I came here for the first time tonight. I was pleasantly surprised. The gentleman at the counter was very kind, and he was more than happy to explain the menu items. The prices are very reasonable too. And you can see them cooking your food. When I got my order, it was enough to feed 2 people! They are generous with the sauces too. The food is mediocre and the service is terrible! I would suggest getting the PF Changs out of the frozen food section @ Kroger.

We ordered take out from this place 30 mins from closing (sorry, we were traveling here!!) And the food was SO GOOD and what a deal. I got pad thai and my partner got pepper steak. Both were so delicious. He said the pepper steak was so good (it was, i tried it too) but the fried rice he got with it was just okay. The pad thai was the best I've ever had and it had a really delicious subtle smoky flavor I really enjoyed. There was only one lady in the kitchen but she made our food so fast and efficiently. I was so happy I could buy a cute little keychain too while I was there, they have a selection of cute little waving lucky cats, chopsticks, and jewelry for sale. Consistently great place for Chinese take out! My husband and I have tried a few of the regular staples and have not been disappointed. Last night I tried the Kung Pao chicken which was pretty flavorful and we always upgrade plain white rice to veggie fried rice and that's never an issue (just a slight upcharge). This has been one of our to go places to order take out Chinese. They always get our order right and they come within time frame. My boys love their plain lo mein and my husband loves their sweet and sour chicken. He says that it's crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. He eats them like popcorn. Their chicken on the stick or teriyaki chicken is also good. Tender and moist and has that nice char on the outside. Their crab rangoon (not pictured) is also recommend. Their pad Thai is the best out of the Chinese restaurants that sell them. Most Chinese places go crazy on the fish sauce with their pad Thai but this place does the Thai dish some justice. If I can't get it from a Thai restaurant, I get it from this Chinese restaurant (there's a difference). The only complaint I have is their plain fried rice. Really not a fan of the fried rice with just soy sauce on it. Other than that, this will continue to be our to go place Chinese delivery place. read more

The woman taking the order was rushed and I had to ask the total, the expected time of the order, she also never asked the name on the order. My order was ready when I arrived. The food was good. I just recently moved to Kentucky and was an Asian obsessed diner back home in Colorado. Tonight I ordered Chinese for the first time since I've been here. Ordered a variety of dishes, received them quickly which was nice. First I dig into the sesame beef, which was barely edible. The breading was so soft it had either been sitting under a food lamp for an hour or was undercooked. I sighed and moved on; Pad Thai? Alright, "hot" at this restaurant doesn't mean "hot", but before I was able to make my mind up about the dish I bit into a dumpling and found a hair about a foot long stuck in my teeth. Avoiding vomiting, I pulled the hair from my mouth and decided I couldn't eat the rest of the meal. We called the restaurant, were told the dumplings weren't made by them but rather a third party. They then proceeded to argue about any form of refund, requesting my wife drive the food there to prove we hadn't eaten then complained to get our money back. She's there now, and the only bright side to this story is after showing them the attached pic and handing them the bags of food we received a refund. I understand hair happens, but the ending of this story (having to show a picture to prove point) is enough to keep me away from Lexington Chinese for another six months. This is the second or third time my wife and I have ordered from here. The food is consistently good here. I have ordered drunken noodles which I ordered to be spicy. It wasn't spicy at all and my wife was able to eat it. That was the only downside. The Pad Thai was good. In the past, we have ordered General Tso's Chicken and Tofu. This was the first time I ordered from Asian Bistro and the first time to place an order online to be delivered. For being an express delivery, the food is actually pretty good. The chicken is succulent and tender. The fried rice is pretty amazing. It is light and fluffy. The portions are amazing; just the right size for lunch. I wasn't expecting that. I was told online that delivery would be 45 to 65 minutes. It arrived in less than 30 minutes. And the man who delivered it was so nice. I place a large order for a group and everyone is overly pleased. I will definitely be ordering from Asian Bistro more often. read more

We ordered take out for the first time today based on all the favorable reviews. We were not impressed with the food compared to other local Chinese take outs. We got pad thai with 0 spice, but after three bites, couldn't eat it because of the heat. The sweet and sour chicken was edible, but not the best. Spring rolls were good, but the egg rolls were extremely chewy like they'd been made a while. Considering the number of other Chinese take outs we like better, we probably won't be back. The cashew chicken we ordered was burnt. It looked burnt and smelled burnt. We are pretty sure we were their last customers of the night and just didn't want to recook it. By the time we received the food the restaurant was closed. I'm not sure if it was an issue that Door Dash could've handled or the actual restaurant. The Chicken Pad Thai was good, but for $11 I thought it should come with soup or an egg roll. I don't if they have lunch deals or not, but that's probably the only way I'll try it again read more

Absolutely love the food here. The owners are very nice and always friendly. We order the lunch or dinner special about once a week. Easily one of the best deals we have found yet. I ask for certain items to be slightly spicy, I like my lomein extra spicy and sometimes I ask them to make my chicken fried rice mildly spicy for my kids. We tried this place for the first time last night. I was blown away. I ordered at 6:30pm, and we didn't receive our food till 8:15. 1 hour and 45 minutes later. We were given a quote of 1 hour. We received no call or correspondence of any kind. What we got were cold fried appetizers and cold lo mein. The items on the menu were different from my closest store, and that is why we tried this place. It seems to have potential. Let me start by saying I go out of my way to leave good reviews, this is my first bad review on yelp. We ordered food from this place tonight about 8:30. Come around 10:00 (time they close) we call because the food still hasn't arrived. The woman on the phone looked up our order and said "oh I guess someone opened it and forgot it. We are closed now." So, they completely disregarded our order, as if we weren't waiting on dinner. She just brushed it off to the site they do their online orders through. Didn't take responsibility and did not care about the fact they totally just didn't make and deliver the order we already paid for. Completely unacceptable! I'd give 0 stars if I could. read more

Walked in to a very clean and open restaurant. I ordered my default Chinese food choice, the General Tso chicken lunch plate. I say down and waited for my entree. It appeared rather quickly, which is nice. I was a little surprised by the fried rice. Generally, I expect to see pork fried rice with little bits of questionable pork sitting in it. Instead, it appears their default is veggie fried rice. Honestly, it was kind of refreshing to have a rice that felt this light. Sautéed onions, scallions, and bean sprouts spread throughout, no eggs or pork to speak of. I approve. The chicken itself was fairly standard, some pieces a little too crispy some just right - fairly standard for Chinese food fare. Two freshly steamed pieces on broccoli on either side of the plate. I wouldn't say the portions were ridiculous, but I definitely left feeling a little more full than comfortable. The egg roll was fried to perfection and crispy as well. I did appreciate that they had sushi available, which is quite uncommon for a business of this kind. I may have to come back again to try it. That could definitely earn them an extra star. read more
