My husband & I purchased an entire living room set last year, including accessories (lamps, rug, etc). The tables & couches are covered with their protection plan, through a different company GBS. After about a week of having the furniture, we were unhappy with the couches, as they were uncomfortable. We went into the Northridge location & they told us that there is nothing they can do & "you sat on it in the showroom. All sales are final." That was strike one but I let it go. However, one of the $200 lamps recently stopped working (and its not the lightbulb). When I called the Northridge location they again were anything but helpful. I asked what could be done & they said "nothing." I then asked if they had a suggestion on who could fix the lamp, even for a fee, & the woman said "We cannot help you." Horrible customer service. Their business design sucks! I went into the store, found an accent table with 2 end tables (a set), they had 5 of them in the store. I basically begged them to let me buy one of the sets in the store to take home. They refused to sell me any of the store models. They said I would need to order it and have it shipped. So basically, be prepared when you go in, you will leave empty handed no matter what you do. This is why the amazon concept is kicking ass. If i can give negative 5 stars I would. Coming in and being greeted, I thought it was already good customer service. We just moved to a new place and needed a living room and dining table. They have package deals were you can pick accessories, tugs, pillows, etc which I thought it was cool. The guy that helped us was pushing me to pick the accessories and like anyone, you want to make sure you like them. He kept rushing me and when I made a quick decision so he can stop following me, he said "ill write it down quick so you wont change your mind and make me write again" i laughed it off. We made a 3k purchased and told us everything was going to be delivered on Monday. We had to pay a delivery fee which i wasnt too amused about. Monday comes, half of my things get delivered. No one informed us about getting items shipped to us. To top it off they didnt have the unit number, even after double checking with sales. Now, I cant get my items because ups didnt have the right address, my Id is not linked to the nee address (ups is making it a big deal). I called the store, they got me going in circles thru different people and resolved nothing. Why lie from the beginning, why pay delivery fee if your whole purchase doesnt get there. I came by today with my girl shopping for beds, furniture etc.. we were initially greeted by John Ferguson, I must admit he was very professional, very helpful and very knowledgeable, not pushy at all. John gave us a lot of insight and info on all the products. We must have been in that store for 2 hours and Mr. John was very patient as I am usually a handful and ask a million questions! They gave us a great discount and price overall, Manager Juan came by and put the icing on the cake. I think i may have redecorated my entire apartment for only $4,000. Don't shop at Ashley because God for bid something goes wrong you can't return it or get store credit or do anything. The manager is too busy to even get on phone or get back to you and corporate doesn't even help. Basically corporate says decisions is at store level and store days is company policy and its st corporate level. I bought my furniture 5 months ago . I had to order it on line at the store bc they didn't have it on floor. During delivery I was at work and my husband was home. So for all he knew this is exactly what I ordered. When I got home I saw the furniture and I was highly disappointed to see the color was very ugly and darker then what I expected and material was horrific. It feels like potato sack or something really tough I called Ashley to let them know I'm not happy they said there's nothing we can do you should of said something at time of delivery. I decided to give it a chance. 5 months later I can't even set on my own expensive couch that I'm still paying for. The couch is not damaged but it really hurts my back and I literally have to set on floor or lie on floor bc I'm simply not comfortable. I decided to call Ashley again , I asked for manager and Jennifer at store told me manager is too busy . When I told her I'm not happy w furniture she said bunch of store policy crap to me and gave me number to corporate. I went to the store yesterday to look at some desks, the person up front was friendly enough and gave us a their sale paper. When we were in the store not a single person asked if we needed help. When we were leaving the woman I said thank you and goodbye and she just ignored me and went to introduce herself to people who didn't want to talk to her. I had a few question about delivery because they advertise free delivery but only offer their $69 home delivery service so I called 3 times just now (1:30pm on a Tuesday afternoon) and I guess they are too busy to even just pick up the phone and say hold please. I would of given a zero but that wasn't an option. Recently bought a full size bed that had a twin pull out trundle underneath. Got the bed delivered as promised. Delivery people were in and out as they usual are especially being that it was Friday at 4:00. Needless to say they weren't interested in me getting my mattresses out. Not that it even crossed my mind. That being said I signed paperwork and they left. My husband and I went to set up beds and sure enough the trundle bed will no longer close when the mattress is on. We call customer service and they state the trundle holds 9 inch mattress. Ours is 8 inch. So why doesn't it fit!? Well apparently that is no Longer Ashley furnitures problem because we signed the paperwork. Don't worry their very rude customer service representative Celine made that quite clear. Well we had a technician out to see if bed was out together wrong. Nope all good. Here was another 4 hour of waiting window complete waste of time. So we got store manager Jeff on the phone who was equally as useless. He was going to let us know what they could do after he got report from technician. After