The Groupon was for an hour each but we did end up easily purchasing an additional 30 mins for each of us. The business itself is so clean and very cute. They tell you to arrive 10 min early and during the 10 min after check in they give you the option to sit in an amazing massage chair while they get the room ready for you which I have never encountered before and it was an awesome touch. The massage was honestly one of the best I've ever gotten and I have gotten so many in my life. They ask you for target areas and man do they get to them. I was very comfortable with the therapist and the massage really helped my frozen shoulders. They include oils, aroma therapy, hot stones and a scalp massage. This place does not disappoint. I had a fantastic massage by Wanda who felt where my muscles were tight at the very beginning. She then spent most of the time loosening them and it worked! The lobby and massage room was spotless and had such a calming, aesthetic vibe. The front desk staff was very nice and accommodating, and our massage therapists were amazingggg!! They checked in often to make sure the pressure was right and really worked out the knots we didn't even know we had (this whole time I didn't know I had any, but it explains the tense back/shoulders haha). I loved the hot stone addition and my partner could not stop talking about the scalp massage - he loved how his hair felt very soft! I went for the first time to Balance Massage for a Swedish massage recently and ended up with a massage that was definitely not a Swedish massage and was left feeling not relaxed and very unhappy. I had been so looking forward to this massage too but unfortunately "Cece" either does not have a massage license and/or does not understand what a Swedish massage is. It was not gentle soothing strokes. I hated the part when she used her elbow to dig into my upper back. It actually hurt and I had red marks on my back when I looked in the mirror when I got home! Any time a masseuse uses their elbow for massaging makes me feel like they are lazy and not wanting to use their hands which requires more effort. At one point she started to rub my face (I had makeup on) and started to rub my head (getting makeup on my hair). I told her I had makeup on so no massage on my face but that I liked it on my head. She must not understand English very well because she never massaged my head. If she was afraid of getting more makeup on my hair she could have just wiped her hands clean. She didn't massage my hands or feet which is something I would have really enjoyed. She was stretching my legs in extreme ways that my joints were popping and I am a pretty flexible person. It was not a good feeling. I think an older less flexible person would be in a lot pain as I was feeling some pain already. Before I went to Balance Massage, I was afraid that it would be like one of those cheap Chinese massage places but in a fancier setting and unfortunately, that is what it ended up being, but a Lot more expensive. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this place ever again. I had been so looking forward to this massage too since I had not had one in a very long time and even the next day I was feeling unhappy about the unpleasant experience overall. They need to invest in actual licensed masseuses who know what a real Swedish massage entails and not do made up stuff that feels unpleasant and no using elbows!! The only positive would be the place is decorated nicely but I am not going to pay a premium at a massage place for the setting, I am going for a great Massage! And after reading other people's negative reviews and one reviewer having had a bad experience with the masseuse using her elbows too, I know I am not the only one that had the bad treatment. read more

Worst massage I've ever gotten. Came in to get a relaxing massage, specifically picking the Swedish massage for long strokes and deep relaxation. And it was the opposite of that. She spent more than half of the hour grinding her elbow into my shoulders and it was unbelievably painful. I regret not just leaving. Any sensitive areas like the shoulders, neck and hips she just dug into, with her elbow or fingers (and fingernails) and any spots you'd actually want pressure, she was soft. Clearly didn't have experience. ALSO what "fully body" massage doesn't massage feet or hands? And to top it off, the woman at the front desk then proceeded to rudely tell me how much I need to tip. I'm so bummed to write this review but I think people especially expecting mamas need to be aware before booking here. This was the worst massage I've ever had :( My girlfriend who treated me also agreed it was one of her worst. I'm 35 weeks pregnant, my friend is not and she booked us a massage as a "mother to be" treat for me. We ended up sharing a room so it was a "couples massage." This is proof that someone else was in the room who witnessed how horrible the massages were. I'll start with mine- I was so looking forward to this massage as I'm nearing the end of my pregnancy. I asked my therapist to specifically focus on my shoulders, t-band, and inner thighs (pregnant mamas IYKYK) she did not touch any of those areas. In fact, I asked THREE different times for more pressure and it never changed. The entire massage felt like someone was lightly rubbing lotion into my skin. She didn't even give a foot massage. To top it off, nearing the end of the massage she asked me to get on back?!??? Excuse me?? We spent 5 minutes trying different pillows so I could comfortably lay propped up. All the pillows were lumbar pillows so I had no head support. She continued to just rub lotion into my skin. I wanted so badly to just say forget it and finish but I didn't want to disrupt my gf's massage. The therapist I had was no way a professional masseuse, let alone should she be doing prenatal massages. Lastly, my girlfriend said her therapist was using her elbow most of the time and in her bone, she said the massage was erratic and not relaxing at all as she would go from her shoulders to arms to legs, back to her shoulders again. She said it was a very "jerky" massage. The gentleman at the front was very kind and gave us a 5% discount but I would have paid doubled for a massage where I left relaxed instead of wasting 90 minutes of my day :( read more
