Ben is great always so attentive and great at his job. So no compliant about our purchase and the sales rep. However, we were promised after 60 days of the arrival of our purchase an incentive $250 Mastercard due to our purchase total. When i tried to collect our $250 the store had made a mistake something with the invoice number etc (this info was coming from the third party that issues the GC) and since 2021 after several attempts back and fourth emails, calls to the store, manager and even Ben we never received any incentive. I was disappointed in this since we spent alot of money and could always use the extra $. read more

We purchased a living room set , bar stools and a dining table ( cash ) and all were delivered as scheduled. We had to return the table due to spacing issues and were told refund would take 7 to 14 days. We had to go to store to start return process and were told authorization had to go through corporate and was given a number to call for updates that no one EVER answers !!!! I tried chatting the chat window was open for almost 20 hours before someone responded at 4 am when I was asleep and they ended chat . Finally able to get a hold of someone after various attempts and was told our notes were not in system no refund is in process . She suggested we go to store. My husband went to Long Beach location where he was treated rudely and questions were not answered as to where was our refund it had been more than 6 weeks . It wasn't until he lost his patience that lady at counter sent an email that apparently had not been sent with a refund request . They offered to give us credit towards purchase of something else but we were not ready to purchase anything else at moment we wanted our money for table back . I purchased over $4000 in store for a sofa, chair, mattress. The mattress turned out to be too soft. I am disabled, and I am unable to get in and out of the bed safely. It's a real struggle. I was given a case number and was told by several reps that everything would be taken care of with no problem. Called for status again and was told all sales are final and I have no recourse. Do not shop at this store or any Ashley store. Customer service is poor. I am very upset and get anxious when I try and get in/out of the bed. They told me to contact Tempur-pedic and Tempur-pedic told me to call the store. I could have saved a lot of time and frustration. Had I been told all sales are final from the very beginning. I was assisted by Richard M. He was personable, knew what I wanted and showed me different styles. He was super knowledgeable of the equipment and gave me outstanding customer service. I will say do this store had way too many sales people standing around unmotivated to get a sale. We knew what we where looking for since the day before we had came around but, nobody really said much or went up to us. Luckily Richard greeted us the next day we came since we where determined to get a new couch. The delivery process was easy Richard would text and call to make sure I had all the proper information. I went in today just to look around. I was first greeted then was told they were going to help me find what I was looking for by following me around. I told her I was okay I just want to look around alone but thank you for offering that. Meanwhile I noticed she was looking me down and up since I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt. I felt very uncomfortable by that. And the fact that I told her I was not okay with her following me around and yet I noticed she was following me around as if I was going to steal something. If only she knew that I could buy anything I wanted from that store. I am guessing based off how I looked she thought I was going to steal something maybe a couch or a whole bed I don't know. Only wanted a recliner- made quick purchase and went home. Wanting to look at it again, I went online- hours after my purchase.... Only to notice the same chair was on sale -online. In LB, I actually paid full price, plus. After taxes, delivery and protection plan, all based on the chair----my final online price considerably lessened... It was a $536.76 difference... The online chat "help line" answer to why was, each store was it's own stock and pricing varied between online and in-store. That is a huge difference.... it's shady as heck. I am sure the customer base is unaware of this. What national chain does this? Why do you need to price match your own company? I canceled the store order and bought the chair online. I don't like to give bad reviews but this store deserves it. I really had and I am still having a bad experience with this store full of incompetent people. I ordered a dining table on October 15th the salesman told me that it was on stock and I will receive it on the 18th  I requested the day off to wait for my dinning set to get delivered, I waited a whole day and nothing not even a phone call to give me the status of my delivery. So  After  wasting my entire day at home waiting for a delivery that never arrived , I decided to visited Asley and asked them what had happened with my delivery they told me that my delivery will take up to a week to get to my home because they used a third party to delivered the stuff. That extended warranty insurance is complete B.S my love seat started bubbling and peeling after a little over a year and when submitted a warranty