I was recently shopping around the Austin area for a new sectional sofa and when I saw this mega furniture I decided to take a look. Big waste of time! The sales person was sitting in a chair about 30 feet inside the store and barely looked up at me when I walked in. When she finally asked me what I was looking for she pointed me in the right direction and never even got up from sitting in the chair and looking at her phone. They have nothing in the back, everything is in a warehouse in San Antonio and must be delivered to your home or the store. Why would I come into a store to look at your online catalog or want something delivered for an up charge. I came in ready to spend money if, only if I get to walk out with something loaded up into my truck. If I'm getting it delivered I would just find the exact same item a couple hundred dollars cheaper (literally everything is up-charged compared to other websites, and for what it's not even in stock to pick up???). I left with nothing. The next day I came back in, decided I wanted electric reclining the different in price was nearly double ($1600 for a leather loveseat) okay fine. Still they wouldn't sell me anything off the floor. I looked at another one $300 cheaper. Finally they came back after giving me a hard time two days in a row that if I get the $1600 one they would let me take the showpiece with a 5 year warranty. Like what a shoddy way to run a business. How many couches are you really selling that you can't sell me this one and get another show piece in a couple days from your warehouse. So if I spend 1600 instead of 700 now all of a sudden you want to work with me and make a damn sale. Like I can't imagine that these couches are so expensive that they're not really making any overhead off of them, and they say they're shipping is really "fast" so I don't see why they would want to make a sale if they can get another one quickly. Now I know why the lady gave me a miniature water bottle because there was one tiny little skinny boy helping me load up this couch. No one wanted to help it was just me and him. Terrible service and no accountability! My wife and I recently bought two couches from this store and paid for the delivery service. They won't give you a time in advance, so the delivery men showed up in the evening when I had to go to work, so they had to wait 15-20 minutes for her to get home. Instead of being understanding, they threatened to not go through with the delivery unless my wife paid them more money individually, then extorted her for more money, then made sexually inappropriate comments towards her while she was alone with the two men in our apartment, and then they later kept trying to call her so we had to block their numbers. When we complained multiple times to Mega Furniture, they refused to refund us the extorted money and refused to take any action against the two men. read more

Very very horrible experience and I would never recommend Mega furniture. I did purchase a master bedroom set with this Mega furniture and I paid around $3700 . They delivered me the damaged set initially and I had to refuse my delivery. Later I had to deal with so called manager and this manager never responds on time as they already took my money. Other store associates try to help but they have no clue on what's going on. After one month they finally redelivered my furniture and I received a damaged furniture one more time. The 3700 furniture looks very cheap and it's like a used furniture. This is really really where I am upset that they don't refund your money and they don't deliver the right product. I bought my wife a Curio cabin to include buffet and hutch, when delivered I noticed cracks on hutch and stain on hutch and buffet do not match, I called customer service and they said they would take care of. I never received any communication, for information I had to call, after 2 months they would not answer phone calls. After 5 months I finally got ahold of someone. They said they finally had replacement in stock but when schedule day came no one ever showed up. I called and they said the system had an error and I was not put on schedule Ok, so here we are, 9 months and still have (what!!!) .we rescheduled and this time on day of delivery they called and said replacement was also damaged and I was not available for replacement any more. This is ridiculous, How can this be my fault when they cloud not provide a good product. I wrote a bad review at that time and 2 weeks later they called and said they were delivering a replacement. When they came both hutch and buffet were extremely damaged, even delivery guys could not believe what we were going thru. Needless to say they took replacements back and said they would submit for replacement. Well here we are 2 months later and 9 months since a bought it and no word from anyone and to make things worse I can't even find my order on line. These guys have just watched my hands of me and left me with a damaged product. I say i was ripped off and I will never recommend Mega furniture to anyone, as a matter of fact I am going to seek counsel and see how this can be made right for me. We changed our furniture set and they still tried to deliver the old one. When I called the store they blamed it on the warehouse, my husband took the whole day off because they promised it was coming later that day. Then they promised the next day, well I had to have my mom go to my house and wait for them and still nothing all day. They finally showed up at 7pm, they were in such hurry that they broke one of my planters outside and stripped all of the screws to the bed. I initially asked for a replacement, sent 6 emails, called 5 times, even visited the store twice, and they kept rejecting to replace it. BUYER BEWARE: DO NOT BUY HERE!!!!! I placed an order on the website and was supposed to have my items delivered 12/21/21. I received a confirmation text on December 14th which I replied to. 12/20/21 I received a call to confirm my delivery and called back 3 times over the course of the day and no one answered and I never received a call back. I left a message 12/20/21 confirming my delivery. 