WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Our couch & ottoman that was bought in Mid May has now been delayed for the 4th time. We were schedule to have our furniture delivered tomorrow morning & this morning they called to say the manufacturer didn't have our items on the truck & that it is now pushed out * tentatively* another month. They also said that they could not guarantee that as they have no contact with the manufacturer. This was a couch that was featured on the front page of their Memorial Day Sales ad & the sales associate assured me that it would be delivered at the latest Mid June. I've also had a ton of trouble, since buying my furniture, trying to contact them. Apparently the corporate office is not affiliated with the individual stores and vis versa, so talking with anyone in customer service is a nightmare and the store usually takes over 2 hours to answer the phone. I live over an hour away so it's not convenient for me to drive there to check on my order. The first few delivery dates I was given was because I spent hours trying to get a hold of somebody, not because they called me. Worst customer service EVER and I thought Rooms To Go was bad! Well be aware of Ashley telling you that your delivery is scheduled and it wasn't. I purchased a chair a month ago for my mom for Christmas. I decided to call day of delivery (2 days before Christmas). I was informed that i got a call of the delay on the 20th. Which i did not.So many lies they say to take your money. Sales team were very nice and helpful, but when it comes to the company's logistics...AWFUL!! We were told we would have our furniture in 1 week. Well they called us 3 times telling us they had to reschedule the delivery which ended up pushing the delivery back several weeks. We made sure to ask them in the very beginning if everything was in stock so there would be no delivery hold ups and they assured us all items were in stock. Obviously they lied to us. Couple chairs ended up having issues with the legs and we didn't even want to deal with Ashley again so we are going to try and fix them ourselves. Not a good experience at all! read more

***I need to revise this review, Ashley's totally made this right for us, they filed a claim for us and issued a full credit. I'll be shopping there soon to pick out my new living room set. I'm totally blown away, I never expected them to take care of it like they did.*** On January, 2013, we purchase a matching power sofa, power love seat. They were made of a composite of leather and vinyl, I believe Durablend. This was a very nice, expensive set and we hoped it would last us for a long time,especially since it's rarely used. We also purchased a protection plan which we typically don't do. 3 years later, January of this year, the sofa started cracking and peeling where my husband sits. We are rarely home and he might sit on it twice a week for an hour or two at most. I tried filing claims several times but got nowhere, I was immediately rejected, once they even told me that it doesn't cover damage from wear even though I read the policy to her. She said her policy didn't say that. So, wasted my money on this plan as well. I tried to contact Ashley and was basically told, too bad. I contacted a furniture repair place and he said he couldn't fix it since it was cracking and peeling. I would need to have it reupholstered. If I reupholster the sofa, I will also need to do the loveseat to match. Plus, I'm afraid the loveseat will also do this. So we have a couch and loveseat that look awful and I will be forced to spend several thousands of dollars to purchase another one elsewhere. I won't be shopping at Ashley's again. read more

I really love Ashley's furniture but their customer service is just terrible. Truly wished I looked at these reviews before I purchased. I ordered a living and dining room set back in January and I still only have part of my order (mid March now). I had a set of barstools delivered three different times because they were sent to me assembled incorrectly and slanted. Every time I called customer service they just asked if I wanted to cancel my order. My couch was supposed to be available Feburary 16th and now they are saying they won't even have it available until April 1st. Their sales associate gave me his card and number and to "reach out if I needed anything".. my husband and I reached out several times with no response. Meanwhile, they charged my card the day I left that store so I paid in full for furniture I still don't have. This entire process is just so frustrating and I wish I bought all of my furniture from a different company. read more

Ordered two sofas, love seat, and more. Delivery was scheduled for Wed 3 to 6. Delivery folks never called or never got any notification. Delivery arrived at 8:40pm in dark, delivery folks threw both couches out of truck and then brought into my home. I had to refuse delivery as sofas were damaged (from being thrown out of truck). They asked if I wanted to view other furniture but since it was almost 9pm and dark I could not see anything without a flash light. So I called and when I purchased to the sales agent that I needed the furniture before Sunday at latest. They were able to get me delivery on Saturday. So far the delivery has moved three times with the expected delivery and now we are running past 5pm....I just hope they show up before dark again. If I knew it would be this difficult I would have purchased furniture some where else. Best part is they offered half off delivery or store credit. how about full delivery credit...since delivery has been a nightmare. read more

