It took me a hot minute before I decided I should go see a lactation specialist. One of the reason why I was a bit hesitant was because my experience at the hospital wasn't the best. After my baby had their tongue and lip release i noticed I still felt pain, tenderness, and sensitivity. I wish I had known about Ashley when I had my first daughter. Our breastfeeding journey was very stressful for months and she never ended up latching leaving me to exclusively pump for her.
