Also was delivered wrong table for the 2nd time they screwed up then was given wrong barstools in different colors. Took off three times now to get correct stuff and delivery of table was set for this Saturday and they never showed! This Ashley store just opened and I will caution anyone out there to STAY AWAY! The in-store experience was fine - welcoming, not pushy, quick check-out, etc. 3 stars. But after that... here's our story. We ordered an L-shaped sectional with a sleeper inside and an ottoman. We were told 2 weeks for delivery because the sleeper was on back order. The third week we got a call saying they'd deliver all but the sleeper - it would come in 2 weeks. I nicely explained my discontent. They called that evening saying in 1 week they could deliver it all. That day came and they brought the sectional/sleeper and no ottoman. It apparently was on back order the whole time. They left my front door open for 30 min making the delivery (June in Houston!); wore no booties; rather than 2 guys carrying the over-sized cushion for the chaise, one guy carried it and balanced it on his sweaty head; cushions were left haphazardly on the couch, including one on the floor across the room, and the metal ties from the sleeper were left on my floor. Here I sit waiting on the ottoman that has now missed it's delivery window and I've received no phone call. read more

My best friend recommended this place for good furniture and a great price. So we went last week to purchase a bedroom set. Our salesperson was very helpful, but surprisingly not pushy. We liked that. The last place that we came from(not going to mention names), but was very obnoxious and rude. Anyway, he took his time to show us around and we fell in love with one of the sets. Also bought a mattress set, a Simmons i think... Didn't know they carried mattresses, but got a great deal, 20% off entire sale. That was their promotion at that time... My furniture was delivered Saturday around 7:45, although the delivery window was between 4:30- 7:30. They were a few minutes late, but the driver called me and told me that they were running late due to traffic or something. The drivers were nice and courteous. Worst company on the planet. No customer service at all. 5 times they have tried to deliver my bedroom set and each time something was broken! No they make me out to be the bad guy because i just want the BROKEN dresser at my house and nightstands that has to be fixed as well picked up and no charges or restocking fees. No part of 5 attempts to deliver furniture and bed set being broken each time is not ok or in any normal! I've been to the store 3 times... called countless more, no one ever answers at the store. I've called the "customer care" number several times told my story and all i get is "there is nothing we can do." When do you stop caring about your money, and take care of the customer? My girlfriend and I, purchased a bedroom set a little after thanksgiving. We scheduled delivery for Jan 4th 2020. So they had a month to get everything. First delivery attempt was just the dresser. So first attempt is a fail because they had a month to get all the pieces and didn't. Further more the dresser was broken at that. We had to call and schedule a tech to come out and fix dresser. Second delivery attempt, two weeks after first delivery attempt. tech has not been out to attend to dresser, keep in mind. This time the bed frame and night stands are due to arrive. One of the night stands is chipped and head board is broken. They take bed frame back and i agree for tech to touch up night stand along with dresser. Third delivery attempt, still no tech to fix dresser and touch up night stand. This attempt they don't even take bedding out of truck tell me it's broken and to reschedule. Fourth deliver attempt, The next week the tech comes out to do dresser and night stand. Along with attempted delivery of bed frame again. Tech Does the night stand no problem, takes a look at the dresser the wood is broken on inside and tech says "this may not be fixable." Says to refuse the service and they will send a new dresser and take this one. But guess what, truck shows up again doesn't get bed frame out of truck says it's broken again. Call to reschedule. At this point we start calling to get customer service because no one has reached out to make sure we are ok or how everything has been, or notice something has been broken every time out. Anyway, we call customer care they say "oh, you want compensation, you have to call store." We try and try to call the store no one ever answers. So i go up to store the next day which is a Thursday, i tell my story and ask for half off bed set for the inconvenience, the manager was not in that day and was told no one there can make that decision but manger and i would have to come back. I ask can't the manager call me and handle this over the phone. They respond yes i will leave your number and sales order for manager. Friday comes manager never calls, so i go up there Saturday evening. Talk to associate and tell her manager never called, she goes and talks to manager comes back and says what can I help you with? I say look we just want delivery fee and taxes taken off and we will be happy. The associate says oh, ok i can do that. Gives me paper