Several of my friends own and love their Ashely furniture, so when we were in need of a new sofa set, Ashley was the first place we looked. I spent months shopping around at different stores, (including several Ashley stores), comparing prices, looking for sales, and weighing my options. We actually avoided this particular Ashley location because I saw the extremely low rating and negative reviews here on Yelp. But we happened to be in the area when they were having their inventory liquidation sale at the beginning of the year and I figured it would be worth looking at. To preface this, I did have a rather displeasing experience with the sales reps at the Catonsville location (they were very polite to me on my first visit when I was alone, but when I brought my husband back the next day to get his opinion on the sofa I was considering, the rep's attitude suddenly turned to being rude and overly pushy). I walked into the Glen Burnie store expecting much of the same. The day we visited the store was very busy. A rep greeted us at the door, gave us his name and then told us we were free to look around without being hassled. The store was clean and easy to navagate, if not quite as neatly organized as some of the newer locations. Once I found the sofa set I'd come in to look at our sales rep let us know the current sale price. I explained to him that I had done my research and found the same Ashley sofa for a lot less at a different chain, and after he discussed it with the store manager he was able to beat the price for me. He was very friendly and courteous, and if that had been the end of my experience with Ashely I would have totally given this rating 5 stars. We were quoted at least three weeks on delivery, due to the currently liquidation sale. To my surprise our sofa set was delivered 3 days after the purchase. Delivery and set up from Ashley runs around twice what a lot of other places in the area were charging for local delivery. This is supposed to include a 5 point inspection (in which if you find damage or missing pieces you are not supposed to accept the merchandise) and they promise that their delivery team will be polite and mindful of you home. The team arrived within their 4 hour window. They even called first to let us know they were on their way. When they arrived they were quick to unload and set up our new furniture, and the furniture arrived in excellent condition. However it had been a wet day and as a result the yard was muddy and the men walked right through the mud and into our carpeted living room without any mind to what they were tracking. One of them even removed the throw pillows from the sofa and placed them face down on the wet dirty ground outside the front door. And they didn't seem like they were even aware that I had the right to inspect my furniture. (At no time did they ask me to look it over, they just set it up and then asked me to sign off on the delivery as they were headed out the door.) I did go back and take time to inspect it before signing anything because I know better. read more

Is not even worth one star! This furniture store is not worth your money, I am being very honest that you should highly consider another store. I would not even recommend another location as I have heard negative reviews about them as well. My husband and I spent almost $3k there and I will not ever give them another penny of my money. I would not even take their furniture if someone gave it to me because I want nothing to do with a company that has no integrity about being honest to their customers and providing them with the product they pay for. My experience is as follows: My husband and I went to Ashley furniture to purchase new living room set for the thanksgiving holiday as we had family coming over and had recently renovated our living room. We purchased a leather sofa, two lamps, and an accent chair. We wanted to purchase the matching loveseat but just was not sure if we could fit it in the space we were going to put it. Before our order was placed we asked if it was able to be received by thanksgiving and they stated yes and that it was in stock. I also asked if for some reason I needed to return the items, was I able to and the manager as well as my sales rep stated "Yes without any stipulations." After going home and doing some measuring, I found out we could fit the loveseat so immediately went the next day to purchase the loveseat as well. I asked if it was also in stock and was told "Yes." Long story short.. The only item in stock was the sofa so in order to have furniture in my home for the holidays, I asked for the sofa to be delivered while i waited for the other items. Here we are close to christmas and I still have no additional furniture. After many follow up calls (me calling them because they never called me), I found out that my lamps and loveseat were on hold waiting for the accent chair and then by the time my accent chair came in they took the loveseat off hold to give to another customer! How do you take my money and put an item on hold and then give my loveseat to another customer! Not once did I hear anyone say sorry about my inconvenience or was anyone apologetic. They now are unable to tell me when the next loveseat will be in as they need to purchase another one from the manufacturer and ship to warehouse. I presented to the store yesterday for a refund of all my items and while speaking with the customer service rep, the manager sat next to her and didnt even interject. Only after I asked if he remembered us and the fact he promised we could return the items with no problem did he finally say yes. He of course pointed the finger on corporate and never took ownership of the problem or even apologize. I was told because the sofa was delivered I needed to call corporate. I call corporate and spoke with a CS Rep by the name of Shayley who said we cant do anything for you. I asked to speak with manager and she placed me on the phone with Jackie who proceeded to tell me there was nothing that they could do as I received the product. I went back and forth with her about the manager letting me know I could return the product and that this was their fault not mine. She stated she has presented me with a solution and she would disconnect the call. I asked what solution and she stated that they could not return the item. The last time I checked that is not a solution, terrible customer service and urgeeee people to not spend your money there!! read more

