I did not have a good experience at this location. I called inquiring about a sofa from the website and was told it was on sale for a lower price and that it had to be ordered in store. I left work early, drove to the store so that I could order it under the sale that day, only to find out that the salesman gave me the information for the wrong couch. Sadly enough I wouldn't even give them 1 star. I purchased a sectional and the 3 pieces that were delivered all have manufacturing defects. I've sent an email with the pictures and after calling to verify the email was received, I was told somebody would call with 48 hours to come out and fix the defects. Two weeks later and there's still no call and if I try to call their customer service I'm told that I've picked a wrong option. I don't think the defects can be fixed at my house since some of them are where material was not caught up in the seam. So unless they plan on bring a factory sewing machine, I'm not sure how they think it will be fixed. If I had a way to get the couch back to Ashley, I'd take it back and take a hit on the restocking fee. read more

I'm not happy , I went in to get a low profile box spring to lower my bed by 4 inches. Delivery team set it up took off the plastic. Got into bed the next day and it was extremely firm. If I had been told it would effect the softness I would have reconsidered. Because the plastic was removed I now have to buy the original size box springs. So here goes $250 down the drain, getting a hold of a manager has been difficult. The sales floor has tried to help but without approval they can offer nothing. Never again! Here's my story: From the time we walked in the store to the time we walked out, it took 3 hours, and we already knew what couch we wanted to purchase in the beginning. They were super slow, even though it wasn't busy inside, because they want to talk to you forever and make you feel like you were getting such a great deal while throwing in "free" services. We didn't want to open a new credit card to purchase the couch, so the guy who runs their loan department talked to us, and his breath reeked of alcohol. The in-store experience was the least of our worries because we were just glad to get out of there and have a new couch purchased. It wasn't going to stop us from purchasing from Ashley again, just annoying. However, the delivery and customer service experience is why we will NEVER buy from Ashley again. When we had our couch delivered, the delivery guys caused damage to our walls, stair railing, and our condo building. The space to go upstairs is a tight fit, but the guys didn't take the legs off of the couch first so they tore up everything. A second set of delivery guys had to come take the legs off and get it upstairs, but this was after 8 hours of waiting. Once they got the couch upstairs and unwrapped, we saw 6-7 holes on it from the first movers forcing it. Speaking of the first movers, one of them was not paying attention in our place, not even moving furniture, and he walked backwards and knocked over our leather Z Gallerie bed frame was standing up causing some of the leather to rip off. The bed frame was well out of his way and in our bedroom, he was just walking aimlessly!! Three weeks later (yes, it took 3 weeks and it was 3 full weeks of me calling EVERY day to check on the status of my in-home damage report because I never heard from them) we had a repair guy come out and movers to bring a new couch to repair the torn up one. The repair guy touched up the work, but the paintbrush streaks still show on the wall from new paint he didn't blend in, and the railing color he used doesn't match the rest of it. No, they don't repair the entire space, just the damaged areas, which doesn't work nor look right. Also, a chunk of sheet rock was knocked out of our wall and while he covered most of it up, it's still very noticeable because of its location. He touched up my leather bed frame but you can still see a hole from where it ripped. This is all a major problem when you are a renter who put down a $1400 deposit to the owner. The owner hasn't seen any of this, and while nothing looks terrible, it's noticeable and different than the owner left it. So, I can't imagine I'll be getting my full $1400 back at the end of my lease, and Ashley won't do anything about it. A few tips to know...their delivery customer service department is awful if you have any problems. Also, their repair guy is a contractor who does mediocre work so don't expect a perfect repair if something gets damaged. I can't explain to you the dozens of phone calls, stress, and staying on top of this issue it took just to get basic repairs done and cut my losses before it got any worse. My families experience at Ashley was not good. My parents went to Ashley to buy a sofa and two reclining chairs. The sales team was very nice and helped my parents get what they wanted. The furniture took 2 weeks to be delivered. After the furniture was delivered the problems started about a week later. The two recliners started to squeak when you rock in them. I called Ashley and they sent out a repair man a week later. He oiled the wood under the recliners and told me that it was due to atmospheric conditions. Several days after he left it started to make noise again. I called them back and asked them to take the chair back and get us new chairs. They told me that they had a NO RETURN policy and that includes if the furniture breaks. They offered to send out the repair man again and I said yes. I also told them that the arms on the sofa are not padded and my dad hit is head on the sofa when he tried to lay down on it. The repair man came out again a week later and looked at the chairs. He told us he would report back to upper management to have the under carriage rebuilt in our home. He also stuffed the sofa with more padding and told us we would have to do it every couple of years. I told him I was not satisfied and wanted the furniture to be picked up. He said no returns. He said we can get it rebuilt or live with the problems. After he left I called customer service and they told me no returns no what so ever. I then called the credit card company. I told them of the situation and they pulled the money from Ashley and put it in a dispute status. I also called the store manager and told them of the situation. After two weeks of going back and forth with the store, upper management and filing a BBB claim Ashley agreed to return the furniture and credit my parents credit card. I personally will not be shopping at Ashley again or would suggest the store to friends and family. The no-return policy should be a red flag to any consumer and in my option is bad customer service. I am happy for the out come of my situation but I had to work hard to get the return and refund. read more

