My wife and I bought a new bedroom suite on 11/23/15 we paid $3,700. We paid the extra ($182.95) for delivery and set up. They delivered the furniture the set day we had scheduled. The delivery guy was very rude...He was arguing with us because he did not want to bring our furniture in because we had just painted the walls a week ago. We had to have him call his supervisor so they would release delivery....Was kind of strange like they knew they would run into the wall. We had to sign a waiver in order to get our delivery we paid for. The day of delivery we found that the legs on the dresser were put on backwards. We tried to move the dresser down an inch and the leg broke off. The company tried to act like it was our fault. They tried to just replace the legs, but we would not accept this...We finally had then agree to send a new dresser after going to the store and having them call customer care and get a manager. The second deliver was completed about a week after the original deliver of 12/10...The dresser arrived and the legs on this one appeared to be installed correctly. After the delivery guys left we started pulling out draws and cleaning (Yes a brand new dresser had to be cleaned out) them out to get ready to unpack our cloths. We opened the right side of the dresser and the draws just fell apart....The three draws were never installed to the guilder with screws. We also found cracks on face of dresser. By this point we were very upset and decided that we had bought CRAP for furniture....We immediately went to the store that night and requested a refund. They told us they could not do anything and told us we would have to call Customer Care (Which is not much help)...My wife got in touch with a manager the next day....Who was very rude to my wife and basically told her it was our fault for accepting damaged furniture from their driver! The manager stated they would not give us a refund because their policy is you can only get a refund 48 hours after purchase, which we didn't even have the furniture by them. We got nothing accomplished with this manager.... I finally sent an email to customer care...Got a lady named Kris. Kris was probably the best person we dealt with, but still she works for a crummy company so she couldn't help much. She finally agreed to give us our delivery fee back. She was also able to get a new dresser (OUR 3RD ONE) out to us within 48 hours. It was then delivered with a large dent in the handle of one of the draws. We went ahead and accepted the furniture....They mailed us a new handle, which we should not of had to deal with our self. A few weeks later the chest that we bought broke. The glider on the top draw just fell apart. All of the screws fell out...We requested a new chest be delivered, but they would not do that. At this time we inspected all of the other furniture. We then found one of the gliders on the dresser only had one screw when it should have had three screws. My questions to the company was...WHO PUTS THIS JUNK YOU CALL FURNITURE TOGETHER? Never got a response. We requested a new chest be sent since the glider just fell apart (obviously there are more problem). They would not agree to replace it and wanted to send out a tech...We agreed since that is all they would do. The tech came out added screws to the dresser and re-installed the glider on the chest. Now the top draw of the chest will not close evenly. The top left sticks out about 1/2 an inch. We also had the tech look at some areas on the bed rails of the 4 poster bed....There are several rough marks on the smooth metal rails. The tech told us they were manufacturing defects and would have to be replaced. He did not have replacement parts to replace them and told us we would have to follow up with customer care. So we followed back up with Kris at customer care....We requested a new chest since the one that was repaired still was not fixed properly...We also requested new bed rails due to manufacturing defects. We also ask for an additional discount due to all the problems we had. They basically told us no they were done with exchanges and they had already discounted us the delivery fee. They did state they would mail us a new draw for the chest....And the bed rails was normal (Not sure how manufacturing defects are normal). Bottom line it is almost two months since we purchased the furniture....And we are still having to deal with Ashley to try and get our problems resolved. I would stay AWAY from any Ashley furniture store because they sale over priced JUNK they like to furniture. I will be surprised if this stuff last us a year. Once we get all our problems corrected we will likely try to get rid of this furniture (SINCE THEY REFUSE TO GIVE US A REFUND) and buy some that is not complete CRAP. