I can not express to you how terrible my experience has been with Ashley's. I purchased a sectional on April 17, 2023. When the sectional was delivered it was missing the legs for the ottoman, missing pillow, the wedge had a stain on it, corner of the loveseat fabric is worn, and the seams on a cushion is coming apart. We tried to refuse delivery even at that time and were not able to. We talked to the customer service and they said someone would be calling. We have yet to hear from anyone with a resolution. Three appointments have gotten canceled from the service department. I just got the legs to the ottoman Saturday 5/20/23 and that is only because when I called Friday I told them to come pick the couch up. I assumed that was what they doing on Saturday when they arrived. But no, they once again refused to take this $5300 torn, incomplete piece of crap from my home. Ashley's is claiming they don't do refunds but I have not even been given my order in its entirety 32 days after purchased! I'm unsure as to how this can even be considered a refunded when I've yet to have been given the product I was promised upon purchase. At this point, I am DEMANDING someone from Ashley's furniture come get this tattered incomplete overpriced piece of garbage from my home and either replace it with EXACTLY what I purchased or return my money. This is the worst display of customer service I have ever dealt with and if my matter is not resolved immediately I will be accelerating this issue to the highest possible extent of the law. read more

Where do I start... our dinette set came on time as scheduled... broke. After calling customer service for a week I FINALLY got through only to spend 48 minutes on the phone, be shuffled around multiple times and told that I needed to email pictures that the delivery guys already sent. I then proceeded to go to the store and thought I had the issue resolved. Fast forward... I had 3 delivery dates that came and went without an actual delivery, nor any communication. During this time I sent 2 emails and went to the store 3 times. Finally... on August 14th we had a delivery scheduled for my sons dresser... to no avail they come and repair the table but had no clue where the dresser was. Yet again... off to the store I went. While apparently there is a severe furniture shortage due to COVID... I would be understanding of that however apparently not one person has been taught to communicate with their customers. I will never set foot in this store again. Thank God the ordeal is finally over. Ps. I almost forgot to mention that customer service hung up on me twice. I purchased a bedroom set from Ashley furniture. The drawers do not fit in correctly. After about 5 or 6 delivery attempts and repair attempt it wasn't made right. I advised them that if they took off about 20 or 30 percent of the total bill I would call it a day they took off 381 dollars and said that was 20 percent. Once I realized it was not they wouldn't cancel the deal. This, even though the transaction hasn't gone through yet. Now a leg has fallen off of the chest. They are refusing to do anything about it. This, by far, is the worst furniture store that I have ever dealt with. My wife and I purchased a desk and bookshelf in July. We were not told until the end of the transaction that it may take a 1-1.5 months to receive them. After numerous calls we received the bookshelf in September, but it was missing one of the shelves. We were told the shelf would be delivered in 2-3 days, we are still waiting on that shelf three months after ordering it. We have made at least 8 calls to the Greenwood store, the sales rep that sold us the furniture, and the corporate customer service number. The customer service is terrible and they continue to tell us that we will get the shelf on Friday. Each Friday it never arrives. Customer service stated that they were going to discount us 15% due to our troubles, and that has never been credited to the account. I am fairly certain I will never see that credit and potentially the shelf. I do plan on going to the Better Business Bureau and filing a complaint and suggest that no one purchases from Ashley Furniture. There are many more reputable businesses out there that will deliver on their promises, that is not Ashley Furniture. On a positive note, the desk did get delivered over two months after we ordered it and numerous calls requesting the status. read more

