This location deserves less then one star. Many of the sales reps and even the managers fit the greaseball salesman stereotype (disheveled and unprofessional appearance ) while also reaking of ciggerette smoke. There is no customer service here. You can forget haggling on prices. I actually had a MANAGER tell me he couldn't give me a 25% discount on a tv stand ($668) after I had spent $4,000 on furniture 6 weeks prior because "People will line up like Lemmings over the July holiday and buy furniture for only 15% off" We had purchased a new leather sectional and a bedroom suite (6 weeks prior) and are not impressed with the product. Dimensions are not as advertised and the quality is poor and delivery takes longer then they promise. Ashley's was never high end but 6-7 years ago it was good quality for the price. The salesman are like vultures trying to sell you everything and at first are sweet and nice and once you buy stuff you will see the real people. We barely walked in the door when "Kam" a salesman stopped us. He asked if he could help us and we said we were just looking around. He starts going on and on about the special discounts going on. I said thanks, but we were really just wanting to walk around. He then proceeds to ask what type of furniture we're looking for or what room of the house. For the third time, I assured him, we were just there to walk around. Unbelievably, he then asks what our names are, and says his name is Kam and that we need to tell anyone that comes up to us that he's helping us because they are commission based there. We literally turned around before making it 10 steps into the store and left because he was so incredibly annoying. He muttered something under his breath as we turned around and walked out the door. If the store manager is reading this, "Kam" was a short abbreviation of his full name, but I didn't catch the whole thing. Indian or middle eastern guy. Could use a LOT of training. read more

Me and my wife went into the store and received great service by the sales representative Bud. That was a good experience but it went down hill after we decided to buy some couches. We were charged for the full amount up front when they told us several times we wouldn't. Then they said it would take at least 5 business days to recoup our funds. They didn't offer an apology or discount. Just an oops. So I'm out thousands because of their mistake. They have terrible service after they get their sale! read more

I recently purchased merchandise from Ashley in grapevine TX. I've been going back and forth with them on my entertainment center that was changed out four times and I lost days off work because of them. I've agreed to replace the unit with something else and once again I'm having to lose another day from work making it 5 days total because they are not trying to co operate with my schedule. They have not giving me any discount for the inconvenience nor has anyone from the company reached out to apologized. This is the worst company to purchase merchandise and deal with. We bought a queen sized mattress and a coffee table on Sept. 3, 2018. Had a super pleasant shopping experience, thanks primarily to Larry Box. (Thank you, Mr. Box!). He was the gentleman who greeted us right as we walked in, asked if we needed help, and then led us to the area where we tried out different mattresses and compared prices across different brands. He wasn't pushy, and he was focused on making sure we got what we needed by asking the right questions. The bed is intended for our 16-year old son, whom Larry engaged in conversation throughout the process. We were ready to check out when my husband spotted a coffee table, and Larry once again helped us narrow our choices and directed us to a better deal. He filled out the paperwork while we had coffee and cookies. He then explained that due to a back log the shipping will be delayed by 1 month. I was disappointed in this however I was glad that he told us in advance. The reason why I didn't put down 5 stars is due to the shipping delay, but Larry Box gets 5+ stars as our superb Retail Sales Associate :-). He made the entire shopping experience feel like more like a neighborly encounter. About a week later, we got a beautiful Thank You card from him advising us of the shipping status, and thanking us for doing business with Ashley Furniture. I went to this store looking for a chest of drawers I found on the Ashley website. I was immediately greeted by Sam who asked me if I came in for anything specific. They did not have my particular chest of drawers in the store but he showed me similar ones that resembled what I was looking for. Sam helped me order the one I wanted online and offered to honor the online promotion. He was very helpful. He took me to the help desk where Cordelia took over and processed my order. Both of them offered great customer service and were very helpful. I will definitely be back to this store! read more