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Read the reviews carefully. There are two parts to this company: (1) the showroom/ sales people who take the money and (2) the factory/delivery/warehouse who make and deliver the furniture. The showroom may be clean, nice, friendly, but once they have your money, you are done dealing with that part of the company. Once they have your money, you'll have to deal with the second part of the company, which is awful. Your furniture will not come on time. We rescheduled delivery 3 times with no explanation and no honesty. Each person we talked to gave a different answer, a different excuse, and a different date of delivery. They are clearly just making stuff up. If you get your furniture it will probably be damaged according to the reviews, and you'll have to fix it yourself, return it, or get sent to the back of the line to wait another month. Nothing is worse than fighting to get furniture and when it finally arrives, its damaged. See past the nice showroom and friendly salespeople. This is just a horrible company to work with all around. Never do business with them. Notice also how most of the positive reviews are either (a) clearly fake or (b) people who have only experienced the first part of the company. Edit 7/26/16: I emailed the Ashley person who responded to this review. I will update when or if he or she responds. So far, just silence.... Still no sign of my furniture or the money I gave them. Edit: 8/2/16: Finally got my couch. Finally... over a month after purchase and over 2 weeks after the promised delivery date. Delivery people were nice, but they were subcontractors. Edit: 9/8/16: Furniture finally arrived last month. They promised to refund half my delivery fee by "middle of August". It's September now, no check. I called them. They hung up on me the first time. I should have read others reviews first maybe I wouldn't be in the predicament I'm in. But here it goes. First off kudos the sales person Mrs Hollis she was real professional and very knowledgeable about mattresses. I have no problems with her. But I feel neglected by the store as a whole because of the delivery guys. Purchasing an adjustable bed is nothing to sneeze at and to pay such an exorbitant amount for something you expect quality service. Well not so much. The guys put in twin size bases for my king size mattress with programmable remotes which each control 1 base. The remote on the showroom floor operated both bases simultaneously. Well these delivery guys asked me only if I wanted 1 or 2 remotes. Of course the more the better, right. But what he fails to tell me is that the remotes weren't synced to operate the bases together. So as we go to bed last night we discover the mattress bases don't work together. So I call Ashley today and I'm told they aren't coming back to to do this and to call the manufacturer. Run away! Do not spend your money here! I recently purchased an entire bedroom set from the Ashley furniture home store in Pearland. The furniture was delivered this past Monday, 1/25/2016. The delivery drivers arrived late, as usual, so were in a rush to deliver my furniture and get to their next stop. The furniture was moved into my house and after checking for obvious major defects, the delivery was excepted by my mother. I returned home late that evening and because I am remodeling my bedroom, the light fixture had been removed and I was only able to see the furniture by lamplight. The following day, in the light of day, I did a detailed inspection of the furniture. During this inspection, I noticed that there were several places on the brand-new furniture just delivered 18 hours before, where the finish on the not solid wood furniture was flaking off. I called the store in Perelian where I had purchased the furniture, and the option to choose to customer service send me to a one 800-number. I spoke to a person on the phone that seemed very friendly and helpful and willing to help me resolve my issue. I sent her a detailed email with pictures of every item that was damaged. I even followed up to make sure that she had received the pictures. The following day, after I had not gotten a response, I emailed the same representative again. She then responded to me that she had sent me an email the day prior but it was sent back to her undeliverable. She also assured me that she was working on my issue but that she needed 48 hours to find a solution. I emailed again on Thursday afternoon with no response. I emailed again Friday morning with no response. Friday afternoon I drove down to the Ashley home store where I had purchased this bedroom set. I was greeted at the store by a salesman that was all too happy to help me spend more of my money in their store. However I told him I had an issue and I was directed to the customer service manager at the back of the store. Upon explaining my issue to the customer service manager, which I use this title lightly, she picked up the phone and call the one 800 number that I had previously spoken with. She inform them of the issue that I had just inform them of and was told to send the email again to a new representative. After about 30 minutes of going back-and-forth on the phone with a Nother customer service representative who was unable to receive my emails, we sat on the phone three-way explaining the pictures that I had sent in the email that already had an explanation attached with them. After all this, the lady from customer service told me that she had discussed it with the manager and my only option was to have a technician come to the store and see if they could make the furniture showroom ready again. After arguing the point to her that it was brand-new