claim it was denied. They have a decent selection, but the browsing/shopping experience is pretty bad. There's SOOO many sales people on the floor, and they feel the need to be stuck to your side the entire time. We nicely let one of the two people that were following us know that we'd seek them out if we had questions and wanted to take our team to check things out, but within a few minutes, they were back up in our business and even as direct as we were, still didn't take a hint. Not only is it super uncomfortable, it's super pushy, especially when they're trying to give you a sales pitch on items you're not even interested in/looking at. Because we couldn't even get a moment to ourselves, we decided to leave and go to another store that let us look at a leisurely pace without feeling like we were under a microscope. My wife and I believe in a few things when it come to stretching the family dollar, good customer service and value. Well our beliefs came into play again when we entered the Ashley's Furniture Store in Long Beach on Carson street, we weren't greeted by just another store employee, we were greeted with a friendly hello backed by a warm smile as she introduced herself as Sue, we Immediately became family as she asked our names and how she could help! She guided us through the store with accuracy and with care as if she was buying for her self while keeping in mind our needs which was quite impressive in this day when it come to customer service. While working our way through the store, Sue seen her manager and called him over to meet us, at this point we felt like Furniture store royalty Tony was the smile and heart behind the whole stores customers service as he periodically joined us as Sue showed us around. We Eventually found what we were looking for and left for the day. That evening my wife and I had a chance to think a bit and we decided to cancel our order because we weren't exactly ready. A few weeks pasted and our need for the furniture was getting close, my wife and I remembered Sue and the great customer service she provided and decided to go back and see her, as faith would have it as we enter the store Sue was walking by and we connected again, she continued showing us around and we decided on different bedroom furniture as originally picked. Check out was a breeze and Toni remembered us and made us feel like Ashley family! I strongly believe that anybody that reads this review should look nowhere else but Ashley's and most importantly , ask for Sue to get the great customer service and value you deserve! We went to Ashley's home store after seeing the furniture on line . First impression: As soon as you walk in it's like walking into a used car lot . Every sales person swamps you and the one sitting behind a kiosk claims you so no one else can help you. We looked around and the sales person was next to us the whole time not letting my wife and I even talk about the furniture . Well we finally liked some sofas and a entertainment center and cocktail table . Transaction : As soon as we decide we looked up and the sales person walked away to help someone else so we asked another sales person if he could help us. The first sales person didn't answer any question for us but kept talking and talking . As soon as the original sales person saw us talk to someone else he said "those are my customers" wow didn't know I was until then lol. We went ahead and purchased everything for over 4.5k dollars . (Oh almost forgot we also bought a dinning room table and chairs) He stated he would call us and keep us in the loop about our shipment . I shouldn't of known he's full of crap then . Shipment : they called us a day before telling us what time (window) they would be there. My wife stayed home from work since they couldn't deliver at the time the sales person told us they could. When they get there all they brought was the sofas nothing else. My wife inquired about the rat they said go into the store we're just delivery people. Back at the store: we went in and out original sales person was no where to be found when I spotted him he acted busy and wouldn't even come near us . We asked to speak to a manager and the ladies in customer service said come back tomorrow the store manager is not here . 3rd visit: now we went in asked to speak to the store manager he had a young lady in customer service look up our account and said our entertainment center can be delivered in. Two days . But our cocktail table was not available due to ports being backed up . (BS) my brother in law works at the ports and said there's no back up. But anyway the Store manager was extremely dismissive of us . I explained that I gave away to charity all our old furniture and had a birthday coming up . He said nothing he could do . He didn't even offer to give us a discount for something that was not our fault and that our sales person never said would not be available . Take aways never shop here they only care about u till you pay (I paid all cash ) . Just like a used car slot they have shifty sales people and management don't care . TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE service! Delivery date was originally for the week of Mother's Day. We received a text confirming our delivery so I threw my old table out the day of my delivery. Called 1 hour before business hours were over to be told they moved the date to another