Dinner menu sweet and sour chicken with fried rice
Angie T.

I came here for the first time tonight. I was pleasantly surprised. The gentleman at the counter was very kind, and he was more than happy to explain the menu items. The prices are very reasonable too. And you can see them cooking your food. When I got my order, it was enough to feed 2 people! They are generous with the sauces too. My meal was very hot and the fried rice is full of flavor. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to anyone who wants good Asian food.

My cute lil keychain I got from Asian Bistro Express.:)

We ordered take out from this place 30 mins from closing (sorry, we were traveling here!!) And the food was SO GOOD and what a deal. I got pad thai and my partner got pepper steak. Both were so delicious. He said the pepper steak was so good (it was, i tried it too) but the fried rice he got with it was just okay. The pad thai was the best I've ever had and it had a really delicious subtle smoky flavor I really enjoyed. There was only one lady in the kitchen but she made our food so fast and efficiently. I was so happy I could buy a cute little keychain too while I was there, they have a selection of cute little waving lucky cats, chopsticks, and jewelry for sale. I wish I'd have taken a photo of the food but we were famished. We also got spring rolls and an eggroll which were also incredibly tasty! Thanks for the great food and amazing prices!!

Chicken with Kung Pao

Consistently great place for Chinese take out! My husband and I have tried a few of the regular staples and have not been disappointed. Last night I tried the Kung Pao chicken which was pretty flavorful and we always upgrade plain white rice to veggie fried rice and that's never an issue (just a slight upcharge). The restaurant itself is pretty spacious with a few tables (if you felt inclined to dine in).

Sweet and Sour Chicken

This has been one of our to go places to order take out Chinese. They always get our order right and they come within time frame. My boys love their plain lo mein and my husband loves their sweet and sour chicken. He says that it's crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. He eats them like popcorn. Their chicken on the stick or teriyaki chicken is also good. Tender and moist and has that nice char on the outside. Their crab rangoon (not pictured) is also recommend. Their pad Thai is the best out of the Chinese restaurants that sell them. Most Chinese places go crazy on the fish sauce with their pad Thai but this place does the Thai dish some justice. If I can't get it from a Thai restaurant, I get it from this Chinese restaurant (there's a difference). The only complaint I have is their plain fried rice. Really not a fan of the fried rice with just soy sauce on it. Other than that, this will continue to be our to go place Chinese delivery place.

Hair in my food.
Michael F.

I just recently moved to Kentucky and was an Asian obsessed diner back home in Colorado. Tonight I ordered Chinese for the first time since I've been here. Ordered a variety of dishes, received them quickly which was nice. First I dig into the sesame beef, which was barely edible. The breading was so soft it had either been sitting under a food lamp for an hour or was undercooked. I sighed and moved on; Pad Thai? Alright, "hot" at this restaurant doesn't mean "hot", but before I was able to make my mind up about the dish I bit into a dumpling and found a hair about a foot long stuck in my teeth. Avoiding vomiting, I pulled the hair from my mouth and decided I couldn't eat the rest of the meal. We called the restaurant, were told the dumplings weren't made by them but rather a third party. They then proceeded to argue about any form of refund, requesting my wife drive the food there to prove we hadn't eaten then complained to get our money back. She's there now, and the only bright side to this story is after showing them the attached pic and handing them the bags of food we received a refund. I understand hair happens, but the ending of this story (having to show a picture to prove point) is enough to keep me away from Lexington Chinese for another six months. If you decide to eat here, I wish you luck. The other reviews seem pretty positive and maybe my experience was a fluke.

The food is mediocre and the service is terrible! I would suggest getting the PF Changs out of the frozen food section @ Kroger.

Good food, good portions. The rice is a little dry and the prices are just a little bit pricey but not to the point that it keeps me away!

My wife had the orange chicken with fried rice, very tasty as well. We chose to have the pot stickers for an appetizer and they were delicious. We will definitely be going back for some great food. The staff helped us pick out our entrees, next time we will try something new. The ambiance was ok, nothing special though.