furniture, she proceeded to tell me that because I excepted the furniture into my home and did not refuse delivery, that it was my fault for excepting the damaged furniture and that I should have refused it. I explained to her how some of the issues did not become apparent until the following day, and she said that basically that was irrelevant. That I should have given the furniture a detailed inspection before the delivery drivers left. She also told me that this was documented in the paperwork that I signed when I purchased the furniture originally from the Ashley furniture home store in Pearland. So after this pointless discussion, I am politely excuse from the phone as there is nothing else she can do for me until the technician comes out. When I get off the phone, I speak to the so called customer service manager and ask her is there anything that they can do on the store level. She proceeds to tell me that there is nothing they can do from the store level that it all has to go through corporate. So the point of this long rattled review is be careful about spending your money at Ashley home furniture, any location! Your local Ashley furniture home store location is more than happy to help sell you furniture, but when corporate Ashley home furniture delivers defective and or poor quality furniture, they are unwilling to help resolve the issue. A simple "we apologize you received damage furniture. We will be happy to replace it for you" was all I was hoping for. But apparently that will not be the case. And as I have done more research online, I am finding that this practice is very common with Ashley furniture. Not only in Pearland or Texas, but all over the country. Run! Don't walk! DON'T SPEND A CENT IN THIS STORE!!!!!! I wish I could give negative stars to this store. That one star is WAY too generous! I went to the store and purchased a sectional and rug which I saw and absolutely loved on 5/14/2019. My sectional was to be delivered on Monday. I stated Monday at least 3 times to the salesman. It got delivered on that Friday which was fine because my son was home. The rug was supposed to be delivered on June 21 and that's where everything went WRONG! I got the rug on May 24th. Again my son was home and signed for it. I got home and discovered the rug was NOT the one I paid for. Completely WRONG color. I called the store, no answer, left message with my CORRECT phone number. No return call. Called sales rep and left a voicemail. No return call. Went to the store and a rep in the back asked me to show her the rug. I showed her the one I paid for and then a picture of the one that was delivered to my home. She used my phone to text the picture to herself and I still have that text, then she copied my paperwork. The next day I got a call from the sales rep who advised me he had been trying to contact me but had the wrong number which is partly true. The number on my paperwork was off by 1 digit, but when I called his cell phone as well as the store I left my correct phone number. Regardless, there have been calls gong back and forth about getting me the correct rug. At no point did any Ashley rep offer me a refund, or offer to discount the one on display in the store to resolve my issue. Honestly, I really just wanted the rug I paid for in the correct color. They just kept saying the sku was correct and they were looking into it. It's been a month and I was over it. I called the store and spoke to the sales rep who advised me that he thought it had been resolved. He said he would call me back. I went to the bathroom and came back to see I missed his call. I called back 2 minutes later and no answer. I called the store and they said he was with a customer. I left a message. No call back. I called about 4 more times over a 3 hour period, no answer on his phone nor the store phone. I called customer service and even they could not get through to the store. I went to the store spoke to some manager who stated it was his first time hearing of it when the sales rep told him about it earlier that day. He advised that there were 2 or 3 other managers. At that point I just requested a refund because after a month I am tired of hearing about a sku number and that they are looking into it! That story is getting old. The manager advised I would have to bring the rug that was delivered back!!!! Horrible inconvenience because if I was able to haul a big rug and furniture I would not have had it delivered! Regardless I told him I would Bring it that night! He said no I would need to wait til he requested approval to refund my money and then he would call me to bring it back and that would be another 48 hours! This store and it's associates are full of CRAP!!!!!!! As I was leaving a couple asked me about my issue. I was telling them and the manager proceeded to interrupt and start arguing with me in front of them. Saying he just found out about it and he had been on vacation and he was working on it. Just FYI when someone has paid for something they don't wanna hear your excuses. It doesn't matter! Then he asked me to leave which was fine because I was on the way out when the couple asked me what had happened. I basically told them get furniture somewhere else. He threatened to