We moved from accross country so we needed everything. Bought living room first and mattress. Waited to find a bedroom set we both agreed on. The couches are great. Delivery on time and professional. Mattress was store brand and needed returning. They have a no return policy once you've signed off on delivery. So buy your mattress elsewhere. After a lot of phone calls a guy come out to check the mattress. They agreed to give us store credit for it. We went to pick out wall decor with the credit but found a bedroom set. Due to the mattress problems which we told the store manager about they gave us a great discount on all we bought that day and free delivery. The second delivery was on time and even more professional and friendly than the first team. A side table was broken out of the box. The delivery guy apologized any took it back. Northridge location are scammers and they try to rip you off it was such a sad experience I went 2 weeks in 4 1 couch I got a quote did the credit check I notified them that I would be back in the following week on the Friday they've clearly mentioned bring the paper and you should be fine I arrived in the following week and they've missed quote me a higher price and then one of the different women was telling me I should just buy it full price all rude not caring about me I felt uncomfortable and lied to and the representative from the credit check place behind the counter said that it was the other paper and it was not I had two papers with a quote and I remember that that one was for the Darcy sofa and that's the cheaper one they were going to charge me $700 when online it's 300$ so I walked away but I clearly mentioned to the people there look I told you I would be back you should have told me otherwise if the price would have changed I don't have a problem with that what I have a problem with is being lied to so I walk away frustrated and upset and then I felt like I have to call and talk to a manager so I'm so I'm so angry frustrated and I told a girl let me talk to the manager I wait on hold for 30 minutes then they say yes we can honor that deal it's like what the hell I had to cause a fit so I can get the deal that was told to me a week before you know what I just had enough I didn't want to come in and I went to buy my furniture at another furniture store I will never shop at Ashley Furniture in my life there needs to be New Management in the Northridge location because if these are the type of people they are hiring then it just tells me that they're not even doing good business it's all about taking care of the customer and providing them with correct information and doing your best to get them the deal that they're looking for I'm not saying free but what I'm saying is out a comforting price. This was the first purchase I made through Ashley furniture and my experience could not have been any better thanks in large part to David. Originally my order was split into two very inconvenient dates, but David went above and beyond to contact the right people and organize my order to arrive on a single, very timely date. And with the help of his manager Lee I was also able to even add additional purchases to be piggybacked into my order and arrive all on the same day. Just a piece of advice - when you set your mind on what you want to buy be sure to check the prices online before the sales representative offers you a 'good' deal. They show off they have been doing their best by walking up to the manager to offer you the price that is already listed online. It saves you a lot of time and effort. In Ashley northridge everything is priced way too high so when the 'nice' representative offers you a price it would be a 'good' price. They just trap customers this way. I liked a lamp that was prices $500 in store and the 'nice' manager offered me a 40% discount on it at first and later 50% if I buy it at the moment with my other stuff. Later on the day I happened to check their website, the lamp was not only $400 but also 50% disocunt was offered on it with free shipping. I took it to the customer service they were not agreeing to give me the money back however when I said I would cancel this order and can order it online, its free shipping anyways, they agreed to give me on the same price as online. No doubt I really like the furniture they have, but you have to be smart with them. I learned my lesson. Hope this helps. read more

If you want to feel like you stepped onto a used car lot you should definitely visit this store. There's probably 20 salespeople staring at you like vultures but probably 2 customers in the store at any given time. I spoke to a sales person named john over the phone asking about a specific loveseat I was looking for and I was told to come down to the store because he could definitely order it for me and even told me he could price match a website I found that had it for cheaper. So I go down there an hour later and he tells me "oh we don't have it I'm not able to order it for you". So thank you for wasting my time and making me come down there when you knew you wouldn't be able to order it for me. Pleased with my purchase of my couch and dresser that I came back again a 2nd time to purchase the couches love seat. Then a 3rd time once more for a chest. Worst Customer Service ever, beyond belief. We ordered a Dining table before Thanksgiving decided to host dinner at our house for Thanksgiving based on their promise to deliver the items by Tuesday at the latest. Guess what no delivery was made Tuesday, nor Wednesday until we get a call the day of Thanksgiving at 6 am from the delivery people that they will be here by 10am to set it up. Keeping in mind when placing the order they said delivery is $150 and you have to pay cash to the delivery people because its a third party, somehow before leaving the store it was now up to $175 for delivery and then the day of delivery they charged $200 cash. I called the store non stop and not once did they call back or let me speak to the manager. I called the main office and they didnt even have the delivery set up to say the least about the order. All they did was blame the delivery people who were not at fault saying the delivery people changed their mind about picking up my order. Everyone there had a different story. Ashley Furniture made promises to people just to get the sale done. I still don't have my plates, place mats or rug that were supposed to be delivered. Now I call and they won't pick up the phone. 2 weeks later still no call back from anyone. I get better service at the Jack in the box drive thru. read more

