As far as finding what I wanted, that was easy. I was able to find the kind of bed my mother wanting for two years, and found one for myself as well. I bought two mattresses that were very nice and, thankfully, on clearance. The mattresses alone were worth the purchase. For less than half price each, I got two fantastic Sealy mattresses. Not a single regret about the furniture I bought. The saleswoman was very eager to make the sale - which, honestly, I figured, because I'm sure they work on commission. And as we talked, I made it clear that the furniture was for a household of two disabled people. She assured me that the delivery guys would take care of things. Fast-forward to delivery day. The furniture arrives at the beginning of the delivery window they had told me - very nice and prompt. The guys come in to confirm where we want things, but when they see that the bed is still standing, they tell me that no, their job is delivery, not disassembly. They aren't going to be able to move the old furniture to make room for the new. I need to make it clear that I don't blame them. They're probably under some insurance caveats about accidental destruction of property and so forth. I do, however, blame the saleswoman. She assured me that this would be taken care of. Obviously, it wasn't, and if I wanted my *wheelchair-bound* mother to get to her bedroom, the bathroom, or her medications, I had to go against doctor's orders about strain and lifting to disassemble the old bed. Otherwise, I'd still have pieces of a bed and two mattresses in the middle of my living room, meaning none of my house would be accessible. I was running on adrenaline when I moved what I could. Mom's bed and both mattresses were installed, and it's a good thing I have this nice, new mattress, because my doctor now has me on two weeks of bed rest, extra medications, and another round of physical therapy to try to keep this from making my disability worse. I called their customer service center and was approved for a 5% refund of my purchase, or a store gift card for an amount I didn't even wait to hear. I don't have a reason to go to this store again. It's up to you if you think you can risk something like this for that sort of refund. The furniture itself is fine. Some of the staff, however, are willing to lie to make their sales. If you're able-bodied, this shouldn't really be a problem for you. If you're not, well... Good luck. read more

I have been sitting on this review for a little over two (2) weeks now hoping that the company would make right of the situation that they have caused. The staff at this particular location was very nice and helpful when we ordered a bedroom set, kitchen table and chairs, and coffee table way back in July. Even after the sales associated wrote our order wrong it was fixed and they barely charged extra for the difference. The problems came after that, we were told it would take longer than usual for delivery due to covid. After 6 weeks we had not heard a word about our delivery, I sat on hold for 45 minutes with their customer service team to tell me they were waiting on the kitchen table and chairs. The next day the sales associate called to inform me that they only thing they were waiting on was the mattress and that they could do a partial delivery (Now I'm confused) I told her the customer service told me a different status, she was supposed to call me back with the answer (Its been 3 weeks now) I agreed to partial delivery, and it was set up for the following Wednesday, On Monday I received a email and text confirming the delivery of ALL items. On Tuesday I received a phone call explaining that my mattress was on back order and it would be another 4 weeks before it could be in now. So I went to the store and spoke to the sales manager who said it was odd that the mattress was holding up an order, then proceeded to explain that the warehouse would take from someone's order that wasn't complete to complete another persons order faster regardless of the order date. (WHY WOULD YOU TELL A CUSTOMER THAT?) He then stated that he would try to steal someone else's mattress for me.... Then comes Delivery Day! The delivery people showed up early! A+ for effort, they then explained that the lamps for my LED headboard were missing and would come at a later date. (I'm confused) I noticed after they sat the coffee table down it had a scratch on the edge of it, the took pictures and said someone would call me within the hour from the warehouse (Its been 2 weeks no one called) After they left I moved the bed frame since they didn't center it on the wall and did not push it all the way against the wall either.. SUPRISE! the LED for the headboard is there, they just didn't plug it in...OH they didn't put the hard ware on the end tables! OH THERE ARE SCRATCHES ALL OVER THE HEADBOARD AND FOOTBOARD! So I called the store, the referred me to the customer service line, I had to sit on hold for another 40 minutes... At this point I'm steamed I did not just pay $4500 for scratched furniture.. All they can do is schedule a technician to come up on look at it... It took 2 days for the tech service to call and schedule a time (Which is 2 weeks away) to come out and look at this mess.. We cancelled the mattress since it was going to be another month, went to Sleep Outfitters found a comparable mattress and it was there in less than 72 hours. and $100 cheaper All they did was paint the scratches and you can still see where the damage was done.. He did order 2 new drawers since they couldn't be fixed. (Who knows when they will comes in) I'm not happy, I did not spend this much money for damaged furniture. It's a shame that I now have a line of credit that won't ever be used. I won't order from Ashley again. read more

