I am giving this a one star based only on my service experience today. The food is great. A friend and I went for lunch today and not long into our meal the waitress comes over and interrupted our conversation and started preaching to us pushing her religious beliefs on us while we tried to eat and talk. I have been looking forward to trying this place since it opened. Today, we finally were in the area with time to kill for a sit down lunch, so we figured why not? It was horrible. Everything had a very off taste. Only the chocolate pudding and the $3.00 Pepsi were palatable. The Asian Buffet in Cadillac was gross. Felt like the food had been out for a while and was old. Just not good sadly.

Update: Asian Buffet questioned me as if I were correct on my choice of location? Perhaps I made a mistake? My wife was born in Cadillac, so are our children. I am an interstate truck driver, I know addresses. I also remember when we got sick there. It was awful, and every word I wrote happened exactly how I explained it. Your place looks beautiful, but it was not ran beautifully. I am insulted that you would further cast denigrations onto my recollection of what was obviously a horrible experience perpetrated by your establishment upon my unsuspecting family. Try apologizing, offering explanation, something resembling humility maybe? We have family throughout the Traverse City/Cadillac/Marion area. Believe me when I say we have spread the word on your treatment of customers. No one from our circle have/will EVER frequent your establishment again, I promise you sir. I was looking for a "Chinese" buffet and found this. I pulled into the empty lot and walked in. The place only had 1 table with 3 people. What did I get myself into? Why was it dead at 2pm? Ahh give it a shot I thought. First the food was hot and fresh with a good variety. The service was quick and friendly. The hibachi cook finished my dish and had me step over to the sushi area where he made me some fresh tuna sashimi. If I could give it over 5 stars I would. My sister is I love with the Sauteed String Beans, Vegetable Lo Mein, and they're egg rolls. Ate 3 FULL PLATES of each. My cousin is obsessed with the clams. And my baby cousin ate literally everything. I definitely say give it a shot if you haven't yet, the staff is super friendly and the place is so nice and we'll put together. We were jonesing for Asian food and decided on Asian Buffet on Mitchell. Great choice! He had the Kung Bo chicken and was very pleased. I had the broccoli in garlic sauce- positively delicious! The soups were outstanding as well, both the hot and sour and the won-ton. Everything was fresh, nothing overdone or over seasoned. I'd recommend Asian Buffet to anyone. read more

The last time we had gone I remember being shocked at how expensive it was, but figured that price was because it was a weekend night and there were some specialty items on the buffet. Some of the food is good but most of the time something is cold. Don't waste money paying for dinner buffet on Sunday (extra for crab legs and crawdads) because they only put out like 8-10 crab legs at a time for the whole buffet. Ripoff. When you ask for more you still wait 10 minutes and by then there is a line and they are gone again. It gets ridiculous. Went for lunch, (usually go to the Great Wall in the strip mall with McDonald's etc.But we thought we'd try a different place for fun). We were a party of 5, 3 adults and two kids (6 & 3). Most of the chicken dishes were stringy and tough. Way too tough to eat. The sesame chicken was ok. The sweet and sour was ok. Some of the honey chicken was simply inedible, it was so tough. This place is a typical Americanized Chinese fast food joint. The food isn't anything special but it isn't bad either. I have tried most of the dishes they offer but have found that they only do a few very well. So I stick to my two or three items when I do go. The owners and workers keep the place tidy and neat so that is a plus in my book. So if you gotta scratch that chow mien orange chicken itch, this isn't a bad place to do it. One of the better and cleaner Asian buffets as I'm usually NOT a fan of Buffets. People/staff are very attentive. You get a lot of selection, either for lunch or dinners. If u are big on seafood/frog legs/snow crab, go on friday after 4pm. Great soups...Things for everyone/fair pricing and they keep food "full". Also have a sushi bar and a guy there to cook "fresh stirfrys" as you desire. Pretty inside. Live fish tank, pretty chandeliars. Nice place really:) read more
