I ordered a dresser, 2 night stands and a sleeper sectional. It took 4 weeks to be delivered and when delivered the sectional was not the one I ordered. After long conversations with customer service and mixed instructions, the delivery team took the couch back. I requested a refund and then started to get requests for pictures of the couch to process the refund! I called back and explained I no longer have the couch. I have had to call 4 times! Each time I was told the cancellation was processed and I would get my refund within 4 days. It's now another 2 weeks, I'm getting texts to schedule delivery of the SAME wrong couch! Then I received another automated notification that my delivery would now be 2 days later (on a date I instructed the store would not work). Horrible experience at Ashley HomeStore. We were told we had to pay for ottoman delivery and that couch delivery was "included," even though we requested pickup. Later, we got texts to confirm ottoman pickup in Illinois. Calls to the store were useless; I was constantly cut off, told they'd "talk to a manager," and never got a straight answer. When I asked to speak to a manager, they acted like it was impossible. We finally got the couch delivered and arranged ottoman pickup ourselves, but never got the ottoman delivery fee refunded. If I could give 0 stars I would. They only care about your money and once they have that, they will screw you at every step of your process. They will schedule their so called " white glove delivery" which is a complete joke. They gave me a 12 hour delivery window 8-8. Took the day off for the delivery. No delivery, no update, no apology, nothing. Just wasted an entire day of my time and could care less. Told them I would give them one more chance the following day to deliver, and another wasted day. The worst! Do not buy your furniture her and especially don't waste your money on the so called extended warranty... they LIE about the coverage. We've gotten nothing but the run around from the day getting the furniture. It's way over priced, not worth the money and definitely not worth the headache. We got movie theater seats and regret buying them. The "leather" did something where it looks like we spilt something on it but we weren't even downstairs when it happened... now they say they don't cover that AFTER the salesman said they cover normal wear and tear, accidents etc. but found out today non of it's covered.. oh, and the motor stopped working in the back potion, so it only lays back, can't sit in it. We've only had this set 2yrs and we take care of them. Please... don't shop here, spend your money at a better place with better employees. My husband and I decided to check out Ashley Home store on Saturday afternoon because we were looking for a new mattress. We walked in and one of the sales guys approached us and handed us a sale flyer. He said if we needed anything, just let him know. My husband and I walked towards the mattress area. Decent selection of mattresses from S&F, Temperpedic, Sealy and Ashley's own brand of mattresses. We were simply looking at what they had, when all of a sudden a guy approached us and started talking to us about the mattresses. I am well aware that Ashley is a high pressure sales store, but holy cow, this guy wouldn't leave us alone! My husband was getting quite upset, I was politely talking to him, hoping he would give us a few minutes to discuss amongst ourselves. I'm not one to get mad, but this guy just wouldn't leave us alone! We found a mattress that we were ready to purchase with cash, but we took our business to another store due to how smothering the sales guy was! I purchased a living room set with tables back in Oct of 2025. I sat down with the salesperson (who was great btw) decided on a date where ALL items could be shipped together instead of separate shipments. This date was 11/19 - I was told someone needed to be home for this to take place. I took this day off work so I could be there for the delivery guy. I got a call about a week before the delivery to confirm my shipment. When I called, there were now 2 shipment dates so I called customer service to get a better understanding as to why. I was told that now part of my order would be delivered on 11/19 and another part would be delivered on 12/10 and then ANOTHER delivery on 12/24! I said no way - I was not missing multiple days of work when I set with someone and scheduled delivery. I was told they do not information their customers of ANY delays. I told them to go ahead and cancel the entire order. I had already got rid of my other furniture and I needed furniture BEFORE the thanksgiving Holiday. I was told this was cancelled and I went on about my day. The morning of 11/19 - I got an email saying my delivery from Ashley was X amount of stops away and to ensure someone is there for delivery. I quicky called back to customer service where I was told this order was never cancelled. I then requested for it to be cancelled again and was told it was "now" cancelled and to decline the delivery. This is what I did. A couple days before 12/10 I got another email to confirm my 12/10 delivery. I was so frustrated at this time that I called AGAIN and was told this order was not cancelled and was scheduled for delivery. I told the lady I was really frustrated with this company and could not believe they operate this way. I wanted the order cancelled and the only way I would agree to the 12/10 date is if I received a discount on my order to match the discount that was happening in the store (about 40% off all items) to which, she agreed. We went through each item, figured up a new total and she gave me a confirmation code. Guess what never happened- I never received the actual discount. I looked at my Ashley Credit Card account and the FULL amount has officially been posted. I will NEVER purchase from this place ever again. I have called customer service around 12 times and requested to be transferred each time to sales where NO ONE ever answers the phone or calls me back. I received one call back and was asked to call the number they called me from and when I did, it said "number could not be dialed" I will never recommend this place to anyone and will never shop here again. but HEY ASHLEY - if you wanna finally reach back out to me, that would be GREAT!!!! read more

