Here in Lakewood Township, you will find this bakery in the Goldmont Center…read more Brand: 5/5 Hershy's Bakery is located in the Goldmont Center in Lakewood Township as a corner store. I do like the logo, for it uses as much of its simplicity as possible while maintaining a fancy posture. The sign has a noticeable presence in this shopping center as you walk around. Concerning the interior, I will say that the food itself adds to the brand. Website: 2/5 While the website does look decent, it is incomplete, therefore I cannot give it a favorable score. I do see the potential in terms of functionality and aesthetics, but the entire website contains sample text. It does have the vital information, such as contact information. It does say that it serves babka, peanut chew, cakes, and pastries, but it does not provide you with images of these products. Wait Time: 5/5 I did not have to wait for long to purchase my order. Ambiance: 3/5 On the outside, I could see this large corner store in the Goldmont Center that I could clearly imagine catering to many customers. Once I stepped inside, the ambiance felt quite underwhelming. I did not expect to find a small bakery with some of the goods still stacked in some of the noticeable racks, and no tables. Another problem was the lack of labels in the glass counters. It does maintain its cleanliness though. Food: 5/5 I tried four cinnamon rugelachs, and I will say that it was my satisfactory introduction to rugelachs. It had a more cinnamon taste and less bread taste, which helps balances these pastries. The establishment served baskets of rugelach in the open, and I will say that even then, they did not become hard or stale. They retained their fluffy forms and their cinnamon tastes. The website provides some of the menu items, while the Yelp menu has all the options available to you, such as challah bread, danishes, cookies, cakes, and donuts. Service: 5/5 The owner did not have an issue with informing you if you looking for a particular pastry. Worth The Money?: 3/5 The food reflects the brand in all its simplicity, for you will find many Jewish delicacies in this establishment. While it would help Hershy's Bakery's website to show specific images of the food, if I am to believe the awards cataloged in the About Us page, then it would help develop its credibility if ownership updated the entire website. Indeed, the font and the images already on the website already add to its ambiance. I will say that the food does add to the ambiance of the bakery. I would recommend adding labels to the foods. The ambiance made both the wait time and service tolerable. Would I say that Hershy's Bakery is worth it as a small business? Yes. As a place to frequent despite not being from Lakewood Township? Probably not. I can only consider this establishment a choice if I was traveling through Lakewood and happened upon the Goldmont Center. I will say that the owner did balance my order on a weight scale, giving it a fair price. So, I cannot complain. Rating: 4/5 Stars Needless to say, I will say that Hershy's Bakery is quite a good establishment overall. I got to introduce myself to rugelachs despite the limitations. Recommend To... Any other Gentiles who want to try kosher delicacies but do not know where to start, or are hesitate to bake them yourselves. I will tell you that Hershy's Bakery offers you a glimpse into Jewish cuisine with a fresh basket of rugelachs.

Rugalah was also stale and tasted off as well perhaps frozen at one time. Something g else we ordered didn't show up but was refunded and the black and white cookies were nicely wrapped but no one ate them as they were huge and way too much for one person also no description of that. Total disappoint and waste of money

From the Aldrich Plaza, you will find yourself slipping and sliding towards this ice cream shop…read morewith a lot to offer. Brand: 5/5 Shivers Ice Cream is a family-owned restaurant in operation for 30 years, according to the website. I do like the penguin mascot which perfectly represents the establishment. The slogan "Ice Cream, Cakes, and Fun!" manages to evoke a festive environment that Shivers promises. The shorter the syntax, the more evocative and straight-forward; as any English major would know. I do not know if the canvases of solid colors are meant to represent abstract art, but I can see how it does not conflict with the interior. It does not contrast strongly with the light-colored floor tiles or the walls, but it does not complement them either. The rows of ice cream containers with many flavors entices anyone who looks upon them from behind the glass counter. Website: 3/5 The design of the website looks to have an outdated theme. Also, while it does offer a view of the various cakes with unique designs, it does not have a section dedicated to flavors, despite claiming to offer 30 distinct flavors. Nonetheless, I appreciate the cool blue color that serves as the thematic color of Shivers Ice Cream. Ambiance: 5/5 As expected, the interior felt cold, but not too cold that I wanted to leave immediately. The pop music playing over the radio gave the Shivers Ice Cream establishment a pleasant yet upbeat vibe. While it is a small establishment, it did suit us enough, with its tables having the appropriate width and the chairs not having an uncomfortable feel. Service: 5/5 The staff provided decent service. There is a tip jar for college funds, and I appreciate the transparency of where the money goes. Wait Time: 5/5 Our orders came immediately. Food: 5/5 I ordered the small Snix milkshake. As you can expect, it blends milk, ice cream, and Snickers bits into a milkshake. I can definitely taste the chocolate, caramel, and peanuts that typically come with Snickers. The shake had a well-blended consistency of well-preserved ice cream, which melted easily with every sip. It achieves that creamy texture especially at the top. Worth The Money?: 4/5 While the website does offer a view of the products they have, I would like to see what flavors they can showcase on their website. For an ice cream shop with so much personality, I do not even know what their signature dish is. Perhaps it could be in the form of a new flavor, a milkshake, or an ice cream cookie. The penguin mascot reflects off the chilliness of the establishment and the menu items. I am sure that Coldrich the Penguin (as I would call him as a portmanteau of "cold" and "Aldrich [Plaza]") has a future with this establishment. I would say that I did not waste my time coming here. The price for a small milkshake would have been the same at Dairy Queen, but considering this is a local establishment, I will say that the price is ultimately worth it, though as a second choice (indeed, I would choose Shivers as a first choice if I ever come to Aldrich Plaza again if it is the only ice cream shop there). Rating: 5/5 Stars When it comes to choosing between 4 or 5 stars, I see too much potential in this ice cream shop to give it 4 stars. Recommend To... Anyone who already had something to eat for lunch or dinner in the other local eateries in Aldrich Plaza and want dessert. I also recommend Shivers Ice Cream for the summer for a birthday celebration.

