Worst customer service.... I've been blown off for the last month about furniture was delivered damaged... The lady was soooo rude.... Uneducated and disrespectful to customers... Please buy your furniture from a reputable company with a return policy... Because they will not be helpful at all should everything not go as planned. Customer service is not a priority here. Never again will I EVER purchase a piece of furniture at Ashley Furniture. I bought a sectional that was delivered last Thursday. Once the delivery guys left, we decided it was too big for the space. I called the store and they said we had to pay a restocking fee - no biggie. The couch and love seat we wanted in exchange was actually more expensive than the sectional- so it was a no brainer for the to exchange it, right? WRONG! The staff there are so ghetto and unprofessional, told us we should of measured better and that we had buyers remorse; making us stuck with the sectional. Bought a couch on October31st... delivery date was scheduled on December 30th between 1:45-4:45. We left our lunch early to make it home before the arrival time. THEY ARRIVED AT 11 am! No phone call..... no note... NOTHING. We found out they came hours early due to our ring doorbell. Now they want to reschedule January 8th... are you kidding me? No one wants to take accountability for their actions, or come up with a solution. This was purchased for my grandmother as a Christmas gift. I LOVE Ashley Furniture! The showroom is very diverse... you will love some things, laugh at others and be shocked at a few. The staff is a little (I mean A LOT) overbearing, but I'm a lone shopper so that may just be me. Everything is affordable (as a 23 year old redecorating her apartment I can't exactly afford Williams-Sonoma...:) ...YET) and they do have really fresh and simple things that look nice. Buyer beware is right! I bought a sectional 3 months ago, and the cushion feel like I've have had this sectional for 6 years. I'm out of the town half of the year. So when I spoke to the customer service call center they said that was just normal wear and tear. Who would think 3 months no pets or kids that would be considered normal wear and tear on sectional. They only cover manager manufacturer defects, so irregular are defective cushion it's not considered a manufacturer defect. So if nothing else to call center sticks to the script no matter how unfair it is and I paid good money for the sectional. One star is too much. It is the changing of the seasons and time to decorate once more. Ok, so I used that as an excuse to go looking at furniture. This place has only recently opened so it is still all nice and shiny and full of all sorts of goodies. It's also nice for getting some decorating ideas...but I digress. Nice store, nice things, decent enough pricing, two floors full of items for dining rooms, living rooms, kiddie rooms, etc. Some of the items were "who the hell is going to put THAT in their house?" while others had me wanting to just gut our place and start anew. Worst furniture buying experience EVER! Supervisor on the desk worse EVER! Couldn't keep a promise if her life depended on it. I bought a $3000 Tempur pedic mattress and was told that I had 90 days to exchange it. For a whole month she made me promises to take care of it but never did! It has been 5 months & not even her manager have reached out to me even though I have made several complaints. I would NEVER refer ANYONE to Ashley Home Stores. Also tried to resolve with the O'Fallon Missouri store. I talked to Courtney who was very condescending to me and unapologetic when I checked her on it! I had finally decided it was time for a new Love Seat in my Den !! Looked online for a couple of days and found the style I wanted at Ashley Home Store !! Went to the Ballwin location and was greeted by Nichole K. who was very friendly and knowledgeable. They didn't have our Love Seat on the floor and Nichole suggested we look at another of their stores to make sure that was the style we wanted and how it sat. That's what we did and returned to the Ballwin Store for purchase. Everything went Great !! Nichole is a Dream !! Purchase was made on Tuesday and delivery was on Friday !! Warning, Stay away from Ashley Furniture Stores they are dishonest and Do NOT stand behind products , promises or Insurance agreements period. We purchased insurance when buying a Dining Room Set . We were told we could use the base price of the policy towards another purchase or refund after item is payed for and no claim was made. After qualifying for a refund and or credit towards another purchase we continue to be told multiple excuses of why we cannot use the refund . We were told as long as the item is $500.00 or more we could use it , when we picked a clearance item we were told we can't use it after a sales rep at the Ballwin Mo. store told us would could in fact use it , then we were told " ohh your refund has expired" but if you call corporate we will honor and allow you to use it. No answer no return calls they completely shunned us off. We will NEVER shop or do Business again with Ashley Furniture. I was so excited to