several calls to him and him not returning our calls and then having his customer service rep Celine call Us back because he didn't want to deal with us!! We were told we could have 45% off a new mattress. Pretty sure I can get 45% off your overpriced mattresses by just walking in the door or walking in the door on a sale! So needless to say Ashley furniture has lost a loyal customer over a few bucks. I'm all about principal I will go somewhere else and get a smaller mattress but you better believe I will let everyone Know what these independently owned, zero customer service companies due to loyal customers. As a business owner myself I know that reviews go a long way. Liers!! beware of these people. spent 2K on a sofa set last year and included the warranty for a full coverage of 2 years. only a year after we bought the sofa, before I even finished paying for it the leather starts to peel off and the middle seat of the 3 seater sofa started sinking in and being lower than the other 2 seats. called CS and had a tech send on 4/22, tech started arguing with me telling me that the leather isn't peeling and that it is just food left overs, used their magic liquid the "clean" the leftovers off, off course 2 hours later , the food stains are back on. The tech also promised that they will be sending me a replacement foam for the middle cussion, off course 3 weeks later when I call to inquire about the ETA of the foam, Im informed that the tech filled out a completely different report and that there is no foam part in route to me. Very bad CS, save yourself the $$ and the headache and get your furniture elsewhere. read more

Thanks to Emad F. and Luise G. for helping us out with our two day ordeal. With their efforts and hard work we walked out with everything that we wanted. I bought couches here and everything was great... Or so I thought. The couches were suppose to be delivered April 2. I call them April 2, a lady tells me no I have them scheduled for Monday. Okay, not a big deal. She told me I'll probably receive a call later in the day to confirm delivery time. Everything sounds great. Today I call because HELLO!!! IT'S MONDAY AND NO PHONE CALL! BEWARE OF LACK OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION! This place does not honor their "Mattress sleep gurantee" which allows customers to try there mattress for 30days. I purchased a tempurpedic mattress along with a bed set. Keep in mind these mattresses are not cheap. Upon delivery, bed frame came cracked and damaged. The receipt states they would replace if notified within 72 hours . I go into the store to let them know of the damaged piece and the manager had the nerve to mention sales are final and the best they can do is repair it rather than replacing the part. I then mention to them, I would simply like to upgrade to a bigger mattress since the one I had delivered was a lot smaller than imagined and unfortunately was not in show room. They argued about exchanging the product and denied their trial period. This is very upsetting on their end to not meet customer satisfaction. This store does not hold up to Ashley's furniture standards. I had the product in original packaging for literally a weekend when I mentioned an exchange and they failed to honor that. If they do help me out with this so called follow up, which I'm doubting after these reviews, I would be glad to write about it. As of now, their in person manager and customer support was worthless. Our order was delayed 2 months, and the day were were to get it, the delivery guy didn't bother to leave a voicemail or try to call more than once because he had an issue before drop off. I tried calling the delivery person on route, had the name and phone number to track him...no answer (called him about 20x). Even the ppl from Ashley Store said the delivery team doesn't answer their calls. How unprofessional. Now we have no furniture for Thanksgiving Christmas or New Years. UPDATE: Upgrade from 2 to 3 stars. After posting this review, I got a call from the local manager, informing me that corporate marketing team had alerted him to my issue because they monitor Yelp. So, it was explained to me that all the beds are now this new color and their floor model is different, and I could exchange it for the same bed. Why would I do that? My wife didn't mind the new color too much, so we decided to avoid the hassle and keep it. They promised to send me a replacement leg, but that never showed up. I fixed the leg myself and decided to make it better in the process. They also promised me a $100 credit for something in the store, but I just haven't bothered to go back. read more

I'll be honest. I am not the type to write anything on yelp but I have to share this. I purchased a piece of furniture from Ashley's in Northridge and when it was delivered it was damaged. The delivery guy got on the phone and told their dispatcher that the furniture was in fact damage. The delivery guy steps outside makes a call and takes off. The furniture was left without putting it together. I called them asking what had happened and the dispatcher tells me that my wife sign for the delivery. My wife did not sign a thing and once we sent pics of the furniture the dispatcher tells me that is natural to the wood. Dispatcher emails me a copy of a form that we never got showing some one else signature. Not only did the delivery person took off he went ahead and sign the paper work himself. I was told by Ashley's that the furniture could not be replaced and it had to be fixed by one of their technicians. I never paid for a used piece of furniture so what keep it. I called and reported all this and was promised that some one would get back to me but no one ever did. Sigh. We've been to various Ashley stores and this was our latest attempt. Wanted to get a reclining sofa/loveseat. This should not be hard. Salesman on the floor handed us coupons and directed us where to look - so far so good. After looking for a bit we found a set we liked. Unfortunately there was no price listed. So we asked the salesman and he looked high and low for a model number. Apparently he couldn't find one and he started helping another customer.