Our party of four met here for a kosher dairy lunch. The place is nice with plenty of seating and…read morethe staff is attentive and helpful. We ordered a Fettuccine Alfredo, a truffle grilled cheese, a blackened salmon sandwich and an eggplant Parmesan on a bed of pasta. We heard their pizza is good, but we weren't in the mood for pizza. The fettuccine was nice as was the truffle grilled cheese. I was told the blackened salmon was missing that little bit of spice usually found with a blackened dish. The eggplant Parmesan contained ricotta cheese between the slices which we were okay with, but the eggplant breading was a little overdone. For us, this place seems hit or miss and we're thinking we should have tried the pizza since that was a more popular dish. Maybe we'll get back there to try the pizza.

If you're going for kosher dairy food in Lakewood, this place is probably one of two good places in…read morethe area. Difference here is that these guys know dough and pizza, which means their pizzas (and dessert calzones) will be great. We went on a busy weekend and they had both indoor and outdoor seating. Pizzas were great, and some very funky. There's one with onion rings and bbq sauce, another with mini mozzarella sticks (which is basically just cheese on cheese), and more with roasted cauliflower or broccoli under some more cheese. My advice here is really to try and stick with the stuff with tomato sauce. Would be nice if they incorporated arugula or truffle like some of the more modern NYC Italian restaurants do. Appetizers is where it's at. We didn't try fries, but we did try the tuna tostadas (fish seemed pretty fresh and it was kind of like a crunchy rice), and the nachos (really good and cheesy). This place probably ain't a great idea if you're lactose intolerant. For dessert you definitely want to try the nutella/oreo calzone. Save room. Some minor issues I had was that the service was pretty lacking. Waiters didn't care to properly serve customers and seemed to have an impatient attitude. People that came to bring extra utensils didn't take back our dirty dishes, and for the second half of the meal our table was full of dirty plates. Also the bathroom was used as storage for other stuff, was not clean, and the camera to flush the toilet didn't work. They should put some more money into the staff, clean bathrooms a bit better, and maybe install camera systems for better management. Just my two cents.

The place is pretty big, with white walls, a super high ceiling, fake grass plastered to the top of one of the walls, and mounted TVs showing menu items and regular TV. Black tables and chairs make up the front of the restaurant while booth seats make up the back area. It is fast casual where you place your order with the cashier and find a table. They'll bring the food to you when it's ready. We ordered the following: Sabich- Hubs and I liked this a lot. It's been a while since we had this and the moment I saw it on the menu, I knew I had to have it. Hubs loved the Israeli salad on the inside. Sabich reminds me of Miznon, which is great. I loved this and would order it again. Beef kufta skewer with rice and beans; fried zucchini sticks- It's beef kuftas on 2 skewers. Daughter liked this and thought it was soft and good. I loved the fact that the beef kufta was served in a skewer. I had it like this one other time in Canada and this brought me back to that time. Hubs wished it was lamb. LOL.The zucchini sticks were nicely fried. Be warned that there is an 8% service charge here. We didn't get the receipt but I saw it on the cash register screen. The entrance is a little tricky to get in. You can only get in as if you're going into BJ's/Starbucks. I didn't realize that until I passed the entrance and had to make a U-turn. Once you pass that entrance on Route 9, that's it. The strip mall only has an exit onto Route 9. Overall, service was friendly and quick. Will return when in the area to try other items on the menu.
