Products looked good and we found what we wanted but the delivery experience and communication was terrible. Twenty minutes before the scheduled delivery Ashley called to say it would be delivered five days later because "someone called in sick". When we objected, the response was "call the store". We called the store and the store manager stated she would try to get the delivery done the next day or the day after that. Never heard from her again. We tried many times to call the store. They would not answer the phone or the call went to a call center where they stated they could not do anything. On day three we went to the store and spoke to the manager. She stated that she had nothing to do with delivery and that it was a third party operation that she did not control. Our experience with the Ashley Home Store on Tomahawk Island Drive in Portland was overall good, excellent service, on time delivery, etc. However, the experience was marred by what happened when one of the delivered chairs was defective and we tried to get that rectified. Multiple calls to customer service, with long wait times for a response, and our having sent a photo of the damaged chair twice, resulted in delayed action, and finally the insistence that they send their own technician to see whether the chair could be repaired, when it should have been simply replaced without delay. When the technician finally came after a further two week delay, he confirmed that the chair could not be repaired, and we would have to wait for a new chair leg to be delivered from the company. He took a photo of the damaged leg himself, after we had twice sent in the photos we took. When the new leg was delivered the repairman did come immediately to ensure it was installed properly. The company policy resulted in a frustrating delay for us and our negative impression of the company that resisted simply replacing a defective chair. read more

This quite possibly was one of the worst experiences EVER. I am moving into a new apartment and was trying to buy a bed frame, dresser, nightstand and sofa. Not a small purchase. The first day I went into the store, the sales rep I dealt with couldn't do ANYTHING without the help of the manager... NOTHING. After TWO HOURS of being in the store and being told my furniture would be delivered on a specific date, come to find out, she messed up again and it wouldn't be able to be delivered until 2 weeks out!! (This was about the 4th screw up). At this point it was just laughable, I had to leave. Not to mention she tried 3 times to sell me the extended warranty on my couch that I told her I didn't need.... She even went to get the manager so he can try and sell it to me. The person I was with we were looking at each other in shock throughout this entire experience. The next day I came in and got everything sorted out with a different sales rep. Come time for delivery - The day it was supposed to be delivered (between 3-7pm) I was at my new place at 2:30pm waiting the whole time. I finally called in at 5:15 and they said the driver was there at 4:45pm and called me but it was "busy" (clearly he dialed the wrong phone number because I'm on a cell phone). No attempt to text me or anything. Then they couldn't even get ahold of their own driver to see if he could turn around and drop it off. They rescheduled delivery for the next day so I slept on my mattress on the floor. Was on hold trying to figure this out for a whole hour throughout this process. Next day - they deliver my furniture but the driver tells me that it was listed as a threshold delivery but I PAID THEM TO ASSEMBLE IT. After another 20 minutes on hold they confirmed they are supposed to assemble it and did so. Guess what, the drawers were delivered without the tracks so they couldn't install them. He told me that Ashley's would be contacting me by 5pm and if they don't then call in myself. They didn't reach out. When I called, the warehouse had no idea that the furniture was even delivered and had no record of any missing parts or what happened. HOW!?!?!? This has wasted so much time over the past few weeks for me it is unacceptable. Now I have to wait for the tracks to be delivered, then call Ashley's and wait for someone to come out to install them. AGAIN, more time away from my day. This is by far the most unpleasant experience I have had purchasing anything, ever. They were VERY unorganized. He was very knowledgeable with the products being sold as well as the programs they had so that we would be able to purchase these items easily. They are by far the worst place we have ever bought anything from.. We bought a sofa set with tables, a carpet, and throw.. We had the worst experience with the delivery guys ever.. They text that they'd come at 8:30 and came at 11am.. and when I asked if they'd be able to help me move out one of the couches to make room for the new one they said they couldn't and watched Mr struggle with the 2nd big couch for 15mins and left.. And when I called the corporate office they said they left because we weren't ready.. I went off on them saying how does one leave after 15min of watching me struggle without saying something like if you're not ready we have to go, or we will leave because we have other drop offs or they were going for a drink or whatever.. They said nothing and left.. And when