We were at the casino for a concert, and wanted to go to Johnny Sanchez. When we got to JS's, for some reason they had a very limited menu. It was basically just appetizers and a burger. That would have been good for me, but my companions wanted more. Came to the resort to celebrate my birthday with my best friend. We live a days worth of driving away so when we got to the resort we were ready for some food! The decor looked like you stepped inside one of those Japanese homes. The decor was authentic. We sat down and looked over the menu. It was pretty expansive offering soups, salads, sushi, main dishes appetizers and more. I decided on the Hong Kong Beef Noodles. Wow!!! The portions were big. Enough for dinner that night and lunch the next day. Was also very tasty! Was just what I needed after a long drive. Didn't feel overly stuffed like after eating at some Asian restaurants. Don't let the negative reviews fool you. Most of the reviews seem to come from people who felt they weren't treated up to their own high expectations. Often it is those who've never actually worked in the service industry and don't realize how busy staff can get. Every time I've eaten here, I've had nothing but incredible food and outstandingly courteous service. My dishes always come out fresh and surprisingly quick. In fact, tonight a server brought out my main course and apologized for taking too long. I was shocked because I had barely touched my appetizer, lol! Thankfully, it was Vietnamese spring rolls to start and pho for the main, served piping hot. So I did not mind letting the pho cool down a bit while I finished the spring rolls. I came here after a golf round at the Contraband Bayou Golf course which is also owned by the L'Auberge Casino. The restaurant is in the L'Auberge Casino and it was easy to find and it is usually busy. I ordered a honey glazed pork vermicelli bowl and the portion was very big, but the price was also more on the pricey side. I was a little underwhelmed with the taste, since it was mostly sweet and had no other flavors. I would recommend getting other noodle dishes like pad Thai or Drunken noodles. read more

Very surprised casino has good food and good services, I visited so many casinos hate all casinos food except Vegas casinos. But in lake Charles I am surprised major of the restaurants serves so fresh food and the services are so nice especially Asia. I just wanted to take a moment to compliment your Asia on its Chines cuisine. We have stayed at L'Auberge many times but never tried Asia. What a delight! We liked it so much, we ate there two days in a row! 5/6/25 at 9:21 pm we had the beef satay (sad it wasn't on skewers like Singapore) and the chicken lettuce wraps. Both were delicious. So flavorful and the presentation was good too. Dakota took good care of us and we had a cute little table in the back corner where it was nice and quiet. My only complaint is that the man who cleared the tables has no respect for those of us who were still there eating. He was very loud and it was deafening to my ears. This is just a training issue that should be addressed asap. No doubt! Other than that, it was a wonderful dining experience. 5/7/25 at 8:05 pm we were seated at the front corner of the inner room and that was also a delightful spot for us. Grace was very sweet and super-efficient. We did tell her about the loud table cleaner and she knew who we were talking about. The man that helped her that night was more aware of the patrons, which was nice. We loved our food and Grace and look forward to our next exciting Asia experience. One of the best restaurants in L'Auberge to visit. I love the fact the food is always served fresh and warm when I visit. Additionally, the service is amazing! I forgot the name of our waitress when we dined however she was exceptional. The only reason why I gave it four stars is because the wait times can be a bit ridiculous. L'Auberge may want to consider expanding this restaurant since business there is booming. Hubby had a mixed grill platter with lemongrass beef, shrimp, grilled chicken and fried rice. Baked salmon was good but was kinda skimpy - it came with a ponzu sauce dressing and tempura veggies (sweet potato and zucchini). The raspberry lemon drop martini was refreshing and good. In the two trips, we got: lamb lollipops, Vietnamese egg rolls, Vietnamese spring rolls, fried gyoza, miso soup, black pepper tofu, Chinese sausage rice, pork rice, drunken noodles, hunan shrimp, shaken beef, and firecracker ribs. The appetizers were all very good, although small portions. Both rice dishes were excellent- not greasy and not mushy with great flavor. The drunken noodles were excellent, a favorite for sure. The tofu and ribs were also fantastic. The weak dishes were the hunan shrimp (shrimp a little mushy and not spicy as advertised) and the shaken beef (not enough flavor in the beef and small portions). Chef Jude came out and spoke with me about my options, and there weren't many. So he made me my own personal dish! This restaurant is located inside L'Auberge Casino. Let me start off by saying the food was delicious! I had the seafood ramen, which was loaded with shrimp, crabmeat and scallops. I do mean LOADED with seafood. I was so full but I wasn't leaving a drop in that bowl. Yes, that good! My husband had the drunken noodles,, which was loaded with beef, and seasoned to perfection. He tried to eat it all, but couldn't. That's the first time that's ever happened. The hostess greeted us with a warm