I hate Ashley Furniture. They absolutely will not work with you once you have accepted a delivery. If you don't like something it apparently is best to refuse the order and be with out that essential item rather than calling back to speak to customer service about the issue. In my case I wanted to do a reselection but it would cost me a 30% restocking fee plus 10% of the total ticket. This blew my mind because when I had had an issue with Nebraska Furniture Mart they were not accommodating but completely understanding. Sub par furniture and TERRIBLE customer service. We bought a pricey bedroom set just 3.5 years ago and today the side rail split. When it split, the wood inside looks like plywood. As annoyed as I was, I was willing to buy a new side rail, but they've discontinued the bed and said I'm out of luck fixing it and have to purchase a new bed. RIDICULOUS! Do not purchase furniture from the Plano, Tx store. I have purchased before in Tyler and expected the same great results but unfortunately I didn't. I purchased a queen sized headboard, footboard, rails and a couch with matching loveseat on 1/16/21. I was told my order would be delayed due to the rails not being in warehouse and couch/loveseat being a new item. A couple of weeks later, I received a text from a salesperson saying that my delivery would be on 2/4 for majority of the items and on 2/6 for the remainder. The delivery never showed up. I spoke to a delivery person and was told that my delivery was never scheduled but he would schedule the bed and couch to be delivered on 2/9. The manager also called apologizing and offering to credit my cc back $100 for the inconvenience and said the bed and couch would for sure be here on 2/9 but the loveseat on 3/11. I received the couch in perfect condition but the bed (delivered unwrapped) has small paint chips on corners. 3/11 has come and gone and NO LOVESEAT. I have left numerous messages and have called several times with no call back. I reached out to my sales person via text just for him to provide me with another salesperson to text since he was on vacation. I texted that sales person and she said it is now scheduled for 3/25. If I do not have my loveseat on 3/25, I will file a complaint with BBB and file a police report. This is ridiculous! read more