I threatened to cancel the order that's when they came back.. Also, important detail I left out.. We postponed our delivery 2x because we wanted all of our items sent to us all at the same time and they still somehow managed to still not deliver our carpet the same day.. And from all the commotion that happened that day they never gave us the throw and they submitted the order as if we received it.. Obviously I called and complained and they did nothing about.. The only thing that was revealed to me was that our sales guy pretty much lied to us and screwed by telling us he will give us free 3 year coverage and charges us the full price for it and for the items with no discount.. My mother and I were furious to the point of my mom getting chest pains and went into the hospital and we have been in there for over 40 days now.. First thing . I purchased a recliner chair the first week of January and I didn't get it until last week in March. By the way its 1200 dollar recliner. Then I get the chair ,they delivered it and the second day the stitching started unraveling. I called customer service 5 times over a weeks time to get help and it's the middle of April and I haven't gotten help yet. One came to help with this chair yet. 1200 dollar chair remember. Next thing is this chair is the worst most uncomfortable chair I've ever sit in. It's hard, feel like the metal is poking you I'm your lower back when sitting in it and the stitching is coming apart. The worst thing about this whole situation is that no one I talked to from customer service ,to the store where I purchased it from dont seem like they want to help . They talk a good game to make the sale then sell you this junk and kick you in your butt after that. This is a damn shame and I'm highly disappointed. I advise no one to shop at this company again. The furniture is over priced and they have the worst customer service ever. These people dont care about customer service and the merchandise is garbage. Absolutely horrible experience with service department. After one month of use one of our nightstand drawers has broken. We had to wait 2 weeks for a technician to come out just to tell us he could not repair it. We were supposed to receive a call from service on Monday to arrange for replacement. No call was received. I called on Thursday and arranged for delivery of a new nightstand for Sunday Nov 17. On Friday Nov 15, I received a call stating my delivery date was changed to Monday Nov 18. That is not enough notice to arrange for a day off from work. At this point, I was now working with Kathy Ross. Kathy arranged for the new nightstand to be delivered to a store 30 miles away so we could exchange the nightstands there. This was supposed to happen on Wednesday Nov 20. As of today, Nov 23, this has not occurred. Spoke with Ms Jefferson today. She stated there were no nightstands in the warehouse and none available from the vendor. I called and spoke with Cassandra, store manager. She stated there were 25 nightstands available in the warehouse. We also had many problems with our initial delivery. As others have said, if I could give this a 0 rating I would. Due to my bad experience I will never buy anything from Ashley Furniture again. My husband and I purchased furniture from Ashley Homestore on December 22, 2019. We had waited years to buy a good set of living room furniture and were excited to get what we thought were quality loveseat power recliners. These were supposedly 50% off, which in doing further research I found the sales price to be higher than the actual regular price. We also bought a warranty that is supposed to cover anything that happens to the furniture. The loveseats were delivered on December 30 as promised. The delivery men assembled them in good time. A few days later my husband noticed one recliner on each loveseat was not working. I called customer service and a technician came out and found the power had not been hooked up. Ok, so far so good. A few days after that I noticed when the chairs are reclined there is a big gap between the seat and back cushions, at least 4 inches. It makes sitting on them very uncomfortable. I also had one of the chairs I'd reclined suddenly go back further accompanied by a clunking noise. I pressed the button to go back up and there were three more clunking noises. It has not recurred but definitely not normal. I called customer service again and they sent out the same technician as before. I explained about the clunking noises and the gaps. He didn't find anything wrong with the recliner making the clunking noise and he said other customers have asked him about the gap. I asked him why the issue had not been addressed since others had also reported it. He didn't have an answer and told me to just adjust the lumbar support. I was not happy at this point. He said he could put more stuffing in the chair if I wanted. I told him no I wouldn't do anything that could void the warranty. It seemed a rather strange way to fix the problem and not at all a viable repair. He took pictures and left. At this point I was, and still am, frustrated and upset. The furniture we'd been so excited to buy and thought was good quality was turning out to be anything but. I tried calling our salesman using the cell phone number on his card. Turns out that number is not in