This is nothing against the sales personnel but when we received our furniture the ottoman had a tear and still had red tape on it. Our TV stand drawer doesn't open and the back panel was falling off. I called the seevice center and was told because i didn't pay extra to have them unwrap the furniture i couldn't return it. I have to wait for them to come to try to repair it. So if you buy from them be prepared to pay their blackmail fee or you have to wait for weeks for them to come and decide if you get new or just a repair. read more

Paid for a complete living room set (sofa, love seat, three tables) Also paid $200 for their "white glove" delivery service. I was told I would be given a three hour delivery window which I was but that I would receive a phone call at least 30 minutes prior to arrival. Well, today was delivery day and this is what happened. 1) Was given literally 5 mins notice by a robocall before the truck arrived; 2) legs of all three tables were installed incorrectly and when I told them it was wrong, they argued with me that it was not. After a few minutes, they looked at the assembly instructions again and realized in fact they did screw up the assembly and had to re-assemble all three tables; 3) once they left, I noticed a bunch of trash they had left behind outside (styrofoam and plastic) blowing around in the street and my neighbors' yards. It took me a few minutes to chase all of it down; 4) I received an email survey right after the drivers left and I filled it out with the lowest possible score. I then received a phone call from one of their customer service leads about my responses. After discussing events with her, all she told me was that she would forward details to the warehouse manager. I asked if I could be refunded the $200 for the "white glove" service and was curtly told to call the store. This was our first, last and only purchase we will make from Ashley. Bought a purple mattress online less then a month ago. Within sleeping on it for that less than a month my lower back is killing me and my shoulder/arms go numb through the night. When I sit on the edge of the bed, the mattress sinks down to the boxspring, so there is no firmness to the edge of the bed and is already breaking down. I reached out to Ashley online for a refund so I can get a different mattress and they said I am sorry for your inconvenience but we dont except returns after they have been out of the box.. We finally decided to purchase a new living room set about 3 months ago. We found a leather one with controls to adjust head, lumbar, and feet. The one in the store was very comfortable. Unfortunately after delivery the problems started the same day. There is still after all this time no power cord for the chair, even with several requests. The sofas (we bought 2)are very stiff and uncomfortable. They "groan" even when just readjusting your position and "scream" when you use the controls. From day 2 we requested assistance but were given a kind of excuses. The one in the store is sat in more often, so doesn't feel the same.... Corporate has to ok reselect, but unfortunately takes forever to get Corporate to reply and managers won't talk to customers!!!! Well we purchased a bed 7 weeks ago and had our bed delivered on 02/04/2023 and the bed was damaged. I contacted the lady we bought our bed from and she said.that customer service Representative would reach out to us. Hands down the worst shopping experience I've had. Terrible!! I'm a returning customer and I have been shopping at Ahsley's for over 10 years. Today, I decided to take a visit and purchased a bedroom set for my mother. When I came back home and looked at the ASHLEY WEBSITE online and found out there is a huge difference in online price compared to store price and I realized that I had been misled, charged twice. I did some quick math and determined that they overcharged me by 799 dollars. We bought an Ashley leather?? power recliner. A little after 1 year, the color on the headrest area began to fade at the spot where my head rests. Now there is a big spot where the color is gone. I have tried numerous leather repair & recoloring products with no luck. Evidently it isn't real leather because the color will not absorb. I started leaving messages for Ashley 1 week after I received the first part. I left 3 messages. I never received a call back. I walked into a local store. They said they couldn't help I had to go back to the original store I purchased at. In the mean time I receive the Chase. It broke in the first week and was unusable. I drove to the Monroe Ga (2 hours away) since they did not answer the phones. The manager was crazy rude and said he was so tired of working for Ashley. They scheduled a tech to come out 3 weeks later. The tech was really kind and reinforced the broken piece. The break did not hold and it broke again in a few days. It took me another 3 weeks to get a tech out. The same tech. He added a 2x4. Which you could feel across your lower back when seated. He suggested we get it replaced as this was not a well made piece. I have reached out to Ashley 1 to 2 times a week (via messenger) asking for someone to replace or refund. I am told over and over. Someone will call back within 48 hours. I have