Horrible experience! Ordered sofa on line. ordered copplestone , they sent stone. I finally was able to contact rude person at Ashley online store. She said their records show I ordered stone......NOT! "will try to get it picked up but you will have to pay for shipping (very expensive). I may have to keep this one. Warning!!! Do not order from Ashley. They will not help in any way and they are the rudest, most hateful, curt people I have ever tried to do business with. One of the worst buying experiences in recent history. We went to get a mattress and a base. The salesman/manager was in a hurry to get on to the next customer and sold us the wrong base. We waited out by the loading dock for almost an hour, the salesman/manager came out to the back and stated that he was going to make everything right and take 500 off our ticket which would drop the amount financed down,but what he really meant was that he was going to give us a base that cost significantly less than the first one( so of course the difference should have been less. The way that he worded it was that he would take 500 off the ticket. The other issue is that the bed we purchased had an inflated tag of 999 and was marked under 400 significantly less because it was a floor model. The salesman stated that "oh yes that bed is that price originally" which it wasn't. When we called the salesman/manager he talked over my wife for about 2 minutes and then when I spoke to him he stated that he did in fact take 500 off the ticket... I tried several times to explain to him that the reason the money was taken off is because the base was cheaper not because he did us a favor because of the error with our order, he even said that he didn't know why we didn't by a more expensive mattress , the one we bought with the inflated 999 original price I guess wasn't expensive enough even though according to him that was the original price. Anyhow this will be the last purchase from Ashley. It's a shame that they treat local residents like this, grandma used to always say you shouldnt sh@& where you eat. read more

Sunday October 11,2019 - Myrtle Beach Store - - I purchased a $2000 bedroom set w/mattresses as a CHRISTMAS PRESENT for my granddaughter. Paul was my salesperson. I was very clear with him that this sale was to be delivered on 12/23/19. He verified inventory and assured me that he would place the order the next business day so the furniture would arrive to the MB warehouse quickly and be awaiting my delivery date. Since I hadn't been contacted by the store concerning delivery, I called the store on 12/9/19 to confirm a deliver time. First, I spoke to the scheduling department, who informed me that my furniture had NOT been received yet. Next, she transferred me to Customer Service who told me that my October order was not scheduled to deliver to the store until the week of 12/16. I expressed my concern over them not having the order available for delivery on time. The "customer service rep" did not tell me that all of my furniture was not scheduled for delivery before Christmas. However, she did tell me that they did not deliver on Mondays, which is the date I had specified way back in October. She told me they would schedule the delivery for Saturday 12/21. I asked her to PLEASE make sure this was arranged because it was a Christmas gift. I told her I would call back the week of 12/16 to verify delivery. AGAIN, I went thru scheduling, who told me my furniture still wasn't received. Then, I was transferred to customer service, to be told that only my dresser, mirror and nightstand was scheduled to arrive this week. LIVID does not even begin to cover my emotion. I asked to speak to the manager. Chris gets on the phone and I go over the entire history of this order disaster. NOW, he tells me that the headboard, frame, footboard and skinny chest will not be received in time for a pre-Christmas delivery. So NOW, I've had to tell my 9 yr old granddaughter that 1/2 her Christmas present will be here, when she knows I ordered it in October. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! We just purchased a sofa sleeper from Ashley Furniture. The salesperson, Kasey was wonderful. We were there a long time and it was late in the evening-getting close to closing. She could not have been any nicer or more helpful. Our couch was delivered during the time frame they said which was helpful since we were leaving town. Unfortunately, when it arrived the delivery company was not able to get it through our inside door. This was no fault of Ashley's. We called and explained the situation and they were very considerate saying we could have store credit or a refund. We chose a refund and the same day we received a call that the money had been reimbursed to our credit card. They were an outstanding company to deal with. We would absolutely recommend Ashley Furniture and plan to do more shopping at their store in the future. read more

It's been 29 days since my last review and my delivery dates have been delayed yet again. I was assured in November that everything I ordered to fully furnish a 3 bedroom condo would be available early January except possibly 2 end tables. As of now, I have only one bedroom set and a bunch of overpriced mattresses/box springs. The living room furniture has moved from last week in December, to early February, to February 23rd and today I learned the sofa is being pushed out to Mid March and the chair end of March. They'll have a loveseat on 2/23 but not the sofa or chair which was in the set. If this date sticks, it will be 4+ months since I placed my order. No one there has your back or is working to fix this mess. Chris just continues to blame the manufacturer and says there is nothing that can be done. I sat in that store today listening to their sales process and never once heard anyone tell the honest truth to a customer about lead times. I never once heard anyone say "we have people waiting 4+months for their furniture." My situation is unique...I'm not redecorating and have a sofa I'd like to replace...I have an empty rental property that is losing money because I believed the confidence in delivery dates given to me in November. I need the living room furniture. I'm so angry about the lack of honesty and the flagrant denial of what was committed to in previous conversations. read more

