Poor quality control ! I ordered a 4-piece bedroom Blairhurst collection set. Issue#1: All have the same lot number, but they are different shades. Issue #2: One piece had a large white spot - coating defect. This was replaced within 1 month. The replacement is dramatically lighter than all of the other pieces and obvious mis-match. They said they only offer 1 exchange and will not resolve the issue. Issue #3: The bedframe side panels were not properly aligned, and I've been waiting for 6 weeks to get this corrected. I purchased a chair from Ashley Furniture on May 11th after seeing it online. Shortly after my in-store purchase, I found the same chair $100 cheaper on their website, with free delivery and a $50 coupon. I contacted the store, and they initially agreed to price match and provide free delivery. After numerous calls and runarounds with a nice representative named Alex, I was told I would be reimbursed the $100 difference and free delivery. When the delivery date was too far out, I opted to pick up the chair myself on May 13th because it was free. They promised the refund on May 12th, but despite their assurance, the refund never showed up. Both the Manager Josh and assistant manager Ricco told me it was processed through corporate already. Corporate now claims they have no record of this arrangement and refuse to honor the promised refund because I picked up the chair and it's completed. This experience has been incredibly disappointing. The lack of communication and follow-through, along with corporate's refusal to honor their own commitment, is unacceptable. I expected better. Here's my advice on how to be a successful salesperson: when you ask a potential customer a question actually LISTEN to the words they speak instead of the words you want to hear. When you ask if they'd like a demo and they say they'd already done that - do not press your earpiece like you are in the CIA and get someone to run over and insist they do the demo. We had been at a competitor earlier in the day and hadn't felt as confident and as comfortable as we did here. **UPDATE** 12/4/2020 After ordering $2400 worth of stuff in the beginning of September, and after multiple delays for when it would arrive, we finally got our confirmation for a DECEMBER delivery. When it arrived today, multiple pieces were damaged. So the delivery guys tell us that either we can keep it damaged and deal with it, or we can send it back and wait AGAIN for another replacement shipment to arrive! It gets even more ridiculous... When I call any of the 7 different numbers to talk to someone about it, none of the numbers work, or it cuts out or hangs up on me! I'm now trying to text someone from the helpdesk, but all they can tell me is that since this isn't a "corporate" store, I have to contact the store. (the store that doesn't answer the phone). I am so beyond pissed at this point, that I'm lucky this update isn't filled with a bunch of swear words. The delivery people left all the pieces that weren't damaged in boxes on my bedroom floor, blocking my path to the closet and the bathroom, so now we have to do gymnastics in order to use our living space. Slick looking stores..fast talking salesman, promises of prompt service.but it's all a lie. And I have heard many stories about them but I loved the sofa so much I ignored them. First you can only communicate through text or e mail. There is no direct customer service..and you are going to get a BOT to start. Jenny..your personal BOT. We bought an expensive leather sectional from them that came defective. They delivered another one that is worse than the first..the seams don't line up across the bottom cushions , the back is uneven..it's an embarrassment. There is a wedge piece and the leather is pulled incorrectly and is not smooth. As soon as the sofa was delivered I got an automated email asking how everything was.,so I told them and sent a series of pictures that clearly showed the defects to the requested number and was informed me they would not exchange the sofa. So we are now stuck with a defective expensive sofa that looks terrible. I tried to text back the two numbers I had from customer service and I have been blocked! The messages are undeliverable with the red exclamation point! Even the text message number where I sent the requested photos is gone! I e mailed asking them to come get the sofa and return my money PLUS the extra $1000 we gave them for extended warranty and have received no answers. Do not buy from them. Salesperson known by "Jennifer" told me that she could tell I was pregnant due to how round my face was. (I am 6 months pregnant but this was not a comment I was expecting from a salesperson. If I could give this place lower than a zero, I would. I do not recommend wasting your time or money here. They do not care about their customers. I have been waiting since mid-June for a refund. I have gone back and forth via phone and email, upon speaking with the managers at this location and the Madison Heights location, I was left even more confused and lost as to where my refund had gone. You would think "refund" means give the money back for the price the customer paid. Not with this company you will be told to come back in to pay more because the transaction went through twice for a refund, but yet 2 months later still NOT ONE REFUND. I am still owed $2,031.47, not a small sum. At this point for my long hours of conversations from one department to another, to one manger to another, I'd rather have just taken it and threw it in the garbage. She said that Ashley would cover it the first year, but after that the warranty would pick up any issues. We purchased 2 "nice" accent chairs for our entry office and in less than 11/2 years the frame of one of them fell apart. I mean, as in crumbled. Call again to follow-up with the store manager. The store manager then will tell you they are looking into it and they will call you back. 6. Never receive return phone call. 7. Call AGAIN to follow-up with the store manager. The store manager then will tell you there is a new delivery date and they promise it will arrive FOR REAL this time. 8. Wait for NEW delivery date - don't receive furniture. 