Made a purchase at Ashley's Furniture on 03/24/2019 and set up delivery for 03/27/2019 to My Mothers house, Called her on the afternoon of the 27th so congratulate her on the new furniture to find her upset and intimidated by the Ashley's delivery team?! The delivery guys tried to deliver damaged furniture, 4 peaces were damaged to be exact all badly scratched or badly repaid so she asked them to take the furniture back, The delivery team told her that they can send a repair team to fix the damages she told them that the damages were bad and she wouldn't be happy so take them back, Then the delivery guy got loud slamming his hand on the table saying he doesn't want to take them back because he would have to rearrange the furniture in his truck for the rest of the delivery's!!! So that would make his job harder?! Please help me understand this Ashley's, She paid for new furniture and delivery without damages, Why is it OK to deliver damaged goods and offer repair? The delivery team is the face of Ashley's at peoples houses in their private space, Why would your delivery guy even for one second thinks he has the right to get loud? Slam his hand on the table and intimidate an older lady alone at her house? This is unacceptable and mind boggling, If we can not trust Ashley's delivery team to enter our home I like to ask the management team of the company is this what you stand for? And to top it all My mother gets a call from Ashley's for a possible extra delivery charge because the furniture was damaged not to mention she took a day off work lost business to stay home wait for Ashley's to make the delivery?! Our experience buying our bedroom set was good. Our salesperson Heather was knowledgeable and told us store was under new management and things were much better, after we shared with her our horrible experience previously. We were feeling things had indeed gotten better and then delivery day was approaching. Typical Ashley Delivery. We received texts and calls for 4 straight days telling us to call and confirm delivery date. We did each time. The 4 call said some items were not available and call to to discuss. When I called, they said it looked to them like everything was on the truck we ordered. The day of the delivery they were on time, but they guys they sent could not speak English at all. They showed us the headboard on the bed was broken, but could not understand what they were going to do about it. He tried to explain what was wrong putting together our chests of drawers and finally called someone who explained to me that the screw they sent to put the handles on had no threads. So they asked me is I had any that matched they could use. I could not find any and they told us to go to Home Depot and get some. I asked them to leave and said I would finish putting it together. This has always been the number 1 complaint with this store in Pflugerville. Delivery service is absolutely awful. After they left I walked outside to find pieces of cardboard, Styrofoam, and wood laying in the street where they unboxed stuff. We ended up getting a headboard a week later. This now the second time we have had issued with big purchases and delivery. Think twice about buying here. read more

I wish I would have read all the reviews before making my purchase at Ashley Furniture. We just purchased a brand new house and Ashley could have had a lot of our business for a long time but after my experience, I will not recommend them to anyone. I went in to the Ashley Furniture in Pflugerville on 11/17/2019 to purchase a sectional sofa and an ottoman. Before I purchased it, I explained to the manager that I was closing on a new house on December 2nd and I needed the sofa delivered no later than December 10. I asked him to be honest and tell me if he didn't think they'd be able to accommodate that delivery date because the only way I'd purchase it is if it could be delivered by that date. If the sofa wouldn't be ready, then I'd buy a different one, either from Ashley or a different store. It was a huge priority for me to have this sofa delivered in a timely fashion, otherwise we would have nowhere to sit in the new house. The manager assured me that they would expedite the order and get it delivered by 12/10. He got his "best sales guy" (according to him) to help us place the order to ensure we would get it in time. Based on his reassurances, we purchased the sofa. I didn't hear anything from Ashley Furniture for a couple of weeks so I called the sales rep at the end of November, who again confirmed via text message that we would have the sofa by 12/10. I called Ashley's customer service number on the first week of December and spoke to someone who told me that we would get the sofa part of the sectional on 12/12, the chaise on 12/17 and the ottoman on 12/30. I was very laid back about the delay and accepted those dates even though it was not what I was originally promised. We moved into the new house on 12/9, assuming that we would have a sofa just a couple of days later that week. On 12/11 I got an automated text message asking me to confirm a delivery date but my choices were 12/26, 12/27 and 12/28. I immediately called the phone number provided in