Love, love, love this place So much variety of styles of the way they prepare food. Always delicious and extremely tasty. The BEST in the area....especially for the prices.

Pad Thai with... LEMON slices? No basil... no lime.

I was torn between giving this place 2 stars and giving it three stars. Really... 2 1/2 would be just about right. My wife and I stopped in at Asia Lee for some take-out sushi. The special board advertised a variety sushi platter for $25 or $30 (rolls only, no sashimi) It was prepared fairy quickly and the counter person was very friendly. The waiting area was meticulously clean. Buuuuut. But. But. But. The sushi sucked. Shop Rite has better sushi. It's wasn't BAD, mind you. It was just overt ricey, flavorless, and had lots of imitation crab meat in it. It was like "Chinese Buffet Sushi." I suppose it's my own fault. You get what you pay for. I don't think I'll go back to try their Thai or Chinese offerings. China Star in Vernon is still the reigning king, in my book. Update: went back again last week and got sushi. Ordered a few special rolls and some shuns I this time. Not bad... still not any better than shop rite makes. Can back for the third and final attempt tonight to see if they knew anything about making Thai... it's on the menu. Ordered Pad Thai with chicken for my wife. I ordered Asian Hot masaman curry. We got egg rolls and house Alecia fried rice. Pad Thai was just linguine with some peanuts and eggs floating around in it. Curry was chicken gravy with mixed vegetables and not a trace of anything resembling spicy. Egg rolls were okay- house special fried rice tasted like PF Changs. Won't be eating my time or money here again.

Fried shrimp dumplings & pad Thai

All the food here is sooo good I love the chicken wings and any style dumplings are to die for so soft and flavorful. Also I really enjoyed their pad Thai. I like their sushi it's very fresh my only complaint is that the avacado wasn't very ripe in the sushi other excellent!

This delicious octopus salad also has strips of preserved mackerel, served with fish row and a spicy ponzu sauce.

Excellent food, tasty, properly cooked and not at all greasy. It's a bit far from me, but definitely worth the trip.

Called for reservation but probably wasn't needed (July 3rd and weather issues in the area) Great…read moreservice. Greeted promptly when we arrived. Restaurant maybe 1/2 full. Couldn't decide so we ordered a few apps (KFC chicken, edamame and scallion pancake) all of which were delicious. Decided to get bao buns and fried rice. Note: ordered chicken and shrimp but should have specified we wanted one dish with both meats - instead we got 2 bowls - which just means more for lunch tomorrow! Staff stayed calm when the lights flickered a few times and just said "hopefully the chefs are almost done with your meals because we don't have a generator"). Had to dodge a few broken trees on 94 on the way home but all in all a great meal! Also it's BYOB but really didn't miss the wine - Yuzu ade was refreshing on this 90+ degree day.

Blue Spice has been on my to-do list for literally years, and Monday was finally the day. I stopped…read moreby for lunch with my top-tier chum, a native of the Kingdom of Sussex who has been here before and has spoken highly of it. I don't know why I was surprised to discover this was in a strip mall, but that's on me. A nice one, at least. The place was relatively busy but we were able to secure a table easily with zero wait time. Pleasant vibes inside. I don't mean this as an insult at all but I was expecting more ethnic decor in line with the restaurant's menu - instead, it's pretty Americanized and feels like a classic suburban NJ establishment. I liked the painted brick on the lefthand side that has Blue Spice's logo/sign on it; spiffy. The bathroom was also a high point, which is...not something I say often. It was very clean and smelled nice, and I liked the dark cruise-ship lighting vibe. We decided to split the scallion pancake app, which was an excellent decision. I work in the city and regularly have this item from a place in Chinatown, and I honestly thought this was better, mostly because it was thicker/denser than what I'm used to. Super tasty and would get that again in a heartbeat. Giant portion as well - we split the pancake, which was roughly the size of a small pizza. My chum had leftovers there, I did not; so it goes with us. I've had a few mediocre chicken katsu experiences of late, so this seemed like a chance for redemption. I ordered the Akiko Curry entree, which was their spin on chicken katsu curry. Honestly wasn't my favorite. Again, a HUGE portion here and was only able to finish about 60% of it despite having a pretty legit appetite coming in. And the presentation value is excellent as well, as far as that goes. This could easily just be a personal palate preference, but I wasn't crazy about the curry itself (which had a weird tang to it) and didn't resemble the standard curry I'm used to with this dish. Also, as you can see from the attached, the curry is basically on the side of the dish, separated from the chicken and rice. Because of that, the chicken is on the dry side, which is my primary beef (pun?) with the item to begin with. So a miss for me, but I could see why other people would like this (and apparently do). The service was excellent, full stop. Our waitress was very nice and personable; she had strong command of the menu and you could see her consistently engaging with other patrons throughout our meal as well. She took several group photos so this is apparently a Kingdom of Sussex hot spot for that, which I wouldn't have guessed. She was so good both of us remarked on it multiple times during the meal, which is a rarity. But a great example of hospitality markedly improving an experience and making what was already an overall positive situation that much better. Huge marks there. Would definitely come back but would explore other parts of the menu once I feasted on the scallion pancake.

I ordered the moo shoo pork, shrimp with lobster sauce and egg drop soup with wontons. The soup was the only thing I th thought was palatable. The moo shoo was full of celery and I hate celery. I think it supposed to be mostly cabbage and other vegetables. Pork out of a can maybe? And when I got home and opened the shrimp w lobster sauce it was just a blob, very unappetizing to the eye besides fishing around I only found 4 shrimp that were overcooked. Maybe I should have gone with my gut because the place was empty and when I walked in there was nothing going on in the kitchen I mean total silence. The lady at the front was happy to see me. No customers should have been my tell tale sign. No bueno.

That dish was chock-full of veggies, which was great, but the veggies felt microwaved instead of fresh-sauteed, and the protein wasn't all that abundant. This is probably mostly a take-out place, but we ate in. There was a beautiful planter with blooming flowers out front. The inside displays faded menu items and decorations and some peeling on the walls.

First of all, the interior is just as impressive and immersive experience as the outside - it's worth a meal there just for the ambiance. But luckily it's not just about the atmosphere - the food lived up to it as well! Our favorites were the 3 cup chicken and the Mandarin pork chop. Both unique dishes that we hadn't had before and were delicious! If you like the classic american Chinese dishes, they also made a great version of chicken with broccoli.

American Chinese food was ok, though much of it was still off-temperature due to the commute over. The rice and noodle was just-ok. Not as good flavor as an AJ Bistro. Gold coin steak was saucy, yes, but meat was tough. General cho's was soggy. The more authentic Chinese dishes, though, were much better - the xiaolongbao were good, BBQ spare ribs people liked (I found too dry and lacked flavor in the middle of the rib meat, needed more marination), Shanghai bok choy with mushroom was great, lobster & scallion was excellent. Seared green beans were good. Overall, mixed bag on dishes - I think it'll be better when I go to eat in-person.
