    Image of the damaged cushion

We purchased a sofa and love seat set less than 6 months ago. On one of the cushions on the sofa the foam came unglued and is now rolled uncomfortably. You can even feel the large pool of glue through the material and its very uncomfortable. There is no zipper to access the foam and reposition it, or re glue it. We contacted the company to see what could be done about the defect. They wrote back that it was general wear and tear and would not be covered. For what we paid it was a bad value.

I felt extremely uncomfortable the moment I walked into this store. There were two employees standing right next to the entrance and I wanted to look around by myself first, but one of the employees immediately tagged along and showed me the furniture. I understand that he may have been trying to be helpful, but it was a bit too much. Even after I said I would look at the furniture by myself, I could still see the employee in the corner of my eye following me around - it was super uncomfortable. :( They have an online store, so ended up looking at the other items they had via the website at home.

Go literally ANYWHERE else. Raymour and Flannigan, Ridgehome Furnishings, city mattress. Hell, you may have better luck using Facebook Marketplace or Letgo. I have never had such an awful experience dealing with with any company before. Their customer service is far and away the worst I've ever dealt with and it's not worth the headache you'll have to put up with. Do not waste your time here. Also, most people don't know that a majority of other furniture companies actually get their product from Ashley Furniture. Which means even if you find something you like from Ashley's, you can probably get it from somewhere else anyway. You might be able to get it cheaper too. I bought a coffee table from Ashley's in December. 6 months and 5 damaged coffee tables later I finally got them to approve a return (that was 3 weeks ago though and I still haven't gotten my money back). Last week I went to Raymour and Flannigan and found the same exact coffee table there for over $100 less. I ended up buying a different coffee table because I didn't want to chance another defective one. The one I ended up settling on was also available at both Ashley's and Raymour and Flannigan except it was much cheaper at Raymour and Flannigan. I also received the item in 2 days, unlike Ashley's ridiculous 6 week delivery wait time. For anyone who cares to read the full story I bought a lifttop coffee table in early December 2018 and was told 6 week delivery/pickup. It arrived damaged. The wood was cracked. Customer Service said they can't replace it until they tried to fix it first. I told them it's brand new and I don't want it fixed, I just want a new one. There was nothing to be done anyway since the wood was literally cracked. After multiple phone calls of 40+ minutes they finally agreed to replace it. 6 weeks later I receive the new one, which is also broken. The lift mechanism was stripped out of the frame, which made the lifttop unusable. After a phone call with customer service they said they would order a new lift top and lift mechanism and it would arrive in 3 weeks. Once I received it I was to call back and schedule a time for a tech to come out and repair it. 3 weeks later I received a package in the mail consisting of two 1inch springs. I called customer service asking where the rest was and they told me that it wasn't ordered. So I ordered the rest of the pieces and was told rush/overnight delivery was impossible because the company "doesn't do that". 4 weeks go by and I still haven't received anything. I call customer service and they tell me that the pieces are on back order and I won't get them for another couple months. After a very long and aggravating phone call with Ashley's worthless customer service reps, they finally agreed to just order a new table all together, which I would receive in 6 weeks. Fast forward 6 weeks. It is the day I am expecting a phone to schedule the delivery time. I get a call from Ashley saying that the table arrived to their warehouse damaged and that they will be ordering another one for me. Fast forward another couple of weeks and the SAME thing happened again. They called me and told me it arrived damaged. I said I don't even want it at this point because it shouldn't be that difficult to sell a not broken and working product. Especially one that was $500+. They said the best they could do is give me a credit of 10% which amounted to basically nothing. After another very aggravating conversation I finally was able to get the customer service rep to understand that this entire situation was ridiculous and to give me a full refund and to come pick up the table still in my living room. They picked up the table weeks ago, however I still haven't seen a refund from them. Shop at your own risk. Go somewhere else.

Was a fine experience until I tried to get my furniture delivered. I called for 3 days and selected to get a call back. I did this 3 times without a callback. Finally today I stayed on until an agent picked up. I was on hold for almost an hour listening to a repeat message every 30 minutes. I will likely not buy from Ashley again. I don't have 4 days to waste in order to schedule a delivery. I've ordered from other furniture stores where they call me the next day. We shouldn't have to chase the place we bought from to get a delivery.

