Over recent years i have purchased a substantial amount of furniture from this store. The sales and delivery experiences were similar to many of those posted, not always perfect or as advertised but did find helpful people working to improve or address the problem. I have a QUALITY issue that cannot be overlooked. All pieces were purchased at the same time, now 6 years ago. The sofa-love seat set and my desk chair both had issues with the fabric covering peeling apart. Corporate addressed the love seat but could do nothing to assist with the desk chair. BUT, IT GETS WORSE! A few weeks after the love seat covering were replaced, i was sitting at my desk and heard a loud POP. Investigating i found the frame for the entire spring assembly of the large sofa had broken. Now before anyone starts, i am an older guy, no kids jumping on things, no abuse of any of my belongings. I have never seen a piece of furniture fail like this - i get it's out of warranty but this is ridiculous. There is something wrong with this batch of furniture. I contacted the store and corporate office - the warranty is all they wanted to discuss. Not quality or expectations for some life of a product. ZERO help - What did i expect? At very least, consideration of the overall quality of these pieces, the amount i have spent with them.... something to indicate my business was appreciated and they would stand behind their products. I've purchased and passed on furniture to others - all of that lasted much longer than 6 years, especially without a major failure! Looks like my future business will be going elsewhere. Let me preface that I have the privilege of working with special needs individuals. I enjoy being an advocate and caregiver. The purpose of the purchase is for special needs individual. I made sure that everyone that I came into contact with was aware of the need. I did everything that was asked of me to make this purchase a success but it definitely wasn't a success. I am dissatisfied with your in ability to deliver goods that have been purchase until 3 weeks out. I'm also disappointed that this entire delay has been miscommunication, untrained staff and no one with knowledge on how to deal with the situation. I have already attempted to resolve this problem by calling speaking with managers but to no avail. I even went to the store location several times to resolve. The problem is that no one in the store knew what a purchase order is and that our company has done business by means of a purchase order before. I was informed to have the agency I work for cut a check and bring the check back. I did exactly as I was informed but there was still a problem. After standing in the store for over 2 hours attempting to give the store payment someone was finally able to accept payment. The wait is because no one knew how to process the payment. Now I'm being told because goods were purchase with a check it will be a 10-14 wait to ensure the check is good. The check is from a government agency and we have done business in the past by means of a purchase order which guarantees payment. Unfortunately, the problem remains unresolved. The sad thing is that you all are being another roadblock in individuals with special needs. Not only has my agency done business but I have personally done business with Ashley furniture. After this experience neither myself nor the agency I work for will do business with Ashley furniture again. We will go to your competition that guarantees same day deliver. read more

Purchaed over $8K worth of furniture in June at the Willowbrook, Houston location, paid for everything in full. Scheduled delivery date of July 8th. On July 2nd the carpet was delivered via FedEx. Wrong carpet was delivered. We immediately notified our salesman who by text, with photographs, confirmed that we ad indeed received the wrong carpet. On July 8th all but two pieces of furniture was delivered. Three (3) pieces of furniture had damage. Repair, and delivery of the two (2) missing pieces were scheduled for July 15th. No delivery was made, and the repair was canceled by someone at Ashley Furniture. We were not notified in advance that any additional information was required. Upon reaching someone at Customer Care, we were informed that Ashley needed more info before a repair was scheduled, even though the deliverymen took pictures and documented damage, and although we informed our original salesman. We have since emailed photographs and descriptions and model numbers to four (4) seperate representatives with Ashley Furniture, but have not received any information on what is being done to resolve this situation. We have asked for a refund for the carpet, and have been told that the policy of Ashley Furniture is not to refund until they receive the incorrect carpet back. However, no one at Ashley can tell us where or how to return it. Since we have moved 200+ miles from the store where we purchased the carpet, and had everything delivered to our new home. The incorrect carpet has been sitting on our floor, still wrapped in the original packaging since July2nd. Today, July 23rd I called again, and sat on hold for Customer Care for nearly 20 minutes, just to be transferred to the original retail store, where no one answered. The call went directly to voice mail. I left another message. Our original salesman Tom, has stopped responding to our texts. As he explained to us when this been, all he can do is email Customer Care, who then does nothing. Since we have a contract, a fraud investigation of Ashley Furniture may be the next step. I filed a BBB complaint. The representative of Ashley Furniture WI. responded that I should contact the retail store, which we have done numerous times. This is the worst customer service ever, no one seems to know how to handle anything, the retail store has no authority to correct issues, and they are unresponsive to calls. Each call has taken 2 or more days to receive a return call. I will never buy anything from Ashley Furniture ever again. read more