Overall, the entire Ashley chain is a joke...a very sad joke. Anyone reading Yelp should go to the National BBB website and see the hundreds of complaints. Nothing Ashley has is produced in the USA. All of it is limited runs and discontinued with no notice whatsoever. I purchased, for example, one nightstand. The next month, needing another, not only did the store say they never heard of it (!), but after calling several stores and get the same disclaimer, I called the corporate office. There, I was informed that they have no master inventory listing. All of the products are produced in 3rd world countries such as Vietnam and Malaysia. I purchased an $1800 bed set - which came slightly damaged. Their repair solution? Send out a guy with furniture crayons and permanent markers!!! Thank goodness I did not buy the warranty they were pushing so hard on - because the entire "collection" was discontinued 3 months after I purchased it and the warranty would have been void with absolutely no recourse - as stated in the very fine print buried on the last page. There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Run away from this place as fast as you can and while you will pay a lot more for Broyhill, etc. as least you have a real company that stands behind their products. read more

The Customer Service at this store are very unprofessional, beginning with the Branch Manager, Troy. We ordered a set of bar stools in January. Four of the bar stools were delivered in February, which we are very happy with BUT the set is not complete. We are waiting for 2 more. The 2 barstools not delivered were due to be in-March. I went to the store to ask about delivery, the branch manager says the delivery date is now pushed back until June. Why wasn't I notified about the 3 month delay in delivery. I cannot return the other 4 barstools-BEWARE-ALL SALES ARE FINAL, even if you do not have a complete order. The Branch mgr, Troy informed me of my two choices: I could cancel my order (why would I do that when I already have half of my order, which cannot be returned) OR just wait until my June 3rd delivery. Now, we are just stuck with an incomplete order and hopeful that we will get the rest of our order in JUNE! I will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! You get what you pay for! read more

We bought a complete living room set from this Ashley store, and will probably not do so again. The furniture is fine, save for a scuff on the back of the couch that was there when we unwrapped it, but our salesman had no idea what he was talking about. He sweet-talked us into buying some protection plan, telling us that if LITERALLY ANYTHING happened to the furniture in the next 5 years, it would be repaired or replaced at no charge. If we don't use it, we are refunded the money for the Plan at the end of the 5 years. We specifically asked if it included pet damage, since we are still training our dog, and he said yes. He said anything, including things that are our fault, are covered. We just received our protection plan paperwork in the mail, and he was dead wrong. The protection plan only covers basic breaks, SOME stains, SOME rips, chipping, things like that. But the list of things not covered is too long to list here: Damage in delivery - nope. Guess we have to just live with the scuff that happened before we even owned the furniture. "Mishandling", fire, theft, acts of nature, insects, leaks, pets, perspiration, lotions, dyes transfer, medical incontinence, normal wear and tear.... nope. Not covered. And if I want to cancel this protection plan? 10% of my purchase is my "cancellation fee". Great. Not that these things are EXPECTED to be covered in a protection plan, but when I was SPECIFICALLY TOLD that ANYTHING is covered... I'm a bit miffed that I was lied to. I hope that salesman enjoys his commission from me for that protection plan, because he will not be receiving any more from me ever again. read more

