The cart with rags and bottles of window cleaner was nowhere to be found. I moved my car to three different bays before realizing that the vacuums weren't working. I asked the cranky short-tempered woman taking money at the entrance if there were any vacuums working. She SHOUTED at me "The weather is not under my control!!!" Yeah, honey, it isn't, but if the equipment isn't working, WHY ARE YOU CHARGING ME FULL PRICE?? I was so effing pissed. I will be going to Hang 10 from now on--or rinsing my car off myself. I took my SUV in to get a car wash, and was disappointed when it was still almost as dirty on the back of the vehicle as before it was washed. I asked one of the young ladies and they said that this was due to the shape of the vehicle, but, as I mentioned above it sounded like she cared and would get the manager. . Ok so, all the other car washes that I go to in other areas can do it, but at THIS car wash, it's my SUV' design that prevents it from getting clean. Gotcha, geniuses. I asked for the manager and he came and repeated the same retardedness. He offered that I should sign up for a $45 detail. I said that for $25 at most places in eastern northern VA, (at the time) I get just as good a job, or better, than his $45 job. I went further to explain that the reason why the other car washes get the back of SUV's clean is that they pre-wash the back of the vehicle before it goes through. Yeah, they actually had the forethought to give the kid who operates the machine and puts the plastic cover on all rear wiper blades, a bucket with a brush and soapy water for this purpose. He said that he can't afford to do that because of the higher income in areas like Fairfax and blah blah blah. The man made no sense. I told him also that in those places, the per capita income may be higher but they charge less for a much better service. , I reminded him that they also wipe the car dry and use windex on the windows. The only way to get a car that looks ok from this place is to pay them over $40. Go somewhere else.