showing it is done. Bed is scheduled now to come that following Monday between 530 and 830 Delivery attempt #5, truck doesn't show until 820 pm and again bed is broken and don't get out of truck, they were scheduled to pick up dresser but of course didn't. Now i want everything picked up and no charges to me, not to much to ask. But what do i get when i call customer care again, i get sorry you shouldn't have left anything at your house we don't take back furniture left. I ask for someone hire up a regional managers number the ceo of Ashley HomeStore i don't care i need someone that understands this has not been in anyway normal and just want to be rid of all this. I purchased a bedroom set and when it was delivered the footboard was scratched and the metal handle on the dresser drawer was broken off and a few of the drawers wouldn't completely close and had broken hinges. Ashley homestore scheduled an exchange and when the second dresser arrived that was damaged worse with dents and cracked wood. Well, they made ANOTHER attempt to bring dresser number 3 and that condition was worse than the others with more damages and cracked wood. I will never buy from them again. They don't care about the quality of their furniture, only the money they make. They keep wanting to reschedule furniture exchanges, when it should've been right the first time. They lost me as a loyal customer and I will gladly purchase from their competitors. All of the employees, including customer service, and their corporate store are nonchalant and could care less about the customers dissatisfaction. DO NOT SHOP AT ANY STORE. The furniture is poor quality and cheaply made. They will not compensate you at all for the hassle. They will only route you to different phone numbers and depart DVD's within the company. I was in need of a mattress and since I had an awesome experience getting my dining table and couch from Ashley (from another location), I thought it would be the perfect place to get my mattress. Boy was I wrong. when my parents and I first walked in we talked with a salesman about mattresses and we tested a few out. We asked him if they would take away my old mattress, when they deliver the new one, as Mattress Firm does that, he said yes. That was the first mistake I made as it was a verbal agreement and nothing was written down. I received my mattress yesterday and although I like the mattress, the 2 delivery boys, yes boys, said "where would u like us to put the mattress?" I was confused as I was told they would take away the old mattress. I asked them if they were taking the old one away and he said no. Unless you pay us. Excuse me? I am a young woman living alone and I can not manage taken out an old mattress by myself. I told them to hang on while I call the store and they asked for a pen, I signed the delivery receipt and they bolted out the door. I stood there upset after they left and decided to head to the store and talk with a manager. I got there, walked in, asked for the manager and saw the salesman who sold me the mattress. I told him, In a pissed off voice, that they didn't take the old mattress and he said "they didn't! I'm so sorry". The manager finally was able to see me after waiting and I explained the situation which he then said "it is our policy not to take away an old mattress. We have never done that and I don't know of any company that does that." (Gallery Furniture, Mattress Firm etc.) I said they needed to come back and pick it up the new mattress and I needed a refund and he said since I already signed the receipt, I am stuck with the mattress and there is nothing he can do. If I could give Ashley's no stars that is what I would rate them. Unfortunately my experience with Ashley's Home Store has been TERRIBLE. I was hoping that our relationship was done once my pieces were delivered... finally. But unfortunately not. One of the pieces they delivered inside my home had BED BUGS! Once I realized our piece had bed bugs I immediately called their guest response team. Guest response team has been incredibly unhelpful & unorganized! They keep telling me I have to talk to a Carolyn Simmons. Ms. Simmons have been avoiding me like the plague. I came here hoping that the store that sold me the piece that was delivered with bed bugs would be able to help me get in contact with Carolyn or rectify this issue..at least an exchange for something that does not have bed bugs. AM, Nick was trying to help. Told me he could possibly issue an exchange as long as I had photos. I told him I did. He then spoke to store Manager, Elliot and Elliot was absolutely NO help! He told me I had to call Guest Response Team. I told him I tried calling about 10 times today and I have been avoided or hung up on. I then asked him if he could call for me. He said no. As a store manger I would expect a little more help considering the issue. How am I supposed to call a number where no one is willing to help me. I also have photos to proof all of this! (First time matress buyers) My fianceé and I went in to purchase a matress and Wesley Boyd greeted us, though we did not need to be helped right away he gave us his name and said to let him know when we were ready. We had already done extensive research on the matress we wanted, we just needed to be sure