Spent a day Lexington for work-related purposes and needed to find a good place for lunch. Originally, I was gonna stop by a Tropical Smoothie Cafe nearby, but then I saw this spot, and changed my mind. I hadn't had good Chinese in a bit so I decided to check it out. Glad I did because the service was excellent, the food was very delicious, the atmosphere was pretty laid back, and price on their lunch specials were nice too. I went with the cashew chicken lunch special with a bowl of hotsour soup. You order at the counter and they bring it to you once it's ready. My soup came first and it was so good that I tipped the bowl and drank the rest of the broth at the bottom. My cashew chicken was great too and they definitely didn't skimp on the portions. I thought I was gonna have some left over but it was too good to stop eating. This was an excellent find for a lunch stop. I'd absolutely go back if I'm in the area again. read more

I really wanted to recommend this place as some of the reviews said it was Family beyond. Obviously a small family owned restaurant is to be revered so so I ordered sweet-and-sour which was fantastic soup it was great top of the line. I also ordered hunan prawn It was awful. Just a lot of onions are really tiny amount of green pepper and prawns. Everything about this dish was wrong and I'm so sad to say, despite the kind lady who runs the front of the house - I can't give this a lower recommendation than one star. read more

I am glad to find this place. I just moved to this area and looking for a place to order hot food that is not a chain restaurant or fastfood. They don't use msg so if you are looking for that type of flavor maybe this is not the place. But for homemade and fresh food for family this is the place. I picked up food here for a late lunch, which was delicious. I ordered beef lo mein and chicken with ginger sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed my lo mein so quickly when I took it to-go and ate at the park that's close by. The place can be found in a shopping center close to Kroger and has plenty of parking spots. We got take out for the family and it couldn't have been worse! The fried rice tasted just like regular rice with soy sauce, no egg, no vegetables and no flavor. My orange chicken was burnt, hard as a rock and the sauce was dark brown with no taste. The general tso chicken was also burnt and the meat was tough, and the sauce tasted like bbq sauce. It's a little restaurant in a strip mall. If no one is out front, ring the bell. You can place your order to go or eat in the clean and comfortable dining room. I don't know when I have been so warmly greeted in a restaurant. The cook was also our server, and I believe she must also be the owner. If not, she definitely deserves a raise. She proudly pointed out her most popular dishes and recommended we try the Chicken Dumplings as an appetizer. We had Mongolian Beef, Orange Chicken and of course the dumplings. It was all delicious. Located within walking distance from my office, a colleague of mine let me know I could just order online and go pick it up. I looked online and their full menu is on there and easy to order. SANTI was very customer friendly and polite. However, the food was most probably the most horrendously disgusting I have ever eaten at a Chinese restaurant. The beef in the fried rice and in the wonton soup was so tough and rubbery, that I had to throw it all out. The House Special Chow Mein and the House Special fried rice was horribly tasteless, and there was only one small shrimp and one piece of chicken in it. I paid $44 dollars for that. This is an expensive place to eat, compared to other Asian food. I had eaten there once and it was delicious. I didn't mind to pay a little more for good food. I'm not sure if it's because business is slow or what is going on, but the food I ordered was not edible. I had sweet and sour chicken and house rice. All of the meat was so dry and tough, that it was thrown in the trash. The fried rice was mushy and the vegetables were overcooked. I feel like this may have been yesterdays food.