Worst Furniture you can buy! It looks nice but the crap falls apart on you within a year. We have had a bed delivered and they came with the bed but no hardware to put it together, they had to come back a week later to put it together it fell apart. Our faux leather couch is disintegrating and peeling off. Our sofa before that one had a foot just collapse. I swear I will never buy from Ashley's again and don't get scammed by the extra Warranty from Montage because they won't pay for anything. Ashley Furniture is the worst furniture company I have EVER dealt with. My fiancé and I bought a around $400 coffee table set and were told there would be some delays in delivery because of covid which is completely understandable. However, once the furniture finally did arrive around a month later, it had very noticeable damage on all three pieces of the set. From scratches, to peeling on the finishes and more it was just terrible. We emailed within 48 hours to report the damage and never heard back. After a day or two we called the customer care line and the person said they could see our ticket and would be processing an exchange for us. When the exchange finally happened, the furniture arrived damaged again. It is not assembled in your home and comes completely unwrapped with no protection at all. They also use a third party delivery service, so the guys that came to pick up the old set didn't know what to do with the new set and told us to just call and keep it for now. After we called, customer care said corporate could not manage that issue and to contact the store we bought it from directly. When we did that, we were told countless times the manager was not in and would be giving us a call back, which of course, they never did. Finally got in contact with someone today and they said the only thing they can offer is to schedule a tech to fix the furniture (which you can't even fix because there's literal scratches and dents) and to possibly exchange it again. However, they do not do returns because of covid. This does not make any sense, because with an exchange, you would still be picking up my furniture, so what's the difference??? It is pathetic to have such poor customer service and not offer a refund for furniture that is DAMAGED upon arrival. How can you ask a customer to be fine with paying almost $400 for furniture that comes not as promised. Ashely Furniture did not uphold its side of the purchase. In a difficult time like this, companies should value the purchases their customers make and realize we are supporting them through a trying time. Four hundred dollars is not a small expense. So sick and tired of Ashley furniture and their lies. First of all, I ordered a beautiful sectional on May 28th for their Memorial Day sale and spent $2500 with a guaranteed 2 week delivery. Asked the guy 4 times if it was in the warehouse and he promised it was there before I made the purchase. Let's fast forward to today, Aug 18th. After 4 failed deliveries and driving down to the store multiple times, we got a call today that 1 piece would be delivered tomorrow and the other 3 pieces would be delivered possibly in September. Why would I want 1 piece tomorrow?? Last month we were told the order was cancelled when we went to the store to cancel even though it never was (sneaky asses lied and never did). Never ever go to Ashley furniture! They will tell you any lie they can to make a sale! Then tell you they can't give you back cash, only check or by card, weeks later (if they even refund it) . Meanwhile, people pay for their furniture in cash all the time so I know they have the cash there on site! If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have ordered from Ashley Furniture before and never had an issue. Now I deeply regret shopping here for my new home. Ordered $4,000 of furniture in May and have only received two items. All other items have been "back ordered" and I have been given delivery dates for these items over 4 times. Latest develop was a scheduled delivery for Aug.19 at 10am. Received a call on Aug. 18 at 3:30 pm that my order was cancelled. I had my boyfriend take the day off from work to be home to receive the items and they cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. After waiting almost an hour and a half on the phone I was able to speak with someone only for them to tell me my order was pushed back yet again for the fifth time. The woman I spoke to actually recommended I just cancel my order!! I understand the pandemic related issues but I feel like I was sold items that were never in stock to begin with, am surprised by the blatant disrespect, and unhappy with the lack of communication. I plan to go to the store in person this upcoming weekend to cancel my order completely. I recommend if you are still waiting for items, you do the same. read more