that was the one. (Bonita Springs Pillowtop). After laying on both beds, we made our decision and headed back to Wesley for the purchase. He was friendly and very easy-going. I am beyond LIVID with the poor quality in sales service and communication from this store. I bought a few pieces of furniture in the month of October 2021 and was promised it would be here by the middle of November 2021 and here is is, the END OF JANUARY 2022 and I still have not received anything. I am very upset more of the quality of communication from sales associates and managers from this location. I have already been reassigned to another sales associate who barely responds or returns my messages. I definitely understand the back orders that have occurring with many furniture store but the lack of communication regarding this has been HORRIBLE. I have been trying to get this resolved for months now but it seems a though no one has the answers for me. I call constantly and barely receive responses for anyone to take action. It took almost 3 weeks for me to settle on something other than what I wanted. I called NUMEROUS times in the meantime and would get "We submitted a ticket, call back in 48 hours." I walked in there to inquire about my online purchase to see about what time the delivery was going to be. They laughed in my face and were like "is the furniture able to break up into smaller pieces?" (The answer was yes!) but they decided to laugh about it, and tell me to call customer service cuz they know nothing about online orders. Now I was in a conversation with 2 sales reps. (The two older men who were mocking me) and the office woman sitting at her computer and NO ONE was able to assist me. Poor customer service and since I spent over $1k, I expected them to have a better system where they can even look up my online order at THEIR STORE! Sure enough my sofa, love seat, and side tables came via UPS. In huge heavy boxes. I expected more from these employees' or at least to know how there online orders are shipped. Disrespectful. They even rudely said "you should have ordered it online, you should of ordered it here and then we could help you." The other guy just yelled "call customer service" while walking away. And your supposed to be the manager with that kinda of attitude towards your business potentials? This gift was for my little brothers first apartment. Think twice about this company because they will tell you anything to get a sale. But once they are finished with you, you are a stranger! I'm very disappointed with Ashley Furniture. Salesman at the store was very helpful. We expressed we wanted furniture and the delivery soon. We paid in cash. We were told the bed rails were not in stock at the moment but would be in 2 weeks. We waited 2 weeks, had furniture delivered BUT no rails, STILL! I refused the bed cause it wasn't complete. I took the dresser and night stand. A week later, another delivery was attempted and STILL NO bed!! Scheduled another delivery, guaranteeing that this time the the bed would be complete. GUESS WHAT? Still no rails, no bed. Here we are a month later and no BED!! We called customer service and the lady said the rails were going to be at the warehouse this Thursday and the soonest we would have our bed delivered is by Saturday. Called again today to double check all info. NOW, they are saying no where in the system does it say that they have all parts available this week. In their system it says until JULY 15th, this is estimating. Tried calling the store and no one answered. This is absolutely frustrating and ridiculous. At this point I don't even want the furniture anymore. I keep getting the run around by everyone,also wrong dates and wrong information each time we call. Is this how this store conducts business? Please take my advice, take your business elsewhere. Seems like once they have their money they don't really care what happens after. I will never purchase from here again, this is my second time purchasing from Ashley and both times we have had issues. RUN as fast as you can away from this company. The salesmen are great at the store, however it's the company in general that has no clue as to what quality products are nor do they have a clue as to what customer service is. Furthermore they will care less if they've retained or lost your future business! Since they are charging pricing for good quality furniture you generally expect everything about them to be of quality, it's bi-polar opposite of that. We purchased a couch set and a dining room table set from this store. Within 6 months the table and all chairs are peeling...yes peeling! That's not the quality we paid for. Called customer service to see what could be done, they needed pictures of the issues. Uploaded them, set an appointment and no one showed up. Called within our allotted scheduled time and there's no appointment because they don't have pictures, even though the rep confirmed receiving them. Scheduled a second appointment with little apology for the inconvenience. Furniture "expert" shows up states this will always be a problem with the table due to material used. Called customer service and fought for them to at minimum exchange the table out for a different one. They came back with exchanging the table only...hmm to the set