Received a call from the escalation team. I was told there's nothing tthey can do. The representative said it is all due to the manufacturer. So, we are without furniture until late February. This will be 3 months Just not good business. They are apologetic, but "there's nothing we can do". After another push out on the date of delivery into March, I called the person listed on the better business bureau website. Over the past two weeks in two deliveries we have all of our furniture. I wish I could put 0 or 0.5 stars for the Ashely Homestore in Greenwood but that's not an option. Look at my Google review posted 2 months ago to get the full story. Here's the gist... purchased a full sofa sleeper January 2021. Paid for White Glove delivery around June 2021 but sofa was DAMAGED. A technician came out and said fixing it wasn't a good option. Ashley Store promised a replacement. I waited. And waited. Finally, approximately one year later, they offered to refund for 30% of the purchase price with a check since I paid cash. Fine. Fast forward to today, 2 months after I agreed to the refund check. NOTHING. No contact, no check in the mail. NOTHING! I finally called customer service today and the lovely agent said the store submitted the refund INCORRECTLY! WHAT!?!?! Please pay attention to the dates here folks! Purchased Jan 2021. Delivery June 2021 but damaged. Replacement promised but never came. 30% refund May 2022 - never arrived. Now almost August 2022 and still no resolution. DON'T SHOP AT THIS CHAIN!!! My wife and I would have loved to have said that we really enjoyed our sleeper sofa and accent chair from Ashley. However, we ordered it in June, 2019. The delivery was scheduled for August. We have not received any items yet. We are now told that we will be receiving our furniture at the end of September, manufacturing delay 4 times, we are expecting our first child and she's literally due any day now and we still have no sleeper sofa and need it ASAP. My wife has given Ashely one last chance to get it to us by the 25th even though the baby will be here by then and we'll be struggling with accommodations. If they do not get us to us, we will be requesting a full refund and never returning to Ashley Furniture. So disappointed and furious Update 9/14/19: we returned to the store and they promptly cancelled our order without any issues. Because of their efficient service, we may decide to purchase from Ashley in the future. However, i cant say that we aren't super disappointed. There seems to be an overall lack of communication. If manufacturers cannot make the product in a timely manner customers should be accurately advised. January 25th 2020, I went into the Ashley furniture store in Greenwood and purchased a King set bedroom set complete with dresser, chest, two night stands, headboard, footboard, and slats. Approximately three weeks after picking the furniture up from the warehouse (February 19th, 2020) I started getting bites and itching on both legs and arms. I overlooked it initially thinking that it may have been spiders from my home being that it was a newly built home and with the movement of the ground it may have disturbed the insects. After about a week or so more I figured that it may have been something more being I was still getting bites and that now my arms and legs were getting swollen from the bites. I went to the Doctor March 11th, 2020 and the doctor asked if I had recently been in contact with bed bugs. Being that I had never seen a bed bug nor been around them as far as I knew I said "no" I was told once I get home to check the bedding and furniture. That I did. I immediately checked the bed and saw a bug. I then called Ashely Corporate office and was told to allow the store three business days, after they send out an email, for them to contact me back. A week went by and that call never came. I then tried to call every week from March 19th, 2020 until May 3rd, 2020. I also called my salesperson Billy Binder. He then informed me that the store had been closed since Mar.17th 2020 during COVID and that the store was open again (May 5th, 2020) I called Terminix and upon inspection it was reviled that the whole king size bed is infested with bed bugs. We were told that because of the temperatures and the fact that the eggs of bedbugs take 1.5 to 2 months to hatch that we were more than likely sold the bed containing the (eggs) bugs. As Terminix was in my home. I called Ashley home store corporate office AGAIN (May 5th, 2020) So I went to speak with the manager in person, however, when I did he immediately told me that he has spoken with his boss "Shannon" and she denied everything. She even told him to tell us that if we had a problem with what she said she would tell us herself. Ashley has been nothing but the absolute worst! Refusing to acknowledge the problem, refusing to accept responsibility, and refusing to exchange the contaminated bedroom set. They even went as far as to say that there warehouse where I picked the furniture up from is cleaned every month. This experience has been nothing but $3000.00 full of headache in a brand new home, with all brand new furniture. This was the last piece of furniture that I bought for my home and it came into my home infested! Not only will I not being purchasing anything EVER from Ashley. I will be taking the appropriate steps to make sure that they are held accountable. read more

We ordered our couch on February 17th and were given the expected delivery date of March 8th. On March 6th we were told the couch would be delayed until March 15th. The greenwood store was kind enough to wave our delivery fee because our delivery would be late. On March 12th my husband got a call that our delivery date would be delayed until March 22nd. I called the headquarters office back and spoke to someone who was incredibly rude. I asked to speak her to her manager or supervisor and she said no one was available but she would put in a request for them to call me back. On March 15th I called the headquarters office again and explained my situation and that a supervisor had not called me back. Apparently, no request had been submitted. The lady then put in a request. On March 19th, I called the headquarters back and asked why a supervisor had still not contacted me a week later. I was told she would put a request in and while on the phone, this representative hung up on me! I called the greenwood office and was told they would look into it. On March 20th, my husband was informed that our couch has been delayed and will be delivered March 29th. I STILL do not have a couch. We have doubled the expected delivery time. I still have NOT been contacted by a supervisor. Do not buy from here unless they have the couch you want in the store ready for delivery! read more