the text message and asked the representative if there was any way to expedite any part of the order so that we could have somewhere to sit on Christmas. After putting me on hold, she told me that she was able to schedule the sofa delivery on 12/13 and the chaise would arrive on 12/19. So I took the day off from work on 12/13 and waited but the sofa didn't arrive so I called to confirm a delivery time. The rep I spoke to on 12/13 told me that nothing had been scheduled for delivery yet and that the earliest the sofa could be delivered was 12/18 and the chaise could be delivered on 12/27. This is when I ran out of patience because I've been given the run around and no one from Ashley Furniture has even bothered to call me and confirm all these delays. I've had to find out because I take the initiative to call! My delivery went from 12/10, to 12/12, to 12/13, to 12/18. Well, today is 12/18 and I did not receive any delivery. After my husband emailed the store manager today (12/18), he called to inform me that the sofa is "tentatively" scheduled for delivery on 12/23 and the chaise on 12/27. I don't trust them at this point because I've been given so much misleading information. If they were honest from the beginning and told me there would be this many delays, I would have purchased a different item. I don't have the luxury of waiting 5-6 weeks for this item to be delivered when there are so many other store and furniture options. Ashley Furniture lied to get the sale and they have proceeded to give me the run around. I've been given 5 different delivery dates at this point and they have missed every single one up until now. I'm very frustrated at this point that my family will not have a place to sit for weeks and especially during the holidays in our first home all because of Ashley's dishonest sales and customer service practices. If you want to pay up front for furnature and wait over a month and still not have your items delivered then Ashley Furnature is the store for you. Chris the store manager couldn't care less that our furnature wasn't available as promised. We bought over $3,000.00 of furnature on 5/24/11 and as of today, pieces of the order were still missing. When we went to the store to cancel the order he didn't care. Not willing to do anything to make it right. I even stopped another customer getting ready to pay for her items and asked her if she needed her furnature within 2 months cause even if it is "In Stock" you wont receive it. We're very upset with Ashley furniture right now. We were looking for a new couch for several weeks and we went to many stores. Ashley seemed to have a great selection, helpful and not over bearing sales men, and impressive prices. We were only in the market for a sectional couch, and we ended up getting a couch, a love seat, a coffee table, 2 end tables, and an entertainment center and only going $300 over our original budget. They said the first available delivery date would be on a Thursday and they could not guarantee the time. Since my husband and I both work, we requested they deliver it the following Saturday. When they rang us up, they said "Ok, so we can deliver it on Thursday." We corrected them, no we said we wanted it on Saturday. So they corrected it. Then they called us on Tuesday, and told us they'd be delivering it on Thursday. We corrected them again and said, we'd requested it be delivered on Saturday. They said they we're all booked up on Saturday. So I had to take time off early from work to come home and get the furniture. Then they delivered the wrong table set. My husband wrote down the number that was posted on the table to make sure the salesman got it right, but apparently, the wrong number was posted on the table, because the number matched what my husband had written down, but the furniture did not. So the delivery men called customer service for us, we looked up the right number online, they took the information and told us the sales rep who'd helped us would call us back that day. So he called us back, said that had NEVER happened to him in the 3 years he'd worked there, and that he would get it straitened out. Then he called us back a little while later and said, "oh you wanted THAT table? I thought you said you didn't want that table" even though we'd had a very extensive conversation about those particular tables. So he said again that he'd get it corrected and get them sent out to me as soon as possible. About a week later, I hadn't heard anything, so I called back and they acted like they didn't know anything about it. They said I had a $400 credit sitting there untouched, and they'd be happy to deliver the tables I wanted, but it would cost an extra $250. After arguing with them we eventually hung up and called our sales rep back. He sounded very surprised and told us that he'd passed it on to his manager to take care of because of the price difference. We very firmly stated that there shouldn't be a price difference. The sign that was posted stated that the tables were $499, $489 for the floor model, but 20% off the new because of a special sale. That's what we ordered, that's what we paid for, that's what we wanted. They continued to insist that they could get us those tables for an extra $250, and they couldn't refund the money. So we're going to contest it through other methods. read more

