Today has been a horrible experience before christmas. My wife was expecting a beautiful black chaise to go into her she room, but unfortunately the delivery driver caused more damage than I would never imagine. The hispanic driver snapped our cable line from the telephone pole to our home and now the line is laying in our driveway. Imagine the look on my face to see part of our siding ripped from our home laying in our flower bed. Then the driver who was trying to maneuver the chaise through our front door broke the arm to the chair. Why send unexperienced employee that are contractors to your customers home. This is truly unacceptable to anyone . Then the two guys scratched to the bedroom door and leaving paint on the carpet. If anyone come across this review. We came to this location 3 times in a week before we made our decision on the purchase we made. FYI we are going back to purchase some more furniture in the near future after we get in our new home. Number 1. what really helped us make our decision was the customer service. Yes just good old fashion customer service! Samantha our store rep was very knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and professional. She didn't push any sale items or made us feel uncomfortable while we were browsing . The day that we decided to make our purchase Samantha wasn't in the store it was her day off. However, the store Sales manager, Travis Jaynes remembered us for our prior 2 visits. He he asked for our name and phone number and Samantha had input our information in their system and he had our information for delivery. Not only was my furniture over a month later than promised, they delivered the wrong stuff after telling me twice they'd deliver and never show up. Now I have the wrong bed in my house and I can't even get a hold of anyone at my store to request they replace with the correct furniture, the furniture I ordered. This has been the absolute worst experience with a company I have ever had. Nobody helps or gives any definitive answers. They always say oh contact this department or that one and NOTHING gets accomplished. Terrible company, horrific customer service and have ultimately cost me a bunch of money from all of the time I've had to take off work to wait for deliveries that never show up and now have to physically walk back into the store for a 4th time since the store doesn't answer their phones. I purchased some counter chairs from you way back in May. When the chairs came, a few were damaged and the legs were uneven. After days and days of trying to get in touch with someone at Ashley (waiting on hold for up to an hour, being transferred around because the online customer service said that it was an in-store purchase and the in-store customer service said it was an online purchase) I finally got help from an individual that I could hardly understand and he could hardly understand me. I managed to explain to him that I needed replacements. He ordered replacements that would take 3-4 weeks to get here. When the replacements finally came on 7/29/22, every last one were uneven and 1 had a chip in the backrest part. The delivery guy called Ashley while he was still in my home and told the representative that the chairs were uneven and damaged. At that time, I just asked for a full refund - I was tired of dealing with it. The rep told me that he would set up a technician to come out and I should expect a call back on 7/31/22. 7/31/22 came and went; no communication from Ashley. On 8/1/22, I contacted Ashley again and had the same issues as before - waiting on hold for hours, transferred around, etc. Again, I was able to talk to a rep that I couldn't understand and clearly he couldn't understand me, because he transferred me to the local store here in Goodletsville, TN. The operations manager at the local store apologized for the issues and said she'd call and make sure a technician or someone contacted me on 8/2/22. 8/2/22 came and went and there was no communication from Ashley. I called again on 8/3/22 and had the same issues as before - long wait time, transferred repeatedly, and reps that I could hardly understand and vice versa. After about 2 hours of not getting anywhere with customer service, I called the local store again. The operations manger was surprised no one had contacted me and said she'd contact someone and have them contact me. I haven't had anyone contact me as of current. This has been the ABSOLUTE WORSE purchase I've made. I will never ever ever order anything else from Ashley and I regret making this purchase. I am now stuck with uneven and defective chairs that I paid $400 for. I wish you would've told me, before I purchased from you, what kind of after the sale service I was in for. read more

