Don't be filled by the salespersons pitch for their warranty. We bought a sectional sofa, paid 600.00 for an Extend warranty. According to the salesperson we could get the couch cleaned once a year, and "it was a must if you have pets". Well our pets did make stains but it didn't work out exactly the way they said. Extend is a frustrating company to work with to say the least. At first we had to call and explain the stains on each piece of the sectional, then get it approved. All this to get a cleaning kit in the mail so I could clean the couch myself. I complained, then started getting emails from the company explaining the sub-clauses, and sub -sections of the warranty contract (better read the small print), that states they only clean 1 stain per year per event- better know what the event was. They started asking for pictures of the stains. Then asking for more pictures and different angles. Obviously trying to wear the customer out so they just give up. We finally got a cleaner scheduled to come clean the couch. However, when they arrived, they only wanted to spot clean 1 place. They won, we ended up paying another company to clean the couch. Here is a copy of that: We purchased the dining table set since August 8, 2021 and paid it in full. We have been waiting for almost 5 months. Our delivery date kept being pushed back. Several representatives gave us different dates such as 10/09, 10/19, 11/3, 12/09, 1/1 over the phones in the past few months. Every time I called when the date approached, I was told it has been pushed back to another date. The sale agent Ibrahim is no longer working there. I came to the store and the manager couldn't even assist me with a specific date to have the dining table set delivered. We kept our hopes up and we kept being disappointed. On 12/15, a representative finally called me to schedule the delivery date for my table. I was so happy and it was scheduled for 12/28. Today 12/27 I called back because I was supposed to know what time they are coming, just to be told again the order has been pushed back to February 18,2022. Are you guys kidding me? You called me to schedule for a delivery date, and now you told me you don't know who made that call and why did that happen. The sofa got damage few months only after buying it, the man who came to fix it was not knowledgeable of what he is doing and he fix it wrong. He staple the clothe of sofa to wood which it should not be like that and after sometimes the staple start to come out and my son got injured with big cut in his hand. Do Not shop at Katy Store. Poor management . Sales ppl are laying to customers to get the sale done. Customers service are so poor and useless. Worst experience ever. We bought a dining room. Sales person took the social to open us a credit and instead of opening one credit she opened us 3 credit cards at the same time without authorization, which dropped our credit 38 points. I went to the store to complain after I received the 3 credit cards and all what the manger said we are sorry, she should not do that, but it happened and we can not do anything now. Above all of that I received the table after 5 months with broken chairs and poor quality and although they hurt us all what they offered is sending a technician to fix it. We had a terrible experience with this store and just Ashley furniture in general. 1. They did not order the whole sectional we had asked for, only the chaise. The other part of sectional was then not available till October. 2. I paid for white glove delivery and they came and did not even put together the chaise that came. 3. When coming to pick up the chaise we had to return, they did not call to give notice they were close by and said they would leave in 15 minutes if I was not there in time. 4. I really should have read the reviews before entering this store. My husband and I went on Saturday, 8/10/19. We were helped by salesman Arif Gour, who at the time was very helpful, patient and always available for questions. Towards the end we were considering the McCaskill sectional couch and my husband asked if the sections connect. Arif said that they do connect. This was a deciding factor that led us to purchasing the sectional. Well the next few days I tried contacting Arif to ask him about the dimensions, but the number he gave me was the main number for the store and I never received a call back from him, even after leaving a voicemail. Today is Wednesday 8/14/19, the day of delivery. The sectional arrived and to our surprise the movers said that the sectional does NOT connect. Why would a salesman give customers false information?? Very bad sales tactics. I called the same number again, but of course Arif and the manager are both on a lunch break. I ordered a sectional and a bunk bed for my son at the end of Feb of 2021 and it's now June 28th 2021 and still nothing, with a possible estimated time frame of another 7-12 weeks.. it keeps getting pushed back so I finally just canceled the order. Saying im disappointed is an understatement. I am never someone that will write a review, but I am just so lost for words. I bought a bedroom set on Memorial Day of this year. I am a college student and this was my first ever furniture purchase. The person who sold me the set told me that he could only deliver the furniture a week after school started. Once we found this out we told him that wouldn't work, but then he said he would change it in the system to the 19th of August. I thought that was great and so I purchased the furniture. He told me if I had any questions to contact him. Yesterday I was getting a bit concerned since I have not heard anything from Ashley or the sales associate that helped me out that day. I texted him and he said he was able to move me to the 19th but he does not work there anymore? I was shocked and so I called the store to confirm I was getting my furniture in my new college home on August 19th. When I called they had no idea what I was talking about and told me I will be lucky to get my furniture in August. I am devastated. I move