My husband and I purchased a king size bed and a dresser from an Ashley Homestore. In June, the bed rails fell off. The screws pulled out of the particle board (?) We had purchased the extended warranty, so we called. The warranty folks said it was not covered under the extended warranty and we had to call the store. Customer care did not offer to send anyone out to look at / repair the bed. They wanted US to take pictures of the damage and send it to them so they could order the right parts. Once the parts arrived in 3-4 weeks, WE were to call back and schedule the service technician, who would arrive in 7-10 days. It has been a month and no parts have even been ordered for us. We are calling multiple times a week, and depending on who we speak to, they have a hard time even locating our order. We are financing this bed through Ashley. We are currently paying for a bed supported by cinderblocks with no repair in the near future. The buying experience was good, but the aftermath is terrible. read more

Absolutely appalled at the treatment received by a particular salesman at this store. We came in looking for a living room set (ready to pay in cash). After 5 minutes my significant other loved a set and we decided to purchase (yep that quickly). It took us an HOUR AND A HALF to actually buy it... even after we said "ok we'll take it", the salesmen kept bouncing around to other people in the store helping them and leaving us hanging. Another sales representative ended up doing all the paperwork in the system for us as the original salesmen KEPT WALKING OFF to other customers. Dude... do you want to make a sale or NOT??? Hour and a half to literally buy a sofa, loveseat and ottoman... literally appalled at this gentlemans behavior... a total disgrace. read more

I want to start off by saying I have a house full of Ashley Furniture. For the last 15 years is has been the only furniture store I would buy from. Not anymore! I ordered furniture for a new house 6 weeks ago. The delivery was delayed because of Harvey. I was reschedule for my furniture to come yesterday. The driver put the wrong address in and couldn't find the house. Instead of calling, he went on to the next customer. My husband called and the girl he talked to rescheduled the delivery for today. Shockingly I still have no furniture. I called the store and spoke to the manager. I explained what happened and asked if he could help me. His name was Phil. Phil told me we were just hit with a disaster where people died and all I care about is getting my furniture and he hung up on me Are you kidding me?!! I ended up in tears. After an hour of trying to get through to someone in Customer service, I got a nice girl who apologized (probably because I was crying) she said we were never scheduled for delivery today. I Purchased $5,000 worth of furniture. They scheduled the delivery 3 times, I rearranged my schedule to be here all 3 times. I ask for help on how to get the delivery and his response was so cruel. Maybe they don't need my business anymore. I will be cancelling my delivery and I will never step foot in that store again and I still need more furniture! ASHLEY FURNITURE HOMESTORE - DEFECTIVE FURNITURE & WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!! Bought 25 pieces of furniture, complained about 1 piece (coffee table) that for some reason was scratching at a very high rate (way beyond normal wear and tear) and was obviously missing the top-coat of gloss or finish or whatever (I'm not an expert but you could even feel the difference by touching it compared to other pieces of furniture). Long story short, one of their "experts" came out and told me I would be getting a new table. A week later I called to check and was told by a CSR and her SUPERVISOR ROB that they would not be replacing the table. NO INTEGRITY OR WILLINGNESS TO BACK UP THEIR CRAFTMANSHIP OR LACK THEREOF. Needless to say I will never spend another dime there and will do my best to make sure that no one else that I know does either. read more