service. I called customer service again and told them I wasn't happy with the loveseats and did not find the technician's resolution acceptable. I told her we wanted to exchange them for different furniture or to get a refund. I was told Ashley Furniture did not have a return policy and that it was stated in the terms and conditions. I have never dealt with a large company who had no return policy. I was told I would have to call the corporate office. The customer service rep gave me a phone number which turned out to be a bad number. I found the contact info online but when I called it I got routed through numerous queue lines but was not able to talk to an actual person. We have also discovered the warranty we purchased doesn't really cover much of anything. I went online to see what reviews of the company said. I was surprised by how many bad reviews I saw across the country. Some mirrored our experience almost exactly. I cannot understand how this company stays in business when so many people have had such bad experiences. At this point we are stuck with furniture we aren't happy with. Furniture that has some issues that the company will not address properly. I couldn't find a customer hotline for customers to call either. We feel stuck and after reading so many bad reviews with our same issues I would think they are all feeling stuck too. The service for buying was decent. Unfortunately, the service for returns and refunds is pathetic. Ordered on 12/27/20 was told delivery would be 2/8/21; understood due to Covid. I canceled the order due to delivery mixup on 02/10/21. Was told it would be 48 hrs before I could cancel because the merchandise was still on the truck. I went to the store 2/25/21 to follow up on my refund only to be told the person who canceled the order was supposed to give me a case number and that after given a case number it would go through the centralized office for review and then I would get my refund. I called the centralized yesterday leaving a message, 3 times today 2/26/21 and no one has gotten back to me. Called the store and got customer service in another location who could not give me any answers saying that the centralized office could get back to me next Wednesday because they are closed on the weekend. I advised her today is Friday and I have already left 3 messages, do they not work on Friday? I am beyond annoyed. I got rid of my old sofa in January in preparation for my new furniture and not only do I not have furniture thanks to their incompetence, I can't even get my money back, again due to their incompetence. I was given the email address of the person at the top (because they couldn't give me his number) I emailed him on 2/10/21 and have yet to hear back from him. UNBELIEVABLE!! read more

I was in looking for a bed and a salesman was helping a couple... No problem except he totally ignored me. He could have said let me call someone to help you but did not. I finally asked someone for help. A manager came out and gave a great presentation on the beds. I ordered a sealy queen and an adjustable platform. I was told both would be ready for pickup the following Wednesday. Great I thought I paid someone to get my items only to discover the platform was not in stock even though I was told it was. Because it was their error and I already paid someone for pick up I felt they should deliver the platform. First I called the delivery option and they said they would deliver it and call me on Monday but they never called. When I called back I explained the dilemma to sales reps and he said a manager would call me back. Guess what two days passes no call and no idea if my platform was even at the warehouse. In October 2018, my friend and I ordered some furniture from Fiesta Trails Ashley Furniture in San Antonio. Her's was a bedroom set and I ordered a sofa and end table. We were moving in February and our new address was unknown at that point. We told the sales person to deliver our orders together on the same date. We contacted our salesperson Jan 1 and 2 and told her our new address and we needed our furniture delivered on Feb 8. We have had nothing but chaos from her and the delivery area. First they told us my friend's bedroom set would not be delivered until the following week. Then, the day before my delivery, I was told the end chair to my sofa would not be included in the delivery. When I spoke with the delivery person, he said he would contact Ashley and it would be delivered Feb 14. I never got a confirmation text, so I called and they didn't even have it on the list to be delivered. Now I won't get it until Feb 15. I don't know where to start, This furniture company has been nothing but problems problems problems! I bought furniture for my daughter's bedroom and the paint has came off her desk, dresser and night stand. I called waited on the phone which no one ever answers. I had to go Into the store to talk to a rep. About the situation the customer service agent. Scheduled for a technician to come out which the rep came to the wrong apartment. I had moved to another building the rep. Forgot to put into the computer I moved and change the address. The customer service rep on the phone said since I moved they couldn't help me and didn't bother to send the technician to my other apartment that was In the same apartment