call security so I advised him to go right ahead. At that point the couple that stopped me walked out of the store with me because they were disgusted by the managers threat to call security on me when I was a paying customer there to resolve an issue which is still unresolved. All I have is a rug that is the wrong color and a lot of empty promises, and lame excuses. This store sucks! Don't give them your money! Unfair sales practices. We purchased a bed frame and was told the last piece would come within 3-4 weeks. When checking the status of the piece, we found out that it wouldn't arrive for another 2 months. Without this headboard piece, we can't fully assemble the bed. Also, the footboard that was delivered was not the correct item we selected in the store. The crazy part? There is no way for us to verify that the salesman entered the wrong product to your our order. The receipt does not include images, just an item number. How are we supposed to verify the correct item number on the receipt if we can't compare it to the one we selected in store? Customer service is a nightmare, because all they do is tell you to take it up with the store. Yet another setback is that the store doesn't answer the phones. So the burden is on us to physically take the item back to the store and hope for the best. Because apparently the store does not exchange or return items either. I've read the reviews on this place but I have to say that I had a good shopping experience with them. The furniture is pretty and I never felt too pressured to buy anything. I did end up buying a couch that has not been delivered yet. As long as it comes in perfect condition, I will be satisfied with the whole Ashley experience. I did end up buying warranty on my couch because I have read many reviews that complain that the furniture falls to pieces quickly. Hope this isn't the case. I really like the couch. read more

Very long story short.....I found the perfect dining table and the sales person was great but that's it! The rest was a nightmare!! 1month later of purchase, still no dining set. 3 days on the phone with complete run a rounds. Not willing to just let me get my money back. Trying desperately to keep their sale. No guarantees of delivery and making us take off work for their 3 hour window 4 times to get the complete set. Their idea of customer comes first is crap! My husband and I purchased a couple thousand dollars' worth of furniture and accessories from Ashley Furniture located in Pearland Texas in July of 2019. We wanted assurance that our investment would be protected in the invented of an accident, so we purchased the extended furniture warranty offered by the Ashley sales representative for an additional fee. The first week of September (2019), we had an overnight guest at our home and a young child urinated on our newly purchased sofa. I immediately phoned the Ashley Furniture store in Pearland, TX to report the incident and file a claim. At that time, I was informed that I needed to contact a company called GBS to proceed with filing the claim. Per the instructions provided, I phoned GBS to file the claim. I spoke with a claim's representative (by the name of Athena) that documented my claim and provided me with the following claim number #344702 to send a company my home to clean the sofa. After three weeks of no shows from the cleaning company, we called GBS again to report the issue and request that GBS either send a different company or send new sofa cushions. Athena said that she would try sending the company again, however, once again the cleaning company no showed. We reported the no shows to GBS and spoke with a GBS representative named Tina. By this time, we were in October. Given the cleaning company no shows, time lapse, and saturation of urine, Paula (a claims manager at GBS) told us that she would honor our request to authorize the replacement of the sofa covers and cushions. However, she could not give us a timeline on when would receive them because they were coming from Ashley's warehouse. Two weeks later we received the sofa cushion covers but not the cushions. When we called GBS Shana told us that sofa cushions are not covered. We explained that Paula authorized both the covers and cushions, but Tina apologized and said that Sarah (another GBS manager) cancelled the order. Desperate to resolve this issue, I called the Ashley Furniture - Pearland, TX store and explained what happened to the store manager (Donvonte). Donvonte called the Ashley Furniture corporate warranty line on conference call. Donvonte asked me to explain what happened while he was on the call. Given my experience with GBS the Ashley warranty representative agreed to cover the damages to my sofa. I was even provided with a parts and service order number. However, when I called to follow-up on a tracking number for shipping my husband and I were told that the order was cancelled by Samantha and Ashley furniture will not cover the damages. The salesroom experience was great. No pushy salesman. We bought a living room suit. Out of the three recliners, one was broken on delivery. The electric recline was stripped out. They scheduled to send us a salesmen in a few weeks. Before they could arrive, the second recliner began to click and sound as if it were stripping. They repaired both. Another two months arrived and the first one stripped again. They come after about four weeks and repaired it. Another few months rolled by and the second recliner is now clicking. We bought the extended warranty but had no expectations of using it this often. We will stay away from their furniture from this point forward. The third recliner has not broken, but it is manual, not electric, perhaps the mechanical holds up better. read more