NEVER buy from these clowns. I have no idea how they stay in business with the abject failure of service they "provided". To summarize: I bought an entire bedroom set from them. One of the night stands was broken in a very bad way. Calling in and after MUCH tooth pulling, they agreed to ship a replacement to the local store for me to pickup. On that day I borrowed a truck and was set. NOPE! It didn't make the truck and so it would have to wait another 2 weeks. I wasn't having that so they finally agreed to ship it to my house the next week. Ok. I get off work early and wait. And wait. And wait. 4 minutes before their cutoff time I get a call that the delivery driver lost his keys. Great! And of course I'm told to expect it the next day. So once again I get off work early and wait. This time, 9pm rolls around and nothing. Not even a call. So I'm sitting here, wishing so hard that I never stepped foot in that place. I don't know what the resolution will be. Worst customer service policies I have ever experienced. I purchased a mattress based on the floor room model and what I received was completely different. We purchased a plush bed, but we received a bed that is as hard as a table. Three days later, we went back to the store to find out the policy does not to accept returns or provide credit towards a satisfactory mattress. Additionally, we tried the floor model once again and found it very comfortable, unlike the bed we received. I recommend going to a mattress store that guarantees satisfaction. read more

You've been warned!!! Quick Run Down: 03/22/12; looked at a sectional with coffee table set-sign priced set as $1799 for the ENTIRE set. 03/23/12; went back to purchase set. Talked to a sales man who started "writing our ticket up" he realized the coffee tables displayed in the set were not the right ones and were "way too much more" to honor the signage of the store. After discussing this with the store manager, she stated it was a mistake is signs and due to the price difference could not honor the price she offered 10% off (which was what the current sale on the furniture). At this point we should have left. RAN....but the sectional was what we needed and fit our budget. We purchased the sectional only for $1875. Our delivery date was set for 04/02/12. 04/01/12; we sold our current furniture on craigslist to make room... 04/02/12; we received a message that the "corner" of the sectional was not in and would have to reschedule delivery for 04/10/12. UGH we had NO furniture! 04/10/12; our furniture arrived. I was alone with my children at the house and two men showed up to delivery the sectional. I watched from the window as they "threw" yes...THREW, the love seat part of the sectional off the truck. Then one of the men, took an exacto knife and started cutting off the wrapping. He then pointed at something, started laughing, and asked his partner to come and see it. At that point I walked out to see what was funny. They quickly picked the love seat up and carried it in oddly with the back of the love seat facing down. They set it up against the wall and I asked for them to pull it away from the wall because its a recliner. When they did, I walked behind and found a HUGE cut in the back. I questioned the man if that is why they were laughing and he said no, and pointed to a stain on the back...LOVELY. I was alone, not knowing what to do. They brought in the couch (that has a massage chair in both sides). When they plugged it in he said it was working. I asked him to look again because no lights came on the controls. It DIDN'T"T work. He called customer service and they advised me that they would have a tech come out and see if they could repair the furniture or schedule me to get a new set. I agreed to this only because we did not have current Furniture to use while we waited... 04/18/12: tech comes and could not repair or fix EITHER piece. The tech called and stated new furniture would be delivered on 05/10/12. 05/07/12: no call of new delivery time. Called Ashley and they asked if I could call the warehouse... SURE, anything to make THEIR jobs EASIER! Called the warehouse. They stated that the "wedge" was not in yet and wouldn't be till 05/23/12. I stated that our current "wedge" had not issues and we only needed to have the couch and love seat. She then backtracked and stated that NONE of the pieces were ready or would be ready till the 05/23/12. I called Ashley's told them to come and pick this furniture up and demanded a refund....there have been NO APOLOGIES and we are STILL at war with them...STILL stuck with broken furniture.. RUN... RUN FAST! In the end... the furniture is CRAP. Seams already pulling apart with threads hanging. One of the recliners stick and have to be really forced down. You get what you pay for and go with your first impression! read more