ERIC is the BEST! 2 weeks ago my wife and I came through the store walked around, looked at furniture and we left unmolested the whole time! I bought a dining set and coffee table from Ashley, and the sales person never told me that they don't have return policy. The delivery people wanted to deliver to my old address although in the paper I had put my current address. I spent lots of hours trying to correct the delivery address although I had provided them correct address... They also could not correctly install the table, I had to install it myself again. It was expandable table so it could drop and break my knees due to wrong and loose installation.....I had bought the table set for a new house, I contacted sales person and told that it did not fit my kitchen and he said there is no return policy. I received it a week ago and I never used it, and the tags are still attached. It does not fit my kitchen and I want to either return or replace, and they are not accepting. Worst experience ever purchasing furniture. RUN and DON'T BUY ANYTHING THERE. Worst customer service and lies from the store employees just to get the sale. We will never purchase from Ashley furniture stores again and don't recommend anyone else to shop there. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE AND DO NOT SIGN THEIR PURCHASE CONTRACT! It was impossible for us to CANCEL the order the same day after purchase (the furniture hasn't been delivered either). Ashley store wanted to issue a partial refund only and keep some of our money for the canceled order. Customer service and management did not return our phone calls, hanged up the phone on us and lied on the phone. We had to call our credit card company to dispute the charges to get a full refund. PAY ONLY WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD SO YOU CAN DISPUTE THE FULL PURCHASE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY LATER. This store just wants to get your hard-earned money and Ashley's corporate store is like a franchise that assists the local store in coordinating sales but doesn't assist customers with any customer service or refund issues. We purchased a couch on in Feb, 2018. Delivery was promised the first week in March...they told us it takes that long to ship. The first week in March comes and they deliver the couch and the front wooden trim is busted. They load it back up. We now have NO couch since we had gotten rid of our old one. Our next delivery date was in three weeks. We explained that we had my husbands 87 year old mom coming to visit for a week and we need a couch for her to sit on. They graciously "lent" us one until ours could be delivered. Our next delivery was delayed again due to an unfortunate incident and it would be another three weeks. To compensate us for the mishap they gave us a set of lamps that would be delivered to the store in 2 weeks and when they arrived we would receive a call for us to pick them up. Two weeks passed no couch and no lamps. My husband followed up with the manager of the store to find out if our lamps had arrived and we were told that it showed they had already been pick up? Really??? He told us to come in and pick up the floor models of the lamps. Once they have sold you their products and have your money they could care less. about you as a customer. As for our couch....we still have the one that they lent us -they told us to keep it. Really if I wanted this one I would have picked this one out in the beginning. I was so done with this store and the manager. I DO NOT recommend Ashley's to any one...I am now hearing other horror stories just like ours. I purchased the Alea Bedroom set from Ashley Furniture in Gonzales, LA in April 2012. After about six months the wood in each piece has taken on a faint but strong enough to notice old sock smell. I have the five year extended warranty which only covers breakage......! I asked about the smell and was told that they sell this line all the time and have never had a complaint. This same bed set had a broken rail on the bed when delivered. It took nearly six months to get a new rail. When calling Ashley corporate to complain I was told they have nothing to do with how the individual stores manage. When I called the store back the manager yelled at me for calling corporate. Nice! So, I am stuck with furniture that smells no matter what I do. We are only talking about $2400.00 but it should not smell. read more

My husband and I had a great experience with Ashley Furniture! Kis is the employee who helped us with our living room set. He gave us a great deal and worked with our budget. It was a quick and easy process and our furniture arrived on the promised day, even 2 hours early. I am giving 5 stars because the customer service and delivery was great, the ONLY thing wrong was that our coffee table was slightly uneven upon arrival (its the kind that has the "lifting top") but hopefully it will be a quick screw tightening. We were very hesitant to shop here because of the terrible reviews, but I would shop here again and recommend this store to friends/family. read more