I purchased a bed and realized it was defective. I called an reached a customer service rep, who said I could return the bed. She said to expect a phone call from a person who would pick it up. I never received a phone call. I called back multiple times, never got through but left a message several times. Nobody called me back. My husband called and never got through. We finally reached somebody after weeks of trying. The rep said since it had been over 72 hours they could not process the return. We were never told this. Also, we never got a call back and I was initially told I could return the bed. I told her we were told we could return the bed. She said she didn't have record of that. I told her that it's not my fault the didn't record the call; and I left multiple voicemails and never received a call back. She sarcastically said she would check the voicemails and hung up on me. This is absolutely unacceptable and needs to be resolved ASAP. read more

We went to Ashley Furniture and found exactly what we were looking for, we went through the purchasing process and when we finally got to the point that I thought we were going to schedule delivery we were told that our furniture wouldn't be available for 2-8 weeks. WAIT, the sale person never informed us of this. When I asked the girl why we hadn't been informed of the delivery prior to buying she couldn't answer. I was upset, I just paid you $1900 to be told I might have to wait up to 8 weeks??? Another sales person saw that I was upset and reassured me that the couch we bought was one of their most popular items and that it would probably be in within 2 weeks. Probably? I just called to get an estimated ETA on my items and was informed that it would be another 2-3 before they were available for delivery. I really like the items that we are purchasing, but why can't you tell people upfront that your might need to wait two months? I can honestly say that I would not have purchased this item if I knew it would take this long, guess I answered my own question, they don't tell you till after you pay because they want the sale. DO NOT BUY HERE IF YOU WANT YOUR FURNITURE IN A TIMELY FASHION. read more

I really do not like posting bad things about companies, and how they conduct their business, but I have to say this that Ashley Home Furniture should be ashamed of themselves in the way they conduct themselves. The sales rep will tell you one thing, and then once they have received the money, and you can not get a refund they tell you that their policy is 3-8 weeks (which know they tell you it on the contract), and they are quick to dismiss your frustration, because I am sue they know it going to happen. The day we went to the store we were told by the actual Ashley rep that the furniture company was an American owned store, but when calling to the customer service it was stated that the reason it was taking so long is that is was being shipped from overseas. read more

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!! My husband and I purchased a bedroom set from here last week. Today was the delivery date between the hours of 3pm-7pm. (Those times were horrible enough as it is) Around 8pm we get a call from Ashley's furniture - saying Raul, the driver was running about an hour behind. Before I knew it, it was 8:55pm: we then Called Ashley's back where they said "if we were scheduled for delivery today, you will get it today" 10:45pm rolls around and still no bedroom furniture. Sad part is, they charge a delivery fee of $150 and can't even manage to get it to my house on time! My husband works 4pm-12am and took off just to be here with me while the delivery guy was setting up. It's now 11:27PM and we haven't heard from the delivery man... not even a courtesy call saying that he won't be coming tonight. I wish I would have read these yelp reviews first. We're calling first thing in the morning to demand a refund on the delivery fee, and if they can't get the furniture here by a decent time tomorrow, we will be canceling the furniture! read more

