We were starving after being out in the cold, so we ordered a little bit of everything, and honestly, it was all delicious. We had chicken sticks , dumplings, sesame chicken, garlic crabs, shrimp fried rice, rib tips, French fries, pork fried rice, and chicken wings and every single dish was flavorful and fresh. We ended up with leftovers, but that just meant we got to enjoy it again later! The staff was so nice and welcoming, everything was very clean, and the presentation was beautiful. This might sound random, but the garnishes were adorable they made little carrot flowers, and my kids absolutely loved them. This was my second try here. I was not impressed the first time and I took me 3 years to return. This round it was much better. We got a nice mix of items. Sweet and Sour Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Combo Fried Rice and Beet Lo Mien. It was a nice variety and we enjoyed them all. We will be back...in less than 3 years this time. read more

This is the best Chinese food and sushi in our area. We eat here every week. No other Chinese place in our area can compete with the quality of the food. We love it so much! The quality is always superb. The only complaint I have is the often forget one item like egg rolls or rice. Which is a total down to discover after you drive home 20 min away. They will always credit you or replace it on your next order but it still sucks. They also never apologize. They just say let me see what I can do. The food is so amazing that I will always comeback despite that. My guests using don't love that though. Regardless you should just check your order yourself before you drive all the way home. We ordered for takeout, they said up to 30 minutes. It's been 1 hr 30 min, still waiting. Another gentleman said he's been here 2 hrs. When asking, how much longer?, they respond "I have no idea. We're busy" Very unprofessional. This is not how you run a business. Another older lady was waiting around the same time, left, then came back because they gave her two of the wrong rice (pork fried). So they took her order , made her wait another 15 minutes to get another. I sure hope they didn't serve that rice to someone else(I think they did) . Should've given to the lady for free, not take it out of her bag. At this time 3 employees in front while food was ready waiting in back. 4th employee had to come forward to grab the other employee. Wanted to post an update as my mother and I have continued to support and order from Eastern Garden via take-out through the pandemic. The sushi continues to be excellent - in fact some days better than ever! My mother recently picked up a small order of nigiri pieces and couldn't stop raving about how fresh and delicious it was. I'm always a fan of their rolls, especially the Flower roll, Dragon roll variations, and any of the rolls featuring their great shrimp tempura. Age tofu is on point and so are the various seafood salads. One time I ended up with a mistake in my order (veggie lo mein instead of house special) and they quickly made up a replacement - oh and the veggie lo mein ended up being terrific, too! If I lived closer (I only can go here when I visit my mother), I'd be getting take-out weekly from them for sure. read more

Stopped here for lunch during a work visit. I was craving some Chinese and Japanese food and luckily they had both! Their Chinese lunch menu was super cheap! I ordered their chicken and broccoli with pork fried rice and hot and sour soup. I also ordered a side of their salmon avocado roll. I was impressed by their fish quality because it was pretty decent salmon (nice pink coral color). Unfortunately, the chicken and broccoli was lacking. They make the best sushi in the area and it's always consistently fresh and delicious, more often than not the rice is still warm by the time I get around to eating! My partner will frequently indulge in their special rolls that are always very creative and very tasty (and pretty)! And I must say that their seaweed salad is the best I've ever had. Passing through Sussex, we stopped at Eastern Garden for an early dinner. Seeing Peking Duck on the menu we decided to order our favorite. Several issues arose while being served: first, the staff never smiled or said: "your welcome" it seemed they were very unhappy, and finally when we were served the Peking Duck while the duck was delicious and moist the pancakes were cold which detracted again from the overall experience. read more

This IS the best sushi & sashimi this side of route 15. The food here has consistently gone beyond my expectations, It is made to order and very fresh. They never rush me, in fact they always tell me to "take my time", "enjoy the food!". Everything I have ever had here has been excellent, even take out and catering. The service is always on point. Really good Chinese food. We are here to do some skiing and this place had good reviews. Casual inside and very attentive service. The food was great ... we are here 2 nights and the kids want to come back tomorrow. I had Singapore Mei Fun it was spiced and delicious . The wife had lettuce wraps also very good. Kids had lemon chicken which was prepared a little different it was a fried chicken cutlet cut in strips w the lemon sauce on the side. I think it's a great way to service it and the chicken doesn't get soggy. Not fancy not pricey ... but GOOD.