I ordered a couch and matching loveseat. I asked for a delivery a month out because I was going out of town. Delivery date is looming and they call me the day before to inform me the loveseat is delayed. So...I will receive the sofa without the loveseat and basically, I get it when I get it. Yes, it is in the fine print that they can change the delivery date. I contemplated cancelling the whole order because I am afraid of having a couch without a loveseat...because who knows when it will come. They gave me a date but it's not guaranteed. They informed me it's a 10% cancellation fee...even though they created the problem. It was terrible customer service and they didn't care about my problem at all. They just asked that when I write this Yelp review, that it says in the fine print that they can change the delivery date. Well...Ashley...here you go. I mentioned it...funny, still makes you out having terrible customer service, doesn't it? If you would have have acted like you cared, that would have made a small difference but I got the talk to the hand attitude. I texted my original sales person, who is on maternity leave and at least she was apologetic and seem concerned. Never, never, will I shop with them again. Run...run...to another furniture store. I didn't have these problems with Rooms To Go...maybe I just got lucky with them, who knows I improved the rating from one star to three because I did get my loveseat the following week and the delivery service was very good. I am mainly posting a negative review about the customer care department. They are defensive from the moment you talk to them. Ashley Furniture did try to call me after I posted this review and I called them back to tell them to call me back...they did not return my call. However, I got my order completed, so I'm happy. Would I use them again....probably not. If everything goes to plan, then it's a good company. If it doesn't, the customer has no recourse. They have you with the 10% cancellation fee and the small print that states no accountability to deliver the goods when the say. It's hard to know how to review Ashley Furniture. The salesperson I worked with was great, and I'm pleased with the furniture that was delivered. However, I've been waiting for several weeks for some pieces I was assured would be delivered by a certain date. Every time I call, it's two more weeks until these items become available. This has happened four times now. When I try to call their main number to find out what's going on, I end up on hold for 15-30 minutes, only to be HUNG UP ON the moment someone tries to answer my call. Their delivery service is terrible. Their "expert" craftsmen installed our bed wrong so I had to take more time off from work to be there for them to come fix it. They made appointments and didn't keep them. We had to reschedule several times because they couldn't honor their appointments. All they could say was "sorry, that's our policy." My retired mom bought an $850 couch from this location two years ago and it's already falling apart. The frame is separating in three locations. Looking under the couch, the frame is made up of particle board. Not just minor pieces, but even the major support pieces are particle board. Ashley only carries a 1 year warranty but the frame has a limited lifetime warranty. Catch word being "limited". Limited means they will only cover parts. She would have to pay for pickup and delivery to and from the factory and $89 an hour for labor. It's been two weeks since the representative came out to look at the couch. They were supposed to call her to arrange a time for someone to pick it up and get it repaired, but so far no call. But, why pay the people who manufactured such a bad piece of furniture to repair their shoddy work. It should have been done right the first time. Worst furniture buying experience I've ever had. BE WARNED!!!! Ashley delivered our couch with a missing piece and then didn't schedule our 2nd couch for downstairs. When we found out they never scheduled our downstairs couch we also found out they were going to deliver another wrong piece for upstairs. We bought our couches in December and it's now February. My fiancé spent 2 hours on the phone speaking to customer service and billing who ALL pointed the fingers at each other. No one will take accountability. Horrible corporation. They then tell us we have to go in the store to replace the wedge. Turns out we have to purchase the wedge to exchange it bc they never charged for the 4th piece of our couch but somehow we have an extra wedge. This is the WORST experience we've ever had with ANY company. We returned downstairs since it never arrived. DO NOT purchase from ASHLEY!!!!! The reviews and twitter feed are TRUE. Disgusted that they treat people this way. Unbelievable. Do not, under any circumstance, buy from Ashley Furniture. They have no idea what customer service is past the point of sale. I had a fine experience in the store, got what I wanted at a price I was willing to pay. Now, the item I ordered was supposed to be delivered this Saturday, 2/4. The item was ordered in the store on 1/16. I get a call yesterday, almost 3 weeks after the purchase, telling me the item is not in stock and will not be available until 2/8. I understand that things happen that are beyond control, but the fact that this store has such a horrible grasp on their own stock and availability should have