After two weeks for waiting for my dining table,i got Scratch out table and bench and i had to wait six weeks for my sofa chair.

The prices are fair and the selection is fine, but I find the service at Ashley's to always be poor (and not just at this location either). I'm glad the sales people don't hover all over you like bees at a picnic, but they fall in at the opposite end of the spectrum: useless. It seems their sole purpose is to mean-mug every person that walks in the door, spin around arbitrarily in their spinning chairs, look disinterested in the questions you pose and never know the answer to those questions when you ask them. At least bees would attempt to pollinate you, or make honey or something. In many respects, Ashley's Furniture could do themselves a favor and get rid of their sales people and hire house plants instead: Me: "Does this couch come in a different configuration?" House Plant: "....." Me: "Ok. I guess I'll buy it then." Ugh...

UPDATE 11/30/25:…read more Store's Follow-Up Request Ignored by Management Despite the owner asking me to call the store manager about this unusable mattress, my message to the manager has gone unanswered for over a week. Meanwhile, this mattress continues to get worse. It simply cannot handle my 122 lb. body weight when in use. The materials instantly compress so much that I experience physical discomfort and soreness (an iPad on a stand next to the bed is now exactly level with my face while I'm lying down). This points to a massive failure in the product's support capacity. I'm forced to sleep on my couch now rather than my bed because of the hip and glute pain I'm experiencing. This company's system for resolving customer complaints is clearly broken if the manager ignores a significant issue a customer is having. I cannot recommend a company that sells low-quality products and provides zero follow-up customer service. I will file a formal complaint with the BBB and the NYS Consumer Protection Agency if I don't get a response soon. *****ORIGINAL REVIEW***** I purchased the Celestial Pegasus Plush Innerspring mattress and thought I'd finally get relief from the hip pain and foot numbness I had from my four year old Saatva latex mattress that I spent a fortune on. That wasn't the case. The Pegasus "Plush" wasn't plush at all and the hip pain and foot numbness continued. I should note the pain and numbness only happen when I'm lying down in bed so this isn't a medical issue. I used their exchange policy after sleeping on that mattress for 30 days and exchanged it for the Simmons Emerald Coast, which I was told was a plush mattress. Now I have a whole new pain - my glute is constantly throbbing from lying on this mattress and now I'm stuck with a very expensive mistake. Never purchase a pillow top from Simmons. They sag very quickly. After doing some Googling, I found out this mattress is best for back sleepers and I can see why. That's the only way to sleep on it without much pain, although I'm a side sleeper and can't get used to sleeping on my back. I told the salesperson that I am a side sleeper so I figured he was pointing me in the right direction for side sleepers. I don't have the money to purchase yet another mattress so I'm forced to live in pain. I never in my life had so many issues with mattresses and I know it's possible to be comfortable because I recently slept in a hotel and at a friend's and had no issues. Prior to purchasing the Saatva and then these two mistakes from City Mattress, I never had issues. Bedtime was a pleasure for me. Now it's torture. Service was just ok. Nothing special, but not bad either. I suggest going elsewhere where there are many more brands to choose from.

I'm very happy with my experience here. Huge variety of styles - pretty overwhelming, but the…read moresales guy I talked with was able to help me narrow down my choices based on what I was looking for. It is completely okay and encouraged to lay down on the beds and test them out, even if you go back and forth a bunch of times for comparison. The staff makes you feel like it's important that each customer is happy with their choice - not pushy at all, very friendly and helpful. Although I did not end up purchasing a mattress on this trip, when I am ready to do so, this is where I'm coming back to.