complex. Again I had to travel to the store to speak to the same rep which she scheduled another appointment for a technician to come out again. The technician came after reviewing my daughter's furniture he stated it was a manufacturer defect and Ashley furniture will contact me within 24 to 48 hours. Well no one reached out to me. I had to call Ashley a week later to speak to a Chris that stated the technician said it was water damage and referred me to another number to call, I said to the rep. That is not what the technician told me when he finished assessing my daughter's furniture. The Chris guy then said well this is what was put into the notes. Chris attitude was not concerned nor did he care about my situation. I will NEVER EVER buy furniture from this company again. It's been since June 2020 when first contacting Ashley furniture of my issue. Now it's November and my daughter's furniture has not been taken care of. Absolutely would not buy anything from Ashley Furniture (Willowbrook/Houston) ever again! From the high pressure sales and lies that the sales person tells... Tommy Barkley, to the failed deliveries, twice now, of furniture that was "in stock" when I bought it, to be delivered by Thanksgiving and ordered 5 weeks in advance. You would think you could get "in stock" furniture in 5 weeks! To future promises to get it by December 12 now. Do not let them tell you it's the pandemic, because they did this to me last year and it took more than 7 weeks to get furniture that the same sales person told me was "in stock. ". Then when they don't contact me or update me , I called customer service and waited 35 minutes until someone got on to tell me it's delayed again. The sales person, Tommy Barkley, will not get back with you once the sale is done, because they really don't care about a customer! The delivery took forever, primarily because they were calling an hold home phone number which no longer existed.. meanwhile they had my cellphone on file. After several complaints and giving them the correct number they still did not call they just showed up and when it arrived it was damaged in the inseam.. I did not see it on inspection because it was deep in the inseam so I signed for the delivery.. after signing I glanced and saw a slight detachment.. when bought to the guys attention.. it was oh well now you gotta call customer care.. you already signed..I held 15 minutes or longer each time I was either kicked out or put on hold or hung up on. After 4 days I finally reached a manager, Amanda who was rude and didn't care.. she said there was a no return policy so they will send someone out in 2 weeks to repair it. Very frustrated with this store. We have used them in the past and purchased a couch with a warranty that says we would get our money back in three years if we did not use their cleaning services. When we came back to try to redeem our warranty refund they claimed that it was store credit only, when we specifically remember asking them this question when we first purchased and they clarified that yes it would be our money back. We went ahead and purchased another piece of furniture and used the store credit but they have been very difficult to deal with. The store location does not answer their phone so the only way we can contact them is to call the customer service line each time and there is a minimum wait time of 30 minutes every time we call. The lady on the customer service line was very kind but when I explained to her that the store never answers the phone she said they were aware that none of the store locations answer the phone and did not know what to do about that. My sales people Kyra Davis and Isabell Stokes were so friendly when I was picking out furniture but I learned quickly that they misled me. I was living in a house with no furniture and they knew this and they told me my furniture will be delivered in two weeks. I am still waiting for my furniture with an estimated date of 12 weeks away. They keep using Covid as an excuse, but the pandemic is no excuse for being rude, misleading and ignoring the customer. They don't answer their phones. I went all the way back to the store to talk to someone and the manager didn't care one bit. Horrible customer service. Stated she heard I was told there could be delays. I would give them ZERO stars if it were allowed. We initially got a good price on the electric recliner sofa and electric recliner chair. Then were where told it could not be delivered for a full month. Just before the delivery date we got a call that the delivery had been rescheduled. This happened to more times. After many phone calls and being lied to, we were promised some remuneration. This came in form of Ashley "gift cards" for half of the promised amount. Not likely to ever buy anything there again so, these cards are useless. It's hard to believe that whatever we bought with the gift cards would be delivered anyway. After 2 1/2 months the electric recliner sofa and electric recliner chair arrived! Guess what? The power supply for the electric recliner sofa was not shipped with the sofa!. After more calls to corporate, being lied to, being hung up on, told "that's not our department I'll transfer you" and then disconnected, we finally got confirmation of the power supply shipment. It took another 10 days to get it. Rather than wait another 3 months for their "tech" to come install it we did ourselves. Let me tell you, it wasn't rocket science. In my opinion Ashley Furniture is just a 1950's furniture operation with a new coat of paint.Either that or their entire business operation is broken. They had our money and where making interest on it while we had no furniture for 3 months. Misinformation and lies all the way around. Will never buy from them again. read more