WISH I would have looked at Yelp BEFORE I purchased my sofa! I bought it two weeks ago, and it came ripped and power on recliner not working properly. I made the call to get someone out here that day! They asked me "morning or evening?" I said "Morning". Then, they gave me a huge window of between 8-12. Being a hairdresser, I didn't like rescheduling my morning clients, but I did to wait for them. Just now, (the day before), got an automated call "confirming" my 4:00-7:00pm apt!! I can't say enough bad things about Ashley and the way the run their business. First off, I was told my mattress would come in on the Fourth of July, so I canceled all my plans to make sure I was there because I couldn't go another night without it. I found it odd I didn't receive a phone call for a reminder of what time they were coming so I called Ashley only for them to let me know they forgot to put my order in. So my Fourth of July plans were ruined for no reason & I had no where to sleep again. The next day, I go up to the store to make sure the rest of my furniture would be delivered on the 12th (which was promised) they tell me the sales associate lied cause he was new and I had to cancel all of my order and start furniture shopping again since they had no idea when I would actually get it. After all this, my mattress comes in the next day & after being a hour past the four hour time frame they give me, & they charged me $100 for delivery still after lying multiple times and dropping the ball. It wasn't the delivery guys fault at all because they had a situation they couldn't help for being late, it was my sales associate for blindsiding me multiple times. I can't believe also Ashley never once apologized and I will make sure everyone I know that is furniture shopping takes their business elsewhere. This place has THE WORST customer service. My dresser that I ordered broke on 6/15/21 after one month of use. I called to get a replacement part. It came broken. Called to get a second one. When I received it, I called customer service so they could schedule a tech to come out and fix it. They said a tech would call me to schedule. Nobody ever called. I called back customer service back on 8/8/21, they said someone would come today 8/10 at 9 am. I worked from home so I could be here to let them in. It's now noon. Nobody ever showed up. No call. No text. I called customer service and told them to forget it and I want a refund for the dresser. They told me I have to call the store. I called the store 15 times and every single time it went to voicemail. I called back the customer service line about 5 times and every time it would ring for 10 minutes then automatically hang up. I paid almost $500 for a pressed board piece of crap. Not even real wood. The bottoms of the drawers are falling out and I have had to keep my clothes on the floor for 2 months. Not only that but I had so many issues with delivery as well. I ordered a couch and they sent the wrong one. Had to wait two weeks to get that corrected. Ashley sucks. Don't use them. You could get a better quality dresser and customer service at Walmart. read more

When I purchased my couch about 10 days ago, I was really happy with the price and the customer service. A few years back, I even furnished much of my apartment with Ashley furniture but today, my mind was changed completely....... The delivery policy is terrible. I was told that basically, I should take time off of work so I can wait to have my couch delivered!!! They could not guarantee a time frame time to deliver my couch, not to mention that the delivery fee is $100 and they could not compromise not ever alittle bit. I start work at 2:30 most days of the week and they could not guarantee that it could be delivered before then on any day. And If I was to take the chance that it could be delivered before my work start time, they would call me an hour beforehand. But if they showed up and I needed to go to work and I was not there to receive the couch, they would charge me another $50 to reschedule the delivery. Worst policy ever!!! If I could give it zero stars, I would. I will NEVER purchase from Ashley Furniture again. I took a chance on this store knowing it was a little less expensive, but I am so disappointed. We purchased a bedroom set in JUNE! It's DECEMBER and we are still waiting to sleep on our bed. SIX MONTHS! It arrived incomplete and we had to wait for additional parts. Finally show up with the right parts. It broke within a week. We had to wait again for parts to be ordered, weeks later, they show up and all the parts weren't there. Wait weeks again for parts to show up. Each time, we were told they would call the day before coming. Never called. Wasted all day waiting for someone to show up because we were never given a window of time. My experience in the store was much better than other reviews posted on this website. I was helped by a sales rep. named Luciano who has helped me in the past. He has always been really nice and patient and has helped me find good deals at this store. The first thing I bought were two floor sample book shelves with a very substantial price cut. They look great in my house and the quality is fine as far as I can tell so far. My most recent purchase is a dining table with 8 chairs. Unlike some reviews you find on the internet the delivery was perfect! They even came three days early and their communication was great on the phone. They really did deliver what they promised! Since I just received this purchase I cannot say much about the quality of the dining table and the chairs. All I can say for now is that the service has been great! Luciano helped me cut the price down and worked with me so that I could get 0% financing for 20 months which was exactly what I was looking for. Since most reviews out there are more negative regarding Ashley's just remember that each store is individually owned and operated. So one store may be better than another. Each customer just needs to be an educated shopper when they go furniture shopping. I wouldn't write off Ashley's because of the negative reviews. They tend to have plenty of customers whenever I go there so it can't be all that bad. The only negative part was that I was helped by another representative before Luciano and he wasted my afternoon. Some sales reps can really be time consuming. So when you go just be aware of your time. These people are probably on commission so they will definitely try to sell something to you with everything they've got. read more

