Very small store. No one spoke to us as we walked in. We were looking for some beds for my kids and they had exactly 3 beds for kids set up. It was a sad situation and very unorganized layout. They have a lot of nerve calling themselves a furniture store. I bought a sofa at the Katy store mid July. I'm 75 yo, disabled from a 2 level back fusion with chronic pain. My furniture has to be comfortable. The sofa was delivered the following wk. The day after delivery I called & wanted to return it. The sofa is poor quality, & defective. I can feel the wood frame underneath it & I'm not a big person. Nope. They basically told me since I took possession of it , it was mine for better or worse. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS! Bought a mattress and bed/headboard on 5/27 and was told to expect it on 6/10 and NOTHING. Then I went back to the store and was told 6/23. The woman I spoke with even showed me her computer screen that showed the 6/23 delivery date. 6/23 has come and gone. If you call an automated message tells you they are having "system issues" that conveniently impact their phone system too. If you call you'll be given a number to text with. Doing so is useless. Whoever you're speaking with (it seems like a person) is not helpful at all. I've now been told my furniture will arrive on 6/27 (a month since Ashley happily swiped mg credit card-those systems seem to work just fine). They were yelling at a poor customer very aggressively, insulting them and saying that they make more money then them and asking why they're there? It was very odd and concerning. We had just entered the store, saw that and left. I don't know the full story behind why they were yelling, but what type of employee treats people like that? They did confirm the delivery date of 6/1 multiple times leading up delivery. 3 times the day of with a window of 12-3:15 for delivery. They never showed up or called. Your store manager came into our store yelling, saying profanities at us. We were unaware of your bonus program concerning the numbering system for people entering your store. This is a final update on my previous review. Now we are in June 2021. Ashley sent a repair man out a few months ago to repair of sofa that we consider to have had a product defect. The repair man informed us that Ashley only instructed him to fix the recliner side of the couch, even though, Ashley promised that all issues raised would be addressed. The "repair" made the couch even worse if that's possible. The recliner foot section would not longer go flat, the motor fell out of the bottom, and the extra cushion that he added made the recliner extremely uncomfortable and unable to be used any longer. I am writing this update because we tried several times to call and email Ashley following this "repair" and receive NO ANSWER. Ultimately we had to purchase a new couch and trash the Ashley couch. A waste of money and time. If I could give Ashley a negative review I would. I consider this to be fraud and theft. I think Ashley as a whole gets a bad wrap. However I don't think they are doing themselves any good service by having sales people who judge you before they even get to know you. When my wife and I went in, the gentleman that helped us seriously could give a dang about us the entire time we were walking around looking and asking questions. We could tell that he didn't care about us as customers and seemed pretty annoyed. We finally settled on a really nice 7 piece couch set and a bed and when he ran my credit, I could tell that he was shocked and his whole attitude changed and he treated us a LOT better. If my wife and I didn't need a couch and bed at the time, we would have walked out. But unfortunately we did. After we purchased everything we ended up having issues with delivery (this is pre Covid) and luckily, the front desk lady (I forget her name) was super cool and sweet and helped us get the situation settled. The horrible part is that when I first brought the situation up to the salesman, he literally blew me off and ignored my text messages and then when I showed up, he sent me to the desk. No help from him. Fast forward a couple of months...the power cable dies on me for the couch. I call and they send me a new one :-) yay! Fast forward another month and not one, but BOTH of the power cords to the adjustable base on the bed go out on me. I'm not sure what kind of faulty products they sent me, but dang it is horrible they all the powered furniture due on me within the first year of ownership. On December 2nd I went into the store and purchased a farmhouse table. Sales person was great and he assured me that I would get my table delivered the following week. I received a call Dec. 19 that I would finally get my table on December 21st. When the delivery guys got to my home they informed me they were only leaving the chairs because the table was damaged . Instead of delivering everything together I had only chairs. They even left the legs of the table. My family and I went through Christmas and New Years with no table, we even had guest