Me and my spouse purchased furniture from Ashley furniture around last year of 2019 in October into which we were thrilled to receive out Reidshire set. Minor things started happening to the furniture itch as threading coming undone, legs of sofa change color, siding of chase coming undone, footboard of bed chipping and it hasn't been a year. I called customer service due to us being in the one year window with out furniture and with the the help of a rep they got the parts purchased and stated that someone would be reaching out to schedule a tech to come fix the furniture. One month passes by and I call in about 3 times just to hear the same tune over and over "someone will be reaching out to schedule your tech to stop in". It's going on 2 MONTHS and still no phone call from anyone about our furniture. At this point we are done with Ashley's Furniture! They didn't take their time with helping us with purchasing the furniture but they definitely are with fixing it. The customer service is HORRIBLE. They tell you one thing and have you waiting like things will get done when it won't. They really ruined our first time buying experience with furniture. I rate them -0 stars but the way the website is set up I have to put 1! read more

Where to begin... We ordered a large section in early May and were told upon sale (payment made in full up front) that our sectional would take about six weeks. We received a text in mid July that our sectional was ready for pickup. We called the store and learned quickly that it doesn't matter what time you call or how long you sit on hold, you won't talk to anyone. So we went in person to the store to see if we could switch to delivery. We were then informed our items were not available and would not be ready for three more weeks. When we asked why we had received a text stating our items were ready when they weren't, we were simply told "we don't know". Several weeks go by and we receive our second text message stating our items are ready and to click a link to schedule delivery. We did so. We moved our old furniture out and took off work in order to be there for delivery. No one showed. We attempted, in vain, to contact the store by phone. When we couldn't get through, as usual, we drove to the store where we were told that our items would not be available until mid September. At this point we were told by the STORE MANAGER that we were being upgraded to the "war room" and would receive a response from them in 48 hrs. This was on a Friday. By Tuesday of the following week, when we had unsurprisingly heard nothing, we returned to the store yet again. At this point we were told that some of our items were in a warehouse in Chicago and that the store was working with other warehouses to find the pieces we needed to get us the sectional as quickly as possible. We were also told that the "war room" was the incorrect protocol. We attempted to contact corporate but after sitting on hold for 40+ minutes and being sent to voicemail, we left a message, which was never returned. On Thursday we returned to the store after receiving no update on our order. This time we were essentially told that there was no one in the store who could help us and that our items were showing they would be delayed until mid October. After an hour of trying to get through to Corporate we were finally able to speak to a representative who was able to tell us exactly this: there are delays on the items, they don't know where they are or when they will be ready, they have no idea what the "war room" is or why we were told that, there is a 10% fee if we decide to cancel our order. In addition, some pieces are now showing they may not be available until November...SIX MONTHS after we ordered this sectional. Every single person we talk to acts like they have no idea what we are talking about, they can't answer our questions and they promise updates, which never come, they refuse to sell us the floor model although it doesn't seem that it would be doing them any good in their showroom since evidently they can't produce it. We understand that the pandemic has created significant delays for some industries, but this is absolutely ridiculous. read more