Ashley's Is A Complete Joke! Do not waste your time purchasing from this joke of a retailer. My parent and I in late December 2020 purchased a bench, a rug and a sofa from the location in Plano, TX. Ashley's agent Eathan was very helpful but has since just totally fallen down on the job. We were scheduled for delivery in the 20th of January. Okay, that seems a ways but Ashley's is not the primary seller, they are a reseller and dependent upon smaller manufacturers getting product to them. Those smaller manufacturers are being affected by Corona and are behind, I get it. But now my order has been rescheduled for delivery for the fourth time - January 20, February 5, February 11 now February 18 and I have absolutely zero confidence that they will make this date. Oh and Eathan....we went to the location in Plano, TX and spoke with the store manager who called Eathen over and gave him a note with our information instructing him to follow up with us. To date, some two weeks later, we have yet to receive a phone call or text from Eathan or anyone else about our delayed items. I've even emailed Ashley's customer service after they responded to my first Facebook posting and have gotten little beyond a canned email response. This is what doesn't sit well with me, the complete and utter lack of communication. Not so much as a phone call to let me know my items cannot be delivered on the appointed day because they are delayed. If your suppliers are having trouble then be honest to your customers at the time they make a purchase, don't give them a date and then let that date slide and slide. I've communicated more with Ashley's then they have with me and frankly it is disgusting how bad and unprofessional they have been treating me with a blow off attitude. Take your business elsewhere and save yourself the frustration. There are many other places to, many less expensive and who have product in stock ready for immediate delivery. This has has nothing to due with safety, social distancing or COVID-19. I was promised my delivery on 10-2-2020. My delivery again was canceled with no notice from Ashley Furniture, now mind this has been the 6-7 cancelation in the last couple of months. I have made several trips to the location on 75 in Plano, Texas and the managers just give me the blow off "We will schedule your delivery and assure you the delivery will arrive on the date they just push a button if not management will provided some type of compensation". Since I did not receive my delivery on 10-2-2020 for the 6-7 time, no one remembers the conversation of compensation. They will get back with me silence. I must be the stupid one!! I will never make another purchase from AF, my business will go to NBF. This is terrible I can see if I order a full bedroom set, this item is a bed rails made out of wood. This is not acceptable, leave a message for the store manager no return call, assistant manager no response. I wish I could provide a 0 rating. read more

We went to this store to buy a small table in January of this year and found one that would fit in our location. Ordered it and when it came in it was damaged so I took it to the store and they graciously apologized and asked if I wanted to cancel or reorder it which we decided to reorder. Due to the COVID event we were told the table would not be in until May 6th, which we weren't excited about but decided not to cancel and waited for them to call us. Well they never called and when I followed up they told me I had to drive to the warehouse (about an hour away) and pick it up (they previously shipped the damaged table to the Plano store where I picked it up) Ok, so I take a Saturday and drive down to the warehouse where I registered and the girl at the window says they will call me to come to the dock when it's ready.... after waiting an hour a gentleman comes to my vehicle in the parking lot and asks if I am so and so and that their warehouse computer is down and they can't pull any items but said it could come up at any time and wanted to know if I would wait. Well being that my home is an hour away I didn't want to make another trip to the warehouse so I decided to stay and wait. Another hour and a half later still no table, yet there were other customers picking up their merchandise so apparently their order system was working as these folks came AFTER I was already there. So I came back home and called their customer service number in I believe El Paso and explained the situation to which the girl couldn't have cared less. So I cancelled the order and said just refund my money and she said she had to go to her manager. When she came back she said we'll deliver it to your home for free next week again to which I said no thanks just refund the money. Two weeks later I called to follow up on the refund and another girl who was helpful said that it was waiting for me to decide whether or not I wanted delivery, to which I told her I asked the previous girl for a refund, again she went to her manager and asked if I wanted the table delivered, and I explained that we went to Nebraska Furniture Mart (much better selection) and had already bought a new table and please just refund my money, she said it would take a couple days and it would appear on my statement. Well now it's June 3rd, two more weeks after that conversation and guess what....You got it no refund! In times like these where businesses are screaming for customers and relief you would think their customer service would be on the ball but this company really doesn't care.... Well they can keep their low end merchandise as we will never venture into another one of their stores again and I still have to follow up with them about my refund.....Steer clear from Ashley Furniture read more