over to bring in the New Year, reasons why I bought this to begin with. We were told 9:30am-12:00pm time slot, so my husband takes off work for the day. They get there with the wrong size bed rails and told my husband they wouldn't be back until 7:00pm. Completely defeats the purpose of my husband taking off in the first place. While they were there, they got a massive grease stain on our BRAND NEW CARPET! We just moved into our newly built home! They said they would bring out a carpet cleaner when they returned at 7:00pm with the bedrails. We purchased a mattress protector for our mattress because we were told we wouldn't get warranty on our mattress if we didn't have that mattress protector. Come to find out that it's on back order for another month, so we didn't receive a mattress protector either.... Fast forward to when I get home from work. I realize the headboard they delivered was WRONG! Which is the reason our delivery date was a month out in the first place!!!! So we call the delivery guy to tell him. He tells us he's at the warehouse and he'll get the right headboard with the bed rails. Fast forward to 9:30pm!!! (Not 7pm) The delivery driver shows up with a "carpet cleaner" (aka wife) and his kid!! They have Walmart bought carpet cleaner and a Resolve portable vacuum to clean our carpet. No bed rails or headboard. He says they didn't have them and he would call the warehouse tomorrow!!! No estimated delivery or nothing!! His wife spends 45 minutes scrubbing our carpet while their kid is pitching a fit, crying. We finally told them just to leave. If I could give Ashley a ZERO - I would. I ordered a set of bedroom furniture and some home office furniture in late Jan, 2021. At the time, I was told I would have the furniture in about 2 months. Which is ridiculous ... but Covid, and a lack of skilled labor. So I went ahead and ordered the furniture. At the 2 month point, I started inquiring about the status of my furniture every week or so through their online chat service. No matter what I was told, the next time I called, the delivery had been "further delayed" and the date was pushed out at least 2-3 more weeks. FINALLY, at about the 5 month point, I was emailed and sent a text and told my furniture had arrived at the warehouse, and I needed to schedule delivery. So I called the phone number I was given, and used their automated system to schedule my delivery - which was supposed to be today, 7/14. Yesterday, I called their sales dept to confirm that my furniture was coming today and to get a window of time when it would be delivered. It took FOREVER to figure out how to get a live person on the phone. I mean I literally spent several hours - but persistence finally paid off. And I was told that not only was my furniture not going to be delivered today, but some of it was not even at the warehouse yet. Supposedly, I am now getting a partial delivery on 7/27. The reason this is so infuriating is that since I expected my new furniture to arrive today - I donated all of my current bedroom furniture to Salvation Army, and they picked it up yesterday. SO - I have no furniture until at least 7/27, and based on my experiences with this company, I have zero faith that it will actually be delivered then. This was by far the absolute worst furniture buying experience I've ever had in my life - and I don't even have the furniture yet! What if something is damaged? Will it take another 6 months to get a replacement? DO NOT order from these people unless you could care less when you get your furniture and you don't mind getting the run around for months. Saying im disappointed is an understatement. I am never someone that will write a review, but I am just so lost for words. I bought a bedroom set on Memorial Day of this year. I am a college student and this was my first ever furniture purchase. The person who sold me the set told me that he could only deliver the furniture a week after school started. Once we found this out we told him that wouldn't work, but then he said he would change it in the system to the 19th of August. I thought that was great and so I purchased the furniture. He told me if I had any questions to contact him. Yesterday I was getting a bit concerned since I have not heard anything from Ashley or the sales associate that helped me out that day. I texted him and he said he was able to move me to the 19th but he does not work there anymore? I was shocked and so I called the store to confirm I was getting my furniture in my new college home on August 19th. When I called they had no idea what I was talking about and told me I will be lucky to get my furniture in August. I am devastated. I move into my new home in less then a week and I don't know how long it will be before I get my furniture. My family and I are considering canceling the order and buying from Gallery since they are much more reliable. I am just so in love with my set that its hard for me to cancel this purchase. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I placed my order for a dining set and a bedroom set in December of 2021. Yes, 2021. I received the dining set in November of 2022 (11 months and 15 days later). As if that wasn't bad enough, I then continued to wait for my bedroom furniture until March 2023 for a grand total of 1 year, two months, and 9 days! During this time, my order was cancelled twice without my approval because, due to the delays, new employees wanted to get the commission for the sale so they cancelled the original sale and resubmitted it as a brand new order to give themselves the credit even though it pushed me to the back of the waiting line on back ordered items that I had already been waiting on for half of a year. Management did nothing to help and treated me disrespectfully. I spoke to dozens of customer service representatives along the way, even reaching all the way up to corporate level to try to get actual solutions... nothing. Empty promises for calls back, countless "urgent tickets" entered, and not once did anyone ever reach out to me. It was me calling every single time and still no real help. The rotten cherry on top of the entire nightmare was discovering that the $300 "white glove" delivery service set up the king sized bed wrong with completely detached supports! They propped them up to make it look done, but the screws were stripped, so they were completely loose, but didn't appear this way at setup, so I signed and they left. Absolutely awful experience. Would NEVER consider this company again, and if this helps save a few people some trouble by going elsewhere, at least it will give me some peace of mind knowing they won't experience what I did. read more

Finally, they called me with a delivery date, but on the day before the date (after I had requested off work) told me it actually could not be delivered until another 1 week later, with no explanation. It then arrived that following day, which was very confusing, and 3 hours after the delivery window. It arrived damaged, with the center chipping and broken. I called multiple times after that, and they said the best they could do was a small gift card. The problem is, I never plan on using Ashley again, so a gift card is useless to me. The customer service, timeliness, quality, and professionalism with Ashley was terrible and disappointing. On July 11, my wife and I purchased an powerlift recliner chair at Ashley Homestore for her 90 year old mother who is not in assisted living. The deal went smoothly and quickly and we were informed that the chair would be delivered on July 16 and that we would be told of the time by phone or email on July 14. When we had not received any information by about 5:30, we called and, according to instructions, pressed 1 for delivery. The phone rang for a while and no one answered, so we called back and pressed 3 for a customer service representative, and a woman came on the line. She did some checking and said that delivery was set for July 23. When questioned, she replied "Oh, it was scheduled for the 16th, but changed. No reason was given." Becoming rather upset at being jerked around, I replied, rather strongly, "Well, change it back." At that point, all she could say to me was not to yell, and continued to repeat that regardless of what I tried to find out. (I was speaking strongly, but I was a long way from yelling.) Finally, she asked if I wanted to be connected to a salesperson and I said yes. I waited and listened for 30 seconds or so, and the line went dead. I called back and pressed 2 for a salesperson and was told that someone would answer shortly. About 30 seconds later, the line went dead again. Frustrated again, I went to the store and to talk to a manager. When I got to the store, there was one salesperson who was speaking to a customer. The customer got the desired information and went off into the store. The salesperson then showed no interest in talking to me, so I approached her and asked to see a manager. The salesperson rather disinterestedly said they were at the back. I went to the back and found a service area and explained what had happened to whoever was pretending to be a manager at that time. The person replied with the usual solicitous "I'm sorry" and "That's frustrating." Then she proceeded to tell me that the ordered chair was not in the warehouse and was expected to be there on July 26. When I got tired of being jerked around I began strongly asking about when we were going to be informed of this and how were they going to deliver on the 23rd when the chair was not going to get to the warehouse until the 26th, she went into the "Don't yell at me" mantra. (Again, I was a long way from yelling.) Soon, someone else came by and started with the same thing saying if I didn't stop yelling, I should leave. So I began speaking in a very soft solicitous voice, only to be continuously bombarded with "Don't yell." "Don't yell." And no response to my soft solicitous voice. On the whole, it was a very bad experience. Apparently, no one there knew, or cared, about the issue of the chair not being available and the policy of setting and changing unrealistic delivery dates or informing the customer of the issue. They are simply expecting the customer to blindly accept whatever they say with no complaints. I wish I had checked Yelp to see their well deserved 1.5 rating and I will never again deal with Ashley and will offer this opinion to anyone who asks me. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars, but 1 is the lowest so I'll do that. I bought a $3,000 couch 6 months ago, it broke after a few days. My partner and I have since been dealing with the absolute worst service either of us have ever had. We call, we get hung up on. We are told we'll be called back, we get no calls. We have been calling, emailing, texting at least twice a week for 6 months with hardly anyone responding. Finally a month ago we were able to get the replacement piece delivered... And they wouldn't accept the broken piece that we've had for 5 months because it had like 10 pieces of small dog hair. We have 2 small dogs and we've been trying to get the piece replaced for SIX MONTHS. If the company had gotten the piece replaced when we called about it SIX MONTHS AGO, maybe there wouldn't be any dog hair, but as it is it's impossible to get every molecule off. Especially when we have to wait weeks and months to finally get delivery service here. You expect us to just never let a dust particle of dog hair on the couch????? Oh, and the second time they finally got the piece shipped out, which was today, we were told yet again it couldn't be replaced because of the dog hair. I asked where in the contract it says it can't be accepted with a miniscule amount of dog hair. I was told it's in the DELIVERY DRIVER'S contract, but not ours... With no due respect, that is NOT my problem. We even had a rep weeks ago say she would put a note on the drivers' order form saying to take the piece even if there is dog hair because it's ridiculous. And that didn't happen. We were told today that the drivers would have to pay out of pocket if there was hair. So... Your company is now guilt tripping us into keeping a $3,000 BROKEN couch that we paid a $400 warranty on? No. I do not care about the $2 that the driver might have to pay for the 10 god dang pieces of hair on this BROKEN couch that we've been trying to get fixed for SIX MONTHS. Again, maybe if there was proper customer service and literally anybody responded to our 100+ calls and emails, maybe the couch wouldn't have hair because it wouldn't be sitting in our small apartment with 2 shedding dogs for, and I can't say this enough, SIX. MONTHS. I also know the shipping company is separate from Ashley, but since they work together, it should have been stated in OUR warranty contract that the warranty is basically null and void if there's hair on the broken piece. Because if that was the case, I wouldn't have paid $400 EXTRA for a service that wasn't going to be provided anyway. I can not express how angry this whole ordeal has made me, it's taking all of my will power to not absolutely cuss every representative out or just dump the broken couch in front of Ashley Home and refuse to pay another cent. Because this is just ridiculous beyond measure, and I shouldn't be having to pay $3,000 and $400 for a warranty when all we've had is a broken, uncomfortable piece of furniture, and not a single rep or manager will help us. And I know it's just a couch, it's not the end of the world, but this thing was $3,000, I'm still paying on it, and it's been broken practically since the day we got it. We've had to use this now-very uncomfortable couch for half a god dang year and then we're told it can't be replaced because it has some hair on it???? And nobody has been willing or able to help us. We call and we're ignored, we have been incredibly patient and this company does not deserve it. Do not buy furniture from them. We purchased several items, including a bedroom set, a dining room table set, and a loveseat and a sofa on May 3, 2020. We received our items a few days later, all except a sofa. We were told it would arrive mid June. Come mid June and no sofa. I tried calling several times but the wait time was absolutely ridiculous and at the 20 minute mark of waiting, I just gave up. I ended up sending an email/ inquiry on the Ashley website and a couple of days later received an email stating my furniture was going to be delivered. This email was received June 24th and was said to be delivered Friday, June 26th between 10:15 AM to 1:15 PM. By 2:00 PM I realize they aren't coming so I call AGAIN! After 20 minutes someone finally answers and I express my concern. She stated they had called me and left me a message saying it was on back order. Come to find, they had the wrong number!! No one ever contacted me. According to this person, the sofa would be coming July 16th!!! Over two months after I placed my order!! I understand COVID has affected many things, but I deserve to be offered some kind of compensation, which I expressed. She said that the contract states that dates are subject to change. Does the contract also state that it is okay to be given false information over and over