I bought a counter height table and four chairs ion 05/22/2015, in buy those items was advise to buy warranty, sale man said that if you didn't use the warranty you could get it back r get store credit.so purchase the warranty. Do I called in April 2020 to find out . Was told that yes I was owe the credit for me to go in the store and tell them about store credit. I did go into store was told to call on 5/22/2020. So I did n again was told to go to store n tell them I had store credit. I did not go into store until 07/03/2020 n found some comforters two. When I was able to get some one to help me. I was told no money had been transferred, that had to wait 48 hours. Which I did, my husband went in had to stand around for 30 minutes before he could get assistance. Again was told a manager had to email headquarters. So we waited no call or email send. My husband went in again and the repeat of the time before. I went again due to no one answering phone at the store. Again nothing. Went into the store again and was told had to fill out paperwork n that a manager would call me. Nothing. Went into the store again, was told no one was doing anything, so filled out paperwork again. Finally I got answer from the customer service line. Spoke to very nice person who said she would email some one in South Park Meadows in Austin TX. Some lady called n now they are telling me that I have to buy five hundred in order to get my store credit. This people are terrible. Don't buy from this people. Believe everything the review say. So far i'm extremely unpleased with the service. I purchased a sectional and ottoman back beginning to mid June 2020 from the store in Paris TX. I was pleased with the staff up until i left, that's when the fun started. I was told i would be updated weekly on the status of my order. That has yet to happen. I had decided to do the 0% financing since it was a big purchase. Now i'm paying for a couch that i don't have and may never receive. Every time i call the store the date gets pushed back further, i started at 2 to 4 weeks now im looking at 3 months or more. At this point im ready to cancel my order all together and go look for another sectional. Im sure i can find plenty in the 3k range which is what i paid for this one. I will start this by saying they have great furniture and our salesman was really nice. I have learned though, if you are looking in their store CHECK ONLINE before you purchase. I spent quite a bit of money in the store only to find out the items that I purchased were cheaper online. I did get the difference back but that required an additional trip to the store because they refused to process the refund over the phone. However, the delivery process has been the most frustrating process ever. I originally ordered a couch, recliner and coffee table. The day of the delivery the coffee table did not show up. It took another week for it to arrive. When visiting the store, we found a dining room table and chair set that we liked ($1899 in store) but opted to purchase it online instead because it was roughly $1000 WITH shipping (that's almost DOUBLE had we purchased it in the store). The chairs were all shipped to us, but the table was set up to be delivered (we did not have a choice in this, it was automatic). The day before it was set to be delivered I got a call telling me they needed me to call them back to reschedule. I literally sat on the phone for 45 minutes being transferred to FIVE different people that could not help me. Nobody knew why it was being rescheduled or WHEN it would be rescheduled. The last person I spoke with actually told me she could see that there were plenty of them in stock at the warehouse. I am hosting a party at my house this weekend and have to have this table. I already got rid of my other table so there would be room for the new one. I now have an empty dining room with no information as to when the table I've already paid for is going to arrive. It's completely unacceptable- the money was taken from my account a week ago. They also will not allow you to just pick up your items- they force you to pay $200 in delivery charges for their "white glove service". Which at this point, is laughable. Purchased a living room set in March,sofa , coffee table , two end tables, and of course all the little accessories that come with it. Loved everything about the set until I tried to move my coffee table and noticed it was a bit wabbly, no problem I will just tighten it. Got under it and noticed it has a crack where the leg fastens to table top and the screws do not tighten. I took my pictures and went down to Ashley Furniture in Montclair California where I purchased the furniture. They opened up a claim and said they would have a technichian come out and take a look. Apparently they sell you broken furniture that they damage during assembly but still deliver and you have to spend endless hours and phone calls dealing with this problem. All I wanted was a NEW table to replace the broken one they gave me, but it doesn't work that way. Ashley Furniture is NOT about the customer at all. You must play their game and jump through the hoops. Iam on my third technichian appt. First appt I told tech I wanted a new table not a broken one so he left and said he would relay the msg. Appt number two, I had to go to work so my son was present during that one, the tech said he didn't see anything. Tech number three will be coming on he 12th of August and you can bet I will be here. Ashley Furniture claims they have such great value and service. There is NO value in buying broken furniture especially at this time when money is tight. Iam a single parent and work six days a week, extra money does not come easy. Buyer beware!! check every nut, bolt, zipper, cushion.....everything !! I purchased a small storage bench on line as a Mother's Day present. Due to Covid, I understood when it didn't arrive by Mother's Day as originally scheduled. However, once it didn't arrive by the end of the month, I reached out