BUYER BEWARE!!! Purchased sectional sofa and multiple furniture pieces to redo my den in September 2017. The staff at this location is very nice but unfortunately many of the pieces came originally damaged and even replacements were damaged as well. Drivers try to camouflage or hide the issues so that you'll then be forced to deal with main customer service. Three months later, I have yet to have what I paid for. Technicians have been sent to my home on multiple occasions but either were unable to fix the issues or in some cases made them worse. Technicians will openly tell you that Ashley's furniture is poor quality and customer service is not interested in correcting the issues but rather hope you get so tired and frustrated that you eventually give up, which I have totally seen! I was undecided between making my purchases for my den update through Ashley or Raymour and Flanigan. I recommend that if you can get comparable furniture at Raymour and Flanigan down the road, it's the better choice even if cost is a little higher, less aggravation and higher quality. UPDATE: The Corporate Phone Number for Escalations is 608-323-3377. This is the direct Corporate Office phone number with a receptionist, it is not a general Customer Service number where you are put into a que. Ask for Customer Escalation Department or ask to be connected to Tom Wanek's office (CEO). I spoke with a live person and it seems they have internally escalated... we will see! UPDATE: Customer Service "Escalation" Manager scheduled another technician to come to our home and inspect the damaged pieces on December 23rd before the holiday. We took the appointment to just have everything resolved as soon as possible. Technician was very polite when coming to home, assessed the defects, told us he was going to put into Ashley that the piece of the sectional was defective and needing replacement. Today, December 27th, received call from Ashley telling us that technician put in that we refused service to sofa and they cannot replace. This company is just blatantly criminal! I guess it's time to file small claims suit because they just have/send busted furniture and they will resort to lying before giving you what you supposedly paid for. read more

By far the worst experience I have ever had purchasing anything. The customer service is terrible. No one is willing to help with anything. The front desk girl Samantha is rude and has a nasty attitude. Customer service reps are disgusting as well. The return policy is ridiculous. I spent almost $8k in the store for them to tell me I cant exchange one piece. Once its signed for there is no exchange or returns. The coffee table that we ordered was delivered on time by polite drivers. As soon as they left, we noticed that the table was full of [drilled] holes; 13 on the top and 18 further down. It is impossible to reach customer service; the wait time exceed 1 1/2 hours. I have alerted the credit card company to dispute the charge. What a lot of aggravation. read more

Don't buy a floor model from here unless you have a group of friends and a pickup truck ready to grab it off the display floor, wrap it yourself, and push it in the back on your own. Don't expect a phone call from the manger after you call corporate to try to get through to anyone. Don't expect anyone at the store to help you unless you have cash on hand to help you put it in the truck. Whatever you do, DO NOT PURCHASE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY, it does not cover much and it's a total waste of money. We had purchased a dining table and had the 5 year ext. warranty. We noticed that beneath the table where the built in leaf folded under, there was split piece of wood rail through the middle of the rail. It was an imperfection in the would grain. We called the store and they told us the warranty was a third party and good luck trying to get them to cover it. After 14 calls, yes 14, the 3rd party continued to refuse the repair and stopped taking my calls. When we called the store, they said there was nothing they could do about it. read more

Do not Buy and Ashley's Furniture! Don't stop keep driving. There are plenty of furniture stores on Long Island that sells better quality furniture and offers better customer service. We bought a sofa from Ashley's and it has such a terrible chemical odor smell we have to keep the couch covered with a sheet or a blanket so it doesn't transfer to our clothing or onto our animals coats. Ashley's refuses to do anything and will not allow you to speak to a manager when you call their customer service number in New Jersey. Seriously I am not exaggerating go somewhere else spend a little extra money so you don't have to deal with the headache and the furniture that smells like piss. read more

I went to the Lake Grove store twice to look at couches, and Teressa helped me both times. She was a delight - totally patient with me (a first time couch buyer who had no idea what she wanted), asked the right questions to drill down to what my preferences really were and what was holding me back. When I found my couch but wasn't sold due to the pillows, she went through the store to find six other options for me! Totally went above and beyond and I happily bought my couch from her yesterday. Excited to get it in a few weeks. I would totally recommend going into this store and working with her! read more

