Austin the office manager is professional, friendly and easy to work with. Dr Maier listens to my concerns and works with me to achieve the goals I set each year. From Diet and exercise, to preventive maintenance. Recently found out he was an ER doctor for many years, which is nice to know in case I ever do have an emergency. I'm grateful to have Dr Maier and his staff, plan to stay as long as his practice is open. Lastly, even prescriptions are easy to refill, either by mail or in person at a local pharmacy. No complaints in all the years I've been a patient. He has a large patient base, but if you call and ask to be worked in if anyone cancels, you can usually be seen latwr that day by phone/video or within the week. My biggest Shock was at the first of the year , (2024) When I walked into the office and one of his staff approached me and told me I had a balance due of $255! I immediately said What!? This is literally my first appointment of the year! His Accountant girl in the back said Oh, yes , that's your medicare deductible! ‍ In my entire life of being on Medicare never ever have I heard of this scam before! That day he ordered some labs, and a mammogram. And of course his office called me to come in so he could go over the mammogram, , and when I did , he literally sat down and said " well.... I guess, I'm supposed to go over this mammogram with you...." ‍‍‍ seriously! That took all of 3 minutes! The Best part is .. the Labs he ordered apparently Medicare didn't want to pay for.. I didn't find out until 1 year later! (1/11/2025) I'm appealing the $383 to Medicare, So I asked Dr Maiers if he could write a Letter Supporting his decision to order the Labs 1 year ago, He actually had the nerve to CHARGE ME $40!!! Dr. Kenneth Grier, MD assesses both of them together and catching their health behaviours and correcting them. My aunt informed me that she really likes him, simply enough because she feels there's a trusting rapport noted during their examinations. His staffs are easy to communicate with scheduling and any concerns. They empathise with the language barriers and able to accommodate family member to act as interpreter and legal representative on their behalf. It does take sometime to get the best for your family that requires advocacy to navigate through the healthcare system.

I was going through a hard time emotionally and thought I should see about getting antidepressants. I waited for 40 min before Kelly walked in. I expressed to her my emotions and what was going on in my personal life. She asked me if I was suicidal. I said I had thoughts about it but told her I would never carry through with it. I told her they were just thoughts. She asked me if I had plans to suicide. I said flatly no. I said I think I just need meds to get me through this rough patch. I was crying as I told her my story. She was very cold towards me. Walked out and said she would be back. 45 min later a sheriff walked into the room asking me all kinds of questions, then left. I was so shocked. A sheriff wtf?? Next, I am waiting another 45 min! I was getting restless and felt like going to my car (to smoke to be honest). A girl working there said 'are you coming back?' She then said 'Kelly got called to ER and could be a while' as I proceeded to walk out, there was Kelly sitting in the office room laughing with a co-worker. (So that was a lie about her leaving to ER.) Kelly stopped me and asked me where I was going, 'To my car I said' She said 'you're not leaving right?' I sensed something was really weird. I went to my car and while in my car, I saw a different sheriff walk into the building with a wad of papers in his hand. They were going to try to involuntarily commit me! Unbelievable!! I took off and left! I've never been so grateful for wanting to smoke! It saved me! All I wanted was some meds to get through a rough patch in my life (ps. I've never taken meds before. I don't drink nor do drugs.) I couldn't believe that Kelly could go to that length. Having suicidal thoughts is not the same as acting upon it or making a dead set plan. I will never ever go back to this practice in my life. I was left untreated for a simple prescription request. I was almost committed involuntarily to hospital for simply being emotional in front of my doctor. Horrible! Disturbing! Terrifying! This place is dangerous!

I've been struggling to find words good enough to describe the amazing people here. I recommend them at every opportunity! I just had no idea what it meant to receive high quality care from a physician until I started coming here last year. What a refreshing change from the status quo From the first visit when I met Dr. Vasquez, I knew right away I hit the lottery of healthcare. He spoke to me in a way that made me feel heard and cared for PERSONALLY by him. It's hard to explain, but this man makes everyone feel special; it's not just me who feels this way. The staff also speaks very highly of him, and they knew exactly what I was talking about when I shared my experience with them. Speaking of staff; a special shoutout to Samantha, Kaylee, and Julia. Not to say that everyone else here isn't amazing as well, but these 3 individuals shine extra bright. Whether it's by phone, or when I come to the office for an appointment, my experience with them has always left me wanting to tell more people about this office. Well worth the drive, even if you don't live near Crestline (I drive 50 minutes to get here). It's so beautiful in Crestline and there's much to do if you can spare some extra time to go exploring before or after your appointment!

When I called to set up an appointment, his very nice receptionist, Desiree told me I needed to stop by and fill out new patient intake forms before I could make an appointment. I filled out the forms over 2 weeks ago and have followed up 2 or 3 times a week to find out my patient status b/c I am starting to run low on meds that I must take daily. Every time I called before today, Desiree told me that the paperwork was sitting on Dr. Baumgartner's desk and to follow up the following week. I called to follow up today and his rude medical assistant, Evelyn answered the phone and told me that I had to be 'accepted' into the practice, even though Dr. Baumgartner was assigned by my insurance. When I asked for a timeline on when that would be, she wouldn't give me an answer! I reiterated to her that I am running low on meds that I must take daily and she told me to go to Urgent Care to get them! When I asked if I could speak to someone else who could help me she told me to go to urgent care again - what a joke!!! It's obvious this Dr. and his staff don't give a crap about their patients if my paperwork has been sitting on the Dr.'s desk for over 2 weeks and they can't help me get meds that I need to take daily in order to live a normal life. I called Blue Shield and filed a complaint about this Dr. and his office - they were very concerned after looking at my medical history and will be filing an appeal on my behalf. I will also be filing a complaint with the state medical board. BTW, I called Big Bear Urgent Care and they would not be able to prescribe any medications to me b/c a) they don't take my insurance and b) THEY WOULD NEED TO GET AUTHORIZATION FROM MY PCP. I will be driving down the hill to see my old docs at Loma Linda University from now on. Avoid at all costs!