into my new home in less then a week and I don't know how long it will be before I get my furniture. BEWARE! Avoid this place like the plague! I don't make a practice of writing a negative review on any company, but this entire company is the absolute worst place to deal with. We are reasonable and patient people, so for us to be where we are with this entire circus is very telling as to what kind of customer service you will be dealing with if you proceed to buy from Ashley. We bought an entire bedroom set last week. Delivery was set for the day after we closed on our new house this week. Everything was going to be delivered but for some reason the chest of drawers wouldn't be here for a week. As scheduled, all but the chest of drawers was delivered. The delivery guys put it together. The whole time he was assembling the bed, I repeatedly said the headboard was white but the rest of the suit was a butter-yellow cream color. He kept going and said it's fine. Then he built the dresser and wanted me to sign off on it even though several drawers were crooked and would only close completely on one side but gaped open on the other side. The men tried adjusting the rails on the drawers to no avail. They asked if I wanted to send it back - yes, I do...and I don't want that headboard. As they were taking that off the rails, my mom noticed a sizable chunk taken out of a leg on the footboard, so I told them to take that, too. They loaded up the janky dresser, the headboard and the footboard. They left the bed rails (???), the mirror to the dresser, and two night stands and assured me they would call within 24 hours to schedule redelivery of my purchase. When they failed to call, my husband had to make the call. After being on hold for half an hour, they determined that they couldn't come make it right for two weeks. Unacceptable. He went into the store and was told that they would refund him for the things we didn't have (headboard, footboard, dresser, chest of drawers) but that we couldn't be refunded for the nightstands and mirror and bed rails until they picked them up from our house. So I sit here in a new house without the major components of a bedroom set, with only a small partial refund, and NO DATE ON WHEN I WILL GET THE REST OF THE MONEY because the store manager can't get anyone to answer the phone from the warehouse to determine when the nightstands, bed rails, and mirror can be picked up. I guess we can only assume that it too will take weeks before we see our money they have in their possession. My husband even offered to drive the things to their warehouse and the store manager said that wasn't allowed. So you can't talk to the warehouse. The manager can't talk to the warehouse. You can't go to the warehouse. And you can't know when the warehouse will come to you. Horrible customer service. ***important note. My husband was 1 of 5 customers standing there with similar issues and asking for a refund. Please learn from our mistake of buying from this company. Run. I almost never write a review but this company deserve this. I wish that could give them negative stars here is my story: Ipurchased 2 items from Ashley Furniture on Fry Rd on 09/06/2020. The items shipped via Ashley and arrived around the end of the month. When the sofa and chaise lounge arrives I was not home and when I returned from work notice that the sofas have so many imperfections and was poorly manufactured. I call next day and they told me that I have to send pictures, etc etc and they will get back to me. After 3 day I called back and they told me that the manager of the store will have to approved the return in order to be completed so I went to the store spoke with the manager and he told me that he will approve the return but I cannot have a refund. He told me that I will have to pick something else from store. Me and my wife after the first experience I e didn't want to pick something else but we did. The next sofa set that we pick was like $100 more so they even make us to pay the difference (which is fine but at least because all the troubles and tines waste they should honor the same price of the other one). So, they told us that will be 4 weeks for the delivery but in the meantime we could keep the other sofa the want that was defective and when they deliver the new one they will take the other on. We ent home and 4 weeks passed and nothing no even a call. I call back and they told me that they have problem with deliveries and bla bla bla. Well i went several time to the store and it was always an excuse. I never received a call to advised me of any delays. After 7 months of calling and spending hours over the phone with customer service and making trips to the store and so many text from them telling me that the shipping is now reschedule to another shipping date. I call again and they told me that the sofa was back ordered and I have to pick something else. I went ballistic again and went to the store and they finally schedule a date to send the sofa set. The delivery date arrived and they change two additional time before delivering the sofas. When the delivery guy arrived he enter to my house and told me that Ashley didn't like pet hair and that my sofa have pet hair. I have a dog but he doesn't get in the sofa also what they expect after 8 months of waiting. Literally were 3 pet hairs between the 2 sofas. He took pictures and he told me that will have to clean the sofa in order for them to take it and he left. Again I started calling them (customer service and the manager of the store) and they told me that they don't understand why the delivery didn't take the sofa (was immaculate except for the 3 hairs). Finally they did the exchange and delivery the sofas on 06/11/2020 nine months after my original purchase. They didn't offer me any compensation or even decent apology. Sales people are like vultures. It's ok to be greeted when you walk in. We had the same 3 sales people follow us around the store and make comments EVERYTIME we stopped to look at a piece furniture. We repeatedly told them