we bought, I don't think so because we'd be forced to choose the same table. Escalated this up and we were cleared to exchange the set. Yay!! NOPE! We are still dealing with trying to now get it acknowledged by customer service to have it delivered and old table removed. We spent 2 hours at the store again to pick the new table. PLEASE UNDERSTAND read the fine print because they WILL KEEP YOUR MONEY if your new choice is less than the original. The salesman said yes this happens all the time. If your exchange is less than original purchase ASHLEY FURNITURE keeps that as pure profit!!!! So for the last week we've been dealing with the reps they call customer service reps. They have lost the ticket for the new table..no one can locate it. They are unapologetic and actually have an attitude about having to assist customers. Understand these aren't the reps answering the phones that are clueless...it's the supervisors that are supposed to have answers for customers and solutions to the issue! Please don't have that expectation folks! They only tell you what they can't do or what they can't find and basically you waste your breathe and time speaking with them because they are going to have to call you back if they get around to it. 9 times out of 10 you will have to call them! I purchased a bed in the store back in October 2021. I got my bed delivered February 2022. Unfortunately I didn't pay to get the bed built at my house, about a week later when I had gotten rid of my old bed to start building my new bed, the bed was missing many pieces. I've called customer service multiple times. The first time I spoke to a customer service representative he said someone would contact me to go to my house and see what pieces are missing so they can be ordered. A few days pass and I don't hear back from no one. I call back and a new customer service representative put an order for the missing pieces. About 2 weeks later all I received were the screws to the bed. I start doing my own research and see that I can order parts online. I proceed to order the parts that are missing for the bed (this was back in March 11, 2022). I called customer service to see when I would receive these parts, they said some time in May. May is now almost ending and I have not received anything. I call back today and now they are telling me the estimated time is the middle of July and it's not a guaranteed estimated time. I understand we are having shortages but it's unfair that I purchased a brand new bed and it's missing pieces to put together. I paid for a bed I can't even use. Very frustrating. read more

The staff in store was very helpful. Michael Brown was my salesperson and he was very friendly. My issue is with the delivery or non-delivery of furniture that was paid for over a month ago. I purchased the furniture on July 27 and was told it would be delivered on Sept. 3. We took my grandson's bed down and had the bedroom empty and excitedly waited for the delivery truck. After not hearing anything by noon, we called the number on the receipt and a rude customer service person told me that that was just the estimated date, 'it might be ready by the 16th'. Meanwhile my grandson is sleeping on the floor. What are we supposed to do, just hope they decide to deliver it one day. I'll never buy anything from Ashley again. This store's customer service is TERRIBLE. I purchased a bedroom set for my 11 year old. The delivery was delayed months, and when it arrived, it was incomplete. Long story short, after delivery of the wrong items, I never received the missing part to the furniture. I got the run around on the phone, I went to the store, and was promised they would take care of me - never to hear back. I emailed the national site, was told this store is individually owned, and they would forward my complaint to the store manager - only to never hear back. This store is awful. I will not buy from Ashley furniture again. I bought a beautiful Signature series wood kitchen table; after a few months the finish started flaking. Called customer service to make a claim, and they refused to honor their warranty stating that moisture had caused the issue, based on a review of the pic we sent. Based on this I should not use water to clean the table nor place any beverages on the table which could spill. Never a problem with any other tables I have purchased. I will replace this with a table from somewhere else, otherwise I will never have tea with my meals if I buy from Ashley again. Disappointed. read more

I love my couches. Recliner is made very cheap... all particle board. If you buy from them, pick it up yourself if you can or make sure you hassle them about your delivery on the day it's due at your location. Delivery service is TERRIBLE! I got a text saying my items would arrive at my home within 1 hour and I waited 2 hours and nothing came. I called and the agent told me they already went to my house and no one was home and that they took a picture as proof. No one was going to call me to tell me they were lost, instead they were ready to return my items to the factory. I called to get a status right before my time frame was up, had I not called I would have had to wait for another week or two for delivery. I also spent 10-15 minutes on the phone the day before pin pointing my home because the address did not show up on the gps. I gave exact instructions to my home and a contact number in case they got lost. Extremely disappointed! I was given a $50 inconvenience store credit and an explanation that there's nothing they could have done different since I did in fact get my items. read more

