Echoing what others have stated. Ordered flooring materials ($13k), said it would arrive in 7-10 days. Called and called trying to get someone to answer to get an update as we were on day 15 of no call stating materials were ready for pickup. Once I finally got someone on the phone I was then told it would be another 8 weeks before all the materials arrived. 2 whole months longer delaying the project! Be sure to ask about the lead time for the TOTAL order, because they give you the eta for the materials that come in the fastest. Great selection on materials for what it's worth. read more

Meh. I came the first time to look at flooring since I needed something asap. Getting someone to help was pretty difficult, but eventually a younger guy came to help and was really nice. They let you buy samples for 5 bucks each which is okay except they don't label what they are, so you basically have to return to the store AGAIN to get the item in person instead of ordering online unless you want to just guess. I did decide to come back and purchase it in store. Again, I had to track down someone. There were about 5 employees socializing and ignoring me but I found another employee finally who was clearly very stressed since she was doing all the work. She was able to get someone to help me load the flooring on a cart. I would think that most people need help with this since flooring can be very heavy, but when I asked if they could help load the items into the car they looked at me like I was a total idiot. Is this not a common request?! Also, they made me push the items to the front register (this is not a small store btw) to pay but then told me they would load the items in the back bay. So why not have people check you out in the back?! The woman working at the front cashier was honestly pretty unfriendly and I felt bad she had to leave her work to walk the items to the back of the store because apparently no one else could help her out? The system here is not efficient at all. Oh, and I know they can't of anything about this but there is hardly any parking since they share a lot with a very popular gym. read more

I would echo what many have already said here. They have a very nice selection of tile and flooring in general, so we come here pretty much any time we have a tile or flooring project because of the size of their selection compared to Lowes or Home Depot (even though it doesn't seem to have changed much in three years. However, the service is always minimal to none and there is typically always only one person checking people out. This has only been an issue a couple times, but they definitely do not prioritize customer service or having their employees even check on you to see if you need anything. read more

As a contractor I have been shopping here ever since the store opened. I recently was returning a few things after spending 3000$ for 2 bathrooms. Lady was having a hard time due to her lack of knowledge. She calls a coworker named Ronald for help and he ends up telling me "are you sure you didn't walk out with the stuff", basically telling me I stole them. After about 1 hour of my time wasted, the return somehow finally processed. I did confront the worked for the words he said and he goes "oh we didn't say that". I left the store very offended and extremely pissed off from this experience. I did send an email to the store manager as well. But, from the way the customer service is on this store (Shelby Twp) i suggested hiring a new manager. read more

Easy to get to off Hall Road. This store was recommended by several friends and family. They separately described it as the "Home Depot of tile". By that they meant great selection and reasonable prices. I concur! I had looked for tile everywhere from high end specialty shops to big box stores and either found expensive beautiful tile or ugly cheap tile. Floor & Decor has beautiful tile at moderate to low prices. Their selection of large format pieces alone is worth visiting. I like that much of it is made in Italy, Spain, or Brazil. Other reviewers mentioned lack of customer service. I've been in several times and never had a problem getting questions answered or being left alone to shop when I preferred that. I spoke with a gentleman from the pro desk as well as a young female cashier yesterday about the return policy and they were both very helpful and friendly. So I ordered cementisous hydroban from this place it said it would arrive in a week or two over a month went by and I could not get a hold of anybody there because they do not respond to their emails. I've been buying from this place for the last 7 years and it has going down hill faster then Lindsay Von (professional downhill skier) in the Olympics. Pricing is compatible to its quality and middle of the road for budget purposes. I personally only use their grout for ceramic and porcelain tile because it's texture and consistency are the best. The website, their customer service, and email instructions are absolutely terrible (insert Charles Barkleys terrible here) I've been here 4 times lately, and three of them I could not get a shopping cart because there were none available. Trying to find someone in the store, to help you, is nearly impossible, and there is usually only one cashier at best with long lines. In my last experience today, my wife checked me in for curbside at 12:35. I waited 40 minutes and no one came, and I walked in the store and told the cashier. She told me I needed to pull in the back of the store, with these instructions were never mentioned in the email, and there are no signs of front to tell you this. I gave her my order number and she said they would have it ready. Just pull around to the back. When I pull around to the back I parked and I waited another 40 minutes. I finally walked in and they pulled my order and told me it would be a few more minutes. The curbside pick up option here is very confusing and they do not give you any directions or assistance and how to pick up your product. To be honest with you, I didn't really make a big deal of it, because I was not feeling good, and I was sitting here catching a break while on my heated seats, nursing my back injury. If you're looking for a fair price, and a good quality of ceramic, porcelain, or Marvel, this place has that. Do not expect customer service though. I personally prefer lumber liquidators for any vinyl or plank, flooring, or hardwood flooring. They are much smaller, but don't let their options. Cool you and their customer service is five stars compared to what you get here Zero. Lastly, I recommend coming here in person versus looking online. There have been numerous times where I have been here in the product. In-store are not shown on the website and do not come up. So if you're looking on the website, you will not see everything. After we picked out the tile he spent a considerable amount of time helping us choose the best grout color for the job. He was patient, friendly, and pretty funny! He made sure we got all of the products we needed to successfully complete the job and even helped make sure it got home safely! The store itself is clean, organized, and full of reasonably priced tile in all styles. The prices are clearly marked and they sell by the piece so any left over tile can be returned! Walking in I couldn't wait to see what this massive place had in store. OMG this is the holy grail of flooring and tiles! Having had owned a flooring store myself, it was bittersweet walking in and comparing all the brands and pricing. I can only speak for the flooring; they have a budget for everyone, with the more expensive items in the front of the store and the less expensive towards the back. There's also a clearance area up front towards the left when you walk in. There's flooring, tiles, sinks, bathtubs and more. This store is amazing. The only downside was there was no one available to help or walking around to ask. As a result, I left. Upon leaving there was a young lady standing by the door to say goodbye. DO NOT COME HERE FOR BUSINESS. THEIR DELIVERY FEE IS GRUESOME AND DO NOT MAKE THEIR CUSTOMERS AWARE OF THE INSANE CHARGES. My parents both speak little to no english and came here to purchase some tiles. The tiles that we ordered were delivered to our house by the company, we as a family decided that we were not going to install the new tiles anymore and loaded them back up in the car to return back to the store, needless to say none of the boxes were ever opened, touched or broken. All products delivered to our residence were in their boxes in the same condition they were brought to us. While awaiting the refund, my parents were told they were not not going to receive $352.80 of their money back because that was just the delivery fee. I looked back at the first receipt and was completely shocked that my parents who speak no english were unaware that they just paid $1082.00 for tiles and delivery. We live approx. 5 miles from this company. The fact that they charge that much and refuse to return it is absolutely absurd and disgusting behavior. Horrible business and disgusting fees. read more