The quality of the furniture is poor but the prices are cheap. I guess you get what you pay for. The biggest problem I had with them is getting partial deliveries. I bought a dining table and chairs. . The table arrived on time with only two chairs. The delivery was suppose to be with 6 chairs. The customer service dept. said they would be delivered with the shipment of the two additional arm chairs I was expecting the following week. We called back to confirm the delivery and they said everything was going to be shipped together and not to worry ( we needed them for thanksgiving) . When the delivery truck arrived. they only had the 4 additional chairs they missed the previous time and not the arm chairs that were originally scheduled . My sister bought a matress set at this store. First, she put it on layaway and when she went to pay it off, they bait-and-switched her to some other model, telling her the original model she'd chosen was "not available" anymore. The "new" model cost her an extra $700. They delivered it and it is HORRIBLE. It is so firm it is like sleeping on a slab of granite. I "slept" (or tried!) on it two nights over Christmas and woke up every few minutes from discomfort and pain. I was miserable each day after trying to sleep on it. After I left, she tried to sleep on it and it hurt her back too. She cannot sleep on it at all and has resorted to sleeping in her guest bedroom. Even though the matress is very old, it does not hurt her like this one Ashley Furniture pushed off on her. It has been slept on a grand total of four nights and they FLAT OUT REFUSED to change it out or otherwise remedy the situation. We have tried calling their national number and they were also unhelpful. "Frank", her salesman, was also rude, unprofessional, and extremely discourteous and uncaring about this problem. The store cited "health" reasons for not accepting the return for a model that is not painful...which is ironic because forcing my sister to keep this bed is CAUSING HER A HEALTH PROBLEM IN THE FORM OF BACK PAIN / INJURY!!! I also think that is just an excuse they pull so they don't have to help people. Most REPUTABLE stores offer a return policy on matresses of AT LEAST 30 days. They also tried to say it needs to be "broken in" for it to be comfortable. NO MATRESS should require DISCOMFORT in order to be comfortable "later". I have bought several matresses in my lifetime and every single time, the matress was as nice and comfortable from the very first day I got it as it was in the store that was supposedly "broken in". This "has to be broken in" thing is a flat out LIE on their part. I have NEVER heard that from any other store...ever! I am extremely disappointed that they do not have the honor and integrity to do the right thing...that they are more concerned about a few bucks in their pocket than my sister's health. That makes me extremely angry. In any case, I will NEVER darken their doorstep again for the rest of my life. My fault for not double checking but I went over all of the items I wanted with the sales person and he re-stated all of my items and they were correct!! One thing Ashley does well is lie about delivery dates, but is more than happy to take your money knowing that their initial delivery dates are bs. Ashley is incredibly dishonest about delivery dates so buyer beware! I'm sure William our sales rep knew full well that they didn't have our couch in stock and it would take over a month to deliver but still sold us on shipping in a few days. I purchased a bed from them back June 3rd The bed was delayed several times and the delivery date pushed back to later dates I requested a refund and they told me if my order was split my headboard and footboard would show up 1st and that that would cause the side rails to come in quicker this was a lie to keep me from getting my refund by August 3rd 2 months after the sale I requested a refund they picked up my furniture August the 6th to this date to day which is August the 26 I have not received my refund when I checked back a week ago Ricky the manager there did not do the refund correctly and it was just sitting there that was after the initial so called on matic refund once the furniture was returned was actually sitting there as a credit so here we are almost days away from a month of them returning their merchandise I still have not seen my refund I have had to go to my bank to file a claim and I have also reported them to the Better Business Bureau I understand that cauvet is out there however there is no excuse for this furthermore the manager whose name is Ricky told me after I told her my matches is just sitting on the floor waiting for a bed she told me to go to big lots and by a foundation and rails I can't because I don't have the money for my bed after this experience I will never buy anything from Ashley furniture again I even called the 1 800 number and they told me that they could not help me because they are online they I have to go and deal directly with that particular Ashley furniture store I even asked to speak to the owner and I am still waiting to be contacted by the owner if you want your furniture you better make sure they have it in stock and that you are not being lied to read more

