Fast forward to today, 4 months later ... our toddler locked herself (accidentally) in our room. We have very old door knobs/locks on all of our interior doors. I knew if I called the fire department, they'd just break the door. I took a chance and called Country Safe and Locks and the owner (didn't catch the name) pulled over to the side of the road to trouble shoot with me. He didn't have to do that as he was on his way to an appointment and would gain nothing from helping me but he did. The only way to get the door unlocked without breaking it was to drill a hole where the lock would be on the back side and pop it open that way. Long story short, I discovered while on a…read morecross-country flight that a repairman accidentally locked both locks (not just my electronic lock), and the only key to the bottom lock was inside my condo. I contacted them on Yelp, explained the situation, and they were able to meet my mother (after verifying I was the legitimate owner) within an hour. Not only did they unlock the door but they immediately made copies of that bottom lock key The full service was less than $100 and they were extremely responsive and worked with me to get what they needed while I was literally on a plane hundreds of miles away.