Ordered Furniture(Bedroom Set & Sofa Set) on November 2nd, i received the Bedroom set within a week but i haven't received the Sofa set yet, every time i call i get different expected shipment dates. Purchased a recliner rocker. Very expensive ($1500.00 in store value) The back of the recliner was not aligned correctly, the right side rubbed against the arm and the motor function was fast and jumpy. A repairman suggested replacement or a different type of chair. Ashley furniture will replace the recliner rocker without cost but if a different type of chair is chosen to replace the chair I would pay a $150.00 pickup fee and a 30% restocking fee for the chair I purchased. Regardless of who I spoke to there was absolutely zero bend on their policy. I feel that this should have been explained when I purchased the chair. Additionally the chair had to be put together when it arrived. The top, left and right arms, were zippered on. That's right zippered on. The back of the chair was inserted into slots on the lower back seat yep into slots, which I feel is part of the problem with the alignment. The right side was misaligned and rubbed making noise when rocking or putting the seat back or forward. Just a poorly designed system. ALL AROUND WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER HAD.. My wife and I visited Ashley Furniture last month on Sept 6. We bought a couch and a bedroom set for around $1600 on their Labor Day special so there was no shipping fee. The couch was in the warehouse and the bedroom set still had to be ordered by them to not pay a shipping fee we have to wait for the bedroom set to be in the warehouse so they can ship both of them together. We were told (lied to) by the sales associate that we would have them delivered by late Sept. We later get a call saying that it would be early Oct. (Annoying but whatever)... But then here we are on October 13th wondering what the heck is going on. We call customer service and they tell us that the furniture should be in the warehouse around early November (Thanks a lot for the courtesy of calling us to let us know that) Even if it gets to the warehouse in November who knows when it would be delivered here. read more

AVOID! Bought furniture on 1/28/2017. The service girls in the back were so darn rude and short with customers that I kept shopping. They were sighing loudly, rolling their eyes, mumbling -just really nasty dispositions from both the girls and their manager. Well I found a better deal on a set elsewhere on 1/29. I called this store to cancel and at first they tried to tell me they don't do refunds. Then they said I have to come in to cancel my order. Meanwhile the salesperson called me back to convince me to take another furniture set. When I arrived at the store the staff were really rude as if I was taking up their time to cancel my order. The salesperson who sold me the set barely made eye contact as I walked right past him on my way to the back. The manager gave me a refund for the taxes and delivery I paid and I was assured they were canceling the finance request. Come to find out, this sham of a store still processed my $3300+ charge and I was told by the finance company that I am liable for payments until the store processes the refund. When I called this store and asked how long it takes to process the refund, some girl named "Kayla" said they were still trying to figure out how it got processed. It's now 2/10 and the charges are still there! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! At all costs! read more

My husband and I went in on a Saturday night. We were greeted at the door by Ashley. I immediately told her what I was looking for. Without a second she told us to follow her. She took us right to the couch that met all if my specifics. She was well versed in her prices, breakdowns, sales and ALL furniture details. At one point my husband mentioned he was thirsty. Ashley went to the backroom area and gave him a bottle of water. She made our furniture shopping experience enjoyable with her no pressure sales approach, genuine personality and integrity. I would recommend Ashley all day long. As we agreed to the purchase we were introduced to Joslyn. A kind women working out our financing. She was quick and precise. Overall my experience was most pleasant. The prices are fair and if you catch a sale, you simply can't beat it. Thank you Ashley and Josyln you made this a place I will return to for my future furniture needs. read more

After 4.5 months we finally received our cushion replacement. What a huge slap in the face, all we received was a piece of foam glued together. That took over 4 months to put together? There was no poly fill casing or cushion cover, just some foam. After numerous phone calls and continuous excuses this is what you send us?? Not once did anyone communicate to us that all we were paying for was a piece of foam. We even went us far as to ask for our money back to pay to have a replacement cushion custom made. Not a single manager or above reached out to us to apologize or try to rectify this HORRENDOUS experience for us. After complaining to the better business bureau all they responded with was, "Customers shipment scheduled for the 18th." What a joke you are as a company. I will NEVER purchase another thing from you, and I will continue to share my horrific experience with anyone who will listen. Had you communicated with us from the beginning or even showed an ounce of compassion this entire situation could have been different. Bravo, Ashely Furniture. My boyfriend just had back surgery and he could not sleep in the bed. The day he came home I was looking for a recliner for him. My step daughter and I went to get him a chair. The salesman was very nice. We was told if we paid cash we could pick it up. We went and picked it. My step daughter check it over it work great. Two months later the motor stop working. I called the store and was told I had to pay $150 for someone to look at it. I ask why and was told because I pick the chair up. I went in to the store and they called the warehouse and told them that the chair was damage ( not damaged but stoped working). I was told that I could bring the chair to the warehouse and they will look at it. They would call us in 2 days and let us know what was going on, no phone call. I waited 2 more day and called was told the repair man was not in. After 2 weeks of trying to get an answer we were told they had to get us a new one. They said it would be in 2/2/17. The date came and no phone call we called and they told us the 15. Called again after the 15 and was told the 23. Called back on the 28 and was told it came in and they call to set up appointment. Called back and told them I have not received a phone call about the appointment and was told it be in on March 12 and we will get a phone call on the 13. We will see if they do what they say. I called on the 13th and they told me the 17th. I called them on the 19th and the eta is the 25th of march. We been dealing with this since the 19th of January. read more

