I got there, the next morning, she remembered me and they took it back right away. The tech came and got me and showed me the damage to my tire and said he could patch it but didn't know how long it would last. I went back up front and talked to Stacy who worked her magic and got me a tire. 20" low profiles aren't in stock in Stanley VA. She went above and beyond to send one of her guys to Winchester to pick it up, and they installed it within a couple of hours. Lifesavers! She could have easily made me wait until the next day. This speaks volumes of their customer service skills and caring in general. Would totally go back (hour and a half) to get my new tires when it's time.

They would not allow me to pull my own vehicle in the garage. I went to the waiting room where I could see them put my car on a lift and then proceed to inspect, but he guy had several other people come over and look at it, appears to have gotten on the phone with someone while inspecting, then comes our way later to tell me it's failing due to my head light housing being cracked and my motor mounts, it'll be $1400.... Mind you this is our spare vehicle, which has been driven a grand total of maybe 200 miles since my last inspection, and likely not even valued at $1000... The headlight has been slightly cracked (no moisture, light works) for 3 years and has passed inspection on that each time, as for the motor mounts... I took the car elsewhere (my normal place later in the week) for a second opinion and was told there was absolutely nothing wrong with them, the vehicle is 22 years old and the slight movement they allow is not only expected but also not near enough for concern.. worth the fee if $30 to get a second opinion. I felt as if they preyed on me for taking up their time since they would have not profited off of my car.

I add, too, that Naked Bear had done a couple repairs well. But when the rig came back in March with mismatched paint, an exhaust pipe hung under the carriage so that it MELTED the fender skirt, and an incorrectly installed slide-out motor (the pin wasn't in, so it flopped around and damaged the entire slide-out assembly), we asked them to correct it. They never sent anyone out as promised (after 2.5 months of trying). On the other hand, this gave me time to look closely at their invoices to find they had overcharged us by $460. (!!) Could possibly be just sloppy bookkeeping (they applied a deposit over two invoices and snuck it in there) versus outright theft, but I can't say, as they won't reply. To be continued...

Drove for at least 4 hours and trying everything possible at stops. The jacks wouldn't even go down anymore. Called this place was an hour and half away at 2:30p and they said come on up. Got there just before 4p and they immediately met us outside and went to work! Stephanie rocked the repairs and not only did they replace the jacked up solenoid but topped off the hydronic fluid and cleaned our plunger. The office staff was so nice & recommended a local Mexican restaurant that was fabulous. I can't say enough great things about them. Highly recommend!!!!

And then after we FINALLY got it and settled the bill, we ended up taking it to another mechanic who had to fix all the poor work done by Mountain View. Among other boneheaded moves, they put all the new tires on wrong (whitewalls facing in for some reason). A local family friend recommended this place so highly, which is why we kept cutting them more slack, but that good faith was sorely misplaced. If they do not know you personally, you're SOL working with Mountain View.