I have the worst experience when purchasing items from Ashley Furniture. If there was negative stars, I'd definitely give them. I purchased a couch, a chair, and a new mattress at the store where is on 1960 and 249. The saleman whose name is Pierre told me if there is an old mattress at my house, they'll take it back when the new mattress is delivered. Then, the deliver just was on August 23, and the men who did the deliver didn't take back my old mattress. I asked for the reason and was told that they don't know. What????? I called the customer care the day later to solve the problem, and the lady whose name is Rose told me that they'll take the old mattress on my next deliver ONLY IF THEY HAVE ROOM ON THEIR TRUCK. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE, NO PROMISES. When I said that I didn't purchase the new mattress if the saleman said the things she did. And then, she said she will put a note and they will take it. How ridiculous!! Today, I got a voicemail which says that my old mattress has to be NO STAIN, otherwise, they don't take it back. I was also asked to capture my old mattress and send the pics to them to prove that there is no stain.I wasn't told that thing when I purchased the new one. All they want to do is to push me buy their stuff, and then, they have no responsibilities. The staff working at Customer Care isn't nice either. I never buy anything from them!! I recently bought my new comfort pedic bed here. I love it. Our salesman shaun was very knowledgable and informative but not pushy. I received my bed exactly when he said i would but the pillows took a few trips. apparantly they were discontinued but luckily another store saved the day. I was finally able to get my pillows. Since my new bed my body aches have dissapeared. Thought i was getting old but it was my former bed! warning though... once you buty something here they are done. dont care much about the finals. salesmen make the sale then you are with the customer service dept and they are very insufficient. My husband and I had a great experience here. We hesitated because of the reviews, but since we were in the area, we stopped in to look around. Unlike some of the other stores in the area, we weren't swarmed when we came in to the store. Maria offered her help, and was patient, and helpful. We ended up purchasing a living room and dining table. Girls behind the counter were great!! We met the manager, and even got a tip or two from the store decorator. The delivery was later that week, and was on time. (This is what we were the most afraid of, because of the reviews). Our experience was great. We could track the delivery truck on line, which helped us, because we had things to do... (it was a Saturday, after all!!) First off, my experience in-store was great. I love the bed set I purchased, and the furniture is great quality. Everyone was helpful and friendly, and the buying experience itself was wonderful. My review has to do with the service I have received after the purchase, which has not been great. I have been having problems with receiving a replacement for a product that I bought March 2016. The delivery was on Saturday, April 1st. I received a new bedroom set. . The delivery went smoothly until one of the delivery men noticed one of the drawers that went into the bed was broken. He ordered a replacement while he was still here. A month later, I still had not received the replacement. Due to the flooding, deliveries had been delayed, so I waited a few more weeks. When I called in May, customer care told me the drawer had been delivered, but I was confused as I had no deliveries. They sent it to the wrong address, and had it accidentally delivered to the warehouse in Houston. I called them, but they could not place it, and recommended I call customer care to get it reordered, which is what I did. At the end of May, they placed a delivery, confirming my address nearly a dozen times before we hung up. Unfortunately, they got my address wrong again, putting "Houston" instead of "Spring," and again, it was delivered to the wrong address. They have had to reorder it again. I am very disappointed with the service I have received. This is a matter of typing in an address correctly which seems like your customer care is unable to do. This would be the third time I am ordering something that is integral to the bed, as I ordered it for the extra storage, and now I cannot use it because of a broken drawer. It has been three months, and I still have no replacement. I will be finding another furniture store because the customer care for Houston seems like they are unable to do their job. If I could review just the customer care department on here, I would, but since this is the only option, I have to put it under the store. I am sorry. read more