This is the worst furniture purchase I have ever experienced. Waited 3 weeks for my sectional sofa to be delivered. When my wife received the delivery, we only received 2 of the 3 sofa sections. The delivery drivers said thats all they sent. When we called the store, they knew nothing about it and said call the warehouse. We called and they said thats all we had and will ship the remaining in approximately 3 weeks. I called my sales person at Ashley and he said thats what we do, we ship what we we have. Sorry. I asked to speak to the store manager and they said he was busy and will be back to me at the close of business??of course, no return call. I even asked if they could just give us the floor sample piece they had at the store... they told me the store manager will not do that. Well, the store manager should be fired. No concept of customer service and no care about the customer. My husband and I went into the Myrtle beach store in February and were immediately greeted by a salesman named Dean. He was very helpful and we purchased over 8500 in new furniture. The deliver took longer than we thought but the delivery team were good and we are very happy with the furniture. We decided we needed end tables and I called the store and asked for the salesman that had helped us. He was not available and I left a message. He failed to return my call, so I called later in the day. I was told he was still with other customers but then told he would be with me soon. I told him who I was and what I wanted but was quickly told to order it on line. I quess when you are not in front of them so they can pressure sell, they are not interested in helping. Or the small end table sale was not as good as 8500 in store purchase. I am disappointed that I was not assisted and not sure if I will buy from them or not because of poor customer service. Do not shop here! We have yet to have our sofa repaired that the delivery people ripped. Took a day off work for repair and the guy took pictures and left. It was to be repaired that day. Talked to Customer Care. Said oh sorry we will put a gift card in the mail today for you. It never came. Called my salesperson and he said not my problem. Talked to Regional Manager and he promised to follow up within a week. Never happened. So 2 months later we still have a ripped leather sofa and where is their response........ no where !!!! I wanted to like this place. This store's serious lack of communication needs to be addressed from associate level all the way to the top. Bert helped my family. She was a pleasant, helpful employee. She's an asset to the store. That being said, I was informed after a big purchase that my furniture would arrive two to three weeks. I ordered in Myrtle Beach but was moving to Bluffton. I figured the furniture would arrive at my new home roughly around that time. Then Hurricane Irma happened. I figured the storm slowed things down. I waited a week after the expected date. No one from the store called or emailed to assure the furniture was on its way. Instead, I called-talked to Bert. She was apologetic and said certain things wouldn't be ready until October. This was a longer wait than expected. However, I was more upset of the lack of communication because had I known a different delivery date, I might not have been upset. Then I get a call from the store manager that Ashley's would deliver a partial delivery. That was fine. What was not okay was that he told me he would keep calling to assure other delivery times. Wrong. He never called again. Poor communication! I called up the warehouse to find out the remainder of my delivery and found out myself. They were supposed to call the day before with a delivery time. Guess what? That didn't happen. It's safe to say I won't be giving Ashley Furniture future business nor will I recommend. BTW, I didn't complain about the rip in the seam of the one of the couches. What really stinks was that I was so excited to spend a few grand here because I never really had furniture sets. Two Words - Overpromise, Under Deliver. This store won't be open much longer. Nobody at the store cares one bit, nor do they have the staff working for them to deliver on anything they say. There is only one thing worse than a used car salesman, and that's people working at this store. If you are stupid enough to buy from this company, buy online - only go to the store if you need to see something in person. The prices in the store are significantly more than online... even with their sale... even with whatever so-called "sales manager" that's working at the time. Shame on this company. We purchased our furniture in the store and paid in full on 5/28 and it's 6/30 and still haven't received it. Who waits a month for furniture? Seriously? It will not show up in a couple of weeks it will be a month. We went to the store because I saw many items online and wanted to check them out for our new house. We get to the store and walk around and nothing has an actual price