9. GO BACK TO STEP 2 AND START AGAIN!!!! This will go on for months and you are not likely to ever see your full furniture order. Expect no explanation, no commitment to the promise to be called back, and never receiving your furniture after many broken promises and terrible communication. Do yourself a favor and go to a place that can actual deliver your furniture. Or better yet, go into Ashley Furniture, check out what you like, and ORDER ONLINE! Paul the manager and his incompetent worker Khabir Sims truly raised my blood pressure from the entire sales experience. I wish I could have listened to the horrible reviews before going to this store but wow, I wish I could give -0 stars. They are liars and will not disclose certain things to you during your sales process. Their only goal is to make a deal, lie about when the item will be available and don't own up to their mistakes. They told us the item is available within 1 week. After 2 months I just received the box today with more horrible news. In addition to the LONG delay, they just dropped off the box and wanted to leave it outside while it's cold and snowing because of a major mistake the sales rep made. They did not disclose the 2 different delivery options (white glove which is set up and doorstep delivery). The sales rep LIED TO US AND THE SALES MANAGER ABOUT IT AND THEY ARE NOT OWNING UP TO THEIR MISTAKES. I live by myself and cannot lift heavy boxes. I would like to start out by saying that the In-store service is fantastic, friendly and welcoming. (At least 5 star service). This is all undermined by our delivery and phone follow-up experience. Our two movers dragged chairs across our wooden floor, dinged up our newly delivered furniture and came totally unprepared. They showed up 45min BEFORE the scheduled time and we were not ready. They also asked if we had a drill they could use, and mocked my mother for not having a cordless drill because "something came apart in the truck". They also said choice words to my mother and treated her like an annoyance. Long story short - we're returning the furniture we were so excited to get. (The chairs were wobbly anyways!) I was informed later that Ashley uses 3rd party drivers for delivery for some of their orders. I hope someone reads this and removes that 3rd party from their driver list. I purchased a whole living room set and within the month the power recliners broke and are stuck in the upright position. They have a 5 year warranty and so I made a claim they gave me an appointment one month out and canceled it claiming they have no one in our area to fix it and gave me another appointment another month away . " CAVEAT EMPTOR " My wife and I purchased a sectional couch on Black Friday. I had my wife call Ashley Furniture customer service to confirm our delivery date. To our surprise, they explained that the tentative delivery has been moved to late March. Again it may move again so it may take 4-5 months or more to receive the couch that we paid debit card cash with. As a result, we went to the store and cancelled the order. The gentleman who took care of us created a Sales Order with the credit on it and explained that it may take up to 48 hours before we receive the credit. After a few days they didn't credit our card so I called their customer service and explained our dismay with the wait. The person I talked with created a ticket to expedite payment within 48 hours. That was 2 weeks ago. I called their Customer Service yesterday and they created a ticket again with no results. My only option now is to take Ashley HomeStore to small claims court to get a refund on a product that wasn't delivered with a delayed 4 plus months with a continuous run around by staff and Customer Service. Additionally, I will be seeking local news to review our story since it is so compelling of how horrible this has been. Zero stars. Negative stars. This has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The chair was supposed to be ready for pickup in March , it's now April 12th (Yes we are picking it up, because they want 100+ dollars to deliver it to my mothers house, and they won't even deliver it to my house at all.) So I called a few weeks ago to try and find out when it would be ready and the robot says within 2 weeks. So then I wait two weeks and call and it says within two weeks again. So for 4 weeks it's saying 2 weeks. So then I try to talk to a human , get put on hold for 30 mins all for the phone to ring finally and then disconnects me. SO I decide to call Eleni, the woman who helped us originally , because she gave us her personal number . I call her and she answers confused and says it's her day off. Okay then why do you give out your personal number ??? Lmao . But she says she'll contact her manager and get back to me in a few minutes. Hours and hours go by and it's like 8 pm or something so I know she forgot about me so I text her to let her know she/they forgot about me. She says I will take care of this first thing in the morning!! She never did. So that's two days of her blowing me off. So then I try customer service again and finally after waiting on hold forever get a human and I talk to them on weds April 6th and she says I'll be getting a text the next day and that it will be ready for pickup and the text will tell me where to go and how to schedule my pickup etc. I'm like okay Great it's almost over . So I think I'm going to get a text and my husband takes my dads truck to work thinking maybe he can pick it up . Thursday goes by no text. So Friday afternoon he takes the truck again and no text. I decide to go to the store