6 years ago or so our first experience here we bought 2 love seat glider recliners w/consoles 1 electric 1 manual and still have them no issues! About a month ago went back and purchased a 60 inch TV stand w/fireplace insert and blower with AWESOME assistance from Steve Weinberg who is a down to earth our kind of person no pressure and really relaxed atmosphere. It looks great at the house. Went back today 7 29 23 looking for and purchasing a Temper Pedic adjustable bed base and threw a Stearns and Foster mattress on it only after requesting Steve Weinberg knowing he was working. my husband and I came in and spent three hours there with the sales lady. we picked out a living room furnature set, and we were financing one couch in my husband's name, and the other one in my name in order to get it all financed. once it got passed the two hr mark we kept saying I had to work tonight and I had a 40 min drive home, and still needed to eat. we never dreamed we would spend the whole afternoon just to get paperwork done. She kept saying "just a few more minutes " and had to go talk to her manager back and forth because she wasn't sure on a lot of the financial questions. so, at the 3 hr mark we ask for her to call us when she got it ready and we would come back after we ate. she then said "well I can't work on it without you here" and went to walk off again to go ask her manager another question. so my husband just ask for my id back and said we were out of time. she suggested we just get sandwiches and eat them on the way home. she just wanted to get the sale done, but wasn't accommodating to our time. we've bought from Ashley before without all the hassle. so, fast forward to our ride home and we called the "call center" because you cannot just call the store, and she went ahead and put in half our order AND had it set up for delivery as well. my guess is so she could hurry and get her commission off the sale. we told her we would pick it up if it would take longer than Wednesday, so she set it up to be delivered Thursday knowing we said we didn't want just half the set and didn't have anymore time today for her to figure out how to do her paperwork. we will NOT be back to Ashley Greenwood store. read more

First Time Buyer. I had heard both good and bad experiences. I gave it a try for myself. I am now joining the ranks of never ever again will I purchase from Ashley. It's been four months. I have a damaged table (it took over 3 months to be delivered) and currently am on my porch waiting for the replacement that a text told me over an hour ago would be here in approximately 9 minutes. I called the toll free number twice, waited on hold for over 10 minutes each time, then was disconnected. The other piece of furniture still isn't even scheduled for delivery. I feel I paid way too much for so many broken promises and delays. I could get those for free from family. The only good thing I can say about Ashley in Greenwood is the Operations Support Staff is great, but they don't sell the product, they don't make it, they don't ship it, and overall pretty much take the brunt of Ashley's overall extremely bad service and subpar products. I'm sure I'll get a comment here something like please call us, we want you to be happy. Poppycock. You've had over 4 months to do that and chose not to. Shoot...Big Lots has better furniture and service than you do. I'm not sure you can do much worse. Please don't accept that as a challenge as I'm still on my porch waiting for that replacement table and still need that side table that might be delivered by Christmas, if I'm lucky. They will take your money but won't do a thing for you if something goes wrong. we bought battery packs for two couches we had these batteries and decided they weren't something we wanted. Tried to take them back they ref to accept them. They were $556.00 bucks. Told me I had to return them to the company. they could resale them we didn't use them. Now you have to email the company which they haven't responded as of yet. so disappointed at how I was treated and the fact they could care less. DO NOT SHOP THERE. If anyone is considering Ashley, just know not to believe their salesperson. I ordered furniture on 3/20/21 and was quoted no more than 12 weeks. I was considering purchasing from two different companies...the only reason I elected to order from Ashley was because the salesperson seemed honest and swore 12 weeks was an overly conservative estimate since they manufacture their own furniture. After several months of calling, I was told tonight that it's 2023 estimated delivery for my last piece. Note, it took almost 20 weeks to get 3/4 pieces. I would've rejected partial delivery if I had known the last piece of my furniture is