find the perfect bedroom set at Ashley and purchased a $4,000 bedroom set. That was in June and it's now December and it's still not available for delivery. I was told a delivery date of November 7 and sold my old bedroom set to make room for the new one. It was not delivered. The date kept getting pushed back. Ashley Furniture was one of the many stops we made in our search for new living room furniture. We were looking for some modern dark grain wood tables/stands and a comfortable sectional that would both dress the room up and be comfortable for everyday living. The staff greeted us as we entered and offered assistance. During one visit we even had a salesperson walk us to EVERY piece of furniture that fit the style we were describing. I must precede the rest of my review by stating that my past experience has taught me to look for items of higher quality that will meet the following criteria: A) Survive druken idiots (table dancing, body slams, etc) B) Survive little kids and toy cars C) Require minimal maintenance D) Remain sturdy and solid throughout their operational life We found a few pieces that we liked, they looked great but the quality was much to be desired. Most pieces consisted of particle board with a cheap veneer overlay, while others had sub-par wood finishes consisting of soft "easily dent-able" wood. Most pieces were offered in a "what you see is what you get" fashion with limited ability to customize. If you are seeking affordable furniture this is definitely a good option. read more

Purchased reclining sofa and loveseat. Thought the initial experience went well enough. Found something we liked and speaking to sales person were happy to learn they "manufactured in the US" with "mostly US parts." Told us how they use thickest steel on market etc. all while reinforcing the made in America angle emphatically. They promise prior to July 4th. Stuff arrived on July 15th. So a couple weeks late but okay. Then noticed the big letters on the box stating that they are made in Vietnam. Hmm. Same place. One discount furniture crap is made but for twice as much money. Yay. Nothing like being lied to specifically, intentionally and for quite a long time. Ashley, I truly hope our purchase is worth it because I will never step foot in another Ashley furniture store again. We've bought before and we satisfied, but I cannot stand be lied to. I would have probably bought even if the sale person would have been honest and I would have taken time to write this review. Ordered a storage bed and when they delivered it they had the wrong headboard. Had to totally reorder and they came to deliver it today and had the same problem again, the wrong headboard with the wrong footboard. We have been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for a month now and looks like it's going to be another month, unless they screw up a third time. I've tried talking to customer service and the delivery department and nobody seems to care that they messed up twice. They just say the protocol is to reorder the bed. It's ridiculous, go find me the right headboard with the right footboard and rails, And deliver it!! Their customer service is the worst, wait times on the phone are outrageous, they don't call you with an answer like they promise, such a frustrating ordeal. Buyer be ware. Ashley is a franchise and each store is operated independent. If you decline to have your furniture delivered and go to the distribution center on Green park road to pick up and something happens during the one year warranty for cushion's or frame in order to enforce the warranty you must bring the product back to them in order to have it fixed. What kind of business practice is this? have a warranty but in order to have it fixed you have to bring it to them. But if you pay their delivery fee during the one year they will send their service to you. Scam. read more

This has been the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. We purchased dining room and living room furniture on May 17 and have been getting the run around from the store manager, customer service, and the distribution center on when it will be delivered. I cannot get an answer, every week it gets pushed to the next week. I sold my old furniture when I was told when my furniture would be delivered. I purchased bedroom set from Ashley Furniture on Manchester Road, St. Louis, MO 63122 on 7/16/2022. I was told when purchased the chest would be available in two weeks and the bed the first part of December. I called several times to check on the Chest and the customer service department said it is on the way. I finally called again on August 30th and spoke to a representative concerning my order and was told it would be in the warehouse on 9/6/2022 to call back and schedule a time for pickup. On September 7, 2022, after several attempts to contact the store to which NO ONE answers and I was told by one of your customer service employees they don't have time to answer in the stores that the chest is no longer available. The representative asked could he just pick out a chest that kind of matches the bed that is available (his exact words). I declined