on it... I believe they make up whatever they can get for it. After not really getting any help from the sales person, we settled on the bare min of what we need to try it out. (WE SHOULD OF TRUSTED OUR GUT AND WALKED OUT). We purchased a full living room set and chest of drawers and night stand for my son. The salesman, Lee, said they were having a huge sale. The prices he gave me were WAY MORE than online. I of course had to look up everything on my phone and point that out to him and come up with the number. And then he said very disappointed, "well, we have to honor the online pricing". NO KIDDING! So look out, if you don't do your homework and look at the prices online, they will GLADLY stick it to you. Perhaps, my ability to look at the prices online put me on a list of people they don't want to do business with. Assuming this place was like Rooms to Go (same quality) and we'd have our furniture in a few days, I ask after paying in full, "when will it be delivered?" and he said "in a couple weeks". Nobody could give me an exact date, but they would contact me. After a "couple of weeks" I call back and check on delivery. She said a few more weeks. I told her it was unacceptable and they told me a couple of weeks. She said it is only a couple. I had to explain to her that a couple was two. It's very apparent by the tone and attitude that you get on the phone that this is a constant all day long. They are completely numb to your frustration and eagerness to find a resolution. Some guy who has keys to the store and claims to be a "sales manager", Chris called. Said my sales person was only in there for an event and misinformed me (no kidding... way to have lack of training Mr. Sales Manager". Says he will put me down for delivery the 27th of June, and then says let's be safe and do June 28th. I called a few days ago, because again no one contacted me. And it was then "scheduled" for the 29th between 8:15 and 11:15 AM. Again, I hear NOTHING, so I called to see what they were going to do about all of this failure. Now it's on me (because they don't take messages apparently) and hunt down the store manager. The store manager agreed with me the whole time. Can't say I'm wrong and it does lay 100% on his shoulders that the service in that store is so below par. They did take off $200 to match the online price that some how was still cheaper... prices dropping like their BUSINESS! Got a call yesterday, automated, and was the best interaction I've had from anyone at the company yet. Said my furniture would be delivered between 3:15-5:15 - SHOCKER, again can't keep their word. And I'll give you two guesses what happened next. It's 6/30 at 5:38... said they would be here around 6:15 and I'm over here holding my breath. Moral of the story - GO ESLEWHERE... it's less hassle, the prices are cheaper, and the delivery dates are clear. This is why brick and mortar stores go out of business. Good riddance! I will staple my head to my new couch before I buy another piece of furniture from Ashley Furniture in Myrtle Beach. read more

I feel like my order never got ordered and my order will be whatever they can find. I ask her if they were giving me stuff off the floor and she said no. We will see. I purchased a new bed room set furniture and the mattress. As you know you have all of these mattresses to sit down in the store, but until you get the mattress you purchase you really do not know if the mattress is going to fit your body. We have had the mattress for 3 days put the protective cover over on the mattress and we hate this mattress. The mattress is to firm we cannot sleep. I called today to see if they would exchange with a Sealy. The reason why we want a Sealy my son also got a new bed room furniture and mattress, but we went to Rooms To Go, and that mattress is the best. Ashley does not have the same but the Sealy they have is made the same way my son's is and that is what we want. I called today spoke to Steve at Ashley furniture and was told they cannot take it back because we have slept on it. I ask why can't you use as a floor model, and it is because they sale the floor model as well. If you are concern about the mattress being dirty or has germs after 1000 of people sit on the floor models what is the difference. The Sealy mattress that we wanted to get cost more then what we have now. I work in customer service and if I would have turned down a customer and not help them to make them happy I would be fired. I have spent over $10,000 with Ashley furniture but in the future I will be taken my money and business to ROOMS TO GO. I will also make sure my neighbors do the same. Very disappointed with the service and lack of concern with this store. I guess because it is franchise they can get away with no customer service and doing what they want to do. read more

