My wife and I were beginning our preliminary research on getting a new bed. I like to gather information from a lot of different places, to make sure I'm making an informed decision, and obviously getting a good price. We decided to start this process with Ashley Furniture. Everyone was very helpful. We ended up talking to two salesman, the sales manager, and the store manager. No one was pushy though - just very friendly and ensuring we were being taken care of. They put together a package that seemed great for a bed overhaul (mattresses, adjustable bases, pillows, mattress protectors, etc), but were very understanding that we weren't ready to buy yet.
I spent the next day going around town and looking things up online, so I could feel confident in my buying decision. I thought I had found a better solution at another store, buying some very slightly used and returned frames. I appreciated everyone at Ashley so decided to stop in and let them know I'd be going with someone else. Truly, my intention was not to try to negotiate further. It was going to be a two-minute conversation. The manager made a call and was able to offer me something very close to what I was going to get at the other place, but without needing to roll the dice on returned furniture. I was sold, partly on the price and partly just on how much everyone wanted to take care of us.
Both the salespeople and the manger were very creative. What we ended up with in the end was quite different than what we were originally talking about (ie: different mattresses and different adjustable bases), but we're very happy with how it all played out in the end.
Ashley wants your business! They certainly fought to get me as a customer, and they earned it. Again, this wasn't all about the final sales price (in fact, we ended up spending more than we had originally planned). I really appreciated that no one was an annoying salesperson, and the lengths they were willing to go with creative combinations in order to find something that felt right and fair for everyone involved. They were very patient and understanding in letting me shop around and come back multiple times to ask different questions and get clarification on things I hadn't thought of before. If anything, I was the annoying customer!
Salesman Rick and Ryan were both very friendly, relatable, and knowledgeable. And huge compliments to the store manager, Nicole for being more involved than she probably normally is, but doing it with a smile and sense of humor the whole time. I felt everyone was a very straight-shooter, which you don't always get with commission sales people.
We will definitely make Ashley Furniture our first stop in the future. read more