Came in on Tuesday looking for a bedroom set got great Service from Jimmy Giovannie. We were still shopping around and wanted to compare prices. As we were about to walk out Pierre the sales manager stopped us and asked if he gave us free delivery if it would change our minds. We still said no we would be back on Friday. Jimmy said ok we'll usually Fridays we have flash sales so hope to see you then. We showed up Friday morning we were the first customers Jimmy was not there but we got helped by a lady who was very sweet and helpful. We showed her the items we were interested in and she got our total. We told her that Pierre offered us free delivery the last time we were in. She went and talk to Pierre and he came to us and said he never said that he argued with us for about 5 to 10 minutes finally agreed he would deliver it and leave on our front door rudely. We decided to not buy anything there and go down the road to Ashley home store in Katy and bought everything we needed and more. I recommend going to Katy location. Wish I had checked out the reviews before my purchase. My furniture was delivered fairly quickly after purchase but every piece was damaged. The delivery guy tells you he'll "order a technician" for you and someone will contact you within a week. BUT DONT FALL FOR THIS TRICK. If you don't call and report the problem yourself within 72 hours then they'll tell you there's nothing they can do because you waited too long to call them!! I explained that I did report the problem - to the delivery guy. Then I'm told they don't even work for Ashley! It's a third party company! As far as I, the customer, know this is an employee or at the very least a representative of their company. They did acknowledge that they are aware that the delivery drivers sometimes tell customers that but still revert back to "you waited too long to call". It almost seems intentional on their part to allow that to continue and then they have a way of denying your repairs. After almost six weeks of hassle - and rudeness - I finally have most of the issues dealt with. The others I will just live with. But I will NEVER purchase anything from Ashley again. read more

My delivery has been delayed three times. I told the lady I was upset about the delay I needed to get my house organized for out-of-town company. She told me to get used to it, she has gotten used to her house being disorganized. It has been nearly a month since I ordered my furniture and I am still missing half of it. This is completely unacceptable! Now they tell me that my furniture may or may not be delivered on Saturday, but only if someone else cancels. I regret having ever bought my furniture for my new home from this furniture store. There is nothing worse than not getting to enjoy your new home with gas because you're embarrassed from all the boxes that need to be unpacked waiting for furniture. I don't know how a store can stay in business with this kind of reputation. Purchased a living room set July 2011 paid 2,287.35 the material shows scratch marks on the LEATHER, from my pets!!! The arm on one of the reclinders you can feel the wood under it already. The Tech who came said I can unsip the arm and restuff. UNACCEPTABLE THREE months of ownership and I have to STUFF the arm??? I have to put my dogs up I have to cover the seats because as soon as the paws touch the material it scratches. Leather cleaner does not work!!! If i could give 0 stars i would. The actual shopping part of everything went very easy except that they do not do deliveries on sundays or mondays, my only two days off. I went ahead and set up a delivery date for my entertainment center, table and chairs on a Saturday and took off of work to be there. When the delivery driver showed up past the expected delivery time i was then informed that my table and chairs where not in the truck. He informed me that i should have been contacted by coustomer service to reschedule. He did not give me the option for him to drop off the entrainment center that he did have on the truck, he just looked at me and said sorry for the inconvenience and walked off. I would have at least wanted him to let me have the entrainment center. When i called coustomer service after waiting 30 mins on hold i did not get a clear answer why my table and chairs where not on the truck and why i was not given the option to receive my entertainment center. She was not able to set up my next delivery date at that time. I recived a voice mail on monday informing me that my new delivery date would be on Thursday witch is completely unacceptable since i already took a day off of work for the first delivery date. I called coustomer service back and again after waiting a very long time on hold i told them that i would not be taking another day off of work and that i would rather go pick up my furniture. When we were ready to go pick everything up we called the wearhouse and were informed we could not pick up later than 5, i do not even get off till 6 and the wearhouse is open till 8! I then called coustomer service again and waited on hold for a very long time again. When i told the coustomer service rep that i had no idea how to get my funiture at this point she went ahead and called the wearhouse and theu told her that i could come pick it up after 5. Why would the wearhouse tell me something that isn't true? Since we picked up our own furniture we were supposed to recive our very expensive delivery charge back. Over the following weeks i recived several voice mails telling me my furniture was ready when we had already picked it up. I called coustomer service again and after waiting on hold forever i informed them i already had my funiture and have not recived deliver charge back.... all in all i will try to tell as many of my clients and as many people as i possibly can to NEVER EVER EVER shop from ashley funiture EVER! The furniture options are fine, but the service was not good at all. The prices in store are often higher than the prices advertised on Ashley's website, so be sure to compare there. When we noted this, they agreed to honor the price but became sort of hostile and rude. The environment is pretty high pressure and they seem to be offended even by logical questions about pricing. In the end, we went to a different Ashley location to make our purchase. I wouldn't recommend shopping at this location. read more

