My very first brand new furniture I bought when I started adulting was a Sleigh Bed Bedroom Set from Weir's from their Knox location in Dallas. They have been my go-to for my adult life. I am not going to say I have bought every piece of furniture that I own from them, but I will say I have regretted it every time I have not. It's hard to beat old fashioned customer service and a place that puts value in doing business with them. That is why I was saddened to hear they were closing their stores. I'm writing to share my deep disappointment with the experience l've had with Weir's following what began as a great in-store experience. While the showroom and sales staff were excellent, everything went downhill once the items were delivered. I purchased a table, chairs, and two bookshelves -- most of which arrived damaged. The delivery team showed no care in handling the furniture. They were careless enough to tear a chunk out of my front door mat while moving heavy pieces and didn't even acknowledge it. One delivery person tried moving oversized, heavy bookshelves alone while the other stayed in the truck, which clearly led to more damage. They even allowed trash to blow out of the truck into my yard. One delivery person told me that the bookshelf back legs were likely to crack due to their size and weight and that a service technician would be sent out to fix it with wood glue. This is completely unacceptable for bookshelves that cost over $1,000 each. After waiting months for a replacement, the new bookshelf arrived with a cracked back leg and mismatched hardware. When I asked for a refund and explained that I didn't want the delivery team back in my home due to the damage they've already caused, I received no apology-only a request to email photos. The delivery team also refused to take the damaged item back when I requested it. l've lost confidence in Weir's due to this experience. The lack of respect for my property and the poor handling of my furniture has completely ruined what should have been a positive purchase. I absolutely love the customer service in the store but heir delivery service is a complete different story. Customer service goes a long way and their delivery crew could really use some training. Weir's does not stand behind their furniture. We bought two recliners. We bought the extra warranty. When we had problems they asked for images. Said our problem wasn't covered. They refused to even contact the warranty company. Then one recliner broke. They said I could bring it in. It weighs 75#. I'm that old! They said they'd pick it up. That was $100 to pick it up and bring it back, each way. Buy anywhere else. Not Weir's. read more

We very much enjoyed our shopping experience at Weir's. We had purchased some items years ago from Dallas location so, of course, it was one of our first places to look this time around. The sales floor is low pressure and offers some of the nicer furniture manufacturers. After looking at a few stores, we returned and purchased a new sectional sofa. We have been very pleased. We stopped in hoping to find something more modern but did end up finding 2 club chairs with modern touches for a fraction of the price of another place we were looking at. I never post reviews on Yelp, but my sectional was just delivered and Im in my happy place. I recently moved to Texas from California, so I was constantly on the hunt for good furniture. I saw Weir's delivery truck on my street one day so I decided look them up online. Stuff looked good so I went a step further and visited the store with my husband. Boy are we glad we did because the website doesn't do it justice. The two level store is FILLED with great quality furniture at GREAT PRICES. I was shocked to see a huge beautiful Bernhardt leather sectional for under $4000! We eventually settled for a gorgeous large chenille fabric sectional, also at a great price. Delivery took about a week. The staff were pleasant, helpful and not pushy at all. If you're debating on braving COVID-19 to visit their store, just do it. It's worth it. read more

We have been customers for many years and recently purchased new living room furniture from Weirs. I had a very pleasant experience with the salesman and discovered my decorator also used him in the past and liked him very much. I ordered my sectional sofa and a custom chair. I received a call that the furniture had come in and scheduled the delivery. My husband greeted the delivery guy and the first words out of his mouth were that he would move three pieces of furniture in exchange for three pieces. There was not a greeting other than this so you could clearly see he wasn't in good spirits. We said that was perfect because we had two chairs and a sofa we needed moved to the garage. The delivery guy then recanted his statement and said he would not move the sofa. His explanation did not make sense so I said I'd like to call the store. He said he'd call his boss instead. My husband spoke with the boss who agreed three pieces for three was their policy so he asked the delivery guy to move the sofa as their policy stated. This created an even more angry energy from the delivery guy who then said some things to us that were not very nice. It made us extremely uncomfortable so after he left our property, we had a customer satisfaction call from Weirs. We reported the unacceptable behavior and requested that this person not return to deliver the custom chair. Fortunately the chair was delivered by a different person without any problems. It was just disappointing that this man made us so uncomfortable over something that should have been a pleasant experience, and we never heard a word back from Weirs regarding the incident. We are very aware it's hard to find a good employee.This particular employee made it clear he had worked for Weirs 17 years and we were not their only customers. Wow! Almost every room In our house has something from Weir's. Highly recommend if you're in the market for something that looks great and will last. They also have patio furniture, but I think it was a little pricey for what it was. But those might be southlake prices. read more

Weir's is a great place to find great quality furniture, decent prices (no super bargains, but fair) with helpful salespeople. We bought two identical sofas for a big room in our house that needed serious help, and for $1,000 each, that was cheaper than most of the non-pressboard furniture we could find. Sales guys were helpful (omni-present but not pushy) and they were ok with our kids trying out the la-z-boys while the wife and I selected fabric. The popcorn and candy shop is a nice touch, and they have a great outdoor section that does have some bargain basement pricing if you catch it right. We'll be back as we need additional pieces - oh, and delivery to Fort Worth was all of $65 bucks. Beat that! read more