I will never buy another piece of furniture from any Ashley. The salesman was helpful but ordered the wrong desk. I realized it pretty quickly and he corrected it. A few days later my desk was delivered. The delivery drivers told me the hardware was not available but they would leave the desk and order the hardware and it would be delivered to me in the mail. After a week I didn't receive it so I called customer service after 30+ minutes of the phone the CS person said she was ordering it, the call dropped. I called back 2 days later and was told my hardware was on the way. Now a month has passed I went back to the store they told me to call customer service 6 calls later in one day, because they repeatedly get disconnected I was told a technician would be contacting me I 48 hours. Of course no call. 3 calls today, now I'm told someone will contact me by Wednesday. I have repeatedly asked for supervisor. The worst customer service. On 04/21/23 I purchased spent over $5,100.00 for a Table w/6 chairs, a Soft with Matching Chair and Ottoman. My invoice clearly stated White Glove Service -0- Charge. Here is where it goes really bad. The delivery was made by a 3rd party provider on the same day I was moving from another City in TN to Portland, TN so I had to have someone at the house to be there when the furniture arrived. One of the legs on a Dining chair was completely broken off where it attached to the seat. This is wood mind you not metal or plastic....but supposedly wood. They told the person at my home a new leg would be shipped but I would have to put it on. The person at my home noticed several of the chairs wobbled back and forth only to be told that was because of my dining room floor. All of this was totally false. The soft is so uncomfortable I cannot lean back in it because I am 76 years and it hurts me badly. When you stand up if you push on the arm of the soft or chair it sounds like cardboard has been rolled around the arms and it makes a popping sound when you put any weight on it to stand up. When remove you hand it pounds back out again. All garbage. I contacted the Store and Salesman multiple times to no avail. I faxed Ashely Corporate Office in Wisconsin. I faxed at letter of "Intent to Sue" to Ashley Furniture Store in Madison, TN and Corporate Office in Wisconsin. No response to attempt to address my issues. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. I have contacted Synchrony Bank who financed this garbage glossed over to look like a quality product to intervene and no response. Just recently I filed a complaint with the TN State Attorney General's Office. If that fails I plan to file a lawsuit against them and I will spend 10 times what I paid for this garbage to ensure they NEVER, EVER do anything like this again to someone else. Stay away from this Garbage Store claiming to sell Quality Furniture. They are crooks disguised as everyday people just working for a living. "Roz" the office manager told me she didn't even know their FAX #. A totally worthless bunch in a totally worthless store. Beware. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. This is the worst place to buy anything. We bought a couch in Feb 22 and it is now Jan 23 and we still don't have our furniture. The delivered 3 couches knowing they were defective. In Oct of 22 we change our order to a dinning table that was in shock ans supposed to be delivered in 2 weeks. 2 months later they finally delivered a damaged table and missing parts. Customer service said they can't help us and say that we have to go into the store. I have never delt with worse company in my life. Our furniture was delivered broken. Broken to the point the driver asked us to come see it in the driveway before he carried it in because in his words "It don't look like new furniture". It was supposed to be redelivered on Saturday, then Monday, now I'm 2 days off work and It still has not arrived. The warehouse sends texts to cancel a couple of hours before they are set to arrive. The store takes my info and doesn't call back. Once they have the payment, there is no concern on their part to make it right. Don't waste your time or your money. I should have done more research, but we were pressed for time and failed to do our due diligence. Definitely do not fall for the "extended warranty" they will certainly try to sell you. Once you find out what is and is not covered, you will realize it is a waste of money. The furniture is serviceable, but not of a quality commensurate with the price. Again, I should have known better. Delivery promises were made but not met. Multiple calls were required to get furnishings delivered. 18 months after purchase, we've already had a sofa frame crack. Of course, that's not covered by the warranty we were sold. Spend $1,000 on a sofa and you expect it to last more than 18 months. Every other sofa and chair we've owned over the past 30 plus years lasted a decade or more. Wow these places are a scam. Stay away. You are much better off buying from Wayfair or the like. We went to buy 2 simple barstools. We ended up having to drive 30 minutes between locations and they gave us an open box that had major parts missing. We called, they kept my wife on the phone for 20 minutes organizing the refund which we had to drive another 30 minutes to return the stools. They called us twice to see if we'd rather an exchange than the $200 back. When we got to the warehouse they had no idea we were returning something, all the information my wife was given was wrong and they wanted us to start the return process over again. read more