I have the worst experience with Ashley Furniture! I bought a set of couch from Regency Furniture on 6/28 and they scheduled delivery for today 7/7/2017 7am -11am time frame, driver called me at 7:48am saying he's outside my house, came to realize he showed up to the wrong house! So the warehouse, and he refuse to deliver to the right house even though it's their fault not me. Warehouse called me and saying they can't deliver to the right address because their system showed my old address not the new one even though on my receipt it says Deliver to my new address! I asked to speak to a manager and they decided to tell me they'll send my couch last stop between 11am-3pm. At 1:45 driver called and say he's 20mins away i said ok, at 2:30pm which is almost an hr later, driver didn't show, i called driver 3 times didn't pick up. Contacted warehouse, and they said give the driver till 3:15pm, at 3:30pm still didn't show up! So i called warehouse again! And they have the decency to tell me the dispatcher told them the driver WILL NOT show up today, I'm "gonna" have to wait for them to deliver my couch that i already paid for back to their warehouse and call to reschedule again. What kind of customer service is thie!!??? I will NEVER shop at Ashley's ever again and i will be gladly to tell many people NOT TO shop there, I'll write an article and blog about thus as well. Called "a..hole" by Ashley Furniture corporate rep DJ Gemza This review about Ashley Furniture was posted on 4/3/2016 by Nancy Kosack of Baltimore I went to the Ashley Furniture sale "buy one get one free" . I was met at the door by a sales person who showed us to sofas. The sofas I was looking at averaged $1K. I was told by the sales person that the $1K price was if you wanted to "buy one get one free", however, if you only wanted to buy the sofa it was only 1/2 the price on ticket. I was very unhappy as I thought this was a form of false advertising, but I was going to purchase the sofa anyway. I asked the sales person if he would get me the corporate phone number so I could voice my frustration with the sale. While I was waiting, I remembered that there were 2 corporate reps at the store. I went over to speak with DJ Gemza and another gentleman, Pete Skarulis. While I was speaking in the direction of both men, DJ was the one who stood in front of me smirking. I began to explain my frustration with what I explained was a form of false advertising. DJ told me there was nothing wrong with this sale as it is at the sales person's manager's discretion to extend the 1/2 half off the single piece of furniture. I told him I thought it was a bull...t sale and I thought it was very unfair to consumers. DJ and I exchanged a few more examples on why and why not the sale was bogus. Then DJ called me an "a..hole" based on what I had said. I was shocked. I agreed that I had stated that this was a bull...t sale and that was out of line, but for a corporate rep to stand in front of a customer smirking and then calling that person and a..hole. I did not directly associated the "bull...t" with him personally. I am appalled that a professional rep from a company would treat a person as I was treated let alone call a customer an a..hole. Needless to say I did not order the sofa. After going online when I returned home, I understand why people are so dissatisfied with Ashely Furniture and am glad I did not purchase the furniture from them. read more

There is nothing less than 1 star? THIS STORE IS A JOKE! I wish I would have gone on here to read reviews before I even entered the store. We purchased a sofa and it started pilling after having it just 6 weeks. Many of phone calls to the store and to corporate too many people we have had to talk to. Let's just say we are on our 4th set of cushions and I was told it was happening due to the type of cloths we must be wearing. This has been the worst experience we have ever had. This is by far the WORST store!!!!!! Our delivery date changed at least 6 times. However, they never once called to tell us! We had to call them and find out every time!!!! Horrible customer service. Then they told us the we were waiting for two pieces of the couch we ordered for our basement and that the couch for our living room was complete. So on the morning of Valentine's Day, we woke up and put our old living room furniture on the curb. They delivered our entire basement couch and NO LIVINGROOM!!! So now we have NO FURNITURE in our living room. When we called, we were promised that our couch would be delivered by the 8-week mark. Our couch is still not there!!!! We ordered the furniture on Christmas Eve. Today, we called and Brittany, their manager, was SO RUDE!!! We spent $3000+ on these two couches and as an "I'm sorry," she rudely offered to refund us $150. What a joke!!!! Not once have they apologized to us!!!! So today we cancelled our order! Ollie was a very nice and helpful salesperson, no problem with her at all. However, went into the store on Glen Burnie, Md. on March 15, 2018 paid in full, and as of today, May 6th still no furniture. Many promises and dates as to it's arrival though, was told Friday that the furniture was in route from Pa. was told today they were still waiting for two more pieces arrive, which is the same story I've been given for a month now. The young lady that gave me that information said"well that will be within the 8 week delivery contract date" although the actual delivery could take up to 2 additional weeks! They were going to charge me $761.00 to cancel the order. Does this mean that they will give me the $761.00 upon it's arrival to my home since they would have charged me that amount in the first place to cancel?? We did not order a houseful of furniture just the bedroom furniture minus the bed. After reading most of the reviews, which I wished we had done before shopping at Ashley Furniture, We will never make that mistake again. They should pay their customers a late fee because they sure don't hesitate to take your minwhen they make the commitment. On the 11th week now, said furniture would be delivered by 7:00 called for an updated ETA now hopefully by 7:45 pm. Ridiculous! read more