been the first clue as to not to purchase anything here. I ask for delivery on the following Saturday, 2/11 and make the request that it's delivered before noon. I think that's a reasonable compromise. You are putting me at an inconvenience, I accept that, now make it right by delivering in an early delivery window. Was informed that there was no way of knowing when it would be delivered until 2/9 and even then, the best they can do it offer a window. Called the store and talked to the manager there who tells me the same. So I email their customer service department. Got a call today from their Customer Service stating that based on the location, there's no way they can deliver before noon. Well, wait, I thought there was no way of knowing until 2/9? But all the sudden, they know now and the answer is that my reasonable request is not possible. I called to cancel the order and was told you can only cancel within 48 hours of purchase. Never mind that the item is not in stock. Never mind the store is not out even one copper penny. Never mind that it's their own dereliction of duty that is causing the request to cancel. Best they offered is to give me store credit and a $25 gift certificate off my next purchase. WHY WOULD I EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THERE AGAIN??? So, that's an empty offer if I have ever heard one. Now, my only recourse is to see if they'll cancel the delivery charge and then just let me pick up the dang chair. Of course, no one can answer that. Apparently, the ability to even cancel the service they can't perform, needs to be cleared by the president of the company or something. I hope anyone thinking about buying from them comes to yelp first and sees all these negative comments. I would have saved myself a lot of heartache had I done so. The quality of the furniture doesn't relate with the prices they charge. I bought a sofa bed about 1.5 years ago but it has been used as a bed very few times (4 or 5). The hooks already ripped the sofa's deck. By reviewing the damage you can see that the design provides very little protection to avoid this to happen. Customer service will offer only a visit but not the repairs. I'm just sahsaying that we were expecting a little bit more quality. we have other furniture from here (3 bedroom sets) but those also present quality issues. I walked around for 30 minutes and not a single salesperson spoke to me. Which was pathetic because I planned on spending a good amount of money on my furniture. Finally, someone spoke to me as I was on my way out and I purchased a couch that went on sale the following week. It was $150 cheaper and I had to call and request that my price be adjusted. If I could give zero stars I would. We bought a new house and after my mother-in-law bought us a couch from RoomstoGo (and enjoyed a pleasant experience), we wanted to buy a bed from them, but they stopped carrying the model we liked. After getting a positive review from a coworker, we went to Ashley. Biggest mistake EVER. The showroom is very nice and their furniture seemed to be a little more stylish than Roomstogo, but we did not have time to fill out paperwork for financing that night and decided to come back the next day. Unfortunately, we were handed off to a different salesperson who took TWO hours to finalize our order. We were so close to leaving and I wish we had. We were told the bed we wanted wasn't available for a few weeks and when we double checked, realized the salesperson had put the WRONG bed on our order. After putting the correct bed, it was thankfully available a week earlier, which is when we needed it because of out of town guests coming that weekend. Flash forward to the week of our delivery and I get a voicemail message saying they have to push back the entire delivery because the side rails to our bed were delayed. I called back, wait to speak to someone and find out it's been pushed back ANOTHER week. After explaining what the voicemail message said, they put me on hold again, come back and say they could get it the week I was quoted in the message (still a week late). Worried that they still got the wrong bed on the order, the customer service person tries to verify that it's the right one, but CANT. Their website doesn't have product numbers and all the upholstered beds have the same name: upholstered bed. She tells me I need to go to the store to confirm that they got me the right bed. Drive out of my way after work to talk to an inane front desk person who cannot tell by the order which bed it is. I end up having to find the bed on the showroom floor and take a picture of the model number so he can then talk to a salesperson to confirm it's the right bed. Again, he's showing a later date than what the voicemail message tells me and says there's nothing he can do. They remind us that it's been more than 48 hours so we cannot cancel our order. All we can do is exchange it for something else (and probably wait even longer). I leave the store and call the customer service line again, wait for 30 minutes to talk to someone and am again quoted a later date. At this point I am irate and can't believe how unapologetic and ridiculous their business practices