9 months: In the last month they have sent out 3 replacement pieces for our sectional that was damaged when delivered. All 3 replacements were also damaged. We've learned a lot this month. 1. When they bring replacement pieces for the brand new furniture you buy but receive damaged, it's someone else's return they've "fixed" and are trying to get rid of it. -per ashley furniture dispatch manager 2. Real leather is replaced with faux leather when Ashley fixes your furniture they damage. So your $3500 real leather sofa will turn into an $800 pleather sofa, but you're still paying the real leather price. -per Ashley distribution warehouse supervisor. 3. The store manager at the Madison store "Max" will refuse to make eye contact and hide behind fake plants while his team handles situations. His staff call him "young and inexperienced"...we'll stick with "poor leader" and "coward". 4. Document everything. Make a paper trail. You will be hiring a lawyer to make them fix their mess because the company will not do it on their own. In the end when they promise to give you your money back, it will not be a complete refund and it will be botched every step of the way. (Addresses, dates, times, phone numbers...all mysteriously changed) 5. Ms Ros at the desk at the Madison store is heaven sent. She is the only one there who genuinely cares about a situation, tries to make the best of a bad situation, and honestly the only redeeming factor for the whole location. Concluding statements: 9 months... $3500 sectional showed up damaged. 7 replacements ordered, all denied for like damages. Multiple leather replacement pieces, all the wrong pieces. A coward of a store manager that offers empty promises and hides behind his employees because his "young and inexperienced" and knows hes lied to you to make you go away. Still awaiting a refund for a damaged sectional that may or may not ever happen. BBB contacted. Just don't do it. We bought a mattress from them and was not told that we had to buy a mattress cover from them for the warranty. I purchased a mattress cover from somewhere else because my husband has a skin allergy and the covers they sell would have caused him issues. They refuse to exchange the mattress that neither of us can sleep on. Went into the store and the sales girl that we were dealing with went and hid from me. The store manager and the regional manager will not call us. Their customer service representative doesn't know their policies and thinks it's funny that we are upset. We ordered a sofa/queen sleeper a couple weeks ago and were quoted a delivery of about two weeks later. The day was coming close, and we hadn't heard anything, so I started reading reviews on here that really had me worried that we'd end up waiting months with little recourse, etc. However, I just wanted to to leave a review that we got our couch within two days of the scheduled delivery estimate, communication was clear, the couch looks perfect, the delivery drivers were there within the first 30 mins of our 3 hour delivery. They were respectful of us and our space and got it set up quickly. In short, we had an excellent experience with Ashley. That isn't to discount others' experiences here, but it was not our experience. We'd definitely do it again, based on how smooth this process ended up being. read more

We went to nearly every furniture store in the Rivergate area and while they all had similar items, Isabelle was a big part of why we returned to Ashley Furniture to make our purchase. Isabelle managed to strike the perfect balance between knowledgeable and friendly, without being pushy and in your face. She made her presence known but let my husband and I look around without getting a sales pitch for each piece. When we did have questions, she was available and helped us pick out a bedroom set that was right for us. When I came back to sign the paper work it was just me and my 1 year old daughter, who desperately needed a nap. She was so patient with my daughter and never made me feel like we were a nuisance which, being a working mom, sometimes I can't wait for nap time before running errands, so I REALLY appreciated her kindness and patience! Once everything was finalized the manager even came over and thanked me for our business, I thought that was a really nice, personalized touch. This store understands how to do business! I've tried to shop this store a few times. Once on a Sunday we were left at the door waiting past opening when a manager walked past us rudely and still didn't unlock the door for several minutes with no acknowledgement or apology. Stopped in again while looking for accent chairs or recliners and again the sales staff were flippant. We actually bought a very clearance hanging lamp that we decided to pick up the next week because it would need to be taken down and the staff seemed busy. Emphatically we asked it be brought down so we wouldn't have to wait. I gave them an extra 2 days but when we arrived to pick it up, it was still hanging, no one would help us, the salesman that rang us up denied selling it to us and left us standing alone for 15 more minutes. Luckily a gentleman "Sanjay" asked us if we were assisted. We explained we were waiting for someone to remove it. When they delivered the sectional we