as I couldn't believe what I was hearing on several levels.. I then asked for the order to be canceled and a refund issued, which he stated he took care of and I even got an email showing the refund invoice. I was told it should take 5 to 7 days for the refund to be in my account. I called back today September 13th due to the fact I have not received my refund to be told by a representative that the order was not canceled and they would have to cancel today and again I have to wait 7 to 10 business days for the refund. I feel this is a scam that Ashley does to keep your money, which was paid by a debit card. I also feel that Ashley has the WORST customer service from the representatives that answer the calls, to calling the customer service line and holding for over 30 minutes to only hear someone pickup on the line and hang up, to not being able to get ahold of the store, and so much more. read more

I ordered furniture back in July. I was told that even with some of the delays with Covid it would be delivered end of August. I got a call about a week before delivery that everything was in, but the bed rails so we pushed back the delivery date. By mid September, I called to check again. This time they told me that everything was in but the mattress. Not sure how one item that was in before was now not available. We set up a delivery when they said everything was in. That day came and went with no delivery and another date was sent to us. Two days before delivery, they called to tell us that the headboard, footboard and rails were not available for delivery. We had already taken down our daughter's furniture and she was sleeping on the floor. I tried calling customer service. No one could answer questions. When I asked to talk to a supervisor who could help me, I was put back to the original customer service menu. I had to drive to the store. At that time, the customer service person told me everything except headboard, footboard and rails would be delivered on the date we had set up and the rest would be delivered the following week. We just got a phone call that the mattress is also not available. All they had was the nightstand and dresser. We can't get a hold of anyone to help us. I have never experienced such awful customer service and talked to so many people that can't help you at all. I understand longer wait times due to current circumstances, but the dishonesty or lack of knowledge to be able to help customers is awful. NO one can give you an honest answer. My boyfriend & I purchased a couch at Ashley furniture a month ago and had exceptional service from Michelle. However, when we went to pick up our couch the warehouse no longer had it in stock, even though we called the warehouse two days prior to guarantee that it would be ready. Now we are out $100 to rent a truck & gas, a day off work wasted & we inconvenienced family & friends for no reason at all. To say the least, it made our moving day very stressful. What makes this matter even worse is that we will not receive our couch for another two weeks so we will not be able to entertain family that will be in town at our new house like we were looking forward to. Ashley furniture will delivery our couch for free but that still does not make up for costs of moving we have already spent & now we have to cancel plans on a Saturday so that the couch can be delivered before the holidays. When I called the store where I purchased the couch they said they cannot help me since this is a warehouse issue and all they could do is submit a ticket and someone may reply in 48 business hours when I requested to speak with a representative. I will not continue to give Ashley Furniture my business nor my referrals in the future. I believe spending the amount of money that I did within the past month with this establishment deserves higher quality of service which we did not receive. read more

I have received the WORST service ever at this store. I ordered a bedroom set and dining room table with chairs. All were scheduled to be delivered on 9/16, which they were. Unfortunately, the bedroom set was missing the boxspring and had brought the wrong size bed sides. The delivery guys installed everything as if nothing was wrong, and put a full sized mattress on a queen sized bedframe (without a boxspring). When I asked the gentlemen if they thought it would be safe to put my 4-year-old daughter on it they began to take it apart and took away the 'bad' parts. I was told by a customer service rep that the correct parts would be brought the next day. The next day, around 3pm, after waiting all day I finally called and was told that they had no record of the delivery. I scheduled a new delivery date, this time the only available time was 9/29, but they would try to get items to me sooner. On 9/19 the boxspring was delivered, but my daughter was still sleeping on a mattress on the floor, only now under a boxspring. On 9/25 I received a robocall voicemail telling me to call a number and confirm my delivery date of 9/29. When I called the number back I got a voicemail asking me to leave a message. I did, and left my name, phone number and confirmed that