this in writing. I have asked to speak to a sup or anyone that has the ability to order a new chase. I hear nothing. I am hoping by plastering this very negative statement that maybe someone will contact me and just refund my money and take this garbage to the dump. After 4+ months and 3 deliveries with damaged furniture with no assembly after paying for it, I finally assembled it myself. The agreement to purchase disallows a return due to dissatisfaction for any reason. The store screwed up the purchase and was no help in trying to correct it. The deliveries and distribution center are filled with incompetence. To be sure I am a long time customer of Ashley but that has now changed and I will never go back. There system of communication is set up to where the customer is stuck on hold waiting for a representative or email which is returned. When the sofa was finally delivered a major piece was missing, which was the middle piece. All we were told was that the comouter showed it was in stock. Never have I had such repeatedly poor and unacceptable customer service from a company when having a defect or missing part through THEIR system. Their system automatically hangs up on you after 20 minutes on hold and requires that you leave a message. I worked with a kind employee, Dawn, while looking for a bedroom set and mattresses. I decided not to get the bedroom set, but I did purchase the mattress, a foundation and a frame. I also paid the $119 delivery fee, but it was on backorder for a week because of the frame, and I could only be available for delivery on the weekends so I patiently waited another week. When the delivery driver showed up, he informed me that for sanitary purposes, he couldn't take my old mattress. I had 2 small spots. But whose mattress is perfect? Because THAT'S a only kind their taking. So I refused delivery. Idk what the $119 is for, if part isn't for disposal of the old one. But how many people have an 8 year old mattress without ever having a baby spit up, or having a water bottle leak? Idk anyone with a perfect mattress who is looking for a NEW ONE! I called to cancel my order, so 4 days, and 8, non answered phone calls, I eventually was told that I had to come in to cancel my order. So yes, 8 times I called, and on the 10th ring it hangs up. On 11-13-2021 we purchased a living room set from Ashley's Home Furniture in Springfield Oregon (sales order #900134360 & #900134370) We paid $2,367 up front for our living room set. The salesperson told us "8-12 weeks for delivery, but it never takes that long." We have recieved 2 of our 4 items that we purchased as a set. Our other 2 items were supposed to be delivered today 1-8-2022. We had no call or text, so I reached out to Ashley's myself wondering what time my Furniture would be here. They're response was 4-24-2022. Had they been up front and told me about their seemingly notorious delivery issues right away, it would have been a no brainer to get my living room set elsewhere. Not only did I cancel my plans to be here for the delivery that was supposed to take place, but a half of a year delivery time is not ok. I'd also like to say that there is a mandatory hefty delivery charge that you HAVE to pay. Free delivery is faster than this! We regretfully chose Ashley's home furniture to make our purchases for the Black Friday sales. Now we are completely burnt on the sale prices that every other furniture store had that week as we will now be looking for our furniture elsewhere! I will be asking for a refund as well as having them pick the first portion of our living room set that was delivered. I'm very disappointed in the lack of communication this company has as well as the nearly half a year delivery times. This should not be legal when your charging a mandatory 300 dollar delivery fee that the salesperson said "there was no way out of." Great selection, great prices, wonderful sales team, HORRIBLE Delivery Service. I requested an evening delivery (I don't want to take a day off work for a bed frame delivery!). All the texts, phone calls and delivery setups have been delegated for mornings. The scheduler recommended the weekend and that would help to get an evening delivery. I am on my 4th reply phone call, and get put on a "loop hold recording" for an average of 25min or more to take to a scheduler to get another hopeful delivery time where I can be available. I still DO NOT HAVE MY BEDFRAME, and will probably need to cancel my purchase. Their delivery system, has the most in-efficient use of employees I have every experienced! read more