date because they only had the table and not the rug. Thanks for ruining not only my Mother's Day for my dinner I was giving my mother but my very first Mother's Day for myself. The next delivery date came, they called to inform me 1 hour before my delivery they only had the rug and the table had been back ordered. (Still was patient to wait another week and a half) The final day I called first thing in the morning to confirm my furniture was being delivered, one rep couldn't find the order, the second rep said the order had been completed during the supposed 2nd delivery, lastly, they reached out to the warehouse and I had to call the store repeatedly to never get a reply. Finally was fed up enough to go the store to get a refund. FYI it takes 15 business day to get a check in the mail (and they probably just mean to get the check mailed) and 7-10 business day to get it back on card when it took just a few seconds to collect the money originally. Finally got an apology on the way out. Now I have to go feed my husband on our couch and hope my dog don't knock his drink over or eat his food when he's not looking. PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL WHOLE-IN-THE-WALL FURNITURE STORES! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. They sell warranties from a company called GBS Enterprises. I paid $279. I have a rip and called them and uploaded photos on 12/28/2020. Said I would get a call in 72 hours. Fast forward to 3/15/21 and I call again. They said they were sorry and a technician would call me in 24 hours. Fast forward to 3/29/2021 and no call. Called again and was told they would not honor the warranty. Asked to talk to the manager and was told i could email their claims. Checked Yelp and there are 100s of the same complaints as mine. We think it's a scam company and Ashley's continues to sell their warrant. They won't help, so I will not purchase from them again and make sure everyone I know doesn't either. Don't buy from the company, they will give you the run around and will also set your furniture up wrong knowingly and leave! They keep you on hold for HOURS and transfer you to the wrong people constantly. I will never buy anything from an Ashley home store ever again. We bought a bed, they set it up wrong and knew it. Called to rectify perhaps this is the wrong bed, since the bed in the showroom was softer, I'm told oh yeah well you need to break in your bed since there is no return or exchange. I could've chosen any store, so why not advise the customer of this information? Instead I was told by the Sales Rep Zi, I could return it. Poor customer service at the desk. Went to pay off an account and Stephanie was very dismissive. Gave short answers, and was more focused on her computer than the person standing in front of her. No one attending the Acceptance Now desk as they were at lunch. It would make so much sense to have a backup person for customers who actually want to payoff an account, and who don't want their time wasted waiting for someone to help them. A sales associate saw that I was frustrated by the weird dismissal. Asked me if everything was ok. I began telling my experience and without giving Stephanie's name, the sales associate was aware of the customer service person I was talking about and wasn't surprised to hear of the behavior and apologized several times. So this obviously wasn't the first complaint. Spoke to one of the managers, Sam. He listened but was very stoned faced. Asked him about the back up person for Acceptance Now and he seemed to be annoyed with them but not solution focused. CONSUMER BEWARE! Read your contract very carefully at this store. If you end up not liking the furniture you purchased, or it ends up not meeting your satisfaction, they will NOT return it. In fact the sales people and management at this store change their entire tone and demeanor if you challenge their product, services and request a return. This company and culture is nothing short of terrible and so the is the furniture. Exposed nails on the bottom edges of their couches due to cheap and poor craftsmanship. I placed an online order for a bedroom set. I also purchased the mattress and foundation. I knew I was going to have to wait, since their website stated 6-8 week for delivery. I was fine with that. So I suddenly get an email that my furtniture could get delived sooner than expected. I was very happy. I requested online that my old mattress set be picked up. Delivery was done 3/14/2021. 1. Here was the first issue. The delivery team said, they would not take the old set. I called to complain. I was told they weren't showing pick up on my order even though I had an email clearly reading otherwise. They also told me if mattress wasn't properly wrapped, they wouldn't take. NOONE ever told me I had to wrap mattress. But again it was an online order. 2. The order was not complete. I received the mattress set, the bed and the dresser but the delivery guys told me the two nightstands were on backorder. (This would have been good to know when they emailed saying my order would be ready sooner). I have have waited instead of now having mismatched furniture in my bedroom. 