NEVER EVER BUY FROM ashley Furniture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow is all I can say. I've never had a worse experience buying anything. First, I buy 2 bunkbed sets put a big down payment, and was told it would take 3 weeks for delivery.....ok. Well, fast forward 3 weeks, I get a call saying it would be another month before delivery due to a problem with the manufacturer. I got irritated but said ok. Day of delivery finally gets here, yeah, at least I thought. That morning I get a call telling me that one of the mattresses won't be coming with this delivery they would have to reschedule that, but would I accept a partial delivery for the rest. I say yes and waited..........Delivery time came and went, so I call to check status and was told the entire had been cancelled without notifying me. AHHHHHHHH! (By the way took the day off from work for this.) They scheduled to come on next day truck......still not delivered.....and one more time. I then called to ask what was going on. I was then informed that NONE of the mattresses would be delivered because they had been discontinued.....again without notifying me. That was it, I asked for my money back....and now I'm waiting for that to happen. (P.S. my kids are very sad they still don't have any bunkbeds and are sleeping on the ground because I had prepared the day before original delivery day and had to get rid of there old beds.) After much hunting for a good quality leather sofa, I was sold a leather sectional from Ashley furniture with the extended warranty. Within a short time period, the design of the reclining seats cut the wires to the vibrating seats and the buttons came out to turn them on. Also, bolts in the framework started pushing through the leather where the seat folds down for the cup holders. If that wasn't enough, all the leather started crumbling just after a few years, it isn't even leather!!!. I called to have them repaired through the warranty I was sold, the lady asked when I started to notice the issues, then she proceeds to tell me they would not cover any of it because I did not claim it within 14 days! She then tells me she can refer me to a few different companies that can do the repairs at my cost. I was never told I had to put in a claim within two weeks, I was told that I could claim when ever without limitations as long as it was before the warranty expired!! So not only was I sold this fake leather crud at the price of leather, I was also sold a useless 5 year warranty. read more

The protection plan from Ashley was $649.99 while the one online was only $129.99. I asked if they would price match and was pretty much blown off the rest of the time after. Let a brother browse around the store without y'all following me around! I like to walk around slowly looking at every single detail on a furniture before buying it. As soon as I walked in you know they say the nice welcoming, "Hi, do you need any help?" Me that I like to look around first before asking for help I say, "no thank you, I'm just looking around right now." She says, "ok, my name is _________(put any name you want). If you need any help come look for me." I was like alright cool cool cool. I was legit dude just walking around looking at new beds because yo boi needed a new bed. I've been having the same one since avatar came out and my family and I are remodeling the house. Next thing you know the lady is following me around. I went inside the mattress section to look at what they have there. I look behind me she is STILL following me acting like she's folding something. I'm like dude what are you folding?!? Those are mattresses! They have no bed sheets. After looking at a few beds I was low key feeling uncomfortable i felt like i was getting pressured into buying because they kept throwing these specials at me. Like calm down homie. After a couple minutes passed by I decided to leave. However, these ladies didn't budge! I had to ask for a business card and told them that I'm going to check out some other stores and if I can't find a better deal I'll come back. She told me, "if I give me you my business card I think you won't come back." Dam straight I wasn't coming back! They were worst than my ex. OK where to begin, the Salesperson was good, after that everything went south. We waited 1 hour for them to process our purchase of a sleeper sofa. There's more paperwork there than buying a car, granted it was on credit and that is whole other leg. This was at the Houston Willowbrook location, the guy who processing our paperwork kept leaving and checking his cell phone while we were waiting. Add to that he moved so so slow and looked as if he was having a bad day. In order to use our credit we had to buy a minimum purchase amount otherwise we had to pay 10% down? Whatever, so we ended up buying some extra stuff that A) We could not take home that night because it would not release till 24 to 48 hours in the system! They were pillows!!! B) Will not arrive till 3 weeks later!. Moving past that we dropped $1100 plus fees on a sleeper couch with the TEMPURPEDIC mattress that is EXTRA! We decide to do this because our guest has a bad back. Now here is the big issue. WE go pick up the couch and they are , to say the least, some of the least customer service friendly people I have ever had the displeasure to deal with, as if they are doing us a favor. We take home carry it upstairs and guess what, NOT TEMPURPEDIC but the crappy spring mattress! Called the sales agent who also asks us to call the customer service folks as well. this should have been my omen. Customer service assured us that they would have it shipped to us by the 14th of JULY 3 WEEKS LATER! Our guest are here for the 4th of July weekend. Apparently they had received an email from the store manager. My wife asked me to call them at this time because that was unacceptable since a) we paid for the mattress b) the time line was not going to work. I called Customer service back who told me to talk to the store manager. Store manager told me that "if that is the way customer service in corporate wants to handle it there is nothing else I can do" and also told me that "this is just the revolution of things" that we "received a perfectly good mattress and corporate has decided to deal with it in that matter." THIS IS ALL SORTS OF WRONG. He transfers me to customer service and I speak with someone who assures me that it will be here at the warehouse on June 29th and told me to call them back on that day to check. I called back, the person, did not know what to do and she would not let me talk, Finally told her that she needed to listen to me, explained all over again and after putting me on hold came back and said well it was supposed to be at the warehouse. She then proceeded to say things like it not normal that it was shipped to you directly and that they are trying their best. Finally after the second hold asking to speak to a manager she said she would call the parts department. Came back again after the hold and told me "YES THE MATTRESS IS AT THE WAREHOUSE." I called my wife (as I was at work) who loads up the kids and the spring mattes and drives herself over there just to find out, guess what, the mattress is not there! We call customer service again, they tell us it will be there and we would get a call the next day. The warehouse lady called back that same day to let us know that they did not get it try again tomorrow. So we call back yesterday, guess what, NOT THERE! We call customer service again, another lie, they said it was there but had not been offloaded. Called customer service today, finally get the truth, it's on backorder till the 14th! We want our money back or at the least compensated for our gas, lies we where told,time and inconvenience. Waiting on response now as to when they will pick it up. Note: The second customer service rep that I spoke to had said that we had the couch for over 48 hours and would not be able to return it....I explained that no we had and incomplete order. read more