After waiting on the line for an hour someone from customer service answered and redirected me to a different department. I waited another 30 minutes for them to tell me they don't do delivery in Indiana. I call the national number. I was directed to the local warehouse where I waited on the line for 45 minutes for them to tell me that they don't have my mom's information in the system. Truly amazing. The staff in Bluffton was sweet,polite and kind. Ordered furniture in July,said because of the pandemic would get it at the end of August. My wife paid in full with our debit which was probably taken from our account to Ashley before we even left the store. Beginning of September no call or email. So we call,get told middle September. End of September no call or email. So we call (see where this is going) get told middle of October, again no call or email. So we call get told END OF DECEMBER. Canceled order on the 7th still have not gotten our money back. Go on pinterest and learn to make the furniture yourself it is faster and cheaper. We purchased four barstools from Ahsley's in Bryant, Arkansas, last year. One of the four grew unsecure and began to emit a metallic creaking. I was ripped off with the online price $150 cheaper than the deal the frigging salesman gave me from $1200 to $770 thought he was doing me a favor. when i looked online to show my daughter it was $623. what the crap. When i went to the store to get refund they made a copy and said corporate would call me to get the refund. 1 week later no call and when we finally got through to corporate they said they never received the cancellation and no refund request. Corporate gave us a cancellation number and said we would have the refund in 1-2 days. No refund, 1 week later after 2 hours on hold got through and the corporate person said you have to go into the store for a refund. I freaked and talked to a supervisor (20mins later) the supervisor said we need to talk to finance to get a refund, she transferred us and they were closed and the line hung up. Not a good experience! We purchase a living room set, accent chair and coffee table. We were told delivery could take between 2 to 4 weeks. We were given a date which was 5 weeks after purchase and the date kept changing. Everytime we called Customer service regarding the change, there was never a convincing answer as of why the they kept delaying delivery. We recorded the conversations for the records. We kept waiting and 8 weeks went by and no furniture. We drove to store, supervior was apologetic for the delay, returned the delivery fee and promised to deliver at least the sofa and the loveseat within a week because those 2 items were ready to go in the warehouse. We waited 7 days and never received a text, call or email. We ended up canceling order. It was disappointing but the right thing to do. Miscommunication. I purchased $850 worth of furniture for delivery and I told the sales lady that I didn't have a cell phone when she asked me for it and told her I prefer email or a phone call to my home. She set up deliver and I told her that that day was good and that I would be home all day. She talked about the delivery people calling a few days before to confirm and I paid my bill. When I delivery date came, no delivery. I called and was told that I didn't respond to their text to confirm the delivery and I told them that I had specifically told the sales person that I didn't have a text number so they couldn't have texted me. But they wouldn't bring my furniture so not wanting to take another day off from work, I cancelled my order so that I could do business with honorable people. It was then that I was told that because I cancelled before delivery that it would cost me 10% of the sale or $85! I complained all the way to their corporate office but still they refused to refund the full amount. I continued to cancel the order out of principle because I don't like to reward poor customer service so I have lost $85 to people who do not listen and blame me for everything that happened rather than taking responsibility for their mistakes. read more

My bed recently broke within the warranty time frame, and we worked with Guardsman to get credit at Ashley Furniture to cover a replacement. Ashley Furniture continuously kept us on the phone for 1-2 hours on hold, pretended to not know what we were talking about, and refusing to let us apply the credit to a new purchase. After 5 months of this abhorrent customer service, we've finally given up and decided to never shop at Ashley Furniture again. Worst experience ever! Bought a bedroom set on 9/1. It got delivered on 9/10 and the headboard had a broken leg on it. The driver advised me to refuse the delivery because their "service department" is subpar. Got another delivery last week and it was the wrong headboard. To which the new driver argued with me about if it was right or not. The store admitted they made a mistake and ordered the wrong item. They "refunded" the money I paid them for the $200 delivery fee not back to my visa but "on account". So they don't actually give you your money back. Never again will I buy from them! Now I have boxes laying around and a footboard just chillin against the wall until 10/19 when the replacement headboard will be delivered because, of course, now it's on backorder. Later that week we get an online add for the same end tables marked LOWER at the "original price" than what we paid "marked down" at the store, AND the tables were "on sale" for $50 off the online price. That's a difference of $250 if you shop online or at the store! Talk about bait and switch! We called the store over and over and over again to use their "Price Match" policy, no one ever, ever, ever called back. We used their online "resolution" and were assured that someone from the store would call that week, still nothing. We've written to corporate offices and still silence. Will NEVER shop here again.
