model where they are charging me $120.00 for a 3rd party delivery charge and refunded me $120.00 plus about $200.00 off my bill. If it weren't for my kids needing the furniture 3 weeks ago I would have walked out and went to the 40 other stores up and down 110. This place is an absolute Joke, ran by a bunch of morons who sell you shit wrapped in tin foil. Like a used car dealership they promise the world to move the product and don't deliver...literally! Ripped up my card and never going back and would discourage anyone else from shopping there. Save your time and aggravation! Stay away!!!! I purchased furniture from this store and it barley lasted 3 years. I have been fighting with their "protection" plan for over 12 months to cover cracking and peeling durablend "fake leather". This is known issue but when you call the "customer service " for the store in Farmingdale you end up talking to people in NJ. They are rude and basically tell you sorry but we don't care that we sold you a product with a known defect. NEVER do business with this or any other store in the area as they are all owned by a company that does not care if they sell you products that they know will fail. read more