ordered, they were tossing it out of the back of the truck and broke the frame. You can't really tell because its hidden by fabric. We have been on the hunt for a perfect, comfortable and affordable couch for about 2 months now. We had no idea that when we met Cierra at Ashley HomeStore that our search would be over. From the second we walked in we were greeted by Cierra's big smile. Before showing us anything she sat down and got to know us a little and what we were looking for. From there we cruised around the store and at no point felt pressured to buy OR as if I was being "sold" to. We didn't look at cost at first, even though we were on a budget. We focused on finding what we wanted. Then, once we had it narrowed down to two great options she worked tirelessly to get us as close to our budget as possible. She truly jumped through hoops to make it work. She never pressured us to finance and never once pressured us to buy. She just simply did her absolute best to get us our wishlist for the least she possible could. At first it was a bit out of our price range and that's when we looked at our second, less expensive option. She did not pressure us one way or the other and was just as excited for that option too. During all of this we were laughing, sharing stories and truly having a great couch shopping experience. We ended up with the more expensive option because it is what we had fallen in love with. We need more women like Cierra in the Sales world. Her bright personality combined with overall knowledge with furniture truly made our experience wonderful. I can't end this review with out mentioning that Seth, the store manager, was quick to help us as well and answered all of our questions and was very patient with us while we crunched the numbers! I ordered a sectional and entertainment center from this store months ago. I was originally told it would be 6 weeks for delivery, well.. 6 weeks went by a while ago. First time I called I was told my order was going to be delivered in pieces on various dates in December. That is not acceptable. Why would I want pieces of a sectional and entertainment center instead of the entire thing at once?? The second time I called I got dates around Christmas. I bought the furniture with the understanding that I had given myself plenty of time for it to arrive before Thanksgiving. This is completely out of hand. Sales person was good - nothing bad to say there. Delivery , however, which actually has yet to happen, nightmarish. First, we had two deliveries scheduled for the same day. When we got the text confirming - they had the wrong address. Tried to fix that by calling the guest care line and was told I had to go to the store (which was BS) to show the address change. Low and behold it had already been changed in the system for ONE of the two orders by someone AND they changed the date of the other delivery to another date - NO ONE TOLD US. I had to find that out when I went into the store to change the address (which I really didn't have to do). So, I call the store several times and the manager calls back and says he has called dispatch and has it all figured out and I would get a text later in the say to confirm. Well - the delivery time frame was from 5 - 8 PM. It is 9 PM now and do you think anyone has called, texted, let alone delivered? NO!! I tried calling the store, emailing the salesperson, and contacting the manager - NOTHING. My advice - Skip Ashley if you actually want to receive your furniture or know when it is coming or have anyone care. The update on this, unfortunately, despite trying to work with the manager at the store the delivery service is simply inept. They were supposed to be at our house at 5:30. That came and went. Called the store and next we hear from the driver that, "do we still Want the furniture or what? Seriously?!? We called back to the store saying what the driver said and upset that he said the soonest he could get to us was 7:30. After that time, we called the store to cancel the order. Manger called back asking what he could do, unfortunately, nothing at this point. Then at 8:18 pm the driver called to tell us it would be another hour before delivery. We said we canceled the order. Then he called back and cursed us out in Spanish. Unreal! In fairness, another update is needed. We finally got furniture! And, I would say it is due to the efforts of the manager and the sales associate and the distribution account manager. We ordered a sectional sofa on 9/2, they "attempted" to deliver it on 9/5. The drivers were here for less than 10 minutes. Didn't even bring the couch pieces inside to attempt to bring the couch upstairs. Not to mention their driver burped in my pregnant wife's face. We had a far bigger couch up there to begin with. They tried to high pressure us into signing a waiver so they could jam the couch up the stairs. Put us on the phone with their supervisor and he said they would take the couch back. I have called your customer service now twice, still not issued a refund. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on.Emergency Response Ticket # 468586. This is the worst customer service we have ever received. I am about to report you guys to the BBB. We want our money back NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay first off I'll say the sales people are amazing. They helped me pick out the table I wanted. Everything was smooth My only problem is with their dispatch. The dispatch department has no idea what they're doing. First they give me a 2 week notice to be delivered which is normal. But they then said they had a delay because the table was not there yet. Okay I'm a little annoyed here but I understand. Finally when they say we have everything ready and can deliver, they deliver everything only to have THE WRONG TABLE DELIVERED. Plus the barstools I ordered don't sit flat. Each barstool was a wobble to it. I paid 800 for this set and I got the worst possible crap. Seriously guys you had 4 weeks to get this right and you can't pull that off. That's pathetic. And now I have to possibly wait even longer to get the right stuff. I recommend if you go to Ashley. I ordered my bed on 6/21/19, it is now 8/14/19 and I've yet to receive my bed. Customer service is awful. The dates keep getting pushed back now it's 10/10/19. I'm canceling my order. You're punishing the customer for your negligence. What should happen, is my delivery should be first priority for the next business day, not when the next appointment is available in a few days. Fix it. Update: they were over 6 hours late, now they are telling me I can't get my delivery until next Tuesday. Wow. I would consider looking elsewhere for your furniture shopping needs. My wife and I went in looking for a bed. We literally liked the one right as you walk in. Saleswoman was very friendly, and she even let us use the price it was listed for online (which another review mentions). We raised a concern about the bed only having 3 slats. Not a BIG deal, but it's a platform style bed and many models we looked at had numerous. Our saleswoman said it would not be a problem, assured us the delivery guys could easily throw a couple extra on with the install. Of course she told us we weren't able to make a note of it on the order. That was our fault there, to not get it in writing. We get the phone call it's coming a couple weeks later. It certainly wasn't a "next day" delivery type place. Of course they tell us the extra slats will cost us extra. The saleswoman then goes on to tell us she never told us we could get them. They literally pretend like we misunderstood which is insulting. I bring it up to the delivery/install guy. He says he'll talk to his supervisor and they say they will put an order in for extra slats for us. Cool right? Not so much. Been a couple weeks again now and nothing. Once again, we didn't get anything in writing. I haven't had an email or anything. So I assume they just faked it to make me happy. The bed appears to be decently constructed but they don't appear to care about their customers. I would look elsewhere. read more

The sales people we dealt with were very nice and our furniture was delivered on time. But, that's where it ends. We had it delivered to our new home and we were between homes for about a week. Once we were moved in and began to use our furniture, we discovered that the sofa was significantly damaged. The frame on the sleeper portion was cracked in an out of sight spot and was not discovered until we attempted to extend the bed. We've called Ashley every week for 4 weeks now and got a promise that the technicians would contact us within 3-4 days. We have received no return calls and no effort by customer service to follow up. This is the third time we have purchased from Ashley and it will be our last. If you have a problem with anything related to Ashley, you, the customer will have to do ALL of the work. There is zero after sale customer service. No one at the store will talk to you,We are still attempting to have our broken furniture repaired or replaced. At this point I advise That you DO NOT GIVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO ASHLEY. read more

Where do I even start? Was originally told in February that our furniture would be delivered in mid march. Now we are in may and every time I call they say something different about certain pieces are in. Long story short they basically have now said it'll be July at the soonest and because their employee "Mario" had messed up I would have to pay another 480 dollars. You can't bash or hate-on Ashley if you're looking for affordable furniture without the seedy experience a lot of affordable furniture places offer. It's in a great shopping center close to everything with tons of parking. Inside there's a generous selection, especially of sofas. If you like synthetic leather and microfiber duos, this is your place. read more

Horrible experience. 1 - Find couch I want online, but find out it's a "Home Store Exclusive"... ok, I'll call them up and buy... 2 - Call the store and they will not let me buy over the phone. I said, no worries, I'll pay online ... but they don't allow for that either! It's 2016 people... saying you can't verify your customers is unacceptable. It takes 2-4 weeks to order a couch and I want it available when I arrive. But hey - at least they can't verify I actually wrote this review either.