again and be deceived? I keep receiving email from them on a daily basis of sales and items to go and buy. Why would anyone want to buy when they have no inventory. That should also be clearly laid out. Stop trying to sell things you guys do not have. I asked to speak to a manager or someone higher up and she said that was as high as I can go, literally. So no assistance was offered at all. The only thing she offered was to get another sofa. I have a loveseat already, why would I get another sofa if I am expecting a matching set. And of course, they are not taking the love seat back. So here I am with a 750$ loveseat and no sofa. Who knows what it is going to happen come July 16th. I hope I do not get another email stating I am getting my delivery and come to find they call me the same day or the day before that they are on back order. This is so upsetting, so frustrating, and even more frustrating that nothing is being done. Please do not let this happen to you. Do not buy furniture from them. If they won't offer me a solution, the best thing I can do is at least prevent this form happening to other people. I will definitely be discouraging anyone from buying from them. I am in a dispute with Ashley Furniture about the fact they did not tell me items cannot be returned for a refund. Long story but purchased through store online and only received an amount owed without disclaimer that items cannot be returned. Horrible store policy. DONOT buy from them. Furniture delivered has a horrible odor. We cannot sleep in the room. Spoke with their people about this and the answer was to send a technician to come to my home and spray a chemical that will remove the odor. Chemicals to combat chemicals?? I purchased a mattress yesterday and less than 24 hours the delivery date was changed. I called to the store to inquire and Dewayne ( district manager) was rude, dismissive and aggressive. I told him that I didn't want to speak with him anymore as I was waiting on a call back in the next few minutes from the 800 number and hung up . A Ms. Sharonda called me back in less than 5 min, well when she put in my order number it was cancelled by Dewayne within 2 min of he and I speaking . I then drive to the location immediately to ask why would he cancel my order and he stated you told me to. That is absolutely incorrect because I wouldn't even give him my phone number to assist me further, so he looked on caller ID took my phone number. Ran it in the system and to be petty, he canceled my order. He would not give me any information for a manager above him as he said he is the manager. I do understand that there is a regional manager, but he would not provide the information. He said you're being ghetto I said, sir please don't speak to me that way. I have just retired from doing 26 years in the United States Navy and ghetto I'm not. He say oh well I don't care. I said OK thank you oh by the way when will my refund be applied he said within three days. I walked across the street to mattress firm and I purchased a mattress there I will never do business with Ashley's furniture again it's unacceptable. I will attempt on Monday to reach out to corporate. From reading reviews on yelp as well as the website, the rudeness disrespect is a common practice for this location. Matter of fact there is a review on the website where they canceled someone's order the day before mine.. Don't be filled by the salespersons pitch for their warranty. We bought a sectional sofa, paid 600.00 for an Extend warranty. According to the salesperson we could get the couch cleaned once a year, and "it was a must if you have pets". Well our pets did make stains but it didn't work out exactly the way they said. Extend is a frustrating company to work with to say the least. At first we had to call and explain the stains on each piece of the sectional, then get it approved. All this to get a cleaning kit in the mail so I could clean the couch myself. I complained, then started getting emails from the company explaining the sub-clauses, and sub -sections of the warranty contract (better read the small print), that states they only clean 1 stain per year per event- better know what the event was. They started asking for pictures of the stains. Then asking for more pictures and different angles. Obviously trying to wear the customer out so they just give up. We finally got a cleaner scheduled to come clean the couch. However, when they arrived, they only wanted to spot clean 1 place. They won, we ended up paying another company to clean the couch. Never Ever buy anything from them! They don't hold their promises on even delivery day. They keep postponing the delivery date not 1 day or 1 week but a month every time. It has been 3 months already and they just postponed it to Jan,2022. These people are scammers no joking, if you didn't manufacture an item why are you selling it by saying 5-8 weeks. LIARS!!! Customer service is even worst after 2 hr phone you can't get a proper answer, very upsetting, frustrating. Make yourself a favor and don't buy anything from them.