Little did your sales associates realize, I was prepared to make a purchase that I had picked out online. Not once, but twice have we visited your establishment on E Frontage Road in Myrtle Beach and have been ignored while 5 associates sat around speaking among themselves, or walked on by without acknowledging our presence. Very dissatisfied with this store. The general manager wouldn't even give me his name I was suppose to have a delivery. No one contacted us. No email. Turns out after waiting a month they do not even have my furniture. The manager says to me "oh hang in there you will get it Tuesday ". Hang in there Such professionals. I asked him for his name he refused to give it to me. Said your gonna blow me up on yelp. Yup. This is true. In the flip side they claim they will refund my delivery charges. We shall see. This is not the first time I have had issue with this store they for the most part are very nice. However I have the managers name. Mr hang in there ! And if I don't have my delivery when they promised I will give his name to yelp corporate and anyone else that needs to know If i was suppose to have a delivery that was never coming why do I have to call them? We walked around the store for 30 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. After we decided to leave, Dana walked up to me and asked if anyone was helping us. I told her that no one was helping us and she asked if anyone had even spoken to us and I replied no. She told me that if we needed help to please find her. My husband and I decided to take another look at the bedroom suite we liked and then walked up to Dana at the counter. She walked away before speaking to us and we had to have someone call for her. After looking at the items online, Dana told me that they have different pricing in the store compared to online and that the store does not price match but their final pricing was better because they can give discounts. I ended up finding out that they can price match after reading other online reviews after my purchase. We purchased our items and were told that we would get a call when the items were ready to be delivered. On the 13th, I had a missed call with a voicemail saying that my delivery time would be between 2:30 and 4:30pm. About 10 minutes later, I had another call that I answered and confirmed my delivery time. At 4:13pm, I received a call from the dispatcher saying that they are running behind and will be at my house closer to my scheduled delivery time 6pm. I told him that my schedule time was 2:30 to 4:30 and he said no, it wasn't. I told him that I have a voicemail saying that it was 2:30 to 4:30 and that I would wait for it and to come on. At 7pm, our furniture still had not arrived so I called the store. After being placed on hold several times, Chris told me that I cancelled my delivery on Friday. I told him that I did not cancel my delivery because if I had, why would the dispatcher call me and say that they are running late? He placed me on hold again and then came back and said that I had called the store at 5:30 and spoke to someone about cancelling my delivery. I told him why would I cancel my delivery and then call wanting to know where it was at 7pm after waiting now for 5 hours for it, since now it was 7:30pm. I told him that after the customer service that I am receiving now and feel like I am being lied to that I wanted to cancel my order. He told me to sleep on it and there was nothing that he could even do until Tuesday. Sunday morning, Chris called me and said that he was sorry for the mix up and that there was another customer who called the store on Saturday to cancel and that my order was cancelled via email on Friday. I told him that still does not make any sense. He told me at this point he has no one else to believe but me because my story hasn't changed and he has gotten several other stories from dispatch. He told me that he does not have any idea of where my furniture is and that we would have to wait until Tuesday to find it but he would cancel and refund my delivery fee if I still wanted my furniture. Tuesday morning my husband went to pick up our furniture, he found out that it was the dispatcher that cancelled my order on Saturday after speaking to me and said that I wanted to reschedule my delivery for another day. My husband needed to return the mirror that we decided that we do not want and to exchange it for a dresser. He asked for a discount on the dresser since we have had nothing but issues from Ashley furniture. The employee said that he could give us a 15% off discount. I told him that the dresser is still cheaper online. He told me I can't match online prices. I told him that I know he can and he said well I can but not add it to our account. I told my husband to just return all of our items and leave and we will do business with another company. He then told my husband that he would do it and gave us the dresser for the online price. He ended up putting it on our account wrong.. Also 3 of our items came in damaged. We did tell them about it but they did nothing. I will never buy furniture again from this store and company or recommend this store to anyone. I feel as if I was made out to be a liar but instead I was the one being lied to. read more

I had a wonderful experience buying my new living room set from this Ashley furniture. I had just left Rooms-To-Go there at the beach and they had really upset me and made me angry. So even though I was preapproved for financing through them, I walked out. My mom suggested we go check out Ashley. I always was under the impression Ashely furniture was super expensive, but I said ok. As soon as we pulled up I saw the option that I was really wanting. A 90 days same as cash program. Then when we went inside we were greeted warmly by Linda. She allowed us to look around on our own without pressure. I really appreciate that. After looking at every single couch in the store (which is larger than it appears from the highway) I had two sets that I was interested in. She told me the pros and cons for both sets. She was very knowledgeable. She then said let me see what kind of package price I can work out for you. Let's just say it was amazing. I got everything I wanted (couch, loveseat, chair, and cocktail ottoman) for an amazing price. So quality and price, they beat Rooms-To-Go. So seriously, if you are looking for new furniture then you must go here and ask for Linda. Amazing! They have furniture for every price range, trust me. read more