almost 2 years out. On my last inquiry (5 minutes ago), the lady told me 2023 and then hung up on me. Our shopping experience: The shopping experience wasn't awful. I do wish the salesman wouldn't have followed us around like a car salesman but I get it. I am frustrated that he didn't reiterate the fact that when you choose to pick-up rather than paying extra for delivery you are responsible for bringing it back should there be any issues. Pick up: My husband borrowed a trailer to pick up our new couch from the distribution center. He said the only issue was that it took a while for them to get the couch. When the worker brought it to him they were just dragging it around. My husband asked if there was a good way to move the boxes and if he would need a furniture dolly. The employee told him that wasn't necessary because they have cardboard and are wrapped in plastic so you can "just drag them around." Assembly: When we got the three pieces of the couch home we unloaded directly into our garage. The next day we unwrapped the pieces and brought them into our living room. The instructions for assembly are vague. When we were attempting to put the legs on we noticed there was a tear in the bottom corner as if it had been drug across concrete. We then checked the other corners and found the second (of three) piece also had the same kind of tear. The only piece not damaged was the small corner piece of the sectional. Customer service: We called the Greenwood, Indiana location where we purchased the couch. They told us we would have to call the corporate office when they opened on Monday. The lady we spoke to at corporate was extremely rude and unhelpful. She basically said, our policy states that if you pick it up you have to take it back. When I told her I was unhappy with the service and I wanted to return the sofa she said, "our policy states all sales are final!" I told her I'd like to speak to her supervisor. Her response was, "okay I'll put In a request for my supervisor to contact you but they will tell you the same thing I'm telling you." She was so rude! I immediately called the store where I purchased and explained my frustrations. The guy I spoke with said, "I understand it's frustrating but that's our policy." Overall experience: I will NEVER purchase another piece of furniture from this company ever again. I'm also encouraging everyone I know to avoid shopping here. Customer service says a lot about a company and when you treat your customers poorly you will lose business. So instead of sending someone out to pick up the couch they damaged my husband has to take time off work to return it back to the distribution center. No mention that I already told them to cancel the order. Sp. today is Monday. At least the money has been credited back to my card. Ashley Furniture sent their standard automated response to my poor review with no attempt to contact me. No surprises here. If they were really customer focused, this would not have gotten to this point. The worst experience in furniture shopping ever. First of all I'd like to say the sales people were very nice and helpful. The problem is with customer service. We ordered the furniture October 15 and it didn't come in for two months but that is what it is in these times. The problem come when the sectional was the wrong sectional. And the dresser and mirror didn't come with any hardware. When I called customer service they refused to do anything about it. After continuing to call back many times between me and my daughter they finally agreed to do an exchange. After a month later, the new couch was on its way but it got delayed. After an anxious day it finally did come. However, the couch and ottoman were broken and the table we also ordered had no hardware . I refused to accept the entire order. Now we are in hiatus. I would not recommend Ashley Home Furniture to anyone! Update: 2/9/23 we scheduled new furniture to be delivered on February 8 but when I contacted the customer service they said it was delayed again and now won't be here till February 15 before i can schedule a delivery date. I did receive part of the hardwood for the dresser and mirror. Yes only part of it. One bracket was not included. More to come. Update: 2/17/23 delivery day and for a change we got a few things we ordered, until the sofa come off the truck, it was the same broken sofa they tried to pawn off on us on the 9th. Exact same one! I've been a customer of Ashley's for years. Most of my years were in northern Indiana with good service. Living here now, I bought a living room set from Ashley's here in Indy and the quality and service was terrible! My furniture was delivered in two separate delivery's, sofa first and chair and ottomans several months later! Within an hour of receiving my sofa the stuffing under the back top cushion was falling out from the bottom. I hadn't even sat on it yet! When I called (same day) they wanted me to wait for parts to come in and then for me to schedule someone to come to "repair" it! First, it couldn't be "repaired". The zipper was broken way under the bottom of the cushion where the cushion meets the back bone of the back of the sofa. i Kept missing calls to "schedule repair" and finally just called and talked to a reasonable person (finally!) we agreed it just needed to be replaced. This, it would turn out, would be the least of my problems with Ashley. i finally received my chair and two ottomans. I live alone, I'm an average size woman, and I rotate my ottomans each week between the chair and the