The furniture was okay but the delivery guy was unhinged. He stormed into the house and started bossing my 84 yr old mother around. I asked him what his problem was and unprompted he angrily says "I am not paying for any damages". I informed him no one had said anything about any damages and he said "I am an independent contractor I don't answer to anyone". I had to put him out of the house and load the sofa and love seat in myself just to ensure things didn't escalate. If you want to pick up furniture yourself I guess Ashley is an option. If you want furniture delivered GO ANYWHERE ELSE THE PEOPLE THEY HIRE TO DELIVER ARE RUDE ANGRY THUGS. I don't like to leave reviews like this but I wish my mother had known what she was getting into before she ordered her furniture. I am just glad I was there to help her move things. I can't imagine what her experience would have been like if she was by herself with that unhinged guy. read more

I ordered a sectional couch on November 27th, it was scheduled for delivery on December 26th, and I still don't have a complete set of furniture that I paid very good money for. Since purchasing the couch, I ran into so many issues. I tried to purchase the protection plan they offered and was told I could do this as long as it was before the couch was delivered. I went to the store on December 23rd and tried purchasing it but was told there was 72 hr time frame prior to delivery that it had to be added before then (not what I was told). The girl pretty much told me tough luck and there was nothing they could do. The couch got delivered on the 26th of December with half of it being broken. They left the correct piece and removed the broken one and set up a day for a new piece to be delivered. They also managed to put a nice large scratch in the floors of our brand new home. Fast forward to January 4th when the other half was suppose to be delivered... the couch came and I was told it was fine, but they sent a completely incorrect set of legs for it. So they left the couch sitting on the ground and told me they would ship the legs to me (3-5 days) and we could attach them when they arrived. Well, frustrated with everything that had happened we went to the store yesterday to talk to a manager and complain about the terrible time we have had. He pretty much told me that it wasn't their fault and there wasn't anything he could do. He called to check on the legs and found out that the order had never been submitted (had we not gone into the store we probably would have never gotten legs). He apologized and offered to refund me my $75 delivery charge.... that was all. Well the legs arrived today and I flip the couch over to discover the frame is broken. At this point, I'm furious. I call the store manager, he again, says he can't do anything. So I call customer service twice and had an awful experience both times. They offered to send someone out to fix instead of sending me the brand new piece of furniture I paid for. When I asked to speak to whoever was head of the customer service department they forwarded me back to the main menu. After speaking to another service rep, she laughed at me when I told her and said that they don't allow customers to speak to managers and I probably just sounded "too forceful" and that's why the other person sent me back to main menu. This whole thing has honestly been a joke. With this being said, I highly recommend that you *DO NOT* shop at Ashley HomeStore. read more

Arrived at 7 on Thanksgiving and got in line. Store opened on time and we went to look at a dining room set we saw online. Got distracted by some cute quilts in the kids department and by 7:10 were in line to purchase. There were at least 8 associates on the floor, plus one lady who was sitting at a desk ignoring everything and everyone around her. Yet only 2 registers were open. The people in front of us were filling out a lot of paperwork so the line didn't move fast. At all. When we made it to a register, the items were not coded correctly for purchase. The cashier was polite but didn't know how to charge for the items. Someone else came to help. Whatever she did didn't work so she had to come back. Then we asked for a bag for the quilts and were handed 2 plastic bags roughly the size of a grocery bag. Then the register wouldn't process payment correctly. Then we had to fill out paperwork. For 2 quilts and a lamp that we carried out of the store. In all, we spent almost 30 minutes at the register while the folks behind us grew more impatient. One bright spot was an associate whose name I don't remember. He offered help finding the table we liked at a different Ashley store. I'd go back but probably not when they are having a big sale. read more

I would give zero stars if it was a possibility, but I'll settle for one. I was scheduled to have a TV stand delivered yesterday, that I'd been waiting for since Aug 16 might I add, but it never showed up. I received several texts during the day, saying the item was on the way, and even received one text that it was ten minutes from my house. Then...nothing. To make matters worse, my order has disappeared from the system, and no one in the entire Ashley organization seems to be interested in helping me track it down, despite numerous phone calls and emails to that end. We bought a dining room table and chairs from Ashley's in Richmond, Ky. The staff were friendly and helpful. But, when something goes wrong with the furniture/purchase, Ashley's could care less to help you. Bought the table/chairs only to notice a large crack in one of the chair seats later. Ashley had a new chair seat delivered to the house and said they would send a tech out on Oct.4. That is a long time to wait on a chair repair. The furniture is heavy and sturdy as well as expensive. Would not have expected this purchase to go bad this soon. (We are elderly and NOT rough on our furniture). On Oct.3, Ashley's called and canceled. Ashley's moved the repair date/visit to some time in December. Come Thanksgiving and December holidays, we will be without adequate seating. Buyer Beware!!! Am done with Ashley's. Can not recommend this company. No idea when Ashley's will finally show up if they ever do !!! Have contacted Attorney General's office. read more