12/21/21 I called to confirm what time my items would be delivered and was told by the customer service rep that I have been rescheduled to December 29th because I did not confirm. I told her I left a voicemail and called multiple times yesterday and her response was "yeah.. someone probably should listen to the voicemails at the end of the day". I asked to speak to a manager and was told the customer service manager, Yolanda, was in a meeting and would call me back. On 12/22/21 I finally reached the manager and instead of helping me with my order I was told that I was being "disrespectful" because I was trying to explain that the office needed to check messages more proactively and get back to customers timely and that I needed my items to be delivered. As the Yelping goes, I would give this a zero were it not for our salesman who has been trying to make something happen for us. My husband and I purchased a bed, adjustable bases and a bedroom set the week before the shelter in place order was given; so, granted, this is not the best time to be expecting any really great customer service, but it's now been four months, and stores are reopened, and there is so much which could have been done in the interim via email. I have tried calling and emailing and calling and emailing and chatting with reps on their website and NOTHING. Somehow, I was able to help the main regional website reps update their phone number on their page. I've tried emailing the regional manager and was told I should hear back in about 48 hours and it's been two weeks. My husband and I don't know what else we can try. All we want to do is return the adjustable bases, and exchange the mattresses -- something we were promised would be an option if we were not satisfied. But now it feels like we were lied to and no one wants to help us. The beds are uncomfortable and actually, on some mornings, painful. The adjustable bases are two different heights and it just isn't working. Some of the drawers were installed improperly, but we don't even care about that. We just want to fix the mattresses and bases problems. I'm reluctant to post this because I'm afraid if someone from the company reads this, we will be even further written off, but how much more could we be? They told me they would call when the frame arrived from their San Antonio store. When I hadn't heard from them in 2 weeks I called and they said they had it.... umm okay. So I went to pick it up and the lady told me there was no bunkie board. I would have to purchase that separately. I told her I was promised a bunkie board and she told me it included slats. I got home and unloaded the frame and there were no slats. I called the store and they put Sam on. Bought some furniture from these people and they just keep making excuses for the fact that it can't last for more than a year. The couch finish is perfectly fine after 3 years but the chair looks like it was dragged down the street because the Finish is flaking off. Finish has been flaking off since after a year. it wasn't bad at first and I thought it was just in one spot but then it kept peeling off, that's why I contacted them eventually. My wife and I ordered a couch in August, they said it would take 6-8 weeks. Week 8 rolls around and we still haven't heard anything from them. I called up there just to find out that the couch wouldn't be in until late November. I decided to go up there and see what they had in stock that I could get sooner. I found a new couch and I picked it up about a week later. I brought it to my house and started setting it up just to find out that the legs for the chase were missing. Upon delivery of our furniture, one of Mega Furniture's movers noticed that our lift top table had some dents in it. He called the warehouse to notify them. We took pictures (worker and my husband) and he told us that someone from the warehouse would be in touch with us to schedule the delivery of our new table. 5 weeks later, we call Mega Furniture to check up on the status of our new table. They tell us that someone from the warehouse will be in touch with us. 2 months later, no one has contacted us. I am very disappointed with this. We had the opportunity to buy a "show table" right from the show floor for a lesser price. We choose not to since that table has nicks and dinks. The table we paid more for has the same amount of nicks and dinks and the show table. Clearly, there has been some breakdown in communication here. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS STORE. It all started with the price on the couch. It was posted online for a certain price and when we came inside to buy it, they tried marking it up $500, saying it's the online price only and their guys don't make money off that. We talked to 3-4 different people and were able to get them down to the correct price. We purchased it and they held it for 3 months so we could finish the build of our house. On the morning it was supposed to be delivered, I got a phone call saying that I was the 9th stop, we waited all day, only to find out at 2-3 pm that it wasn't on truck for deliver that day it was for the next day. Sony, who works at the front desk, was very rude and condescending. Told me I had no idea what I was talking about and I just needed to wait another day for my delivery. We finally got our delivery almost a full 24 hours later and the delivery guys damaged the frame of the couch. We have called into the store many times and asked to speak to the manager, Joe , but he is always helping another customer, at lunch or just not available so "we can have him call you back".....he never does. We are still waiting to see what they do about the damaged part of the couch and how they rectify this whole situation. I had been price shopping for over a week, wanting to get the best product and best price for my money. After stopping by