We were given multiple conflicting stories regarding the status of our refund and were informed that a representative would follow-up with us. I'm so disappointed and wish I would have seen these review sooner. We bought a couch and a chaise and the chaise was delivered damaged. One leg was broken and the other had been sealed onto the base with some sort of glue. We called within the hour of the deliver and their customer service said it had to go through their repair process because I accepted the delivery. I wish I had seen it and refused delivery. It's now been weeks and I've had to wait for two service appointments both whose service men told me the base plate of the chaise was not put together correctly. I had one issue - the color of the sofa and loveseat that I purchased was alabaster. Alabaster is a shade of white, right? Well, the sofa that was delivered was very tan. Thankfully they allowed me to choose a different sofa & loveseat and didn't require me to keep something that I would have been very unhappy with for the rest of my life. I live 2 1/2 hours from Grapevine and was visiting on the weekend of June 24th. I purchased bedroom furniture and office furniture in the amount of $3,500. The salesman told me that the bed was back ordered, but the desk would come in before the bed. He said it should arrive by the 16th of July. So I paid in full and in good faith put a deposit down for a trailer where I live and took the day off. Then I got a call on July 11th saying it would not be in tell the beginning of August. I can not get the deposit back on the trailer so I am out that expense. NOW the it is the desk that is causing the problems and the bed will arrive before the desk. I don't think they know what is going on! Then the salesman has the nerve to basically call me a liar. He told me he would never give anyone a specific date their furniture would come in by. This is the worst store ever. The customer service is not even close to 1 star. My husband and I got an invitation from ASHLEY saying that if we walked in that particular day mentioned in the card, we will be eligible to get a discount of 50-58% off the LIST PRICE. So, we went to the store to buy furniture for our new home. We spent about 4-5hours to select the sofa set we like, dining table and a bed. We were told that one part of sofa set will not be delivered on time, but we will went ahead with the order. While checking out, the store associate who helped us said we are not eligible for the said discount, because the discount wont be on the list price, but the reduced prices.???????!!!!!!!!????????. My husband and I went blank and didn't know whats going on. We showed him the invitation which said, discount is on the LIST price. When we walked in, that's what was told. But while check in out after 5 hrs, some other story came up. We asked the store associate to show us where in the invitation it says the discount is on reduced prices when it clearly says LIST price. He said its not listed, but he was asked to work that way. We seek ed Assistant manager's help who provided us with the worst ever treatment. After 5hrs of our shopping, he said "will you even purchase any furniture?" I asked him to show me where in the invitation it says discount is on the reduced prices. He said he dint have time to read all that and explain us. This is definitely not right. Be aware!!! Horrible quality and awful customer service!! Bought a sectional and dinning chairs from Ashley, the sectional is made out of 3 pieces that slide out whenever we sit on it and its cushions slide down!! As for the chairs the buttons on the back of 3 out of 6 chairs fell off only 3 days of use !!! after calling them and talking to extremely rude representatives, they replaced them with same type of chairs... ofcourse after few weeks the buttons on the new chairs fell of too!! SO we were back to square one! talked to them again, they then decided to send a tech to see if what I was saying was true, I would have the choice to exchange them with some other kind of chairs (since the ones I have are of a bad quality). The tech told me that the chairs and the Sectional were UNREPAIRABLE. 2 days later Ashley calls me saying the tech did not find ANYTHING WRONG with the chairs nor sofa but they will order new parts for me or I would have to keep them as is !!! They also said it was NORMAL to have defected furniture from several DAYS of use! They are horrible and they are PROUD of it!! read more

i give this store and ashley's overall 0 stars. after getting married i went into the store to find us a bedroom suit. just me and one of my girl friends. my husband was at work. our sales person was so friendly and i really wanted him to get the sale. on the other hand the manager was horrible. after going round and round with them on the prices (they were having the buy a room get a tv free, and we didnt want the tv but 2 nightstands instead of one and they werent making any sense with the numbers) after i decided what i wanted and went to go pay, our sales person was writing me up and took off like 5%, its the cash pay price or something, came to like $40 off. well first off before i paid i wanted to look at the prices and the reciept and they didnt like that i wanted to double check their work. something was wrong with it so i asked the manager something and he started yelling at me and said "you werent suppose to get that other discount but you did!!" it was like $40 off of freakin $2000. (in their words "its real solid wood", get to that sentence later!!!) ill pay the stupid $40 if its that big of a deal. he kept going off on me saying i was in the wrong. made me cry, and i wanted to leave the store. but on the other hand i wanted the salesman to get the sale becuase he was so extremely nice and yelled back at the manager when he disrespected me. he got called into the managers office and i thought he was going to get fired. so i ended up buying it, talked to another manager and she told me to call the corporate office and talk to them and that the salesman isnt going to get fired. well i called corporate and they didnt care at all!!!! they told my husband that when we go back that they will call ahead and make sure they give us special treatment..... seriously? thats it? you let you company be ran like that and expect people to come back? at that point i had said that i didnt want to go back there ever again. well 2 weeks later we went and picked up our furinture at the distribution center. got it home, and the bottom of the headboard was dented it. the mattress covers it up so we didnt worry about it cause we didnt want to deal with them again and wait longer for our bed to be put together. about 2 months later my husband layed down on his side and the side railing split in half..... no solid wood... partical board!!!! really cheap partical board! so we called them to replace it and they said it wasnt covered because we had said at one point when we called that he flopped on it. i dont care if he flopped o it. if i pay $2000 for a freakin bed i should be able to freakin jump on it everyday! we went round and round with them, told them it doesnt matter and it hasnt even been 2 months since we got the product, maybe if was 2 years later but still, suppose to be solid wood. anywho they sent out one and the delivery person put it together. .... a couple months later, the other side did the same thing. and i litereally sat on the bed. my husband and i weigh about 160 each.... definaly should be doing this. gave us hell again but sent another piece out. after that we had to rig our bed so that no more piece will break. instead of it nicely sitting on the boards like it suppose to with the supports in the middle, we have to cut some of it to make a metal frame fit so we now know that nothing, hopefully, will happen again. we had bought ashley couches from a friend the year before and they never used them in their extra living room and about 6 months after we had them the bottoms started caving in. conclusion...... ashley furniture is very low quality, no matter what they tell you or what you see, the middle of it all is crap. and all the store that we have been in has had horrible customer service... along with their corporate office!! read more