we are just looking right now and to please just let us look. We were then approached by a lady in a pink suit top and asked if we are making a purchase today. We told her we are looking and to please just let us look and we will let them know if we have questions. She proceeded to follow us around the store anyways. She started to become aggressive and asked us again if we were going to make a purchase. I told her to please leave us alone and she got very rude. At the time of purchase they told us that we could return it within 30 days and they did not honor that promise. We had our replacement delivery cancelled 5 times. No one had the courtesy to give us a call to let us know that the delivery wont be delivered so our entire day was wasted. We bought furniture 4 years ago and the furniture is great, we also purchased the 5 year warranty that is refunded after 5 years. We have since donated the furniture and were trying to find out if the warranty would refund now since we no longer own the furniture or after year 5. Left multiple voicemails with this location and spoke with the corporate customer care line over the course of 3 weeks and finally had to drive to the location just to speak with someone since no one answers the phone at Restaurant Row. It took one month to get our furniture, we had 2 cancellations on our 3rd confirmed delivery for Saturday, May 25 they cancelled our delivery at 3:00 pm on Memorial Day Holiday, rescheduled for another date WITHOUT contacting us, while we waited. This left us with NO furniture and guest arriving in town. After several calls to customer support, I finally reached a customer service manager that gave us the option to pick up our delivery from the warehouse on Airtex/45 (we live near Katy). My husband and I rented a U-Haul, acquire help and spent our Memorial Day weekend putting furniture together. Also the warehouse informed us that they would not pull our items, prior to our arrival, he had to get in line and wait for each piece to be pulled 1 to 2 pieces at a time, we had 11 pieces' total. The store itself is nice and well laid out. Furniture seems to be made well, perhaps mid-range quality+ and at competitive prices. Staff is eager to help but I didn't find them too pushy. I bought a bed only and chose self pickup. (Pickup is on Airtex and i45) I was told a date it would be ready. The fine print says you have 48 hours to cancel the purchase for any reason for a refund. After that they only do store credit. (The pick up date was beyond 48 hours which concerned me a little - So be warned with this little trap.) The due day, nobody called. I ended up calling them at the end of the day and they told me it was ready. You have to arrive before 7:30pm so I waited the next day. Called back and scheduled pickup. (They require scheduling so they can prepare the order for pickup.) I arrived on time and it still took them 30 minutes before the items were in my truck. Furniture was ok, no damage and all parts there. Be warned that self pickup, you will have a ton of trash left over. I had just a bed and it was a lot so if you have more, prepare to spend the day setting it all up and cleaning it all up. I ordered a sofa sleeper and table/chair set at a store in MD for delivery to my new apartment in TX. I was guaranteed by their representative that the furniture would arrive on a specific day. I called Ashley two days before the delivery date and was told that the furniture would 1) not be arriving on time, and 2) the representative should not have guaranteed a delivery date. The person I talked to did not share any doubts that their representative guaranteed a delivery date but said that regardless of that guarantee, there was nothing they could do. I would either have to wait or cancel my order. I had to cancel as I NEEDED the sofa sleeper when I asked for it, not later, due to the mechanics of my move. I ended up buying an inflatable mattress and then going to a local furniture store that could deliver a sofa sleeper within 5 days. We got everything settled with delivery and paid, and here's where things got tricky for them. My mother offered to pay a portion, we paid the rest. Everything was set for 2 weeks from the date of sale. The day before delivery we received the standard automated call advising us of our delivery window, 2:30-5:30 PM. The day of delivery, we move things out of the way, clean ahead of time, make it simple and easy for the delivery person/people and ourselves. 5:30 comes and goes. No delivery. 5:45 I call Ashley. The young lady on the phone put me on hold to call the driver for an update on delivery. Surprise, surprise, she's unable to reach the driver. She assures me we are the next stop in his route and she will have the driver call but he should be at our house by 6:30. I had work that evening and leave by 6:45. In the additional hour window this nice young has now added to our delivery window, guess when the drive calls? NEVER! At 6:30, I call again to Ashley. New lady on the switchboard answers this time. We are now 1 hour passed the allotted 3 hour delivery window. "The driver has a full route. You're number 12 on his list. He got stuck at one of his earlier deliveries." Where on his list is he at this point, I inquired. "He's heading to stop 10." Stop 10? And I'm 12? The pervious person I spoke to at Ashley lies to me, and I was going to be waiting even longer to receive what should have been delivered an hour and a half before...during the 3 hour window. I am put on hold to reach the driver to get a status update on the exact delivery time. I have to leave for work. In fact, I'm late in doing so. And still no delivery. The operator gets back on the phone after talking to the driver, and is now telling me he is coming directly to me. Half an hour later I receive my first phone call from the driver. It is now after 7 and he's lost and needs directions but can't tell me where he is and I am arriving at work late! After sorting him out, it still takes 30 minutes for him to get to the house! Delivery with Ashley is