We purchased a tv stand mid December 2021 and we were told our order was ready to be picked up in February 2022. When we got to the distribution center our item was badly damaged and we did not take it. The reorder was to arrive in another 6 weeks but I didn't hear anything from Ashley at that time so I called. Another delay to mid July. It's now mid July and no word from Ashley. After a call to them, I learn the order is now expected in September but that it could be delayed again in September. I will not be making another purchase from Ashley and do not recommend them if you prefer good communication about your order or would like your items within an acceptable timeframe. Awesome experience!!! We went to the Ashley furniture in Greenwood, and from the moment we entered we were greeted warmly and by a staff ready and willing to help with all our needs. We were looking for a bedroom suit, our salesperson was Dallas and he far exceeded our expectations! He not only knew a lot about all the pieces, but what he didn't know, he took the time to find out. Trust me when I tell you it took me a long time to decide, but he waited patiently for me to decide between two sets, and never looked bored, or irritated in any way with my indecision. He made sure he gave us all the discounts he could, and got us the financing we needed. We left very happy with our purchase and our experience! We bought furniture for our nee home worth thousands of dollars and were promised a delivery date and the delivery of our furniture kept getting pushed out. I wouldn't use this or any other Ashley Furniture store in the Indianapolis area. The sales people are nice, but their warehouse SUCKS. I ordered a table and it was delivered broken. The guy knew it was broken and tried to maneuver it so I wouldn't see it, but I found it after he left. There was a huge chunk of the table taken out and a drywall screw put in place. I called and ordered a replacement. Cleared my calendar for the date of re-delivery, and that appointment got canceled with no reason given about 36 hours before it was scheduled. I tried to call customer service and find out why and get it rescheduled and the lady literally hung up on me after being rude. I wasn't even mad at that point, but I am now. I spent over an hour waiting to talk to this guy Shauntes who supervises the customer service reps, only to be treated rudely by him as well. And got no relief. I went into the Greenwood store and only got moderate relief. I still have to wait for the new table to replace the BROKEN table they originally delivered. If you work, don't bother. These jokers don't care about your work schedule. And they will deliver defective products. I will never shop at any Ashley again. read more

The sales associate I worked with Leigh Okamura was amazing, patient and provided great recommendations for a table for my dining room and carpets. Have had the poorest customer service ever! You can not call the store direct it goes to a call center and no one will help you! I bought furniture first of October and still do not have it.Our salesman showed us on paper and in a text that we should have it by end of October first of November . He will not even try to help us now or will he even have anyone higher than him call us. They did deliver a dining table with no legs or hardware to put it together and a chipped bar stool.I also received a foot board and head board for our bed but no rails or base. So they were going to send the legs to the table in the mail and have a service put our table together and when they came two weeks later we only had one leg and no hardware to even put table together .When I do get a hold of someone at call center and they send a message to the store I never get a call back. Plus if you order furniture and they deliver anything you can not get your money back! It is in the fine print in the contract! They get your money but now no one will help us!! read more