We purchased a sofa, two chairs and a protection plan in October of 2013. One of the chairs now has a whole in it. We were told it was not covered by the protection plan. The store put us off by saying they would look into it and see if there was something they could do. The email said, "give us a few days." It's now been over a month. I last requested an update 10 days ago and have not received a response. We have been happy with the furniture as well as other pieces from there, but this experience has negated all the positives. Went to Ashley Furniture in Grapevine on Sunday, July 20th and ordered 4 complete rooms of furniture. We were told that the delivey would be in 2 weeks. 4 weeks later and we only have 2 beds with rails and a dresser....nothing else. We have made several calls for ETA on the delivery for the remaining items only to be told that they don't have everything in stock. The "salesman" should have mentioned the items that were "out of stock" and when they would be delivered. Spoke to Shawn, the store manager who said he is doing "everything he can to get the furniture delivered". I stated that if we had known that it would be a month or longer we would definitely have gone elsewhere. In my 30 years of dealing with furniture stores, Ashley Furniture takes the lead in having the WORST "Customer Service" ever! Meanwwhile, my nephew is sitting in his 1st apartment, 4 weeks later, with only the 2 beds with rails and 1 dresser that they delivered. Shawn apologized but never offered anything to make it right. He said that the partial delivery will be made on Thursday. The order is still not complete and the bed that was ordered will not be in until September! I will NEVER use Ashley for my home furnishings nor will I recommend them to anyone. I feel sorry for anyone who is anxious to receive their new furniture from this place. Unfortunately, the 1 star rating is not what I would have given but this site made me select one. Negative stars is what would be given in this review. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM. They do not work with the customer on delivery. When we purchased our sectional we were told that we could have it delivered in the morning or afternoon when they call us. Well the call came and we can NOT ask for any time, they tell us when we can have it delivered, we can not request when. We purchased our sectional on 1/4/17 and have to wait until the 28th to have it delivered. They said they have Wed. 1/18/17 available and we asked if it could be delivered in the afternoon and they said no. Some people have to work. I asked when do they stop deliveries and I was told 9:00pm, again I asked can it be delivered in the afternoon and again told that they can not schedule a time. So the only thing I could do was accept the only Sat. they had was the 28th. Sorry but will not recommend this place to no one. When I seen it at Nebraska Furniture Mart I should have went with my gut feeling and purchased it there. So if your looking for furniture I would definitely purchase from Nebraska Furniture Mart they care about there customers. Just my opinion. read more

I am not one that enjoys spending my 3 day Fourth of July Holiday shopping for furniture, but we needed to furnish our new home. The previous day we went to Ashley located in Alliance Town Center and shopped for several hours. We purchased a bedroom set, mattress and living room set. Mark was very helpful! During the evening, my wife decided she wanted to exchange the mattress. The following day we went to Ashley located in Grapevine. It was another shopping journey for me, but my wife was excited, browsing and selecting a new mattress and dining room set. In fact, she changed her selections a few times with our sales person Parker, and actually 10 seconds before I was about to sign the credit card invoice. I want to thank Parker and Pam (Customer Service/Billing) for exhibiting above and beyond customer service and patience with us!