Let me start with saying that I had a GREAT experience at the store. It is with their financing bank, Synchrony Bank, that I have an issue. I was treated impecably by the sales team, but Synchrony Bank is a NIGHTMARE. My advice - do not buy anything from Ashley. My story: Ashley delivered the damage dresser and it is already for three month they are trying to replace it with good one. They did six deliveries and every time they delivered damaged piece. I refused to accept the damaged dresser. Multiple times the store manager promised me that next time they will inspect and check the dresser before delivery. However, every time is same problem. if you can avoid buying from this store, please do so. I'm not saying that you don't buy Ashley furniture. Don't get me wrong. Ashley provides good craftsmanship and nice designs. Quality is ok too. JUST DON'T BUY FROM THIS STORE! One star is not even the right rating for this store. I should give them just a quarter of a star. We bought 6 pieces of furniture from them which cost about $6.5K. Initially, I didn't want to commit because I know I can get those furniture cheaper from other stores. But my wife insisted to not go anywhere and just buy the furniture from them. The salesman even ADVISED US NOT TO CHECK THE PRICES FROM OTHER STORES!!. That prompted me to even do my own research. And so after doing my research, I found 2 stores within the LA county region that sells exactly the same products for half the price. So we went back and requested for a price match otherwise we'll just cancel our orders. The store manager had a hard time on deciding if they will match the price. Eventually he did, but from his body language, I could tell that he was up to something no good. They promised us that the furniture will be delivered in 2 weeks. We got all the furniture at $3.5K - almost half of this store's price. 2 weeks had passed, then came the delivery date. No show, We followed up and they said it will take another week. After a week, we received a call the they still cannot deliver the furniture because only 2 out of 6 were ready. So we agreed since we don't have a choice. But the following day, they showed up with everything complete! We we're happy at that time. However, unknowingly, they sent us defective units. The sofa recliner could not recline (stuck), the rocker recliner had a lose part inside is heard when the it rocks, the coffee table had sides that are not nailed or glued properly. So far I haven't seen any defects yet for the other 3 as they are more static. But I'm sure they have defects too, maybe cosmetically. THEY GAVE US LEMONS!! We requested for either exchange or refund. It took us a lot of phone calls, a lot of complaints and they won't even bulge. They said the best thing that they can do is a repair. We paid for good brand new units and what they're giving us are broken ones that they will repair?? Common, give me a break!! I even told them that I will report them to BBB and they said go ahead. The only time that they changed their mind was when I called the main Ashley warehouse office. I was told that every store has it's own warehouse and it's own customer service. They cannot help me replace the units but they can call the store and request to take care of my demands. And so they did I think. They replaced 2 of the broken furniture after 2 plus months. One of them is still outstanding and hopefully it'll be delivered/exchanged soon. Again STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE IF YOU CAN!!! You may try Michaels Furniture Store or Urban Living Furniture. They sell Ashley products too. Check their web sites and you'll see their prices are half of that of this Ashley store. And they will not give you defective products. read more

I have used Ashely Furniture every time I have needed a couch or bedroom set over the past 15 years. Quality has alway been good and the deliver as promised. I much different experience at the Northridge Store. Purchased a couch on the day after thanks giving and was supposed to be delivered the first week in December according to the sales rep. You are supposed to get a call two days prior to delivery but that call did not come. Called in myself to find out why and they informed me that it was back ordered so I would not be getting it by Christmas. Was then set to come the first week of January but two days prior I was informed it would be back ordered another week. Needless to say this lack of service has changed my opinion of the furniture company and I will look elsewhere in the future for my home furnishing needs. Chris read more

DON'T BUY FROM ASHLEYS, ESPECIALLY THIS STORE - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I purchased a very expensive bedroom set 3 years ago and the bed just fell apart. Luckily I purchased the extended coverage, but found out today that it will take 2 weeks to process my claim. So I won't have a bed to sleep on for at least 2 weeks. I called the store to see if they could provide a bed frame and they said no, sorry, if you want a frame you will have to buy a frame. Unbelievable, they sell furniture that only last 3 years and then don't care. The bedroom set I had before I purchase this one lasted 40 years, never had a problem with it. This is the largest purchase I have made from Ashley Furniture HomeStore and will be my last purchase of any Ashley product. They do not stand behind their furniture or provide any customer service. When I bought my couch from Lazy Boy, there was a delay, and without asking Lazy Boy gave me my end tables for free. I bought a sofa set. when I was at the store, I sat on them for fifteen minutes and they look comfortable. I thought they have exchange policies because even online store has exchange or return policies for customer's convenient.. I made a mistake and didn't ask them if they have one or no. She would suggest things and let my husband and I wander around the store without smothering us. She checked in with us multiple times, and always gave us time and distance to speak amongst ourselves. Emad also assisted us and was very helpful. I ordered this on Black Friday and got it delivered on December 9th. Upon delivery of this sofa the delivery guys damaged the apartment stairs and other places. I have filed claim with AshleyHomes since December and they have denied the claim now stating they did not damage it. This was my first transaction with this company and because of this terrible service my mother is now facing a $1200 charge from the landlord and other negative issues. The neighbors and I saw the damages being done infront of our eyes and have provided all the photos and everything to their department but they are denying everything. Because of this one transaction with this company my mom is facing this charge and possibly legal actions from the landlord. My mother is disabled and do not have that $1200 to pay the landlord for the damages that this company has caused. She only had that little money to buy this furniture on Black Friday but this company is basically ruining her living situation. read more

oxnard/ventura store is great go there folks! 4 purchases now & all has been great, got credit when 1 piece didn't make the delv date but hey $70 bucks is $70 bucks i saved a ton on the combination table/ottoman/oversized chair. manager/ & salesman mark horowitz saved me a lot! materials, cushion & overall feel on the harelson chair/ottoman are nice! for the price u can't possibly beat it. now one has to hope it holds up! but that's the case with everything including my sexy girl! the chair is big u can sleep on it w/ottoman its huge! so should make for a sexy place to relax, sleep/winter fireplace & nieces nephews visit they can sit. read more
