    Sesame chicken without the sesame
    Mason B.

No sesame on my chicken and the lady tells me to come pick up sesame when I called her. Two orders for $35 including tip. Other meal which was chicken and broccoli had 6 pieces of chicken Ton of broccoli and a tiny container. When I asked for fried rice with my meal she seemed annoyed and said that's extra. When I ask for extra green onions, less wontons and more broth she still says that's extra, whatever I pay it even tho they are saving a few wontons. Ink my order sesame chicken because of the sesame and only eat the ones that have sesame on them which is only top layer. All I wanted was sesame and for her to tell me to come by pick up sesame was annoying!! Idk why I keep ordering from there. The food is good when they get my order right. Thanks garden

Ok, where do I begin? Forget the decor, paint, jewelry, etc. People... it's about the food right? And.... The food is amazing! That's more important than anything else. The fried dumplings are one of the best I've ever tasted. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

First visit to this family run restaurant. The General Tso tofu was excellent, honey walnut chicken was awesome - not heavy. The sweet & sour soup was very good. The service was outstanding and friendly. Too bad am just visiting the area - would be eating here often Definitely recommend this place.

Been coming here for year since I was 3 on vacations finally I have my own family to enjoy this spot. Never fails always a good time and meal. Environment is authentic & the service great. Nice to bring my son to a spot and him enjoy it as I did.

First of all, the interior is just as impressive and immersive experience as the outside - it's worth a meal there just for the ambiance. But luckily it's not just about the atmosphere - the food lived up to it as well! Our favorites were the 3 cup chicken and the Mandarin pork chop. Both unique dishes that we hadn't had before and were delicious! If you like the classic american Chinese dishes, they also made a great version of chicken with broccoli.

American Chinese food was ok, though much of it was still off-temperature due to the commute over. The rice and noodle was just-ok. Not as good flavor as an AJ Bistro. Gold coin steak was saucy, yes, but meat was tough. General cho's was soggy. The more authentic Chinese dishes, though, were much better - the xiaolongbao were good, BBQ spare ribs people liked (I found too dry and lacked flavor in the middle of the rib meat, needed more marination), Shanghai bok choy with mushroom was great, lobster & scallion was excellent. Seared green beans were good. Overall, mixed bag on dishes - I think it'll be better when I go to eat in-person.

Definitely I will. So the warm Dan Dan noodles were good, well spiced, but not overwhelming and noodles themselves were chewy. Sizzling shrimp, first huge jumbo shrimp so very generous on portions, plus cooked just right and bathe completely in the sauce, plenty of diced onions and peppers and mildly spicy over all. Chicken in chili oil was my favorite, I mean a whole cut chicken fit in that container, both white and dark meat, was tender and moist, plus the chili oil was just right spicy level without being assertive. This place I find special considering it's more of authentic Chinese cuisine rather than the typical Americanized version, that alone is a big draw for this place.

For this year's Chinese New Year, I decided to take the family there for our New Year dinner, and the food was just as good as I remembered. The place hasn't changed a bit, the decor still looks exactly how I remember it, which brought back memories. Since some of my family and friends don't enjoy the same spice level as I do, we adjusted the heat for dinner, and everything still came out fantastic. We ordered the whole steamed fish, happy fish, green beans, tea smoked duck, pork chop, beef pan fried noodles, and more. Every dish was delicious, and the flavors were spot on. The service was a bit tentative at times, but the quality of the food definitely made up for it. Overall, it was a wonderful meal and a great way to celebrate. I definitely need to come back more often.

It seems that both the pepper steak and chicken with broccoli were in the same sauce (& I've actually found that to be common in this area for some reason) but were tasty overall. The egg roll was quite greasy and the wonton soup was pretty solid with the broth being the star. Oh the white rice was cooked how I expect and wish all Chinese white rice is cooked so that's a plus. Overall a true 3.5 star rating but since halves aren't possible I had to go to 3 because it certainly wasn't a 4.

It's sort of Flushing very West. Often we are among the few diners who are not Asian. Food is excellent, authentic and reasonable. Yes I said reasonable. Quantities are large and often you take home leftovers for tomorrow. The kitchen is very accommodating to vegetarians, or just don't eat some food like pork and those who want less spicy food. Great dishes - I go with several mostly adventurous eaters so here goes - Cumin Lamb, Dan Dan noodles, Beef and Tripe with Chili Sauce (true confession I love tripe), Hot and Sour soup, Hunan Fried Fish with Spicy Sauce, Hunan Whole Braised Fish and Sichuan Mapo and Sichuan Fried Fish. One absolutely wonderful dish is Eggs with Tomatoes, which is sort of street food in China, as well as in many other cultures. It's simple and delicious. I've taken to making it at home using a New York Times recipe. But don't think the "regular" dishes aren't prepared with the same care and aren't as tasty. They are. The setting is pleasant and they have several tables with Lazy Susans so you can swirl food around. Service is prompt and quick. And if you get a dinner, you get ice cream!