3. To make matters WORST oneof the bed rails arrived DAMAGED. Broken wood and bent hooks. Of course we didn't figure this out until we were trying to put bed together. So, with all this, we had to leave the new mattress set wrapped in the plastic they came in since I now did not have a bed frame to put them in. I called Ashley first thing Monday morning on 3/15/21. I sent pictures of the damage. I was told I would get a call soon to schedule exchange. Well not it's been 5 day of having my mattress on the floor, and I've yet to receive a call to schedule delivery. I called again on 3/17/21, and was told it was still pending APPROVAL. (Seriously). I receive damaged product and it takes them over 5 days to decide if they want to exchange??? I am extremely dissappointed with their customer service. You would think they would take better care of their customers. Now, I'm just hoping, that I dont have to wait another entire week to get the rails exchanged and that whatever new rails arrive they aren't damaged as well. I honestly hate leaving these kind of reviews..... I purchased a bed at this Ashley's on January 5th, 2021. When I spoke to the salesman, he informed me that the bed will be delivered on February 15th. I was a bit sad because I am truly in need of a bed... but I really loved the bed I selected and decided it was worth the 1 month wait. February 15, 2021 comes and passes. I don't get any emails, no phone calls with an update on the delivery and I still see the charge pending on my Ashley's card. I start to feel a bit concerned that maybe my order was forgotten, so I call the customer service line. I am informed that the headboard is on back order and once that is received then the bed will be shipped and delivered on March 2nd. I asked if it was only the headboard and I was informed that only the headboard is what they were waiting on. I was a bit upset that I was not informed of the delivery date change so I asked to have the bed expedited when the headboard arrives because I was truly in need of a bed. March 2nd comes yesterday and no delivery and my card still has not been charged. I call the customer service department and when someone answered I informed them I have not received my order and was wondering what the hold up is. They then proceeded to forward me the automated recording that asks if I'd rate the service then the call ended. I call again and got in contact with another person and I again informed them of the situation. The representative on the line proceeded to tell me that the delivery date was moved to March 26th due to the headboard AND railings being on back order. I was absolutely confused because I was told only headboard was on back order and everything else had arrived. Not only that, I was AGAIN not informed of the order change. I hate being that person, but I requested to speak to a higher up due to the situation I was experiencing with the different information I'm given each time. The representative did not want to give me to a higher up and proceeded to tell me there's nothing they can do to expedite the back orders. Cool, but that's not why I was requesting to speak to the higher up. I informed them that I have already been waiting 3 months for this bed and now I'm being told I may need to wait 3 more weeks without being notified that the order date was pushed back? I explained to her that I want to cancel the order and still speak to a higher up. She puts me on hold for 15 mins then AGAIN I am forward to that automated message that asks for my feedback and hangs up on me. I am absolutely baffled by what is going on at that point and I am beyond upset. I immediately call again and I get in contact with Barbara (the only name I was able to take down). I explained to her everything that happened. I was hung up on twice. I had been given different dates with different information on what was back ordered. She told me she wasn't sure who I spoke to before I called her, but Barbara had my file pulled up without me providing any of my information (suspicious since I had to provide my info each time I called in order for them to pull everything up). I told Barbara that I'd like to speak to a higher up and she informed me that she was a manager and that she sees that my bed was set for delivery on April 17th. APRIL 17TH!!!!!!! I told her that I do not understand how the delivery date changed 3 more weeks in just 5 minutes and she proceeded to tell me it was out of her control. I get that. And I explained that many many times that I get it is not under their control, but why is there no system in place to notify me automatically??? I truly would like to know why the delivery date changed three whole weeks in just 5 minutes? Why was I hung up on twice? Why do I have to wait almost 5 months for a bed (that I still really love and want but can't wait any longer for)? I explained that if I never said anything, I probably would have waited 6 months for the bed and never would have been informed that the bed and their parts were not available. She then informed me that it was the sales representative's fault for not informing me, but each representative I talked to didn't even have the same information as the other, so I'm not even sure he would have gotten the correct information himself if they ever were to inform him. I'm still very upset with how this was handled. I am truly in need of a new bed and thought this one would be worth the wait, but I don't know if 5+ months is worth the wait of any bed..... I also feel bad that I had to cancel the order and the sales representative will not get his sale.