a nightmare! Enter the next part of the story. A delivery, which in no way, shape, or form should have exceeded 3 hours, but would have been easier to plan for and somewhat tolerate had any form of communication on Ashley's part occurred, did go 2 hours beyond, we were expected to pay a delivery which was beyond acceptable. I called and they understood the issue and offered the refund on the delivery. The person I got this time assures me the refund would happen and be applied within 7-10 business days. I was specific as to which card the payment was to be refunded and received confirmation email verifying our conversation and the information, which I must add had the correct card the money was to be refunded to on it. Now we wait. 10 days have come and gone, but low and behold, no refund on the card in question. I call today to find out yet again what the issue is with Ashley. "I'm sorry ma'am, the money has been refunded and put on XXXX card." The email confirmation was bogus and the money was refunded incorrectly. All in all, shop with Ashley if you want to give yourself an aneurism or if your masochistic. read more

Do not buy furniture from this company. We were told we were "VIP" status due to the amount of money we spent and would get most of our furniture within a week. 3 and a half weeks later, we received 1 end table. No update about when we can receive the rest of our furniture or if they will continue to deliver one piece of furniture at a time. I've found out that many other furniture stores will deliver same day delivery or close to it. Save yourself the frustration and just take your money elsewhere. Looking at other reviews online, this is a common complaint with this company. Be prepared to wait 2-3 months for your furniture regardless of what they tell you to your face. **update** canceled the order with Ashley Furniture and went to Gallery furniture. The representatives at the store I worked with was great. I had a large order to furnish a new home. Majority of it had an estimate delivery of 6-8 weeks. Order was placed in late June. First delivery, they brought a damaged console table. I did not notice it at first. It looked like the wood was dented in and they filled the spot with a black marker or substance to blend. I contacted the rep at the store and I received a new one a week later. The 2nd delivery was the bulk of my order. The mid south scheduling team was awful. By far the worst customer service I had ever dealt with at any retailer. My furniture kept getting rescheduled by this team. I received phone calls for delivery which was followed by text or confirmation email. My 2nd delivery kept getting pushed back. The day of delivery, they did not show! Two days prior I spoke to the scheduler to confirm items and date. I also received a delivery time window. When I called to inform them that no one showed, the rep told me it was never scheduled to begin with. She repeatedly stated, "Mam. I don't know who you talked to, but you misunderstood." I replied, "No, I didn't because I have confirmation emails and texts." In the end, I asked for her name and she hung up on me. I was very patient during the constant rescheduling and kept reminding myself (0% for 5 years). But the experience I encountered was very upsetting. There is no need to accuse a customer of lying and then hang up on them. In the end, I didn't care anymore and canceled my entire order with the store. Later, I received a call from the store's escalation team. She was nice and inform me all my items can be delivered within the week. This included an item was supposedly not available until mid-October. I appreciated her attempt, but I had enough and denied it. Beyond disappointed with my most recent shopping trip in June 2020. Truly the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I purchased a cabinet and have had nothing but issues with it. When I received the cabinet, it came completely disassembled, but I was told I would only need to worry about attaching the legs... this was annoying, but I figured it was no big deal. After assembling the cabinet, I came to realize that two of the three doors don't line up or close properly. The hinges were installed visibly crooked, causing the doors to sit very far off center. I attempted to contact the sales rep and customer service at this store the next day to ask for assistance in rectifying the issue... it took 3 weeks, but the sales guy eventually had the customer service rep contact me to request pictures of the cabinet. I truly must have contacted him over 20 times in those three weeks with him saying the customer rep would get back to me tomorrow, two days, a week, etc. before she actually reached out to me. And this was only after asking him if I should physically come to the store to speak to someone that could do ANYTHING for me. The customer service rep said they'd send "the parts" (no specification) and I should receive them in 4-6 weeks. It's now been three months and I have received radio silence from customer service. The phone lines are useless, I've spent hours on hold only to be hung up on countless times. I cannot get a hold of any actual human to speak with to even confirm that a damage claim was filed in the first place. After two weeks of nothing, I circled back to the sales rep and was told "you just have to keep trying" to speak with "someone" to get service scheduled. Meaning just spend every waking moment redialing the store number and pray someone answers and finally addresses this issue. I don't have that kind of time and at this point, would prefer if they just came and picked up the cabinet and refunded my money. Until this purchase, I had nothing but stellar experiences with Ashley Furniture in general. I was disappointed with my purchase when it arrived damaged, but cannot verbally express how saddening their lack of customer service is. After this purchase and what feels like extremely dishonest business practice, I will NOT be doing business with Ashley Furniture again - especially at this location. read more