We have been loyal and repeated customers of Ashley Furniture (Sugar land branch) for the last 5 years with a purchase of up to $10,000. November 2017 we bought dining, kids bedroom set and family room set. We were sold Montage Protection Plan for $500 with the advertisement of "worry free" plan. One Saturday in March 2018, we have company over. When they left that evening, I noticed that part of our wood dining table that got wet had swell up (Not even 4 hours long that we have people over). Per protocol, I notified Montage and Ashley (since it is still less than a year) the next day sending explanation and pictures. A week has passed and I didn't hear from either company. I called Montage and said that they do not cover "water damage" and advised me to call Ashley since my 1 year warranty is still active. I called Ashley and after a 2 weeks, they send someone to look at the table and advised me to call Montage because it is not a manufacturing defect and that my Montage Protection Plan should cover it. So I did again and was told the same thing - in summary, both companies didn't take ownership of my concerns, nobody was willing to help me. Is that the treatment I deserved for being a loyal customer??? and having a furniture not even 6 months old. I called Ashley Customer Service and requested to speak to the manager to let them know that the sales people need to know what Montage protection plan exactly covers since we were told repeated times that whatever happens to the furniture that Montage will take care of it-after all it says "WORRY FREE" plan. If you are thinking about shopping here please don't. I wish someone would have stopped me. The customer service sucks, management and corporate is even worse. After their mistake and incompetence they basically said to me "well, that $2600 sectional is final sale as is." I feel so violated. Would not suggest shopping at this store anytime soon! I have NOT received furniture since my order date in June. The disclaimer at the top of the page is very deceiving and it will take months for you to get your furniture. The sales store takes total blame off themselves and blames it on the warehouse. They will give you a date to make their commission but that will not be the date that it will be delivered. They will also deliver your order in pieces. I ordered a dining table, 4 chairs, and a bench and only received the 4 chairs. A month later received the bench, and I am still waiting (3 months later) for the dining table. I have went to the store talked to managers and sales reps and they all say it is out of their hands. When I ask to get the table from the showroom floor their come back is they have to sell it as a whole set and not just the table. HOWEVER they are willing to deliver it in pieces. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would not recommend getting any furniture during the upcoming sales because honestly they will not be able to deliver their promises. Now the positive of the furniture store is that the furniture we do have (I had to take my living room set off the showroom floor, thank God that was a whole set that did not get delivered) is good quality. They also do not bill you until they deliver the furniture. You just have to ask yourself are you willing to wait 3 months are longer. read more

I must have gotten the perfect salesman. Carl casual greeted us, told us about their specials, then told us to take a look around and he would check in with us periodically. At the right time he comes over to inform us about a sectional that can be mirrored if that didn't work. Perfect approach, especially since we had no idea what we were looking for. We have not decided but will most likely buy the one right before the kids section. Hopefully we'll get a good deal. read more

Very long post as we had many awful experiences with this company in less than the 6 months we have owned our furniture. VERY Disappointed!!!! I should have read more reviews before purchasing. I see this company has a poor rating and I now understand why. First we did start with a positive experience with Ashley Furniture. Our sales associate was super helpful, but we have come to find out not very informed on warranties (which I do not hold him accountable as numerous associates I have talked to were unaware as well.) My husband and I went shopping for a complete new living room set and spare bedroom set. We picked out the items we liked and started the check out process. We were asked if we would like the extended warranty for $450 which included scratches, punchers, and any other accidental damage. We have two dogs and a baby on the way, so we thought this was the perfect addition to our new couches. Life