When I arrived I paid and doubled checked my food before leaving. I noticed my noodles were extremely dry so I ask for more stir fry sauce. Even though I was willing to pay for it, the manger smirked in my face, told me he can't sell me any story fry sauce. I'm not sure why he was being nasty but the energy was weird. What frustrated me was the fact, that even though I was willing to pay for more sauce on the noodles, he declined to "sell me the sauce" but he didn't even offer to simply add more sauce on the noodles for me. I didn't ask for anything free, I was willing to pay and I'm a regular customer, but not after that visit. I hadn't left the store yet, the food wasn't as advertised nor to my liking, on top of me being a regular customer. Coming from Las Vegas, I've never had this sort of restaurant experience with Teriyaki Madness. The food is always consistent and anytime there's any issues, the restaurant resolves them quickly. My recommendation to this new Teriyaki Madness located in Lexington, KY (HAMBURG) - if you have regular customers who may be dissatisfied with their food do everything in your will to fix the problem head on. This will ensure continued regular customer, improved sales, and guaranteed customer loyalty. So unfortunately I will have to rate this Teriyaki Madness location 1/5 with a recommendation to not visit this location. Thanks

Update 12/03/24: I…read morewas looking to have an order delivered and after viewing their online menu, I had a couple of questions to ask before I could decide if this establishment still offered food options which I could consume. I called and spoke with Wong, and he assured me they still offer gluten-free items. I then asked if they have Pho Ga (chicken broth with chicken as the protein), as I am not a fan of Pho Bo (beef broth with beef as the protein). He said it's not on the menu, but when placing the online order, I could select Beef Pho and add notes stating I wanted chicken broth and chicken as the protein, so that is what I did. I also ordered a gluten-free veggie roll, and had it delivered. The food arrived before the expected delivery time, which was a plus. When I opened my containers, I was surprised and disappointed that the broth was not the chicken broth I ordered, but beef instead. They do offer chicken and rice soup on the menu, so I assumed they had chicken broth, especially after I was instructed to add the instruction notes to my order. The noodles, chicken, and accompaniments were all fresh, but all thrown together in one big pile in the container. This is more of a preference thing for me, as I am accustomed to having them all separate, but this is not a deal breaker by any means. I must say, the chicken was truly divine, succulent even, very moist, and that is difficult to manage for chicken breast. I did try the beef broth, and I did not like it. The gluten-free veggie roll was all grease, I took one bite and the grease oozed out of it. Needless to say it was placed in the bin. I'm not giving up on this establishment, but will go in person to place my orders in the future.

I ended up ordering a few appetizers. The Hot & Sour Soup was the standout... flavorful, comforting, and easily a 5/5 on a cold n wet day. Unfortunately, the rest didn't quite hit the mark. The shrimp rolls were below average... mostly lettuce, the shrimps were dried out, and they took about 10 extra minutes to come out. The crab rangoon was the biggest disappointment; the filling had an unpleasant smell and tasted like heavy, clotted cream cheese and there wasn't even an iota of imitation crab meat to justify that name. My friends ordered egg rolls, which actually looked pretty good (I'd say a solid 4/5), and Singapore noodles, which unfortunately looked underwhelming. Overall, there are a few bright spots, especially the soup, but the food quality and atmosphere were inconsistent. With some updates and more attention to freshness and flavor, this place could really improve.

He was attentive and kind. We enjoyed the lovers plate. Basically, an appetizer sampler. Everything on the plate was perfectly fried. The flavors were good. The Singapore noodles were not what I am used to. Ordinarily it's a green curry, there was no taste of curry. The shrimp were cooked well and it was served with a hot sauce on the plate. It wasn't bad, just not as expected. My dining partner had the paradise fish. A fried filet of fish with vegetables and a sweet sauce. She really enjoyed the meal. All in all, a good experience. We will go back and I plan to try the pho on our next trip.