This is a nightmare. I placed an order thinking everything will be deliver like they said it would. It was on the delivery date that I noticed one of the item that I had order was not delivered. I made a large purchase when the delivery guys asked to sign for it I saw that the item that I didn't receive was on there too. I wasn't going to sign for something I did not receive. I placed four call out to customer service and after being place on hold for multiple times and to have a response like call back later, I found out one of the item that I ordered was on backorder. I was not notify ahead of time but I was like give them the benefit of the doubt, things like this happen. It's a week later, I have not receive a phone call or even a message as to update me what is going on. So, I called customer service two times today and to place on hold for 30 minutes and then to explain my situation and then to be placed on hold again for another 20 minutes until I hang up because I decided to call at a later time hoping there will be less wait time. So later that day, I made a another call out to customer service and I guess I was lucky because I was only placed on hold for 15 minutes before speaking to someone and after I explained the situation the call ended. I cannot even explain how frustrated I was. I called again, placed on hold again, and I guess I was lucky because it was same person who I spoke to earlier so I didn't need to explain the situation over. But the reply that I receive was there is no date and that I should speak to the lake grove store where I purchase everything from and that he was going to transfer my call. During the transfer, the phone rang twice and then the call ended. This is the most unprofessional way to run a business. I, the customer have to track information on my missing item. All this frustration could have been avoided, if someone would have contacted me ahead of time to tell me the item is on backorder or someone care enough or did there job to update me as to what is going on. read more

I had purchased a dining set for nearly $2000 in early November 2019, but most pieces were delivered damaged. I have yet to have all pieces replaced. The table and server were finally replaced after several phone calls with customer service staff who lied to me about not being able to get a manager on the phone to help resolve my problems. The backs of 2 chairs had to be ordered, and once delivered I was to call to schedule someone to replace the damaged parts. However, one of the replacement parts for a chair was also damaged. I initially contacted the salesperson in Lake Grove who has not helped. No one contacted me to address anything until I wrote a bad review. And now, to add insult to injury, I got a call from someone at @AshleyHomestore offering to take 10% off the cost of the damaged chairs if I just keep the damaged chairs. What kind of company would make an offer not to replace damaged goods they delivered to a paying customer? And a pathetic offer at that. This is the worst transaction I have ever had the misfortune to be part of. read more

Our salesman was wonderful. It went downhill from there. We ordered a tv stand in July. We were totally fine waiting the 2 weeks for delivery. We get a call a few days before the piece was to be delivered. One person said it was damaged in transit. Another person said it got stuck in the ordering process and didn't go through. We were told another 2 weeks. A bit frustrated, we requested to have the delivery fee reimbursed, which was accommodated. We never heard anything the morning the delivery was supposed to take place, and called. We were told it would not be in for another week and a half..and that was not a guarantee!!! I would have been at least a month and a half to get a basic tv stand. It wasn't a huge piece or anything special. We cancelled and ordered a similar stand for the same price from Raymour and Flanagan, and received it in 2 days. We were disappointed. There were other items we were interested in purchasing. I give Ashley HomeStore ZERO stars.(they don't have that as an option so I gave it one) I had ordered almost 2,000 dollars worth of furniture and paid in full cash. I also asked for a Knock down service to breakdown my couch. that I had brought from a place that sells Ashley furniture like a dealer. They gave me this number (631) 474-5012 Beware of this company! The guy came broke down my couch. Came 4 days later & put it back together. Left his staple gun I called him ten mins after he left to let him know he left it. It's been over a month he never came back. Oh and he doesn't know how to put Funiture back together! My couch is broken. I called the lake grove store! The manager would not come to the phone I believe his name is Fred. I called cooperate. They told me there is NOTHING they can do. They can send someone from there store to see if they can fix it. I was gonna buy a new couch. They wouldn't even work with me! Buyers beware! Crappy customer service. And they haven't called me back to let me know how much it would cost for someone come look at the couch! If it was up to me I would return everything I brought. Don't shop here! Scammers. We agreed on a price before checking out another furniture store. We came back an hour later and the salesman said he made a mistake and the price was 500.00 more. In addition, the set we wanted had two different style headboards. The one style we wanted was 500.00 more. The salesman Offered no explanation why. Needless to say we left and went to Jennifer convertibles. They had the same set at a cheaper price and no difference in the price between the different headboards! read more

Customer Service is horrible. If I could give less than 1 star I would. I purchased, paid set up delivery. Piece was damaged when it arrived. The driver took pictures and called supervisor Carlos. Carlos puts me on the phone and hes telling me that it's not damaged it's just a touch up over a knot and I could be charged for a redelivery. I sent pictures to customer service and they agree its damaged and it will redeliver for free. Being i really didnt want to take another day off from work they said they'll put me on the later delivery schedule. I get an email today and told I'm in the first earliest block for delivery. I call customer service and they tell me theres nothing they can do. I try to call Ashley Store in Lake Grove on Middle Country Road where i purchased it and it goes directly to Customer Service. They have to call the store for me. When I got the store on the phone all she said she can do is cancel the order and refund my money. They are only interested in selling after that there is no customer care. Avoid Ashley in Lake Grove on Middle Country Road at all cost! read more