Have shopped here several times . Best thing is wide selection. For most part staff is not customer centric - just going through the motions but clearly bored . Most of staff is patronizing, condescending. I went to pick up a $2300 order and staff insisted on lecturing me that I didn't have right type of vehicle . I had modified the interior of my van to safely transport 3 countertops . I brought two of my own workers to assist. After two hour wait with many other customers being served before us - a chubby little older guy came storming out of the bowels of the warehouse and told me angrily "we're gonna drop those slabs on the floor right here and you can load them and they will all break on your way home . This was the first I ever saw this guy . So, we loaded my van, drove back to east Detroit and offloaded, everything intact. This is a newer store and clearly the manager has a big job to do . I spent 40 YEARS in retail management and customer service at this store is like a Saturday Night Live skit. And.......the store is amazingly overstaffed! Also, see if you can find a cashier who can smile , make nice and not work in a robotic manner . I had same cashier on all my visits. read more

I just spent a good 20 minutes or so with a shopping cart and my countertop sample, walking around the store and not one employee asked me if I needed any assistance. Very big, I guess it's like a warehouse operation or you just have to pull it off the shelf yourself and then they will ring you up. It's funny, plenty of counter people but just not many people walking through the store asking if anyone needs help. read more

We went in and asked the manager to find out if we could exchange our tile they said yes, so we loaded our tile into our truck with a skid steer, and when we got there, they told us we were unable to exchange it. This place has a ton of flooring options. What is doesn't have us anyone working that can help you. If you want a contractor they are roaming around in the store but finding a actual employee is rough. I asked several time for help and no one came. I finally managed too find someone and they couldn't answer my question. I loaded up my flooring but I needed to order/find a special piece. I was told that I had to order online and I couldn't order from the store. Seems odd but ok, I try to find it by the sku number that I was given and it said no sku found. Well I eventually found it. Now the store told me about 28 days for it to ship online said 5-10. I got to checkout and shipping a single piece of molding to my house is $185(keep in mind the actual product cost $27.99) ship to the store is $177. Now I understand why they didn't want to ordeer it at the store. This place is such a joke. I will be returning the flooring that I purchased. read more

Carefully asking all the proper question; do you have quarter round to match? Do you have stair nose to match? Are these items in stock? If not in stock can they be ordered? Only to go back and they have nothing to match the flooring!!‍‍‍‍ My contractor has already put the flooring down so I can't return it. Not to mention one of the boxes of flooring didn't match. I will never use this company for anything EVER again. I'm really upset because I have no trim around the base of my walls and I have no stair nose to blend my basement stairs with my kitchen floor and I'm out of $1800 during a pandemic. In December a week before Christmas 2020 I purchased a bamboo flooring . The flooring was installed by a company by the name of complete hardwood flooring LLC. A complete installation of the first level of my home costing me a total of $9,000. My housekeeper noticed my floor was bowing and separating after (3)weeks of being installed. After contacting Floor & Decor I was informed to contact their Customer Care person Ms. Amanda as this matter couldn't be handle from the store level. I hired an outside inspector to evaluate the floor for a neutral inspection. I contacted the Floor & Decor Customer Care department again asking them to send someone out to reinspect the flooring and they didn't send anyone to review my flooring and complaint but instead made a determination that it was moisture damage with sight unseen. The Independent flooring specialist used a moisture meter and based upon their moisture tools determined there was no moisture in the product he checked several places in various rooms. I talked to Amanda Cochran their Customer Care Representative via email she ruled moisture damage and has not returned any of my emails and has since stop answering them and continues to send my phone calls to voicemail I've left messages and has gotten no call back. I've sent pictures of the damage and the installation of the floor. I've gotten no cooperation from anyone from this store and since then I've had the floor replaced. Why should I have to make this a legal matter when all I asked is for someone to work with me to resolve this matter. This flooring is still under 90/Day Warranty even 6Month Warranty at time of this writing. There was no problem taking my money. I'd like resolution before this has to go further so my review of this company is a BLATANT HANDS DOWN AND LACK OF FOLL THROUGH SINCERELY DISTURBED Deshaun Willingham yes I am angry and disappointed. read more