When i went into the Richmond store just before closing i was really just there to browse. I found what i had been looking for and for much cheaper than comparable elsewhere. The staff that night were helpful while giving me my space to look. Even though i unfortunately ended up being in the store after closing making final decisions, i was still given courteous service. The reason for 4 stars was i was told if i purchased 3 pc tables for the living room suit i would receive an extra discount. After spending time to find what i wanted there was in fact no discount given and i was charged over $70 in fees for shipping of items they had in the store and offered to take what they had there. The delivery date of appx 2 weeks seems a bit long to me as well. read more

Nice looking but disappointed so far. Banetonville dark gray leather recliner couches. I purchased two of the Banetonville recliner couches. These couches were described to be their nicer pieces. These couches were delivered on December 10, 2016. Seven days later one of the recline sections break, screws fall right that secure a padded foot section. I call customer care the next business day requesting an exchange, since I just got it. Of course I was concerned that the couches or couch itself was poorly built. At first I'm told they could not exchange and a manager would say the same. I still requested a manager anyway. The initial rep put me on a brief hold, then telling me the manager approved an exchange. With the short time I had the couches, consideration of an exchange should of been considered not argued. Time will tell wether the faulty couch is a fluke or just poorly constructed couches in general. Fingers crossed. 12-27-16 exchange completed, so far so good. The exchange went smooth with a follow up from the company. read more

I love the furniture and it's so nice to have a bigger brand name in a small town and it's awesome not having to drive to Lexington to go to my favorite furniture store. However, the last time I went in I felt very pushed to buy something right then and there. A saleswoman followed me around the whole store even after I told her multiple times I wouldn't be buying anything. My husband and I were looking for furniture we could be buying for our house later on down the road. Clearly just looking because of our time frame. She proceeded to follow me around and push financing on me even after I told her again it would be a while and I had no where to put it. Quite aggravating. My first, and only, experience with ashley Homestore has been an absolute disaster. Poor customer service on the both the local and corporate level. Delivery service is a fiasco and communication is extremely poor. Hold times for customer service have been incredibly long and despite many hours of hold time and attempted resolution of this matter, the issue has still not been resolved. After many failed attempts to schedule delivery at a time when I can be available I was finally able to confirm a date and time that I could make work. I completely rearranged my schedule to accommodate this date and time as it was the only possible delivery date I could make work within the next 30 days. After confirming this date and time I received an email/text the following day changing my delivery time to a frame in which I cannot be available. This was done without my consent beforehand. Customer service states they cannot do anything to correct the issue or help accommodate delivery. The local store cannot do anything and there is no way to contact the delivery service directly. Multiple tickets have been made to address this issue and all have been left unanswered and unresolved. Ashley makes zero attempts to assist their customers and really go above and beyond at making their customers feel unappreciated and unwanted. Thousands of dollars, weeks waited, and in the end I will likely have to cancel this order for a complete refund. I will never return to Ashley Homestore at any location based upon this experience. Should this issue be resolved I will edit my recommendation, but as of now, 0/10 do not recommend. read more

We purchased 2 recliners from the Ashley Home Furniture in Richmond, KY. The sales lady was very nice. They were delivered on Dec. 23, 2016. On Christmas Day I sat in one of them and when I reclined I heard a sound of wood cracking. I've reported this to the company. I was asked to send pictures of the chair showing the damaged parts. There were wood shavings on the floor under the part where the chair had cracked. The chair reclined at an angle and the arm isn't attached to the chair. The other recliner is fine. This is clearly defective workmanship which the warranty covers. I've been waiting in a response for about 4 hours. I'm not very happy. Response time too long. Horrible experience. We waited MONTHS for our furniture to be delivered. First they delivered a mattress that was a knock off version of the one we picked out, but I caught on to their scam. Then they tried to deliver a smaller size knock off. Months later they ended up delivering a completely different mattress than the one we picked out and I just gave up. Be very careful what you order. Changed my mind in less than three hours, because I found the same recliner more than $200 less than this rip off, unethical store.