I gave this store 1 star because apparently that is the lowest possible score. I purchased a sofa here several years ago, had it delivered and had no problems. However last week I purchased two end tables. I was told it would take approximately 14 days to receive them. Unfortunately the salesperson said the warehouse was in Grand Prairie and that we would have to pick them up there. Not such a bad drive (from Plano) so I made the purchase. Last Saturday (1.2.10) they called and said the tables were in. We got incorrect directions by a longshot. . . . As we entered Fort Worth we decided to pull over and try to get correct directions. Got another set of directions from another person (WRONG AGAIN! - CALLED AGAIN!). The third set of directions were correct (unbelievably). We pulled up to see about 30 people waiting OUTSIDE and very few open parking spaces. I took my paperwork in the office to discover about 30 more people waiting INSIDE to pick up merchandise. The CSR asked me if I had filled out my paperwork. I handed her my paperwork. Well apparently you have to fill out an entirely different set of paperwork to pick up your purchase. I asked her how long the wait was and she informed me from 45 minutes to an hour. At this point (after driving for about 2 hours and getting into a huge fight [due to the incorrect direction situation and chaos finding the place] with the person that was kind enough to let me use her truck - and go along for the ride) I told the CSR to just cancel my order. Well, of course they couldn't do that. I was told that I would have to go back to the store at which I purchased the merchandise to cancel my order. So, after wasting half a day we drive back to the Plano Store to cancel the order. It was here that the CSR manager told me that there is a 30% cancellation fee, in my case ~$70.00. No one from management will return my calls so I guess I'm out $70. A pricey lesson, but it could have been worse. So, if you enjoy being treated as if you are in a herd of cattle (at warehouse and store), finding no satisfaction with customer service and paying 30 percent for something you cancel I would recommend this store. I'm just glad I didn't make a larger purchase. It is my opinion that Ashley is trying to get by with fewer employees to service more customers to increase their profit margin. Reminiscent of being in a busy grocery store with 1 checkout lane open. Oh, yeah, if you don't have a GPS don't rely on the person at the other end of the phone for directions, at least correct ones, that is, Mapquest it! The customer service here is deplorable! I went here to find a recliner. Sales Lady approached me, I told her what I was looking for and pointed me in the direction.....Now, first things first....it was slow and sales people were just relaxing on the sofas screwing around on their phones...not a good appearance. When I made a decision I went to find the sales lady. I found her (it appeared she was talking to friends I think) and lead her to the chair I wanted. I asked about if I can pick up there or if it has to be delivered...She said delivery only and I asked if there was a fee involved.....Here is where it gets strange- Right after I asked her, she told me the fee and then asked me for my name and # and that she will call me if they have a sale on a Saturday.....First off, I didn't ask about a sale and I didn't even attempt to negotiate on the delivery.....she just lead me away to get my info and send me on my way! I had $500 in my pocket ready to spend! She didn't even try to sell me....I took that as an insult and left a bit confused. Oh well, I'll just go to another store.....I have been in sales for 10 years now (includes selling cars for a few) and I have never had this happen before. read more

Sales Person promised two weeks and even checked the computer to make sure the items were available for a two week delivery. I had planned for friends to be in town and to use the sleeper couch I bought through Ashley Furniture. Looks like I'll have to get them a hotel room and not have them over since I will not have any furniture. Looks like this is typical of them, so hope everyone else plans accordingly. read more

Worst customer service ever, they dont know their job, the accounting team are totally incompetent and their sales people are very pushy, they stick with you like glue when you walk in to store , really annoying and they try to push you buying more furnitures /bigger quantity in order to get higher commission, terrible store, I will never ever deal with them, I do not recommend it. read more