I recently went to Ashley Furniture Lake Grove Store to look around for furniture for my new house!! A gentleman named Spencer was so very helpful in answering ALL my questions. He was professional but at the same time super friendly and he even had me laughing :) If only we had more people like him when it comes to customer care. I will be back! read more

Ordered a very expensive living room set, it came torn I several places; the quality is so poor the legs are made of hollow plastic. If that wasn't bad enough the table we were shown on display is not at all what was shipped to me. It almost seem like a bait and switch. You see one thing in the store and then you get this really horrible quality delivered. Just go somewhere else you will save yourself a lot of time. The quality is just not there, didn't mind paying for something decent, but this is not quality. read more

Incredibly frustrating furniture shopping experience. Purchase a sofa on 7/15 as a birthday present. Scheduled delivery on 7/19. Took the day off from work to wait for it, delivery day came and the sofa never showed up! Called on 7/20 and no one could tell me what happened so they scheduled a new delivery for sunday 7/23. Sofa day came, sofa arrived and i was ecstatic until they unwrapped it and its the WRONG COLOR! The guy, Patrick Blake at the store put in the wrong product code so they brought me the wrong sofa. Now, still sofa-less I have to wait for a third delivery and the next delivery date isn't until sunday 7/30. Ridiculous, worst furniture shopping experience I've ever had and great way to ruin someones birthday. read more

My first trip to Ashley Furniture was outstanding! I wanted to purchase a new couch & sales rep Rob Green, was the most professional in all areas-knowledge of his merchandise, caring to get my needs met and making sure to get the best price available. I also met store manager Marlin, who was obviously where Rob got his customer-service skills from, as leadership starts at the top. In addition to purchasing my couch I also found a beautiful end table for my son's apartment that had better quality and price than all of those I had researched from many other stores, including online. The lovely woman who processed my payment continued the positive interactions. I was thrilled with my new items, which were delivered the very next day by wonderful men who also represented the company's excellence. I would highly recommend Ashley for any furniture needs because from start to finish you will receive the BEST shopping experience in quality and price, and, as important, customer service! read more

Years go Spent a lot of money .Was told table was solid wood and it wasn't the veneer cracked and bubbled up I wanted a store credit refused was purchased as a set said they would give me credit for table and I would have to keep chairs I didn't want this to happen again . If I could rate this no stars I would. I went there looking for a mattress, 1. When I got to the store the person I had spoke to on the phone wasn't available but the manager Mitch came and said he would take care of us . Like any other person it makes you feel more comfortable that you're dealing with someone a little more "professional" we look around and I decide to get one however I saw it online and I decide I rather get it online. When I mention it to him he states that if I order it with him I would get to pick the day it would be delivered. I decide to do it because I wanted to make sure someone would be home. A few days later I had to confirm the delivery and I notice the size of the mattress was wrong. I called and spoke to Mitch one more time and he assured me everything was corrected and I had nothing to worry about. Long story short they deliver the wrong mattress. To be clear I was remodeling my room and It is a memory foam which comes all wrapped so there's no way I could've seen the label. I have been dealing with Bill who has been nothing but helpful but not once did this "manager" speak to me. Not once did Mitch like any manager, spoke to me to reassure me everything would be fixed . Horrible experience. I will never step foot in that store ever again, that's so called manager should stick to being in his office. read more

This is NOT a review of any particular store. It is a warning to anyone who is thinking of doing business with this company. I purchased an Ashley wood file cabinet from Amazon. It arrived with a broken wheel (the cabinet rolls on small wheels) and a drawer pulls broke off on the first pull. I contacted Ashley customer service to request replacement parts, and they requested my contact info and the model# and serial #. There was no label visible so I could not provide a serial #. After several emails back and forth they refused to send me replacement parts without the non-existent serial #. I didn't want to repackage and return this large heavy item. I finally got Amazon to discount the item. I will now have to replace all of the wheels and drawer pulls from a third party so they will match. They could not find a way to keep a customer for a couple of dollars worth of replacement parts. They are also impossible to reach on their customer service phone line. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. read more

I have to say i really had high hopes with Ashley. The furniture was good quality etc. but the actual receiving the furniture was a complete nightmare. First after waiting 3 1/2 weeks for the set it arrived in the wrong color.(only to find out that the "manager- Marvin" yes manager not sales rep - Dillan) ordered the wrong items. Then the correction was made and had to wait another week for the correct set only to receive a call from the warehouse manager to tell us that only the love seat would arrive today and the sofa was not in stock. Keep in mind this is now the second day off of work taken. Now we are being told the sofa will come on Friday. Yes another day off of work. Fingers crossed!!!! Bottom line i guess you have to double check SKU#'s to make sure you are getting what you ordered. Yes actually ask them to show you on the computer that the right product was ordered.