My wife and I recently bought a new home and received a 60% off mail promotion so we decided to give Ashley a chance. We looked at the furniture we wanted online before hand so we had an idea of what we wanted to purchase, with our purchase price in mind. We walked in and the sales associate was very accommodating, we made her aware of the promotion we had received and she helped us locate the sectional we liked. It wasn't available in store only in the warehouse. She also said they would honor the online price of the items we chose because they were cheaper than those priced in the showroom. We were also shown a dining room set that we were ready to purchase immediately. Unfortunately, it seems we will have to take our business elsewhere. We were under the impression that we would be able to use our 60% discount on the items as they were priced. Not the case. Just as we were ready to purchase, the sales associate said "I have to check with him". I assumed she meant the store manager. She spoke to "him" for a few minutes and returned giving us an outrageous price. They would not honor the online price with the coupon we had received. Instead they used the original prices of the furniture which was priced at almost double the price quoted online with the 60% off discount resulting in the furniture price exceeded the online sale price by nearly $1,000. (We could have saved the trip and just ordered the furniture online without the 60% in store discount and it would have been cheaper than what we were quoted in the showroom.) After all this the sales associate tells my wife and I that they would wave the setup and deliver fee which was supposed to be INCLUDED with the 60% discount already. This a classic case of BAIT & SWITCH. Buyers beware. read more

