Having spent so much time in NYC over the years, I've rarely been privy (#1) to retail chains like Ollie's, which is ginormous compared to all discount stores (#2) I've ever seen in my life. A "bargain outlet" with 500+ locations across 3 dozen states, they have massive inventory that covers everything from mattresses to children's books. If Costco and Dollar Tree had a baby, it would be named Ollie's. I hate to generalize by saying they have everything, but it's really hard to suggest that they don't. There's appliances, apparel, sporting equipment, toiletries, electronics, office supplies, storage supplies, shoes, sporting gear, pet supplies, home decor, etc. It's really easy to get lost in everything they have. However, calling in might be an issue as their customer service is very spotty at best. The website isn't the most reliable in confirming inventory, so perusing in person is usually ideal. At the end of the day, affordable stuff that doesn't feel cheap even when it is. More importantly, I've scored some impressive deals and almost everything was of good-to-great quality. This place is something to do on a lazy day. They had so much close out items to see I found old books that required at least 30 minutes to roam. The clerk was friendly and inviting. It was a good experience. read more

They don't call it the bargain outlet for nothing! It was my first time here, and I was thoroughly surprised by the things they carried. It's as if Big Lots and Popshelf had a baby. The prices will shock you even more than the merchandise. This place is the best. Just the best. I love the fact that they have so many great buys at wonderful prices. I have found some cool books at great deals, I have found some great snacks at great prices, and the best, yet, is shampoo and conditioner, every day items that you need at great prices. They have an amazing stuff for your animals as far as snacks and leashes and toys and beds and everything else in between. They also sell jackets and sheets and chairs and patio stuff and everything else you need for your home, at bargain prices. I'll personally love shopping here and it is a true addiction. They make so many items affordable. You can also get spices and cereal and other food items that you need every day, but at affordable prices. Fire half of those employees, they're rude, miserable. I mean sweet jesus you can see how miserable they are and they're spreading it around. Not the customers fault that they hate working there. I found out about Ollies after seeing one of my Yelp friends check in here. I didn't know they had opened so I wanted to stop by and see what kind of deals they have. They are located where a Stein Mart used to be off N. Fry Rd. It's a good place to pick up deals that was food items, home items, storage items, rugs towels, etc. I ended up picking up a deal on some hangers because we could always use hangers at home. It was a quick visit just to kind of see what they had. I will probably go back with a more detailed list in the near future. read more

This bargain store has everything you can think of and half of what you can't.. they have decorative rugs of all sizes, fans, heaters, home dots, bedding, comforters, cleaning, supplies, food, seasonings for cooking automotive and electronics, as well as clothing and much more. I love to come here to find things to update my guest bedroom with or to buy new toiletries for my guest bedroom for cheap. The store was clean and organized. They had a lot of good stuff with good prices. My wife loved the book dept it had some really good books for kids and adults.they had a lot of toys some toys I never knew existed. They had a big kitchen area I was impressed with. The prices were really good, not great but they were good. They had a lot of electronic cooking stuff like crockpots air, fryers, and stuff like that so I was impressed with that.. They had an automotive department that had quite a bit in there from cleaners wiper blades. If you know the size wiper blade, you can get a good deal. They're about seven dollars cheaper than buying them at the store because they did not have a catalog to look up what size you need for your car you need to know the size before you go in there and they had rain X wiper blades and those are about 18 $20 each . Store deserves a look I've never been in one before I would go back check it out. read more

Bargain on Bargain with a lot to choose from. My brain went into overload walking in this place. From books, gardening, kitchen to rugs you name it you can find it. It located on Fry road in in the strip mall with Hobby Lobby and Planet fitness. It's in the old Stein Mart building so there is pretty good spacing in there. My 1st trip I just went down every aisle to get a lay of the land. I ended walking out with the fake green rug to put on my balcony for $15. They also have a program where the money you spend going towards point for a coupon. I can see myself making another trip. read more

I had a bad experiance recently, and I left a review of that experience, however, as soon as the message was received, the manager of the store reached out to me and apologized and fixing the situation, in my 36 years this is the first time that I've ever had that kind of experience to the point of having to make a complaint about an employee. First time visiting a location in Houston. These stores are about 30 minutes away from my home. It reminds me of a big lots but it also sells books. The store is huge cleaned and well stocked. They have a little of everything from car accessories to towels to body wash. Purchased hangers 50 count for 9.99 velvet non slip, bath sheet towels for 7 and a few books. It was worth the drive when I had some time to kill. read more

You can find some really good items and stuff in here for a really good price and they have a little bit of everything.
