Excellent food, tasty, properly cooked and not at all greasy. It's a bit far from me, but definitely worth the trip.

This was the first time ordering from them, using their website to get dinner for three people. Two of us got what we ordered, but oh boy, did they totally mess up one person's order from start to finish. First, the soup ordered was subgum wonton soup. Well, it was subgum all right with veggies, shrimp and chicken but NO wontons... If you don't add wontons, then just call it subgum soup! Then the main dish, beef chow mein, was brilliant by its absence - and we only found out after bringing the food home, unfortunately. A quick call to the restaurant "cleared" it up and we went back and get the missing dish. Well, what was hauled over the counter was not crispy noodles, but beef with onions in a sauce with no noodles. Otherwise, the food was decent, but a little on the sweeter side. Went in and ordered take out , they don't listen to special requests if you want to add or change an ingredient. It seems every-time I order here they forget something and when you tell them about it , they don't make up for it on your next order . I live less than 10 minutes away and the soup I ordered is just barely warm with 3 wontons for a soup that serves 2 , last time I didn't get any wontons . General Tso Chicken , I did something I never have done before, I had to take back for a refund it was not good at all . It seems the counter person does not pass on to the kitchen customers requests or doesn't explain to them properly. The special board advertised a variety sushi platter for $25 or $30 (rolls only, no sashimi) It was prepared fairy quickly and the counter person was very friendly. The waiting area was meticulously clean. Buuuuut. But. But. But. The sushi sucked. Shop Rite has better sushi. It's wasn't BAD, mind you. It was just overt ricey, flavorless, and had lots of imitation crab meat in it. It was like "Chinese Buffet Sushi." I suppose it's my own fault. You get what you pay for. I don't think I'll go back to try their Thai or Chinese offerings. China Star in Vernon is still the reigning king, in my book. Update: went back again last week and got sushi. Ordered a few special rolls and some shuns I this time. Not bad... still not any better than shop rite makes. I've been here several times since then both for take out and dine-in and I think they have kept their quality consistent. Their sushi is the best found locally, good quality, good presentation, and some interesting special rolls. If they offer it on their specials board get the salmon skin roll. Six pieces of crispy salmon skin with a slightly sweet soy sauce glaze drizzled on top. About $5 and delicious. The most recent new thing I tried was the octopus salad. More than it sounds, the octopus is cut in strips, with long slices of preserved mackerel. It is dressed in a slightly spicy ponzu sauce and served on a bed of spring greens. One of THE best things I've had at any Asian resturaunt. The presentation was beautiful! Their pan fried dumplings are stellar but the wontons in peanut sauce were not as spicy as they've been. I find their food more authenticity made than most Asian food restaurants. Their wontons are so light that they almost dont work for take out since they sort of fall apart, but they are very good. I also find their chicken dishes much fresher than others. You can tell when checken is cooked fresh and I am sure Asia Lee prides themselves on freshness. I would give them 5 stars if it wasn't for the very impatient lady who runs the register but I will cut her some slack right now due to COVID. The food was fresh but as someone who orders walnut chicken every time I eat Chinese food I wasn't happy. We got take out and the sauce for the chicken was on the side. Walnut chicken is typically saturated in the sauce not dipped. It tasted fishy as well from the same tempura batter being used for shrimp which I probably wouldn't have noticed had the sauce been on the chicken. The peanut butter dumplings didn't taste like peanut butter. They tasted mostly like soy sauce. To say our dinner was great, it was really GREAT. We enjoyed Hot & Sour Soup that was flavorful, loaded with mushrooms, bean shouts, tofu & other Asian goodies. For an appetizer we had fried pork dumplings that were light and full of flavor. The pork mixture was tender and delicious. We had General Tso's Chicken (all white meat) and the flavor was outstanding. The chicken was very tender and moist with just enough spice. Also, Roast Pork Lo Mein that was fantastic. The noodles were tender not mus, and like the soup was loaded with pork and veggie. Food Poisoning! Got take-out Saturday night that should have been a safe, innocuous meal. Instead, I got food poisoning from the "beef ho fun" (they make it sound like something out of a brothel...but it's just a greasy chow fun wokked quickly in a preparation that was over-smoked and burned--leaving something in the pan that shouldn't have been there. The "beef" itself was chewy and virtually all gristle). The result was severe stomach cramping, diarreah, and food poisoning until it voided. Not good! The wonton soup (a prefab broth with soy sauce) was edible, although the pork tripe dumpling fillings were not. Eggplant chicken was the third part of the order, but despite being listed as a non-hot dish, comes inundated with red pepper flakes. Take-out Chinese doesn't come with the highest expectations, and hit or miss is a general rule. But food poisoning crosses the line. Very good. Always good quality and fresh. We tend to get take out often from here (twice a month or so). My favorites are the kani salad, hot and sour soup and steamed veggie dumplings. We also just tried the sweet and sour chicken, it was great. Their sushi is pretty good too. I've never had a bad meal from them and they also always get the order correct every time (that's really important to me because some places can get it so wrong!). The mongolian was pretty good, not outstanding but definitely a good deal - especially considering the big pieces of lobster in it. The chicken lo mein & egg rolls were delicious. One major factor that stuck out was the service. Everyone was very friendly, smiling when we walked in and pleasant to deal with. I've been to plenty of Asian takeout places in the area that make me feel like I'm interrupting their day, rude to the point of making me feel uncomfortable even going there.