Let the buyer beware! If you are looking for new furniture stay away from the Ashley Homestore in Glen Burnie Maryland. They have the worst customer service ever. We ordered new bedroom furniture on August 6th. We were advised that it would be 2-6 weeks for delivery. We received a call on August 29th advising us that our furniture was in; delivery was scheduled for September 9th. The night before the delivery, we were advised that the chest of drawers was damaged and they would have to order another. When asked when we would receive the chest of drawers, we were advised that it would be 48 hours before they would know when delivery could be scheduled. When the delivery was made on September 9th the dresser and one of the night stands were damaged. The delivery person called to their dispatch to let them know there was damaged items. The dispatch person tried to get me to accept damaged furniture and they would send out a repairperson. I told her no that was not acceptable, why would I pay for repaired furniture. When I asked when we could expect to receive the replacement furniture I told it would take 2-6 weeks to receive the replacement. I left a message with the store to call us regard the unacceptable time frame for delivery. I received a call back from Eloise,I was not aware at that she was from "corporate office", who said she would get the replacement pieces transferred to the warehouse. She advised that the warehouse was conducting an inventory September 12-14 that they would not be able to ship during that time frame. I was very clear in my expectation that since they had the replacement furniture in stock that delivery should be made on September 16th. I was advised they would call on September 12th regarding the delivery. Well September 12th came and went with no call from Ashley. I called Eloise on September 13th and spoke to a different person. I did not catch her name but it sounded like Irma. I explained the situation to her and was told I was just going to have to wait. I expressed that we need to start talking about some discounts since I took a day off from work only to receive 25% of the furniture we ordered. She advised that any discounts would have to come from the store manager and really they don't have to give us anything. She added that if I turned my paperwork over I would see that they 8 weeks to make the delivery, there is nothing on the paperwork to indicate they have 8 weeks to make delivery. Well after that, I searched the web for the telephone number of the Ashley Furniture Corporate Office. I was shocked to learn that this was a licensee store and there was nothing they could do. Upon further investigation I discovered that the licensee had an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. I called the store the following day only to be told we would probably be looking at the week of September 23rd for delivery. Since I was not getting any satisfaction over the telephone, I decided to go into the store to speak to the manager. Of course the manager was not there. I was advised by a woman who identified herself as the finance manager that she would have the manager call. Two weeks later, no call from the manager. We received delivery on September 23rd. The top drawer to the chest of drawers was damaged. The delivery dispatch convinced my husband to agree to accept it and they would order a replacement drawer. When I came home to inspect the furniture I discovered a crack in dresser. I called the store to advise them of the damage. I was asked to send them a picture, which I did. I called the store on September 28th to find out when we can expect to receive the replacement drawer and what they planned to do about the damaged dresser. I was advised that it takes 5-7 days for the repair service to contact us. I expressed my extreme displeasure in the total process. I explained that this was not good customer service. I asked to speak to the store manager. I was told the manager was conducting an interview but they would have her call. Six hours later, still no call from that manager. That must be some interview process. I called the store again only to be told the manager was busy with the Mid-Night Madness Sale. The manager finally called the following day. I expressed my displeasure with the poor customer service. The long and short of it she agreed that it was not acceptable but there was nothing she could do about it. She said since we accepted delivery there was nothing she could do about. We have to go through the repair process. This review is a mix of good and bad but for me the bad outweighs the good and prevents me from returning. In April I went to Ashley Furniture Home Store in Glen Burnie to purchase furniture for my son to b completed new house. There was a sale going on and the prices were very reasonable. I purchased a 4 piece bedroom set, a mattress, two couches, an end table, and a coffee table for a total of almost $6,500. The salesman I dealt with was great! No hassle and not pushy. I was promised free delivery. Great! The promise of free delivery included no disclaimers. Simply free delivery. I was scheduled to close on the new house at the very end of May. In mid May Ashley called and everything was set for delivery on time except the coffee table. I could either have everything delivered a scheduled except the coffee table and thy would notify when it was available. The delivery arrived on time and was set up without hassle. I have had the furniture for a little over a month and no complaints. In mid June I received a telephone call from Ashley advising the coffee was ready and I could either pay $150 for delivery or have it delivered to the Glen Burnie Store. Now remember I was promised free delivery and I certainly do not control the Ashley Furniture supply chain or logistics. The reason for the delay in the coffee table I do not know and do not really care. I was at work at the time of the phone call and did not have time to argue about the delivery charge so I said deliver it to the store and assumed i could work it out with the store. Yesterday I get the call from the Glen Burnie store that the table is there and ready for pickup. I spoke with Marlene the manager on duty. I explain all of the above - 1. I was promised free delivery with no disclaimer. No where on the sales contract does it state that you only get 1 free delivery. I could see paying for the second delivery if it was my fault such as I was not home when the delivery showed up at the agreed upon time. 2. The reason the coffee table was not ready is certainly not my fault. 3. If anyone is the aggrieved party it is me. Ashley has now had my money for 2 1/2 months and I still do not have the table. Needless to say Marlene explains to me that Ashley is not willing to budge and does not stand by the signed sales contract we have. Maybe not the biggest issue in the world. I will go up this weekend and get the table. But that will be the last time I set foot in an Ashley Furniture Store. I simply do not understand the business model or thinking on this. They do not deliver the purchased item on time, promised free delivery but want me the customer who has already been inconvienced to pay for the 2nd delivery which is only needed due to their fault. When I was in the store in April I had spoken with the salesman about theatre style couches and recliners for my basementmovie room. Ashley had some decent selections and I had planned on going back to look around Labor Day hoping to find a sale. This would be a $3,000 - $5,000 purchase. Not now. If you are even remotely thinking about giving these people your business, please do yourself a favor and DON'T. You will regret it every minute for the next two months or more waiting on your furniture delivery that is supposedly "In Transit" from some unknown location. This nightmare began on May 20, 2017. I was going back and forth between this store and another one up the street and Cory gives me a deal I can't refuse on a living room set which according to him would be 2-6 weeks and a mattress set that would be 7-10 days. about 20 phone calls, and weeks later I realize that was all a bunch of BS. I had to physically go into the store, and basically DEMAND some iota of customer service to make up for this debacle from the manager Dustin. They gave me free shipping on my mattress set which I finally received. Fast forward two months, multiple calls, and the same story its been extended, should be here next week. I finally put myself out of my misery and cancelled this order. Buyer beware of the cancellation fees! They will tell you its 30% but its really 10%. I was bluntly reminded of them by Brittany when I came into the store. Instead of exhibiting the customer service that a manager should, she could care less that I had no furniture after eight weeks, made no attempts to find out where it was, or find out what she could do to save the sale. All she was concerned about was if I was going to return the Omaha Steak gift card I got for the sale! UNBELIEVABLE. I had to GO OFF in the store for her to even have the wherewithal to call a higher up to get it cancelled correctly. PISS POOR customer service! Thankfully whoever she spoke to heard me going off and waived my cancellation fee, and dropped the gift card return idea. They will sell their firstborn to get the sale, then give you their butts to kiss when they drop the ball on their end of the deal. Two whole months wasted, and no living room set. NOT ONCE did any "Manager" ask me what they could do to make this situation right. The sales process was great. I purchased a chair and lamp. The chair arrived in about two weeks and I am pleased so far. I was then called about the lamp order. I received two phone call voice mails from two different customer service reps with conflicting information and rambling messages. I had to return the call to get actual pick up times. Next, I picked up the lamp in a sealed box. When I went home to open the box, the shade was missing and I immediately called the stores several hours before closing. I was told that someone would return my call about the box missing the shade. Two days later, I have yet to receive a call back. In the mean time, I have ordered a shade from another online vendor at an unplanned $70 extra out of my pocket. My time and money can go elsewhere and I definitely not inclined to go back to the Glen Burnie location. Also, the customer service desk associates need better training as well. Apparently, my issue was not passed along AND I SHOULD NOT TO HAVE TO CALL BACK FOR SERVICE AT THIS POINT. This is not a store I can recommend as well. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would! Absolutely horrible customer service does not even begin to describe this place. We spent 2k for a couch 3 months ago, through Jason, which was delivered damaged. They told us it would be fixed once all parts came in, which were "back ordered". So now that all parts have come we have tried calling multiple times a week, and are told the manager, tony, will call us back, which never happens. If you ever need to speak to a manager, they are always "at lunch" (at 11am) or "on break". They only care about getting your money, after that they are worthless. Now we are stuck with huge couch cushions and slabs of fabric, and a damaged couch. I do not even see how they would fix the couch with the "parts" they sent us. Save yourself the hassle and do not order from here!!! It is definitely worth paying the extra money elsewhere for good quality furniture. read more