I wish there was a ZERO rating as that would be about right. I have been fighting with this store since November 2019. Due to the extreme delay in delivery of our parents furniture Christmas Gift, I canceled the extended warranty package on December 23, 2019. It was over $300.00. I have been jerked around and jacked around. It was supposed to be credited in December 2019, February 2020, April 2020, May 2020, July 2020 and today is September 15, 2020, NOTHING!!!!! I was told to call the company that the extended care plan was with. I did that, they showed that it had been cancelled, no refund was ever issued. They called the home office and was assured it would be credited. No! The local manager said that it had been too long for a refund that she would do store credit only. Then, they told me that someone in the home office would be issuing the credit, this was in August, no, it still has not been done. They are no longer returning my calls and not even answering the phone. At this point, it is not the money. I reached out to the home office and you should the reviews on that site. I am tired!!! I just spoke with their customer care and was given a reference number and she sent a message to someone who is supposed to contact me within 24-48 hours. What are the chances of that happening? We have our couch scheduled for a Monday they call and say it won't be here till Thursday. So we are bummed but say okay. Well they get here and it's supposed to be a three-piece sectional. However, they only have two pieces. No one called us to tell us about this mishap. Then they pull one of the two pieces off the truck and it's torn and broken. So, now we only have one piece. After talking to home office they say the both pieces that are missing will be delivered the following Wednesday. Well the day before the delivery driver calls and says they only have one piece. So we get on the phone to figure out what is going on and they have no clue where the other piece is at. After 2 hours they call and found it. So we get both pieces delivered on that Wednesday. The manager said we would get refunded $275 for our trouble. He offered way to not ask for a discount. But we only ended up with two different credits back totaling 180. And every time we try and call and talk to the manager about all the troubles we have had, he is suspiciously not there. And apparently my husband's coworker said he had the exact same problem with this location. So it looks like this store is crappy. read more

You can't get a worse furniture store than this. When my purchased furniture is getting delivered, firstly the driver is 1 and half hour late than the time frame they specified. Then the delivered furniture has missing pieces and defect. The driver agrees to do even exchange but customer service told me that they need to send a tech to exam the furniture first before they can do even exchange (meaning more time off work for the customer). My advice is that to reject anything that has defect at the time of delivery to save yourself some time. The only good part of the store is the cheap price. You get what you paid for. If you can afford it, stay away from this store. read more

I very much wish I had read these reviews before I made a purchase. But maybe you can learn from my bad experience as well as from the other reviews. We purchased a leather sofa, chair and ottoman a few years ago from the Pflugerville store. It was more than we had paid for any other furniture in our 38 years of marriage. But its not "you get what you pay for" at all since this turned out to be the worst piece of crap ever. The "leather" started flaking off after a couple of years and now looks embarrassing. When people come to our house they can't believe it. No one has ever seen anything like it. I should mention that we took very good care of this couch and actually kind of babied it. We went in today to show pictures of our couch but Joey Gonzales, the sales manager said there was nothing that he could do. He said to contact the customer care office in New Braunfels. I called them and they said since it was more than a year old I'd have to pay $30 for them to come out so I could show them the crappy furniture. I have a $50 plastic chair from Target that I bought at about the same time that is in fantastic condition while this $1,711.55 is falling apart. If you are looking for a company that wants to do what is right or cares about its reputation run from this place. BUYER BEWARE! My husband and I bought a sofa and even purchased the warranty as we have three kids - we knew we'd end up using it. The couch cushions are now splitting at the seams as well as the pillows. You can see the foam insides coming out. I called Ashley and of course the sofa is discontinued so nothing they can do. We purchased 2 sofas last Monday, we paid the delivery and the furniture arrived Tuesday, when we received the sofas, one of them was broken, they returned the sofas and ask us to call in for a replacement, when we did the store said they were out, to make things worse they noted the wrong sofa as being damaged, so now they want to bring the same we already have, we asked for the money back and they gave us the money for the lesser valued sofa, now they said we need to,wait until Tuesday to get answers.