Mega Furniture a couple of times, I went back for a third. This time I noticed they had the sofa I liked and had seen at another furniture store, with the matching Loveseat. I took notice. The dining room table I had previously seen too was on a sale. Mario assisted me and did a great job, granted it was his first day. Julia, store manager, was there with her knowledge and professionalism to assist both Mario and I. I bought a bed for our guest room. They upcharged me on the frame, and charged me a delivery fee for a dining table I didn't purchase. When I was waiting to be checked out, I had to wait on the store manager for some reason. She was having a conversation with an employee that should have not been held on the show floor, as it seemed it should have been private. They were a day late on the delivery and when I called to complain about the delivery being pushed a day later, and asked for money to be credited to my card for the extra delivery fee the store manager argued with me. He didn't inform me that his assistant called in sick, or I would have suggested he come back with his helper. Instead he asked my boyfriend to help him move the couch. TLDR If you want peace of mind, AVOID Mega Furniture!!! They will not follow through on their promises, constantly delay shipments, and ignore calls to their support line. 0/5 stars do not recommend! We spent five figures here last year Memorial Day weekend to furnish the new house we were moving into and dealing with them was a constant headache. It has taken almost a year to resolve issues to their satisfaction, not ours. When calling their support line, most often they will not pick up and they never call back if you leave a message. The first delivery came when expected, for two leather sectionals - a white and a brown one, amongst other things. Everything came in new cardboard boxes except for the white sectional, which just came wrapped in some plastic. I asked about this to make sure it was new and the delivery people assured me that it was not the display model. On that note, the delivery people, although otherwise nice and professional, refused to take their shoes off and did not have booties, so we had to let them in with their shoes on in the house, which is against our cultural practice, and unhygienic especially in the midst of a global pandemic. After assembling all of the furniture they took pictures of multiple damaged points on both of the leather sectionals. The brown one wasn't too bad so I was fine with just repair, but they specifically said the damaged pieces on the white set would be replaced as there were some deep punctures, gashes, and scratches. For the remaining furniture I had to keep calling for updates, they would say it would be ready on a date, then it was on back order again, give a new date, each time noting the specific number of pieces they were ordering and how they were reserving one for me. This happened about three or four times... I got the sense that they were shipping them to other customers instead. Then when the furniture was ready to send, twice, they set a date to deliver and then did not show up, no notice or anything. My outdoor patio set arrived in October, when it was supposed to have come July. The bar stools had uneven legs and when they sent someone to fix it as well as the brown sectional, he was a nice guy, but ineffective as the legs remained uneven and the paint patches on the sectional looked even worse in one spot. Back to the white sectional, after multiple attempts, finally in August Angelica in dispatch was patient enough to look through all the notes, confirmed she found the damage reports for the sectionals, confirmed everything was reported in time and would be totally covered. She was compiling a report and would call back in an hour after talking to management. I never got a call back. In the following months, while trying to still get the other furniture delivered, I would check in on what was going on with the sectionals... Almost every time I was talking to a new person, they would not be able to find the previous notes and they would often say the previous person I talked to didn't work there anymore. Finally in December, I talked to Stephany and she found the approval to get the five sectional pieces replaced and I requested that they replace all seven pieces, since in between, I had visited the store again to try and get some of these issues resolved and noticed that while the brown sectional that was on display was still there, interestingly, the white sectional was replaced by a new model, which added more to my suspicion that they had just sent me the already damaged and used display model. The following months was back to no responses, not being able to find previous notes, and then saying that there was no approval for replacement, Stephany didn't work there anymore, and all they could do now was attempt to do repairs. I had to finally settle for their sloppy paint jobs in the end and live with the probably display model after paying $3000 for it. Please save yourselves the pain I had to go through and shop somewhere else. I found out many of their pieces are branded Ashley Furniture so it would probably be better to shop there directly anyways. read more

Prepare to be chased around the store constantly peppered with questions. At one point the guy walks off, comes back 30 seconds later holding their newspaper ad in the air and asking us to look at it for more deals. What is this? The 80s? I don't blame the annoying sales guy though, I blame management. When we were walking out I could hear him explaining we just weren't interested and the furniture wasn't our style. I like the selection here and the sales staff is very friendly. I wound up purchasing a nice area rug. (8x10) The rug was initially $499.99 plus $49.99 delivery fee. Jesse, the sales associate, and his manager helped us out. The price was knocked down by $100 for incentive. Additionally, the delivery fee of $49.99 was waived for our family.