This is actually a negative 5 stars if that is even possible. My entire ordeal started two months ago. I went in to the Glen Burnie store and picked out a couch and a king size mattress. Was told I needed to wait for delivery because the bed was not in stock. So I was told it would be about 10 days. 10 days came and went and I called the store and they said its coming in about a week. A week goes by and I call them and they said its still not in and they will call me when it comes in. Now its a month out and I never received a call so I called them. The desk told me, "oh no one called to tell you that this mattress is a discontinued model". So I was told to come back in the store and pick another one out. Went in and Dustin the store manager said he would take are of everything. He showed me another mattress in my same price range and I was happy. He ordered the new mattress. I waited another 10 days and it still wasn't in. So another week went by and I called and I was able to schedule the delivery. Mind you this entire time they would not delivery the couch until the bed came in. So they brought everything out only to find out that Dustin the Glen Burnie Store manager ordered a Queen size instead of a king size. Dustin told us to use that queen size mattress until the King comes in. I thought that was really gross and said I wouldn't want to take back a used mattress. But he said we do it all the time. We'll we never did use it. It has been propped up in our dinning room now for another 3 weeks. Dustin claimed when the new mattress comes in , the delivery people will deliver us our new mattress and take the queen the same day. We'll I found out that was a complete lie!!! I received a call from a young girl telling me they can not order the new mattress until they pick up the queen mattress. So we schedule a pick up and was told our delivery slot was 9am - 1pm. They also said they will call 30 minutes before they arrive. This did not happen. They called 9 minutes out and claimed they stayed there 30 minutes. They did not. My husband was there and they never called to get in our secured building at all. I called and complained and they refused to send someone back out and I had to reschedule with the store. This place needs lessons on customer service!!! Every time I called I was transferred to another store. I was told it takes 48 hours for a corporate manager to call me back. That that's their policy. At this point I want nothing to do with this business ever again! read more