happens. Items were delivered when scheduled, however ALL bolts to the spare bedroom were stripped when installed. I mentioned to our sales associate that we were in the process of buying a new house and that's what we were buying the furniture for. We mentioned we still wanted it delivered to the old house because we had to keep it show ready at all times. and didn't want to have a house bare with no furniture. Both houses closed and it came time to move.... that is when we noticed the spare bedroom was poorly installed. When I called customer service they were completely useless and made me send pictures of the bolts. This was done and we never heard anything back. We had to move the bed, so we had to cut off the original hardware and buy new ones. Once in the new house, we had some friends over. A friend of ours sat on the couch with a pocket knife in his back pocket without knowing. One cushion of our couch is very very scratched. I called the Pearland location to look into getting it fixed. They started processing my claim and told me that my one year manufacturing warranty was voided due to my move.... I was never informed of this one year warranty. If I would have known, I would have NEVER had to furniture delivered to the old house when I knew I would be moving it in less than 3 weeks. At this point I am not too upset as I have the extended warranty to fall back on. When on the phone with this company she informs me that they only cover accidental punchers to the couch. Of course I had already explained that these were just accidental scratches I would like fixed, when she reminded me all calls are recorded and that I could not call back in a few days with a different story. I told her that when the warranty was sold to me it was said that it covered "scratches, punchers, and any other accidental damage." She then in a light heartedness said "oh yes ma'am, we have been fussing at the sales associates to make sure they fully sale the warranty correctly." Basically I felt that she found the whole situation funny and you could care she didn't care at all to help. It was my fault that I was told the warranty covered more than it actually did. I let a few days pass and called back to the Ashley store I bought the furniture from. I explained the whole run down (even the move) to the associate and asked for help. Told her I was highly disappointed with the overall customer service and how I was treated as a customer. She told me to hold as as she was confused to why the one year manufacturing warranty was not going to help fix my cushion. She came back on and confessed to me that yes it is voided after one year and she had no idea about this. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! She openly admitted that she has worked for the company for over 2 years and didn't know about this!!!! WOW!!!! Talk about poor employee training!!! This is why I stated above that I am not mad at the sales associate, poor guy he was probably not properly trained as well. She gave me the number to the corporate office to search for guidance as what to do. I scheduled an appointment for $30 to have someone come look at my couch cushion and give me a quote for how much it will cost to fix/replace it. I will have to pay for these costs out of my own pocket. We received a phone call today of the expected arrival time for our technician on Wednesday.... Of course he had the old address. So my husband called to figure what exactly our $30 paid for when they hadn't even updated our address to the correct one. I will be happy to update this once we have completely resolved all issues with Ashley. Hopefully I can help one person not shop there to save them this frustration and hassle!! I had high hopes of furnishing our whole new house with furniture with them, but so far they are not proving to be loyal to their customers. So at this moment, I will never spend another penny with this company, and I wouldn't even recommend the store to my worse enemy. read more

Do not shop here maybe try another Ashley but not the one in Pearland. I have been given the run around for months now by Beto and the new store manager. It's a shame I have to spend money taking legal action when they could have simply repaired my couch. It was drama from the start. I ordered a couch, loveseat and mattress. When they arrived delivery drivers damaged the loveseat so that had to be returned. Then the delivery driver struggled getting my couch to my apartment and one of the delivery guys just left the other guy and quit on us. So I was sold on the extra warranty protection for my furniture. Well a tear came in my couch a year later and so I tried to get it fixed. Warranty people said it wasn't covered. I'm like how is a tear not covered? And if it wasn't why didn't Beto the Sales guy convince me to get it. Well I went up there to speak with him and the new Store manager who did put in a request to have it fixed by warranty company. Well fast forward it has been 3 months and nothing has been done and now when I called him out on their horrible customer service I have gotten no response. I will not EVER shop with them again. Especially since I'm a General Manger and I know when I need to get a customer taken care of it does not take 3 months and even if it did, I follow up every week to give them a status update. It's too many other furniture companies better than Ashley. Not to mention when I was getting food the other day I was in the lobby talking to a customer and she was fussing about the same Ashley store in Pearland, Shame!!! read more