My husband and I have never owned a matching bedroom set. We have the opportunity, and I've been doing research for weeks! A lot of people were recommending Living Spaces, west elm, and Wayfair. Since I knew I really wanted some quality pieces, I decided to go with a local company that has been trusted for a long time. I called and spoke with Dorthy about the pieces i was interested in. She assured me they were in stock and we could have them delivered by earliest the following Wednesday. That was impressive since most of the other furniture stores were estimated weeks to months depending on availability. The next day we came in and met with Dorthy who made everything so easy. We purchased the pieces and the white glove service was amazing. Our guys even assisted with how the placement should be in our size room. A++++ service all around. I would highly recommend. I would suggest calling before hand and getting with a sales person before just dropping in. Everyone in the store was nice but I was able to build a rapport before the visit which made everything so much smoother. read more

Very poor customer service from Rafi at this establishment. As a woman shopping alone (husband on a 24 hr shift as a firefighter), I really do not recommend this man as your salesman to anyone. He spoke very condescending to me and abruptly rude for no reason telling me what I wanted was wrong when he was given incorrect information. I wish I would have read the real reviews on Facebook before making the trip here. Shop somewhere else or if you go, use anyone else but him and bring a man to speak up for you! Very poor. I ordered a chair and had it scheduled to be delivered on Jan 26th. I had an automated text for delivery and it was to the wrong address. I called the store and spoke with someone that it was wrong address and they said they corrected. Two days later a got an automated voicemail that said when it would be delivered and it was still to the wrong address. I called back again. I spoke with someone and they said no problem we've got it now corrected. The day before my chair was supposed to be delivered I get a call from them again that says we're sorry we have to reschedule, but we have the wrong address. I called for the third time. They then deliver chair and I wasn't home and they charged me $99 for not being home when they delivered. No refund. read more

So excited to have found reasonably priced by bed set and dresser. My mom always told me to come to Weirs but I never believed it would be such great quality and prices. The Southlake store is HUGE with the outlet on the second floor. It is a bit overwhelming if you aren't there for a specific item. I suggest going in with a mission. Every person was so helpful, trying to point us in the right direction and piece together a vision from my mind. Weirs also has the largest iron/metal bed selection in store that I have seen. I have been to so many other furniture stores and they have maybe one in stock. I wanted to be able to see the bed in person to make sure the quality was not cheap looking. Every piece of furniture we have bought over the last 11 years has been solid wood and quality built in that it will last for ever. The furniture from this place is worth more but you pay less for it and you will never regret it. After deciding we needed a new sectional, we stopped at Weirs in Southlake and was helped by salesperson, Ron. My wife and I found a sectional that we liked but we were told that it was a special order from the factory. Ron told us it takes between 8-10 weeks for them to build the furniture and have it delivered. Having never ordered furniture like this this before we were somewhat apprehensive. Ron said that it usually takes around 8 weeks and up to 10 weeks if they have to wait until the truck is full with furniture heading to Texas. We agreed knowing that 10 weeks would be the maximum time we would have to wait. Fast forward 9.5 weeks and no word from Weirs furniture about our delivery time. We call and talk to them and this is where the story changes. Now they say that the 8-10 weeks was just a guesstimate! They really have no delivery date they can give us! They say the factory is still building the furniture and that once it's built, then they have to wait for the truck to be full heading to Texas. A far cry from what we were told when we purchased the sectional. So after getting absolutely no where with Ron, my wife calls the store manager, Tom Norman. She asks Tom what our options are. He says we have 2 options... Either wait an unspecified amount of time for our sectional or pick out something off their floor in exchange. He has NO delivery date, only maybe a few more weeks?!?! According to my wife the manager was somewhat rude and didn't seem to care. He told her if she cancelled now, that we would lose 25%. So apparently when they tell you 8-10 weeks max., that is actually a guess on their part. It seems to be an open ended delivery time that you just need to wait and wait and wait for UNLESS you want to lose 25% of your purchase price. What a joke! We will NEVER shop at Weirs again! There is too much competition to treat customers like this and just leave them hanging. So in summary what the salesperson tells you means nothing, he is just saying what he needs to say to make a sale. And Weirs management doesn't seem to care about it's customers at all. After moving into a new home, we began furniture shopping for a sectional. We worked with Daniel at Weir's in Southlake and he was great throughout the buying experience. He provided us with the information that we needed to make a choice and we got a fair price. The trouble came in after the deal was done. Made to order furniture has a hefty lead time; they estimated 8-10 weeks. In the past, I'd gone with the bargain shops where the quality is lower and the turnaround time is fast. We wanted quality this time and we waited. Around the 10 week mark, the call came in to schedule our delivery. We set a date and eagerly waited. Instead of a couch, we received another phone call. The manufacturer had used different colored fabrics on the two halves of the sectional. The provided solution: another 8-10 week wait. That's what making it right looks like? Either Weir's doesn't hold their vendors accountable or, worse, they do and they pocket whatever compensation the vendor provides. Either way, it was an awful experience. Once the sectional finally arrived, the installation team was awesome and we love it. This was the first purchase of many we made last year. Weir's had the opportunity to earn a lot more business and, instead, it all went to Stacy's in Grapevine. Thanks to the extra wait time, almost all of the Stacy's furniture arrived within a week of the sectional that we'd ordered over two months earlier. read more