sofa so as to get equal wear and tear. Within 3 months one of my ottomans was becoming badly misshapen. The top of the ottoman was shifted to one side like the top of a muffin pushed to one side. Plus, both ottomans were not level on top. When you put a tray on top to use like a table, the center would sink in and the tray would need something additional under it on one side to level it. But, back to the misshapen ottoman. It took about a month and a half of contacting Ashley, sending pictures, explaining the problem over again several times, etc. In the end, remember, I only had these ottomans for a few months, in the end they decided the misshapen ottoman was from "normal use" and washed their hands of it! So now, I'm left with hiring someone to repair the misshapen top to my ottoman plus adding more stuffing to the center of both ottomans! So, more expenses paid towards a problem Ashley should have solved immediately considering everything. (I wasn't even going to ask them to add stuffing to them. Just to replace the one ottoman) I'm done with Ashley! At least here in the Indianapolis area. They don't stand behind their sales, they are very hard to contact, hard to get someone who will really help and they just pass you off to the next person who passes you off to the next person as they leave you waiting for weeks to hear back from them. In fact, they never got back to me. I had to call them every time! But, they must have made a decision on my problem long before my last call, because the last time I called them they had the answer "normal use" "your on your own" right away that time! Wherever you buy your furniture, standing behind their product, good service and communication are much more important than the actual item you buy. This table delivered on 8/10/22. We open the box to find the draw and leg were broke. We called immediately and was told new parts would be sent. It is now 1/4/23 and no parts have shown up. We ordered a new bed and nightstands on July 5th 2020. After 4 times being put on the delivery scheduled only to be delayed our order was finally delivered on 9/23. However when the delivery guys opened up the bed side rails one of them was split along the length of the board. The guy said we would hear from someone within 24-48 hours regarding ordering and delivering a replacement part. Six days later we have heard absolutely nothing. I ordered a living room set more than 2 months in advance and 3 days before it's delivered I get a call saying it's going to be a week late, ok fine, later I call back to get details about a new delivery and am told one of the pieces won't be in for another whole month and am told "I don't know" when asking why I wasn't told this sooner when I put my order in so far ahead of time. Went in to see how they could make this right and the man working explained that the company is TERRIBLE at communicating with customers and told us not even to trust the new date we were given. We completely canceled the order and went elsewhere. I will never attempt a purchase here again. Don't do it. Don't get your stuff here. We ordered a couch and 2 recliners in June we have been promised our furniture on 5 different occasions and here it is January 1 and we have been promised it will be here in another 2 weeks. It's at the warehouse, so they say but they still won't deliver it. So quick to get your money, take that order but they don't produce the goods. read more

We purchased a chest from the Greenwood store which happened to be on clearance not due to damage they said, due to making room for more items. We chose to take it with us since it fit in our car. 6 days later we went to the Castleton location to purchase the night stands. The chest was substantially cheaper at this location. We spoke to a nice gentleman who said just contact the Greenwood store these things happen all the time and since it hasn't even been a week, they will make an adjustment. We called the Greenwood store and spoke to a lady, we asked for the manager, she asked what was the issue, put us on hold and came back and said I've spoken to the manager and sorry we can't do any adjustments. I asked to speak to the manager. A gentleman by the name of Franklin got on the phone. I explained to him what happened and he basically said since you took it with you, we can't make any adjustments. He continues to say clearance items which are damaged can't be adjusted. I explained to him that it wasn't damaged (which now I'm wondering if they lied). He said, "what the Castleton store told you is wrong, we are independently owned" in a very rude manner. If Franklin is the manager at this store, I would not let him deal with the public. He is terrible at customer service. I will never purchase from them again the way we were treated. read more

The store, sales staff and delivery personnel were polite and professional. However, outside of them their services, customer service staff and warehouse are deplorable and that's being generous. After making multiple calls and emails, I still haven't received all my furniture correctly. In addition the furniture that was delivered was missing hardware and electrical connections to plug in the wall. At which I am still waiting for the parts to arrive. Their staff are unable to pass accurate information to different departments. Their warehousing operations preparing furniture for delivery are practically incompetents'. The do not check the furniture prior to loading on their delivery trucks to ensure quality or correctness. read more