I have been trying to give this location a chance, but customer service is extremely poor. Each time I've walked in everyone is sitting down, or just looks at you without a "welcome" or "let us know if you need anything" blurb. One representative was doing her nails at one of the tables and good luck with getting in contact with anyone on the phone. Applied for financing, told the representative which card I wanted, was sent all 3 credit cards that I qualified for in the mail a few weeks later, which are now unwanted furniture credit cards on my report. I've tried to contact the store, but each time the phone rings for long periods of time and someone either hangs up or the voicemail is full. I have received one portion of my order but do not want to give this company any more of my money. I have been trying to cancel the remainder of my order, was informed it would be looked into the next day, did not receive correspondence. I sent another text message to the representative about the cancellation of my order or which credit card my order is on- no answer. Better Business Bureau and corporate will be contacted. read more

Saturday we sit and wait for our Furniture to be exchanged/delivered again because the first delivery was wrong, when they finally show up they tell me they can't exchange it because they see cat hair on it?? WTF? They told us "Please live on the Furniture until we can exchange it for you, it was our mistake, please enjoy it." Lies!!! And when speaking to customer service they basically tell me to bad, if you have it cleaned we will exchange it for you. Seriously?? My cat didn't murder another cat on the couch!! And then the delivery person tells me "I'm sorry, this happens all the time" Really!?!Needless to say I'm not happy and I made sure that they knew it! And we still don't have the right Furniture! I absolutely will NEVER purchase anything from Ashley Furniture again!!! Today I received a text message telling me that my Furniture will be delivered tomorrow between 12:30 and 3:30. So I guess I'm supposed to miss another day of work because of Ashley Furniture's screw up, and extremely poor customer service! I don't think so!!! Someone needs to fix this now! Update from this morning... Brandy at the Pearland location Rocks!! She went above and beyond to make sure we were takin care of today. If it wasn't for her the Furniture we have would have ended up in the parking lot of the store. Take note Ashley Corporate Office, you have an amazing employee with Outstanding customer service! We started off with a good experience with Gary & Will in the Pearland store trying to make a deal work for us. We purchased several pieces of their furniture, unfortunately they have yet to resolve our issue with what they even admit is a store error. After 2 months now, we are still stuck with 2 twin box springs for a mattress we don't need. Gary sold us box springs for a king mattress when we have a platform bed & need bunky boards instead! They haven't returned any calls when they said they will get this resolved. We have even gone back to the store and they say they will take care of this, not How much time do they need? This is one of the worst customer service I have experienced and are quick to take your money but won't refund what is owed to you! I am going to report this to the Better Business Bureau and will NEVER buy this less than quality furniture! So disappointed. read more

This place is a joke. The service was incredibly bad. We were greeted by a guy named Ken. Then after we knew all we asked to look around. At this point were were happy looking for a sofa. Suddenly a person named Clint is barging in on us. Telling us he can take care of us better than Ken could, and that he has more athority to give us a better discount. What kind of a game is this? We then see Ken looking at us from a distance. At first we thought he sent this guy over. When we finally got him to leave, which we had to ask him to leave us multiple times. Even telling him over and over we already had a salesman. Finally we asked to talk to a manager and he said he would go see if Ken was available. Ken came back over. We asked about the other person, he said he was just checking on us. Then when Ken walked to let us look, this man came back again. This time saying he was the one that had to take care of us. We told him were were working with Ken again, and he then said Ken was busy and couldn't bothered so he was there to help us. This said, we left and will not return to this store. This man just has the vibe of a thief. I feel sorry for Ken for having to work with such a slime ball. Anyone who reads this, if you have to go to Ashley Furniture in Pearland, if a guy named Clint greets you, just walk away. Find someone else, trust me. I've already filled a complaint with Pearland City Hall, the better business bureau and now Google and Yelp. read more