in person and drive a half hour there to talk to a human and the manager , Morgan; said when I told her the customer service lady said I'd get a text yesterday (Thursday) that the lady wouldn't have said that cuz that's not how it works and I wouldn't get a text? At this point I'm so fed up with the way I've been treated I just start crying. Mind you I'm pregnant , due July 8th and this chair is for my nursery. So then Morgan says while looking at the computer oh it looks like Saturday and I'm like ok well lol is that for sure cuz if my husband goes to get it and can't get it ..... So she calls someone at distribution and makes sure to tell me that's not something they normally are allowed to do and he says it ISNT there and won't be there Saturday and the earliest it will come is possibly Monday, which was yesterday. Morgan promises SHE will take care of me and gives me HER number . She promises multiple times she'll call me on Monday. GUESS WHO DIDNT CALL ME MONDAY. I honestly just want to get the money back and go elsewhere at this point after months of first waiting and now over a month of just trying to be helped. Original review : We were asked over & over & over if we wanted the protection plan. My mom said no. Then in the end she said she was going to just throw it in for free for us. But what she really did is give us 20 percent off & then charged for the protection plan. They have a 30 day guarantee where if the price goes down within 30 days they will adjust the price you paid. The price went down to 20percent off two days later so my mom went in there to see if they would honor their price adjustment guarantee. We paid full price or so we thought but since she gave us 20 percent off and put the protection plan on, they would not honor the 20 percent off price for us. When we didn't even want the protection plan if we had to pay for it. So that was pretty lame. My mom would have preferred 20 percent off this chair and to save money than to get a fake discount and be CHARGED for a protection plan we don't need. Also keep in mind we had to pay 100 dollars if we wanted it delivered so we have to pick it up all the way in Romulus now because we didn't want to add yet another 100 dollars to the cost of the very expensive chair. If I could give zero stars I would. I have no idea how this place is still in business. if you are thinking about getting furniture from Ashley, run! I waited 6 months for a broken couch and still waiting on the replacement. It has now been a year! They have no idea when the new couch will be here. They have attempted to deliver on a few occasions but only came to pick up the broken one with no replacement. No one ever knows what is going on when you call.. complete nightmare! Received a couch today from Ashley Furniture, delivery took six months, but that is not my complaint. Our horrible experience started with our sale woman who over shared for more than a half hour with us at the store. You see the first couch I wanted would take 6 months for delivery so I selected a different one that was in stock and would take less than a month. Instead of imminently processing our transaction the sales woman tries to sell me insurance then talks to me about her baby daddy. Well turns out someone else got the one couch in stock while she was wasting my time, so it took 6 months. Oh I almost forgot, the sales woman ran my credit for the couch and when I was "only" approved for 10k she offered to run it again. The couch was only 2k. Also if you know how credit scores work you would know that multiple hard inquires are a bad thing on a credit check. Back to today I finally received this couch, and they delivered it missing half the couch cushions. How does it even leave the warehouse without them? Did they forget to make enough cushions? Is the white glove delivery I paid for ($100) not enough motivation to actually deliver the product in full? The delivery guys were no help "call the warehouse" and gave me a card. Somehow they wasted even more of my time. They forgot the cushions why would I need to do anything at all to receive the product in full. Great business though, I highly recommend shopping here for a terrible experience. Well I'm off for a two hour drive to the warehouse to pick up these cushions, and if you buy from Ashley you can do the same thing! read more

may 17 ordered box springs and mattress with scheduled delivery june 13. box springs was delivered but not mattress. white glove service. all the phones were down. went to store and all computers down. no one had any info on where mattress is and when will be delivered. was given managers cell phone and as expected did not answer and never returned call. will be going to store to get $2,200 refund. read more

This is the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Do not purchase your furniture from here!!! They had me clear out my child's bedroom for a bedroom set delivery that came partial. We are unable to have the bed assembled so my kid has no where to sleep for another TWO WEEKS. I would have rather waited additional time than have them deliver partially. I can't believe they are in business still, customer service was ZERO help. What a complete waste of time and money. GO ELSEWHERE. read more

I went to ashley furniture and purchased a mattress set for 2000.00 and was promised I would receive it within 3 to 4 days. on delivery day a matress came with no box springs so I returned it. then they call me and were so sorry they said after I scheduled my day to wait for a delivery. so I let them reschedule for a date I picked that they offered and to no avail again they change there delivery date to suit them. Its christmas time and no one was going to be home that day. So told them I want to cancel my order and they charge a restocking fee of 10%. so I will be calling bbb because this just isn't right so beware.. 12-15-2021 read more