to customer service. I called and left several messages with NO response. I also tried many times to reach out via email...NO response. I finally was able to get an actual person via the chat feature on their website. They informed me that my item had been "lost", so they ordered another one and said my mother would receive it within 5-7 business days. OK. No problem. By Father's Day, still no item. Again, my multiple inquisitions went ignored. Finally by July 8th (two months later) I was able to get a person online who informed that "I had been given wrong information" regarding my item and she couldn't tell me when or even IF my mother was ever going to receive her bench. There were no apologies. No attempts to help me further. Just a kinda "Can't help ya" response. Needless to say, I cancelled the mysteriously lost order and asked for my money back. They at least made sure I got that within a week. read more

$800 out of my pocket, waited a month and never got a delivery notice or call. Called them, said they couldn't even ship it for another 3 weeks. Refund would take 10 days, guess what. Taking my money back, waiting for it to get to my account, going to another store where it can be delivered within a week. Will still have a new couch before they could get it to us. Terrible delivery times, excessive costs, hangs up when you call, and even worse policies for delivery, and returns. read more

My wife and I purchased a bedroom set from the Deerfield Town Center (Mason), OH location in January 2020. The delivery had been set back several times prior to COVID-19 due to several pieces being damaged or missing. When we finally received our set in March, the delivery staff did not fully assemble the set, pieces were still missing, and the staff left the items in our home in a way that blocked our view of damage on the pieces. The store gave us difficulty about wanting to have the items replaced. We were understanding with the replacement being delayed in the spring due to the pandemic, however, now that stores are open, they continue to push back our delivery date. The set is now pushed out for a delivery date in August. We spoke with the GM, who stated they could only compensate us 10% off the purchase or provide us a $175 gift card. When asked if there was anything more he could do, it was evident he was not willing to work with us and ended the call. This has been a poor customer service experience from the start with the sales person to now working with store management. read more

If there were a way to rate a negative number, I would do that. Placed an order for new bedroom furniture before Covid. My son's have been sleeping on the floor for 6 months waiting. This company advertises Expert concierges but in actuality they use whoever takes the job, regardless of their ability AND forces the consumer to pay for it..and no option to opt out. This is a horrible company for follow up and customer service. The company took the money but did not deliver until 6mths later. Our sons slept on the FLOOR for 6mths. We are NOT rich people who could just go out and spend another $1300.00 on more furniture. I sent dozens, and dozens of emails, calls AND when the crew came today to set up, (although they were very polite) they used the original incomplete set of furniture and each box bed has a backwards side rail with the unfinished edge showing. New complete sets were on their truck. The expectation was to replace ALL that was previously delivered! Why was this NOT communicated to the concierges?Why are we expected to tell YOUR concierges what to do? We have no more fight..just purely disgusted and defeated that we, ESPECIALLY our children were treated this way. If you check around most reputable furniture stores offer a 90 Day or more sleep guarantee satisfaction, Ashley has no guarantee in fact they do not even give you one day. The worst customer service I've ever experienced . It took 2 months receive partial delivery of my order . They refuse to return it . The quality is very low . I spent 5500 . Charged for delivery . Sold me a dining room set . On showroom had a bench that's y I bought it . After delivery I found out it doesn't come w bench and that was only for show? Hello that's y I bought it I wanted the bench . Now they want me pay extra for it . And won't return it. I still haven't received my full order they keep pushing it out claiming delays . again don't go here to many quality furniture stores . The quality of the furniture can't be good if you pay in advance and they don't do returns . They are a complete scam . Claiming the largest furniture manufacturer in country . We went in to the Springfield , OR store to check on some reclining love-seats we had seen on their website on sale for Memorial Weekend. When we asked about the first we wanted to see, "we don't have one of those on the floor", was the reply. In-store I went to their website to see if there was another comparable one to view. When I asked about this other model, the reply was, "that one is not on the floor, Ashley makes a lot of different models, you can't expect all of them to be out". How interesting that the two models, ones that are most affordable, are not displayed. This experience made me feel like I was at an old time used car lot. We have a sofa we previously bought at Ashley