Special call-out for Lynette... First off, how can you not appreciate the value you get at Weirs? They have great quality pieces at reasonable prices. We have found them to consistently have the best quality of all furniture stores in The Dallas area. And save yourself the trouble of negotiating, because the prices are the prices. Just know that you're getting good value. On our last purchase we were looking for a piece to complete a furniture set so called around to all the Weirs locations. However inventory showed them to be out of stock and we were told that the style was a factory close out. Lynette at the Southlake location actually called the store buyer for us to see if they could order it. She called us back Monday morning to let us know that yes, we could order the missing piece. The Plano location, where we bought the rest of the set didn't even offer to try the buyer. They instead tried to get us to buy something else. And the person at their Knox Henderson location pretended to call the buyer and called us back saying we were out of luck because the style was a factory close out. Moral of the story, your experience is only as good as your salesperson. So go to Southlake and ask for Lynette if you want someone who will make a difference and will work hard to ensure your satisfaction. read more

Do not stand behind their products. DO NOT BUY A MATTRESS THERE. Would give 0 stars if there was an option. All stores that sell mattresses other than Weir stand behind the products they sell. Weir will sell you a NEW mattress with a 0 day comfort warranty when most stores have a 30 - 100 day trial period. So if you buy a new mattress at Weir you're stuck with it from day one regardless how it feels. Mo the manager will tell you sorry, that's our policy. Sad they sell products they don't stand behind. Go to any other mattress store to buy one so you get a real warrant not a - sorry you're stuck with it. Wil never shop there again so I hope their sale was worth it for them. read more

Poor experience with delivery. I made it very clear in the beginning when I started looking at furniture to purchase that I travel. I explained my days at home and my hours of availability for delivery. Once furniture was bought and paid for Weir's said they only had certain windows to work me on for delivery. The days Weir's picked were convenient to the store not to the customer. I had to make several calls before a day was settled on. And without my knowledge Weir's was going to charge me a delivery fee. I was told that I would be the first stop on a Saturday morning. First stop is at 8:00AM. Weir's showed up at 9:35AM. Not even a curiosity call to let the customer know of the time change. Delivery is not on the same page as the store where the furniture is purchased from. Love the store but hate the hours. Closes early on Saturday and not open Sunday. We can't get there during the week. It's just almost impossible to shop here without getting my sitter to show up early on date night and rush ourselves through the store. We have shopped here numerous times since we moved from Chicago and needed more furniture to fill our new Texas-sized house. I recently fell in love with a sectional that was too big for my space - only to have my pleasant and helpful but in no way pushy saleswoman let me know I could not only custom order the pieces but also the fabrics. I spent more time than I will admit on here picking fabrics for the couch and cushions. My saleswoman checked in on me and offered her opinion when asked but never rushed me or was imposing. I was quoted 8ish weeks for delivery on my custom piece. Imagine my excitement when my new couch arrived in less than 6 weeks! Delivery was scheduled on a Saturday without any issue! The delivery guys were fast an efficient and clean and professional. My couch looks even better than I imagined in the store - we have had it for a few months now and it is standing up wonderfully to our family. We will definitely be back for more pieces! read more

Nice furniture with reasonable prices. I've purchased from Weir's for umpteen years when Knox Henderson was the sole location. They have a great selection and a great clearance section, too. I've seen some reviews where people didn't get their special order items when they were estimated. If you special order at just about any furniture store you are at the mercy of the manufacturer. I always ask if it's in stock and try to only buy what they stock themselves if I want it quickly. I've always had great sales people and out of all the years I've shopped there I've never had an issue with anything at all. They are dependable in my opinion. Love the little country store! We've been to Wier's before several yr's ago for our Master Bedroom and the service was great. This recent visit went way beyond that. We walked in looked around and was greeted by Lynette Lunsford. We discussed our situation with her letting her know that we would not have the funds until the sell of our house funded and she understood. We showed her what we like and suggested that we try a particular sofa and chair that would be substantial for us and could be upholstered like the sofa and chair we originally showed her. She then took us to the back to look at swatches because we did not like the pillows and the fabric on the accent chairs and didn't mind how long it took to pick out what was right for us. She provided us with paperwork on the pieces that we wanted with the dimensions so we could see if the furniture would work in our space. Lynette by far is one of best customer focused sales people I have encountered. She is so sweet and she listens to your needs. She herself gets 5 stars and anyone who is out looking for any type of furniture go to Wier's and ask for Lynette....you will not be disappointed. read more