On 04/28/2018 I purchased a bedroom set that was delivered on 05/8/2018. When the bedroom set arrived the bed rails were defective and the store said that I had to wait for the new rails to arrive. I called the store today and was transferred to their Corporate office where a Manager by the name of Kanita Miller said that the rails will not be available until June 8th of 2018. I explained to her that when I ordered the bedroom set I was told that it would arrived on May 8 and I told them that this bedroom set was for my grandmother who moved out here on May 1st. I explained to her that the bed is for a 90 year old elderly lady who has been sleeping in my bed, which is too high for her, since she arrived and I am afraid that she might fall off my bed. Ms. Miller continued to say that this is how they do business. I asked her if I was just supposed to grin and bear the situation and she said that that was exactly I was supposed to do. Ms. Miller also said that I paid for what I got and my reply was I did not pay for a defective item. At that point I asked her for Corporate's phone number and her reply was that I was talking to someone in corporate. I was transferred to the corporate office by the local store. Ms. Miller also said to the effect that I can't always get what I want. I also spoke to Store Manager Renitha Portel, who also said that she needs to talk to customer service. Ms Portel said that she will not override them and give me what I want. Ms. Portel called me back a few hours later alleging that she had found a temporary solution. She was going to deliver adjustable metal bed frame so that that grandmother can have access to the bed. As of 05/25/2018 we are still using the mattress with the cheap frame they delivered on 05/11/2018. We are unable to use the original bed frame with the headboard and foot board that I paid a good amount of money for. This is a disgrace. I know that I can't always get what I want but at least I would like to get what I paid for. read more

AWFUL Customer Service!!! We went in 06/24/15, and purchased furniture. We were told everything was in stock & would be delivered the next day. Called the store the next day to find out delivery time slot, and was told I'd have to call a 800 for customer service to get that info...girl I spoke with was dis-interested in helping me. I called 800# and was told I did not have a delivery scheduled AT ALL. So she scheduled for the following day, 06/26. I called the store back & left a message for the manager regarding the situation, no one returned my call. On 06/26 I checked the online delivery & noticed we had 1 item missing from our delivery. I called Customer Service (by passing the store, since they still had not called me back). Customer Service confirmed the 1 item that was missing, and I was told they had no ETA on the piece!! But, customer service rep did following a few days later to let me know when it would be available. When the delivery arrived on 06/26 it was missing more than 1 piece!! It was missing a total of 4 pieces. One piece was not ordered by our sales person to complete a daybed with trundle drawer, and the sale person tried to tell me that I had to pay extra for the piece...additional an additional $150 to the original price that HE QUOTED!!! After I explained all of my frustrations to the sales person he had the manager call me. Manager, Renista, was unapologetic for my frustrations but did provide the missing piece at no charge. Conversation was short & she seemed dis-interested as well. But supposedly everything was fixed & scheduled to be delivered 07/02/15. So today is 07/02/15...In total I've spent about 3 hours on hold/speaking with customer service, and about 30 minutes talking to the local store. I checked my delivery online...and guess what...WE'VE GOT MORE MISSING PIECES!!!!!!!!!! Called customer service...they assure me I'm only missing 3 pieces not 4; which was not what I was originally told...and that 2 of 3 pieces will be delivered today, the last piece will be available 07/09. I'm about to call the sales person...I'm extremely upset that furniture ordered & promised to me on 06/25 may not even be here by 07/09!!!!!! read more

We went in specifically for one couch and were ready to pay upfront and in cash. MARIA showed us we had a better option and gave us 5 years of financing for the entire living room set, no downpayment and no interest for 5 years! Our payments are super low and we are beyond satisfied with her help and our new living room. Will recommend her service to everyone! read more

This is my favorite go to place for all our furniture. We are currently shopping for new bedroom furniture. The hardest part is, I live all of Ashley Homestores selection! The staff goes above and beyond to help us and have been very patient. We will continue to use the Willowbrook location when we redecorate our guest bedroom and living room. I am so very disappointed in the way I was treated today. I purchased a table 2 weeks ago. I asked for a Saturday delivery and was told they would call me two days before my deliver date. I hadn't received a call and so I called them. They told me that the table I had was given to someone else because they could pick up the table. So now my table was on back order until December 28th. Now I have no table for Christmas. I was also told that purchases were first come first serve. Am I mistaken in thinking that I purchased the table 2 weeks ago and I was the first one to purchase the table??? I will NEVER shop here again. The customer service representatives did not care and would not let me talk to a manager. Very poor customer service. read more