that we love. We decided to purchase the protection plan when we were told it guarded against pet damage. Not so, it does not include damage from beaks, claws, and teeth (pet damage, in other words) - even though this was the emphasis the salesperson used to sucker us into buying this add on. Ashely is sucks. The reason I give one star is because I have to, otherwise I will give nothing. We spent $6000 at their store. The manager had really different attitude after we spent our money and was always trying to make us buy more, she talked too much without any points, it was kind of annoying and loud. The women works at the front desk kept making mistakes on the bill, the receipt became massy, therefore she had to made a new one. I thought I were done with the most worst part until I got the first delivery. I bought the furniture on 7/3 and they made two appointments for delivery on 7/18 and 7/25, I already felt it takes for a while to get them all. Then after 25th, I still have not get my sofa and tables, I called the customer serves and they told me they made another appointment on 8/2 and no one told me about this at all until I called. Now is 8/2, I am so surprise I still need to wait my rug to come, I just called and they told me call them back next week to check. IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE ZERO STARS I WOULD. Let me walk you through the month and a half of torture with this "company". I place an order online late March for a couch! Within 24 hours I receive a call from the warehouse informing me that we had two orders heading to our address and that they wanted to confirm that was correct. I try to explain I ordered a couch, but the person from the warehouse directed me to the online department to resolve the confusion. I THEN spend over an hour trying to get ahold of someone to discuss the issue and when I FINALLY do they tell me I ordered a set and that's why the warehouse told me that. I said, ok fine that's fine. I explain to the women on the phone that I wanted to confirm that my order was FINE and that everything was going to be fine for delivery because I was not about to receive an order that was wrong. She reassured me that everything was fine. 48 hours after placing my order online I receive 3 different phone calls confirming my order for delivery. I explain that I have confirmed and that they don't need to keep calling. No one knew I had received previous phone call confirmations. (THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING) I THEN receive my order, take half a day to get my order inside my home to receive a phone call A WEEK LATER, that I have an item I didn't pay for? I speak to this women named Wendy, who is apparently the online manager. She was nothing BUT rude on the phone. Saying that online it says that it's one couch and not a set, AFTER HER STAFF REASSURED ME IT WAS A SET AND THAT THE ORDER WAS FINE. I try to explain to her the situation in which she wants nothing to do with. I then explain that I would be willing to make a deal for the second couch or set up for pick up. The call gets disconnected mid conversation and I spend almost two hours trying to get back a hold of her. I THEN SPEND two days after that calling to try to come to a solution. Her staff informed me that they were sending emails to Wendy and that she would get back to me. I then call and speak to a male who apologized for the poor service and assured me that if I heard nothing in 48 that the issue was resolved. Then we have people come to try to pick up the couch the next day, when we advised the company we wouldn't be home. The individuals who came to the house told their boss that it was because of COVID, HOWEVER that wasn't the case. I explained that it was because we had been trying to get in contact about the issue because we were willing to purchase the couch! The online call service then calls me and tells me that they said we wouldn't let them pick up the couch because of COVID. THREE WEEKS LATER- I receive a harassing voicemail that they are going to call law enforcement! I spend 2 hours of my day trying to contact corporate, I spoke to four individuals all of which were very confused about the situation. The women I spoke to from corporate even said she believeDthat Wendy was MISTAKEN. One of the online department workers COULD NOT believe what I had been going through. I finally get to corporate who send me to.... WENDY. Wendy lies on the phone saying she called me next day about the couch. (Believe it or not it gets better) While on the phone with Wendy I receive a call on the other line from a online staff member telling me that a pick up was scheduled for Tuesday WITHOUT EVEN speaking to me! This staff member was very sweet, the nicest person I spoke with! Informing me about something I had no idea of. THEN Wendy tells me that she sent people to my residence to pick up the couch TWICE! I was only aware of one time! Which means she send people without my permission or without speaking to me. Yesterday we finally were able to speak to someone to purchase the couch that we "didn't pay for" (which I was told was a set and was paid for). I RECEIVE A PHONE CALL TODAY THAT A DELIVERY IS SCHEDULED FOR MY ADDRESS. FOR ANOTHER COUCH! These people are insane. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE! read more