TERRIBLE customer service and even worse furniture quality! I bought a couch in June, when it was delivered I noticed something wrong with the back but didn't think much of it the sofa table was going to cover it. Less than a week and the couch broke, called customer service and it took them almost a month to come and take a look at it, said it was fixable so I couldn't get a replacement. Two months pass and no one is able to sit on the couch finally they come and fix it only to have the guy break my tile. He didn't put anything on my floor to protect it from all the hammering and drilling he was doing. As soon as the guy leaves I noticed the chip on the tile and called customer service, sent them pictures only to have them call me back that they need to send someone to take more pictures. Three weeks pass and the same guy that fixed my couch and broke my tile comes and takes the pictures only to tell me that he didn't do it. Really??!!!! Like he's going to admit it??!! I called customer service for the eighth time only to find out that they don't know anything because their in home claim damage is through another company and so is the company that fixes the furniture, but they can't give me the number to call I have to wait for them to call ME! These people are sending people that don't work for them into my home! In the meantime I have a broken tile on my living room floor that sticks up like a sore thumb, and no one knows what's going to happen. Their customer service reps don't know anything and leave you on hold for a long time hoping you get tired and hang up. Went to Ashley Furniture in Willowbrook and bough over $3,000 in bedroom furniture for my children and after it took them 2 weeks to deliver the furniture when they were setting it up they did not have the bed slats for my daughter's bed... they stated that they must have forgot them and that they would be delivered... it is now been 12 days later and I still have not received them... I have been getting the run about from the store and the warehouse for almost 2 weeks.. no one can seem to locate the slats for the bed and every time I call I have to tell my story over and over again because no one seems to know what I am talking about. They even had me go to the warehouse to pick up some slats and when I got home the ones they gave me did not even fit on my daughters bed!! I went back to warehouse and they could not provide me with anything! The store manager promised to call me and now after 4 days I still have not heard from him!!! I finally just had to go to Home Depot and get the slats made to fit my daughter's bed. I will NEVER EVER do business with Ashley Furniture again and I will continue to spread the word about their horrible customer service and how they deliver and sale half ass furniture. read more
