I purchased a leather sofa and loveseat but when it was delivered it was much harder and less comfortable than the store display. The store delivery person advised me that it would soften after breaking in. It didn't happen and the store refused to do anything to help remedy the problem. They said it's yours as soon as it's delivered and left with your signature.... I will never again buy anything from Ashley Furniture Store....zero care from the company!!! Stay away.... Terrible Terrible, my wife and I go into the store to purchase a kitchen table, at first we could get no ones attention to help us, finally after 20mins we get a man who has been drinking, I mean he smelled straight like alcohol every breathe was a bottle smell, then he didn't really know jack squat about anything, then I asked why were people picking up items out the side of the building he said oh that's nothing people were picking up deliveries. Then when I asked if I could pick up the item myself he said no you can't you gotta go pick it up from the warehouse I said well why not from here, he said you have to purchase the In home delivery for $69.99 I said I don't need that I can pick it up, he said but you have to put it together I said I'm not worried about that I can do it myself. And on and on and on he went. At this point I was done! I ordered a sectional from Ashley Furniture in Henderson on 6/27/22. The order was supposed to be delivered in 6 weeks but wasn't delivered until almost 9 weeks (after multiple calls). My husband accepted the delivery but the sectional we received was entirely entirely different than the one we ordered in store. My husband works till late in the evening and I am busy with school. Calling them doesn't help as you are placed on hold for hours. My husband also didn't want to wait another 8 weeks but I was not happy because it was not what I wanted nor ordered. We finally went there in person to talk to them (it's been a week) to tell them that these are different couches and they told me that their policy is 3 days and only for damage/defective items. The item was neither damaged nor defective but we received something other than what we ordered. The 3 day window was in the fine print but we didn't read that nor did anyone accuse us verbally of a 3 day window. We talked to the office manager Alicia and the store manager Sabrina but they said they can't do anything. Initially, they kept insisting that the incorrect sectional was, in fact, what we had ordered in the first place. Then they agreed the wrong sectional was sent to us. After they noticed the three day window was up, they kept referring to that. I am making payments for something I did not order and I am stuck with it. As we were about to leave, the office manager Alicia and store manager Sabrina started laughing loudly at something. Could've been anything, but obviously I didn't find anything amusing in our interaction. I am just angry because I am spending my hard earned money on this couch every month but its not even what I wanted. They said we can try calling corporate but we know nothing will happen. This was the Mall ring circle location near Galleria mall. Just wanted to vent and let everyone know about it. I will never shop from there as they are not honorable. It was a bait and switch. I posted this review because everyone's going to have their own experience. There seems to be a lot of negative reviews about service or delivery time. My experience with this Ashley store was great. They did let us know that it's going to be a few weeks maybe even months for delivery time. We were just in the middle of a pandemic. There's a lot of items on back order. People will just have to except that & be patient. As far as the service goes. The service we received was excellent. Katherine was our rep. We had to go back and make an adjustment on our order. Unfortunately, after waiting so long to receive it, the coffee table was delivered used and broken. We were told during the delivery that we would need to report any problems within 72 hours. We called the number that was given to us and reported that the table was damaged within the hour it was delivered. After waiting four months to receive the table, we were completely frustrated in dealing with Ashley Furniture and asked to return the table for a refund. They said it would take 72 hours for the company to make a decision about the return. After waiting a week and having to call several employees, we were told that we would not be able to return the table and receive a refund because Ashley Furniture does not have a return policy. He spoke to Debra in such an unprofessional and mean tone. He said something in front of me(the Customer) that he should not have discussed. I was made to feel incredibly uncomfortable by him. We made the mistake of buying some furniture from Ashley on July 26, 2020. The furniture was in stock, so they told us when we purchased, but our house was not ready until September. Ashley set up delivery 3 dates and times between the end of September and November 14 and near each date scheduled, recanted the deliveries they set up each time or simply did not show up. Saturday November 14 was confirmed 4 times and they failed to deliver. We called and opened a case with corporate. A 4th delivery date was scheduled for today, November 17 between 8:30 and 11am. Today, November 17 was the 4th delivery rescheduling in 6 weeks. We called customer service at the Henderson location yesterday to confirm. We even drove to the Henderson store yesterday to confirm in person that our furniture would be delivered as promised. We received 6 texts confirming delivery yesterday and today. We tracked the order on line which said we were 3rd on the truck schedule at 8:30am and we should expect delivery between 9 and 10. The phone rings at 8:45 and Ashley's delivery department in Phoenix Arizona wants to AGAIN reschedule for perhaps tomorrow. Channing tells us they were on the other side of the valley today with other deliveries! She also claimed that the delivery driver contacted her (her department) that they could not deliver as promised. These people are UNRELIABLE! These people are UNTRUSTWORTHY! These people HAVE NO SCRUPLES! These people HAVE NO SHAME! These People have a 1 out of 5 rating with BBB! 468 complaints in the last 3 years and 244 in the past year. After 8 calls to Ashley today, an on line chat that was a disaster and some creative detective work, we managed to reach the delivery driver by phone, Demetrius. Nice guy! He told me he had been in my area all day and not the other side of the valley, so the person who originally called us this morning to postpone and avoid delivery again today, Channing, was LYING about the route and the driver calling her! The delivery driver works for EZTrans LLC an independent contractor hired by Ashley. He was kind enough to amend his routing schedule to accommodate delivery and fulfill Ashley's false promises. My husband and I bought a diner set table, the delivery process was TERRIBLE, when they came with the table it was damaged, so we had to wait for them to return it and send us back another one, so we were without a dinner table for about a week (were a family of 5) then when they come and deliver the 2nd table , the delivery guy drops and breaks our light post out front as well as the table .. we had to order A THIRD table and contact our HOA about the damage. When arrived on the delivery date the delivery guy was the one who showed me that the table had been used, the holes were stripped on the table and it was missing a chair. I refused to keep because that is not what I ordered. After much research and visiting other furniture stores, we decided to make our purchase here. The sectional I wanted was cheaper online than it was in store. Luckily they price matched, so this wasn't an issue. The transaction itself was simple and easy since I had stopped in a few times prior to making the commitment. After financing and setting an appointment for delivery, I was finished within an hour. My new sectional was to be delivered in two weeks. Fast forward two weeks. I received a text message confirming my delivery for December 16, which I thought was nice. They were on time and the delivery men were friendly. When they were setting up, one of the pieces had a hole in it. Great! It had to be ordered and I had to wait another 2 weeks for my sectional to be complete. Finally a month after the transaction, my sectional is complete and I'm happy. If it wasn't for the month wait, it would have been a 4 star review. I am a wheelchair user at the moment (broken foot) and the furniture is so tightly packed that it's very hard to navigate the store. Instead of helping, the salesmen made fun of my husband and me when they thought we couldn't hear. When we told them that we were looking for furniture here with the hope that we could get it delivered from the LA store, one salesman told the other, "Don't even bother, it's not worth it" and they walked away. We picked out a bedroom set to buy (like I said, there was nice furniture), but we decided not to buy it here because we wanted our commission to go to different salespeople. If you need furniture within 3months, don't go to them! I understand there is a delay in everything because of Covid. So I was aware of the delay. On Black Friday wknd 2021, I told our sales person as long as I get it by April 2022 for a birthday and the sales person (I'll leave his name out unless the company reaches out) said that he will push to get it by Christmas 2021 but so far it's scheduled by mid January 2022.