On July 8, 2017 I went in and purchased a bedroom set and a dining room set from sales associate Jeffrey Smith he was very pleasant at the time of point of sales. Mr Smith stated that I would recieve my furniture on July 14, 2017. We set up a time frame between 10 am and 2 pm. First the delivery was almost 2hrs late and then when they finally arrived they had a kid that look to be maybe 13 helping with the delivery. The furniture came already assembled so I don't know for sure if it was new or not. Later I realized that they sent me the wrong dining room table . I called Ashley store and spoke with customer service and they stated that they don't know what went wrong but they would look into it. Mean while the delivery people tried to get me to keep the chairs and just return the table. I examined that one of the chairs was damage so I refused and returned the entire dining room set. Later I spoke with Mr Smith and explain all that went wrong. He stated that he would speak with manager and get back to me. As of today July 18, 2017 I still have not heard from Mr Smith. I called again to the store and some one at the front desk told me that my table had to be ordered and it should be in maybe on Thursday. I am completely upset because I had planned on having a dinner party but of course I had to cancel that and I still don't know when I will recieve my dining room set. On my sales reciept it clearly states that I cannot recieve a cash refund only store credit. I had intended on furnishing my new place through Ashley but I will never make another purchase from any Ashley Furniture Store again! read more

It's sad to say that most of the negative reviews are not of the the Ashely furniture store, but of the ridiculous distribution company they use to deliver the furniture. Mid Atlantic Furniture Dist. in Middle River MD was the company I am most dissatisfied with. The purchase of the furniture was fine, however anything past that was horrible. The 3 men that delivered the couch said that they could not get our 3 pc sectional up the stair case and that it would not fit. They determined this without the use of a tape measure or attempting to move the furniture through the front door. They then asked my wife for an additional $60 in cash so that they could hoist the couch up on to the second level deck. We agreed to have them put the furniture in the garage for me to evaluate when I got home from work. After an hour and a little help from my 8 month pregnant wife, we were able to move the sectional upstairs ourselves. After calling and speaking with at least 4 customer service representatives, the only thing they could offer us was a $50 store credit. So now we have the distinct pleasure of being able to spend $50!! We might be able to get a napkin holder! or a pillow. If you buy their products, save yourself the $150 and move the stuff yourself. read more

I could not agree with the other reviews more. I am mad I had to give them one star. The words to describe this establishment are: Dishonest, discourteous, disorganized. I was lied to by the staff on the date of purchase when they estimated my delivery date as "before Thanksgiving." Had that been the case I would have received my furniture after two weeks. It is now December 6th and after multiple calls, and a constantly shifting "ETA for the last 3 chairs" (dining room set) to be delivered to their store, I still have no idea when I will receive my furniture. Everytime I call the store, the customer service rep named Lisette acts as if she is bothered to answer my call, obviously does not care that on multiple occassions she has given me a different date, and cannot wait to get off the phone with me having provided me zero answers. The fact that she is allowed to do this indicates management is poor. I do not believe it is her fault, but management of sales and delivery is obviously poor. I cannot warn you enough...this place is AWFUL. If I do one thing to service society in my life, it will be to prevent you from having the same TERRIBLE experience I have had here. horrible!!!! please do yourself a favor and stay away from this store!!!!! i would give this store a negative if it were possible. worst customer service i have ever encountered! the left hand doesnt know what the right is doing! the couch i got was nice but god forbid if you need any type of help/service from them. it started with them ordering the wron piece of the sectional. they wanted to charge me to come back and pick up the piece and deliver the correct one. crazy. i decided to pick it up myself. i ordered a replacement cushion... 6 months later after numerous calls and visits to the store i finally received it. by the way, the managers continually told me the cushion was "on the way." when i picked that cushion up i ordered two coverings as extras. that was september... its now jan. 11 2016 and i still have no idea where they are. i called numerous tiumes and once again i was told they are on the way.. ohh yea, they ordered the wrong pieces at first. nothing new... i spoke with the manager ( josh ) today and he is possibly the worst customer service rep i have dealt with in 20 years. he is extremely rude, arrogant and clearly is a hot head. he is in the customer service field so he should be able to deal with customers that are upset, especially those with more than enough reason to be that way (me). he clearly is in the wrong employment field. i just dont have the words to describe how bad of an experience this was. it is safe to say that i will never ever buy from ashley furniture in glen burnie md. read more