and pleasant smile, and informed us that there was a 10 minute wait. The wait was actually more like 5 minutes. The restaurant is not huge, but it was spacious. The waiter was friendly and checked on us often without being overbearing. Every time we visit L'Auberge, we visit Asia to get some food. I recommend their fried rice, pho and bun bo hue. I would pass on the ramen - the broth was lacking flavor, and they don't use the usual cut of pork for the meat. I would also pass on the pad Thai- they just don't make it that good here. To cut on your waiting time, add yourself to the waiting list on the yelp app. You'll thank me later. Sometimes when we walked up, it would be an hour wait. Service is okay here. Sometimes you get a really good server, sometimes you get an okay one. But we've never had a bad server in my experience here. read more

We recently stayed at Lauberge for three nights and after walking past Asia numerous times we knew we just had to try this restaurant after speaking with some friends who work next door at "the other casino". I spoke with the casino host and she was very happy to give us a $75 comp towards our dinner at Asia, so there was absolutely no excuse not to visit this restaurant during this stay. We arrived just before 6:00 PM and the restaurant was mostly empty so we had the option to sit where we wanted. We were greeted by the hostess and our server, they were very professional and extremely friendly. After looking at the menu we decided to start with a few appetizers and placed our order once our server returned with our drinks. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and everything is very clean and organized. Arriving early ensured our food would arrive in a timely manner so we weren't rushed to order our entrées so we just relaxed and enjoyed the evening. - Rock N Shrimp - a very generous appetizer portion of shrimp battered and fried crispy then drizzled with a spicy Asian sauce very good option. - Tuna Nigiri - very fresh, perfectly portioned tuna that absolutely melted in my mouth covering white rice - the proper way to eat this is by using your hands so don't be ridiculous put your chop sticks to the side and don't you dare use a fork and knife lol - a little wasabi and a dash of soy will have you wanting more. - Shrimp Fried Rice - the rice was prepared perfectly I wish they would spend a little more time cooking the shrimp and use a little less bean sprouts but that's just my opinion it was still a solid choice. - Beef & Broccoli - I ordered it "Thai Hot" and it came out pretty bland I was offer some spicy condiments but I don't like to add heat afterwards, I like it cooked in that's why I ordered it - I should have rejected it, it was quite disappointing and our least favorite dish. - General Tso's Chicken - wonderful selection I recommend this one if you like very spicy with a perfect amount of sweetness combined with carrots and pea pods you can order this with all white meat and I recommend doing that, this was by far the best dish of the night. Was pleasently surprised how much we enjoyed the food here. The menu is an eclectic variety of nearly every Asian ethnicity. Usually this is a bad sign to me, but not in this case. The Peking duck was tender and had a crispy skin. But what we were most impressed with was how good the pho was. It really hit the spot after the beating my wallet and pride took at the Baccarat tables the night prior. I am subtracting 1 star though because the prices are pretty ridiculous. $17 for Pho kind of sucks even at a casino. The Goyozas were $11 and came with 4 medium sized dumplings. My 8 year old son dropped one on the floor and given how much money I donated to the L'auberge family last night, I contemplated making him eat it. Well, first of all, we always come here when we stay or visit L'Auberge casino, and the service is NEVER CONSISTENT! Sometimes we get really great service, but most of the time, we get slow and bad service. Recently, we came in with a big group (approximately 9 people) and got seated pretty quick. Even though we got seated pretty quick, we didn't get our food that fast. Actually, our waitress didn't take our order or even ask for our drinks until about 15 minutes in (and keep in mind, it's not that busy, it's a weekday, 5:30pm, and only a few other tables of 2 or 3 people). It shouldn't take that long to at least ask for our drinks. After waiting about 20 minutes once they took our orderi, we finally got our food! But wait, only 8 of us got our food! I was the unlucky person and didn't get my food for some reason! I tried to get the attention of our server (Thao) but she pretty much ignored me. I had to raise my voice and almost yell and had people looking at me because I had to get her attention. Even then, she seemed confused and looked like I was crazy. So after finally complaining to our server, they get my orange chicken out. But by this point EVERYONE in our group is done eating. And I'm just beginning to eat my food. Honestly, the food is still decent but service is horrible. Because of that, I would say avoid this place. It's better to just go somewhere else where they actually care about you and the service is much better. I had to eat my $11 chicken fried rice cold once I got my orange chicken, plus I got to watch everyone else eat their entrees before I got mine. They only reason I'm leaving 2 stars instead of 1-Star is because John (the manager on duty) was very apologetic after I told him of the horrible service.