I would be home waiting on 9/29 for the furniture. I never received a call back. By noon on 9/29 we began calling Ashley Furniture and after over a dozen attempts actually reached a real person. That person told us we are scheduled for 10/1. Today, 9/30, I received the robocall again, this time it did not leave a number to call back. I called the store and spoke with Michael to confirm my delivery date. Michael told me it was scheduled for 10/2. I asked him to check his records and he confirmed that it was originally set for 10/1 but because of scheduling conflicts that it was pushed back to 10/2. After pressing him on this further, Michael told me it was "not his problem" and that he "didn't do anything" and it "wasn't his fault". I asked for Michael's last name and/or identification number. He told me no and hung up on me. I called the store back to ask for the manager and Michael answered and preceded to tell me that no manager was on duty and she wouldn't be until Friday. I've left a complaint using the form on the corporate website. And I still don't know if I'll receive the remaining furniture parts that I've ordered. Over the past 5+ years we have solely purchased from Ashley Furniture, but no longer. --UPDATE-- I received another robocall trying to confirm a delivery date of 10/2. I followed the prompts and eventually reached a person, Justin, who was very helpful. Justin rescheduled the 10/2 delivery date to a date that would work better for me, 10/6. He also confirmed what happened with our original delivery date of 10/1. He said that it was put on the first truck, but was moved to the second truck because the first truck was full. And since this order was a re-delivery that no sales person would call and notify me of the error. He also refunded me the delivery charge. Justin was the first helpful person I've spoken with in this entire process. --UPDATE 10/7/15-- After posting this multiple people at Ashley reached out to me, including someone named Carrie from the corporate office. She was amazing! She followed up with me nearly every day to make sure it was 'right'. Eventually we had the remaining parts delivered and installed on 10/6. I've raised my stars from 1 to 3 mainly because of her and her incredible service. She spent the time to listen to me and sounded genuine when she apologized. She followed up with the delivery warehouse to confirm the correct delivery dates. If I could give a review on her service alone it would be 5 stars. In the end, mistakes happen and things don't always work out as planned, and I'm OK with that. What I'm not OK with is being hung up on by a customer service rep, for any reason. I could/would understand if I were using foul language or being offensive. My suggestion to this would be to record all phone conversations with customers and store for 48 hours so if a complaint did come up then the tapes could be pulled. Nice people, decent prices, HORRIBLE delivery. You'll love the furniture in the store, but you will need to dedicate an entire 24 hour period for delivery. Will they deliver morning? afternoon? will they give you a range like the cable guy? They can't tell you anything besides the date until the DAY PRIOR. Not even a half day option. It's ok, say that may not work. Can you find out other dates? NOPE, not unless they cancel your entire delivery. Then back to waiting weeks on end. Want to pick it up yourself? Fine, but you'll be voiding the manufacturer warranty as told by the sales rep. This is how they keep the prices low. They utilize a bare bones delivery company with poor attitudes and no ability to help. read more

If you want to buy something that looks great and falls completely apart in a few years this is the place to shop. They have a one year warranty which means if the product is found to be defective (google "durablend peeling") they stand/hide behind the warranty. I have a very nice couch and recliner that 50% of the durablend leather has literally peeled off from normal/light use. Wish I could add a picture to review, you would be shocked. EDIT: While an offer appeared for assistance the story is the same. Ashley Furniture (the maker of the furniture) claims peeling leather isn't a defect it's wear and tear and there is only a one-year warranty and I'm past that. read more

Awful service! Placed an order on 6/13 for a lot of stuff and still waiting for half the order. They keep pushing the delivery date back. Was finally supposed to get most of it today, but delivery truck showed up today and was missing the dressers. So we have nightstands and no dressers or headboard & footboard even though we confirmed on every call confirming delivery that the dressers were coming today. Have to wait over 30 mins trying to to talk to someone when calling the 866 number only to get disconnected for no reason, never even had a person answer. Wasted 40 mins chatting with customer service online to be told they can't do anything because our account is locked since we had a delivery today. It unbelievable the runaround you get with Ashley Home Store. It's really a shame because I think the furniture is nice. Buyers beware!! read more