I had a great experience at the store.....we moved so we bought several pieces of furniture from the store. The dining room table came damaged (wood damaged from delivery). Then our outdoor dining room table was a nightmare. Several of our chairs and table came with slices on the arms from the delivery people opening the chairs with an exacto knife. (I have pictures the same day of delivery of this damage) and they re delivered everything. Then when they fixed the table, they chipped the table. So they had to replace the table. Due to their delivery issues I had to hold a full day from work 3 times for delivery and the time to work with the "response" team. It's been less than 2 months and we never have been able to sit at the table due to the weather in Indiana. I went out to cover the furniture and a piece of the chair has broken off. I called Ashely and they said it wasn't a manufacture defect. We have no trees, no animals, nobody has sat on the table and we have a high white fence around our back yard. I work in retail and realize there is a fine line between manufactures defect and a consumer damage. And I believe this clearly is manufacture defect based on the clear cut along the seam of the metal. Metal shouldn't break without usage and less than 2 months within delivery. I would NOT recommend Ashley furniture based on my experience with the quality furniture.....especially their outdoor furniture. For the price you pay at Ashley's I thought I was paying extra for a better quality product but I was highly mistaken. I had a set from Target that lasted several years with no problem. We purchased a dresser from Ashley that the drawers stopped closing after 2 weeks. I have made several calls to the Greenwood store and have been promised call backs from the manager and this has never happened. I even spoke to an assistant manager who guaranteed he would have the manager call me after he got off the call he was on. I called the customer care number and was told after the furniture is in your home that there is nothing they can do! I am shocked that they do not back their furniture when something goes wrong in 2 weeks and that no one from the Greenwood store in capable of at least a phone call. The salesperson was awesome. What has not been awesome is the after care. The sofa purchased came with a defect. The delivery team stated they would report it and didn't. When I called the store in Greenwood, of course they did not know about it. I reported the issue and waited, and waited for the part to be mailed to my home so that we could call the store again and have them call corporate for someone to call us to schedule a tech to come out and switch out the part. Whew! When the tech came out, he had no idea how to remove the defective part let alone put the new one in. He didn't even have the correct tools to do the job! Thank God for my brothers-in-law and husband showing him how to get the part out and loaning the guy tools to get the job done. I am now dealing with trying to get customer service to put in a request to fix an armrest and creaking noise in the sofa. My husband reported it on Friday to Neisha. Someone from corporate was supposed to call back that day. Surprise, no call. Called that evening to GW store and they had no record of our call to them earlier in the day. Shelby stated she would text Neisha to find out if she reported the issue and that someone would call us that evening to let us know something. Surprise, no call. Our sales rep was kind and informative! The staff was very helpful and even gave us email addresses to coordinate with them if we had any issues after we purchased 6k in furniture. To my surprise I was unable to get ahold of anyone at the store or have any of my emails returned after we left the store. We had one delivery show up 30 min earlier than the designated window, then left before we could get there as we attempted to leave work early to meet them. They even stated they would wait for us to arrive then just left. One of our dressers arrived and to my surprise I opened the drawer and the bearing fell off. Thankfully we purchased the extra protection plan and it's being replaced. I have never purchased brand new furniture before but boy has this been an experience. Calling customer service takes forever and I've been hung up on while on "hold" more times than I can count. Fun times. read more

Since I have not received the majority of my items which will now not be delivered until 7-Jul-2015 I am considering canceling my order. Be cautious Update (6/26): Sales man from store was helpful but when found out I was thinking about canceling order became very abrupt and told me he has done everything he can. Nice. Update (6/29): Corp CS stated I would get my furniture today but Delivery apparently had another idea and changed it to (7/1) without notifying me. Do NOT buy from here. We purchased an entire front room set along with a credenza and matching tv stand on June 23rd. We got a call the first of July to schedule delivery. Our tables on the 18th and furniture on the 25th of July. We told them to just deliver everything on the 25th instead of making two trips. On the 25th the delivery crew showed up with just our tables, credenza and tv stand. After SEVERAL calls we had to pay a 3rd party to deliver our furniture on the 26th or wait until August the 1st. We were reimbursed for the 3rd party delivery but our furniture arrived damaged. The back of the loveseat is smashed in. The leg on the chair will not hold the leg in place and the tv stand is scratched up. We have sent the claim center numerous pictures FOUR times and have been given the runaround. Will take 48 hours to see pictures then 72 hours to process. That was over two weeks ago. This is our second time buying from Ashley's in five years. We had a bad experience last time as well. But after five years we figured surely things are better. They had what we wanted, but we will not be back after this time. We cleared out and threw away all our old furniture, drove to the warehouse and were told they didn't have our furniture and couldn't pick it up until the 18th. Called the store and they said there was nothing they could do about it because of manufacturing delays. So now we have 2 more weeks with an empty living room and no furniture to sit on. It's a really terrible way to run a business if you're going to tell your customers that something will be ready on a specific date and don't give them a forewarning that it's not ready. I have tried to call the store that I purchased the items from multiple times only to be on hold for over an hour every time and then hung up on. I tried chatting with customer service who also was no help and told me to call cooperate. I called cooperate and they left me on hold for another hour and then had me leave a voicemail and they would be in contact with me in 24-48 hours. That was 2 weeks ago. Fantastic service!! We visited here on a whim because we happened to be in the area & have been looking for living room furniture for a month. Steve helped us & was wonderful, asked us questions about what our room looked like & what our ideas were. He quickly helped us pick out the perfect set & even a table as well. He went so far as to lug a nightstand all the way to the other side of the store because we liked the color of it & no tables in that color were on the floor. Long story short it was not a wasted trip, we left with the perfect furniture ordered and they will deliver & set it up too!