Sold me a living set of furniture and $500 warranty knowing they were going out of business…read more Purchased 1 week before they went public about filing bankruptcy. Here's my story. My delivery was scheduled for a Thursday between 11:15 and 2:15. I rescheduled work appointments for 4 pm that day because I wasn't notified of the time window until two days prior--no big deal. On the morning of the delivery, they called me at 6:40 am to say they would be at the house in 15 minutes. I told them I wasn't ready, and asked if we could keep the original scheduled time of between 11:15 - 2:15. The guy told me he didn't know when they could "redeliver," as if I changed the window, even though they were making the change they made it seem like if I didn't comply who knows when it would come. So I agreed because I had dismantled our furniture the night before and had an empty living room and I have guests coming for Christmas so I had no choice. They came at 7 am and it was a complete mess from there; it just got worse and worse. So they come, start bringing everything in with two guys. Instead of helping each other carry the furniture, they do it separately--one guy carries things in while the other unwraps. Because of this, the guy carrying the furniture drops it HARD on my concrete porch - I have it on my ring camera. Then while trying packing up to go tell me they are missing the end piece of my couch. They don't say a word about missing pieces until they're leaving and tell me part of the couch was damaged, and I should just call the store. I look at them like they're crazy because the store can't just give me a custom piece on the spot. I ask why they would start setting up if they didn't have everything--I would've declined the order! I tell him I can't just call the store because it's custom. I ask where it was damaged and how, I'm panicking, I want to know how bad it is and if it can be fixed because I can't wait 6wks for the end piece of the couch. He says "all the wood in the back is smashed and can't be repaired." He tries to get me to sign, but I decline. They leave and within 30 minutes, call me claiming they found a piece that fits and matches at another store--which is a straight-up lie because it was a custom order. So they lied, saying it was damaged when the whole time it was just lost. They bring it back, put the chair and the couch together WRONG/INCORRECTLY, and tell me that's just how it is when I ask why the couch is off centered and the cushion on the chair is slanted downwards off the base, they have no answers for me, I paid 400 dollars for this delivery service. For what for them to come at the crack of dawn, to drop and damage my furniture and then to lie to me about a different piece being damaged? I was so upset sobbing, I have company coming for the he holiday and I'm thinking I'll have a half couch. Then I realized all the felt is hanging because instead of unwrapping the staples from the plastic he took all the staples out of the couch itself. Out of almost 1k in delivery and warranty that doesn't apply because they went out of business.

Even when we first got it delivered, it looked and felt different than what we saw on the showroom floor. We contacted the store and asked if they could repair the flattened out cushions and they told us we would have to go through their repair request process, which we did. After they took their time, they got back to us only to tell us the warranty didn't cover "normal wear and tear." We never expected the cushions would flatten out in less than a year! I think their showroom has BETTER QUALITY items than what they are actually selling. BUY FROM RAYMOUR & FLANIGAN INSTEAD! THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. VCF DOES NOT!!

DO NOT BUT ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE! Im surprised this…read moreplace isnt shut down by now because the way they operate is insane. I came in a few months ago searching for a mattress. I finally settled on one for 500$ and was making payments over a couple months ( im a student, 8 months pregnant, ect). i wanted the mattress to be in my house before i went into labor. a few weeks ago i was going to make my last payment and ready to pick up my mattress. I went in (i live 30 min away mind you) for them to tell me that they dont have the mattress in stock. i was upset but was assured the mattress would come in soon. I called back many time in the upcoming weeks to see if the mattress came, they kept telling me its on some random truck, which they could not get in contact with because the trucking company has no phone number... only an email and they werent getting a response from the truck company. now its been a month, and i have no mattress but they want me to pay for the mattress... I was then told i could come in, get a 10 inch mattress of the same brand and they would throw in a "free" box spring. i again drove 30 minutes to this place and they forgot to inform me that the 10 inch mattress was not the same softness as the one i originally ordered. i ask for corporate numver, they tell me there is no corporate number. i ask for an email, they said they cant give me an email bc that email they use is for employees only.... what the hell bro. They tell me i should go online and submit an inquiry about my frustrations . I then ask for a refund. they say they will keep 50$ of my refund because i had the product on layaway. im very confused as to why they would withhold 50$ if they themselves dont even have the product!!! I ask them, when i originally came in, did you guys even have the mattress to begin with??? The manager (Tim) says he doesnt even know. Stay with me... then to process my refund i used three different cards when i came in to make my payments. he told me that each card had to be on hond so he can process each individual transaction to each individual card. one of them i dont have because it expired and overall to process individual refunds is extremely inconvenient. This place needs to be shut down and out of business. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I went to Raymour and Flanigan and was able to get a softer mattress, better quality, better customer service and a better price right away. i will never come to this place again. no wonder why theyre always empty, parking lot never had cars in it and they have low reviews. i should of known.