Never will I ever step foot into this store again. Inside sales team was wonderful. Attentive and very helpful. But it seems like there operation outside of the show rooms is a disaster. You can't get anyone on the phone or your on hold for 45 mins. They deliver in pieces.. which I found multiple people I knew felt with the same issue. They were suppose to deliver a bedroom set to me. Show up with the head board and mirror .. next week show up with the rails ! It would of been four deliveries to get my entire set. I returned it all and asked for a refund. Couldn't get them to come on Tuesday as planned so they finally picked up there stuff Friday . Here we are the next Tuesday and I'm waiting on my refund. There outside operations SUCK. Run while you can. Gallery furniture is amazing. Went that night after being so frustrated with Ashley and got my bedroom set that night. Yesterday I went and bought a couch and had it within two hours . WORTH IT. read more

One Star because ZERO isn't an option. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE! This was literally THE WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had. I am so glad today was the last I time I will have to deal with them. For a national company their whole system is outdated and antiquated. My experience began fine with our sales woman Emma allowing us to browse the store without being too pushy or lurking obviously behind us (a welcome change). We picked out a few thousand dollars worth of furniture, but then Emma went to the computer, this is where the story begins to go bad. She was having trouble with their outdated system and we waited almost an hour while she ran from computer to computer to no avail. We decided not to purchase that day as we were short on time by this point. We came back later that week to finalize the purchase. We bought a King bed headboard and foot board, two twin box springs for the king bed (we already had the mattress) a dresser, two night stands, a dining room table and six chairs. The dresser and night stands would be a separate shipment because they were on back order. The purchase again took close to an hour and remember we already had everything picked out! The first delivery day comes and I receive the dining room table and the six chairs. While one guy is screwing the table together the other was carrying the box springs upstairs. Then they both go outside and call me out, to tell me the headboard is a different fabric from the footboard and another color. They leave the bed on the truck and leave the boxspring upstairs. When I unwrapped the box springs one of them was damaged completely, ripped fabric, broken wood, corner smashed. I take another day off to receive the bed and on the day of delivery, I get no confirmation call or email so I call customer service to be told they don't have a delivery for me scheduled that day so we reschedule again and I take ANOTHER day off. The bed comes on that day, BUT no replacement boxspring so I will have to take ANOTHER day off, number four at this point. The day comes and my box spring gets replaced (rejoice). Now the day for the dresser and night stands to be delivered is approaching, I have taken this day off too. Guess what? Right, they are not coming that day and I have to take my SIXTH DAY OFF!!!! Well today was day off number six and you can believe I was sure something would go wrong... The pieces came unscathed however the delivery guys ran their dolly through the mud outside and then drove it right into my house across the rug leaving muddy tire and foot prints. You might ask what Ashley Furniture did for me to compensate me for this nightmare. The first time things went wrong they gave me a $100 store credit. $100 dollars. Have they shopped in an Ashley store before? I was reluctant to go in, but I knew I was only looking for something small I could take with me, I wouldn't have anything delivered from them if it was free and my life depended on it. When I had to reschedule a sixth day off they credited me $59.99 plus tax. $59.99 plus tax went back onto my card from the original purchase. What did I get with my $100 store credit you may ask. Well after browsing the store I settled on a rug that was on clearance. I would have to spend $7 dollars out of pocket, but it was really all I could find. I had to sign a paper of course saying that I couldn't return, exchange or get a refund for it because it was on sale and then it literally took 40 minutes. To take $7 dollars. In cash. 40 MINUTES!!! Then I get the rug home to find that they had used some industrial strength tape on it and as I pulled it off it took the carpet fibers with it, remember the "no refunds, no exchanges" paper?? Yeah, I'm stuck with a rug with a bald spot. Way to go Ashley Furniture! Again, DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE!!! I promise you there are better stores, with better customer service. I have spent thousands at both Star and Gallery furniture and had great experiences at both of those stores. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! read more