are. After reading all the other reviews on here I am terrified that we just spent 2k on furniture that will probably show up several months from now damaged, or assembled incorrectly. Rip off artists! Purchased a living room set and a box spring (foundation). Asked for a regular box spring, they sent something called a "low profile" foundation which is only about 2-3 inches thick. Called to have the issue corrected and they gave me the run around for over a week, then told me they would not correct the error even though it was their mistake. Spoke with a manager and customer care on multiple occasions with no success. They had their money and that's all they were concerned with. Disgusting business model. Terrible customer service. The shopping experience was great then it comes down to delivery. There's only one option and that is delivery. Then they call less than a week later to change your delivery date, offer a gift card to their store then never send it. Now the furniture is delivered but the hardware is not with the furniture. The manager says they will mail you the hardware and once it comes in you will have to call and schedule a time for them to come back out to put the furniture together. This will take 5-7 business says she says. She offers you a gift card or store credit but you never receive it. The hardware is never mailed, as a matter of fact its nearly impossible to get a anyone on the phone. When you finally do it takes another 3 days to get someone to finish putting your furniture together. Now less than a year later your furniture falls apart. And they refuse to replace it so you file a complaint with the BBB. Very soon after I get call from a machine confirming the delivery of my furniture. We spent $11,000.00 dollars at Ashley in one day. The salespersons were so helpful. They even suggested we spend an additional $500.00 on an extended warranty for our expensive sectional sofa. We bought the warranty to cover said sofa for 5 years. 20 months later when the sofa began to fall apart ............. crickets. We have been trying for5 months to get it repaired and cannot get a response to our inquiries. We finally got someone on the phone to talk about this and were told that for the most part our warranty is no good. Repairs will have to be paid for by us. Take our advice....NEVER NEVER EVER SHOP AT ASHLEY FURNITURE STORE. So here is a follow up to my review. After six months of calling Ashley furniture to complain about her broken furniture they finally sent a man out to take pictures of all of the furniture and the damages. Two weeks later having not heard from them we finally got someone on the phone I would proceed to tell us we were responsible to pay for all the repairs on the furniture even though we had bought a $500 extended warranty to cover such things we thought. But as you'll find out if you shop at Ashley furniture they are very misleading with their product and their warranties. As a warning to everyone do not ever shop at the store ever you would just get ripped off. read more

I was very hesitant to shop here due to all of the negative reviews. In fact, we almost didn't go because we were so worried about what we read. We have some neighbors we are friends with, who convinced us to go, so we decided to give it a shot and went with them. We each had very different experiences. For us, it was easy from start to finish. We picked out our piece, paid for it, it was delivered on time by friendly guys, and all was well. Our neighbors had a much more frustrating experience. They found a living room set they liked, negotiated a price for it (which took a very, very long time), they went to pay for it..... and that's where they had a bunch of issues. The cashier messed up their pricing which had been previously approved. That took a long time to sort out, but it got fixed. They then messed up on the color they had chosen not once, but three times. That too took a very long time to sort out. They then found out that they were going to have to wait quite a long time for their delivery day, instead of getting their furniture in a few days like we did. All in all, they're happy with their purchase and the price they paid, but their experience was very frustrating. We are happy with our experience, and our furniture, but I found the exact same piece with free delivery the next day online for a $100 less. We'll be price checking next time we're at the store, but aside from that, our experience was good. We have a bedroom set to buy next, and I'm hoping that our next experience will be as good as this first one was. read more

We have been customers for years and had great luck until now! We bought a nice dining room set. It was delivered with one of the glass shelves missing. It took over 2 months to get our shelf! We had to stop by the store, call multiple times and pester them constantly until we finally got it sent to us. Not only were the delivery men extremely rude, especially when we asked about our missing shelf, but customer service the entire time was awful!! It's been a nightmare. We will NEVER use this store again and if we could return our furniture and be done with them completely we would! read more
